What is Just Another Grass Seed?
1 part
Just Another Grass Seed adds a single item you'll meet in this pack: Grass Seed. The pack ships version 21.1.5 of the mod, built for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge, and it has been in the pack since 1.0.1 or earlier.[1]
Where it fits in progression
You run into it right at the start. The "the_beginning" quest chapter has a quest, a quest in "?", whose task is to obtain Grass Seed. It unlocks after another quest in the same chapter (5FCEA8229BB6955C), so it's an early step rather than something you save for later.[2]
Unverified The sources don't describe how Grass Seed is obtained or crafted, what it does when used, or any pack-specific config changes. Check in-game before you plan around it.
Unverified The sources don't show whether this mod is part of the ATM Star path, so treat it as unconfirmed.
How do you get started with Just Another Grass Seed?
4 parts
In this pack, your first steps with this mod are getting hold of Grass Seed and then crafting Fake Grass Blocks. Here's the order I'd do it in.[2][3]
Step 1: Get Grass Seed by sifting dirt
The pack adds a sifting recipe: you sift dirt with a Mechanical Cloth Mesh (Mechanical Cloth Mesh). The possible results include Grass Seed, along with many other seeds and plants such as wheat seeds, melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, sugar cane and bamboo. Because the pack added this recipe, it is the route to the seed in this pack.[3]

Step 2: Complete the Grass Seed quest
Grass Seed has its own quest in The Beginning chapter. It asks you to obtain Grass Seed and comes after an earlier quest in that chapter. See a quest in "?".[2]
Step 3: Make a Fake Grass Block
The pack adds two ways to craft the base Fake Grass Block. The first turns a regular grass block into a Fake Grass Block.[3]
Shapeless crafting recipe added by the pack.
The second needs no grass block. It uses Super Glue, dirt and moss carpet instead.[3]
Second recipe for the base block, also added by the pack.
Step 4: Pick a biome variant with the stonecutter
Once you have the base block, the pack lets you convert it into biome variants with a stonecutter. The variants are Badlands, Birch, Cheery, Dark Forest, Desert, Jungle, Mangrove, Meadow, Mushroom, Ocean, Pale Garden, Plains, Snow, Sparse Jungle and Swamp. Here is Fake Grass Block (Plains) as an example.[3]

Every variant can also be stonecut back into the plain Fake Grass Block, so you can change your mind later.[3]

How does Just Another Grass Seed work?
3 parts
Here's the honest picture: for Just Another Grass Seed, the sources only show how its items are obtained and converted in this pack. No machines, multiblocks, power or fluid systems are documented, so this section covers the recipe chains and nothing more.[3]
Getting Grass Seed
In this pack, Grass Seed comes from sifting. The pack adds a sifting recipe that uses a Mechanical Cloth Mesh, and Grass Seed is one of many possible outputs. The other outputs include farming seeds, rice, a Menril sapling, bamboo, cocoa beans and sugar cane.[3]

Making Fake Grass Blocks
The pack adds two ways to craft a Fake Grass Block. Both are shapeless recipes, so ingredient placement doesn't matter.[3]

Second shapeless recipe added by the pack.
Biome variants via the stonecutter
Biome-themed variants are made with a stonecutter, not a crafting grid. The pack adds stonecutting recipes that turn the plain Fake Grass Block into variants, and every variant can be stonecut back into the plain block.[3]
Variants confirmed as stonecutter outputs from the plain block are Fake Grass Block (Badlands), Fake Grass Block (Birch), Fake Grass Block (Cheery), Fake Grass Block (Dark_forest), Fake Grass Block (Desert), Fake Grass Block (Jungle), Fake Grass Block (Mangrove), Fake Grass Block (Meadow), Fake Grass Block (Mushroom) and Fake Grass Block (Ocean).[3]
Reverting to the plain block is confirmed for those same variants plus Fake Grass Block (Pale_garden), Fake Grass Block (Plains), Fake Grass Block (Snow), Fake Grass Block (Sparse_jungle) and Fake Grass Block (Swamp).[3]

How do you progress through Just Another Grass Seed?

In this pack, Just Another Grass Seed has a short path: get the seed, craft Fake Grass Blocks, then swap them between biome looks. The sources show no tiers or upgrades, only these steps.[2][3]

Once you have the base block, the pack lets you change its look with stonecutting. Each recipe converts the base Fake Grass Block into one biome variant. The other variants in the pack are Badlands, Birch, Cheery, Dark Forest, Jungle, Mangrove, Meadow, Ocean, Pale Garden and Sparse Jungle.[3]

How does Just Another Grass Seed work with other mods?
4 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.15.0 guide
This pack ties Just Another Grass Seed into several other mods through recipes it adds itself. These are the connections the pack's recipes and quests confirm.[4]
Getting Grass Seed by sifting dirt
The pack adds a Create Sifter recipe that sifts Dirt with a Mechanical Cloth Mesh. Grass Seed is one of the possible results.[4]
The same sift also gives seeds and crops from other mods, plus some vanilla items. The sources do not show drop chances.[4]
- Farmer's Delight: Cabbage Seeds, Rice Crops and Tomato Seeds.[4]
- Immersive Engineering: Industrial Hemp Seeds.[4]
- Integrated Dynamics: Menril Sapling.[4]

Fake Grass Block with Create
The pack adds a shapeless crafting recipe for the Fake Grass Block. It connects the mod to Create, since the recipe uses Super Glue.[4]
Added by the pack.
Grass Seed and Ender IO
The pack also adds a Lychee item-inside recipe, grass_seed_from_dirt_water, that uses Grass Seed together with Grains of Infinity from Ender IO. The recipe dump lists no output for it.[4]

Which FTB Skies 2 quests use Just Another Grass Seed?
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
In this pack, the mod shows up in one quest, and it lives in the "the_beginning" chapter. It's an early-game quest, so you'll run into it near the start of your run.[6]
The quest is a quest in "?", and it has no title in the pack files. Its task is an item task: you hand in Grass Seed. That's all the quest asks for.[6]
It comes after the quest with the id 5FCEA8229BB6955C in the same chapter, so you need to finish that one first before this one unlocks.[6]
Unverified The sources don't say what the previous quest asks for, whether this quest gives a reward, or how you obtain Grass Seed in this pack. Check the in-game quest book for those details.
