Terms and credits
Last updated 4 October 2026
ForgeBase is a free fan-made guide to modded Minecraft packs. By using it you agree to these terms, which are written to be read.
Using the site
Use it as you like for your own play and for sharing links. Please do not overload it, scrape it hard, try to get into the admin area, or post anything unlawful, abusive or spam. We may remove content or accounts that break these terms.
How far to trust a guide
Guides are drafted with the help of AI from the packs' own files and the mods' documentation, every statement cites its source, and a guide goes live only after a person has reviewed it. That still does not make it perfect: packs change, and so do mods. A page shows the version it was checked against; if yours differs, check the source. Before you delete a mod, change a config or move a world, make a backup. The guides are given as they are, with no promise that they are complete, correct or fit for your purpose, and we are not liable for lost worlds, lost time or anything else that follows from using them, as far as the law allows.
Not affiliated
ForgeBase is not an official Minecraft product or service, and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the All the Mods team, CurseForge or Overwolf, Modrinth, or any mod author. Their names are used only to say which pack or mod a page is about.
Credits and ownership
Everything we draw on belongs to its authors:
- Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. Mod, pack and company names and logos are trademarks of their owners.
- Mods, their names, descriptions, textures, sounds and in-game text belong to their authors and are used under their own licences.
- Mod, version and changelog data comes from CurseForge and Modrinth and from each mod's own project pages. Data provided by CurseForge and Modrinth.
- Pack contents, recipes, configs and quest books are read from the packs as their authors release them. The packs belong to their authors.
- Where a mod's licence allows it, an item picture is that mod's own texture, credited on the item's page. Otherwise the picture is our own drawing in the texture's colours, and none of the author's artwork is stored or served.
The guide text and the site itself are ours. Short quotations from sources are shown with a link back to them.
Your comments
You own what you write. By posting you let us show it on the site and keep it while it is useful, and you promise it is yours to post. We can edit, hide or remove a comment, and we do not have to publish it.
Corrections and removal
If a guide is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. If you made a mod or a pack and want something of yours changed or taken down, including a name, a picture or a quotation, write to us with the page address and what you want done, and we will act on it promptly. We would rather remove something than argue about it. Say if you are the rights holder, so we can deal with it properly. Every guide also has a Report a mistake link.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when. Carrying on using the site means you accept the current version.
