What is Ender IO?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 5.5 guide
Ender IO is a full-featured tech mod that covers a lot of ground in one package: machines, conduits, armor, weapons, tools, enchantments and decorative blocks. If you enjoy tech mods, this one gives you plenty to dig into, from processing machines to the conduits you'll use to move things around your base.[1]
Conduits
Conduits are one of the mod's headline features. These are the types the mod lists:[1]
- Item conduits[1]
- Fluid conduits[1]
- Energy conduits[1]
- Redstone conduits[1]
- Applied Energistics 2 ME conduits[1]
- Refined Storage conduits[1]
- Mekanism chemical conduits[1]
Ender IO in this pack
All the Mods 10 5.5 ships Ender IO 8.1.1-beta. The mod has been part of the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.[2]
Unverified The available sources don't cover where Ender IO fits into this pack's progression.
How do you get started with Ender IO?
6 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.12 guide
Ender IO is a full-featured tech mod: machines, conduits, armor, weapons, tools, enchantments and decorative blocks all live under one roof. This pack ships the monolithic version, so you get the Base, Machines, Conduits, Inventory Panel, AE2 ME conduits, Refined Storage conduits and a few compat modules in a single mod.[1]
First craft: a Basic Capacitor
The Basic Capacitor is the gateway item for everything else. It feeds straight into the Double-Layer Capacitor and into your first power storage, so make a few early and keep them around.[6]

Your first machines
Ender IO machines are built around the Void Chassis. The Alloy Smelter is the one to aim for first, since alloys are what the rest of the mod runs on.[6]

Conduits
Conduits are the other half of the mod: items, fluids, energy, redstone, AE2 ME, Refined Storage and Mekanism chemicals all have their own type.[1]
Conduit Binder Composite is the crafting step you can do on day one with no machines at all, and Conduit Binder is what turns AE2 cable into an Ender IO Conduit Bundle.[6]

Filters
To control what your conduits move, you need filters. enderio:black_paper is the shared base, and the enderio:basic_filter is cheap enough to make in bulk; the enderio:advanced_filter is the later upgrade.[6]

How does Ender IO work?
7 parts
Ender IO is a full-featured tech mod: it brings machines, conduits, armor, weapons, tools, enchantments and decorative blocks under one roof, so you can build a whole base around it instead of bolting it onto something else.[1]
The version in this pack is the monolithic build, which bundles the core modules together: Base, Machines, Conduits, Inventory Panel, ME Conduits for Applied Energistics 2, OC Conduits for Open Computers, RS Conduits for Refined Storage, Forestry and Tinkers Construct. The Zoo and Endergy add-on modules are not part of this jar, so anything from those two is simply not here.[1]
Conduits
Conduits are the backbone of an Ender IO base. They are thin lines that run through your build and carry everything between machines, and several different kinds can share the same block space.[1]
- Item conduits[1]
- Fluid conduits[1]
- Energy conduits[1]
- Redstone conduits[1]
- Applied Energistics 2 ME conduits[1]
- Refined Storage conduits[1]
- Mekanism chemical conduits[1]
In this pack the ME conduits are made by combining Conduit Binder with AE2 cable, and there is a separate recipe for each cable tier, so your existing cable stock converts straight into conduit form.[7]

Filtering what moves
Item movement is controlled with filter items rather than by micromanaging your conduits by hand. The basic tier is enderio:basic_filter, and enderio:advanced_filter is the step up, built on enderio:black_paper and a Z-Logic Controller.[7]

Machines and chassis
Ender IO machines in this pack are assembled around a chassis component. The Alloy Smelter, for example, is built on a Void Chassis, while soul-flavoured blocks such as the Aversion Obelisk use an Ensouled Chassis instead. Once you can make chassis in bulk, the rest of the machine line-up gets much cheaper to expand.[7]

Collision glass
Ender IO's decorative glass has a set of token-crafted variants. Combining Clear Glass with Animal Token, Monster Token or Player Token produces a different glass block for each token, and the darkened and enlightened glasses have their own token variants too, so you can mix one token type into each base glass.[7]

Alloy blocks and compression
All of Ender IO's alloy storage blocks plug into the pack's compression chain. Dark steel, end steel, soularium, and the redstone, conductive, copper, energetic, pulsating and vibrant alloy blocks each have a decompression recipe that turns a 1x compressed block back into nine of the Ender IO block, which is handy when you have been stockpiling alloys in compressed form.[7]

How do you progress through Ender IO?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.12 guide
Ender IO in this pack is an alloy ladder. Almost every conduit, capacitor and upgrade exists in two or three versions, and the version you can build is decided by which of the mod's alloys you have running. Get one more alloy online and a whole row of items steps up a tier, usually with the exact same crafting shape.[6]
First step: conduit binder
Nothing conduit-related happens until you can make Conduit Binder Composite. It's a cheap crafting-table item from early-game materials, and it's the shared base for every conduit recipe in the pack, including the ones that wrap AE2 cables.[6]

Energy conduit tiers
There are three energy conduit recipes, and they all output the same conduit item; the difference is which alloy you feed in. Each step up wants the next alloy in the chain, so your conduit tier naturally follows your smelting progress.[6]

Machines: chassis first
Most Ender IO machines here are built around a chassis. The regular machines such as the Alloy Smelter, Crafter and Drain are all built on Void Chassis, so once you can make chassis in bulk the whole machine line opens up at once.[6]

The soul-flavoured side of the mod uses Ensouled Chassis instead, which is what the Aversion Obelisk is built from. The obelisk also wants an Enderman Head, and the pack adds a way to craft that head from Mystical Agriculture enderman essence, so you don't have to farm drops for it.[6]

Upgrades and grinding balls
Conduit extraction speed comes in two tiers, and like the capacitor bank there's an in-place upgrade recipe from tier one to tier two, so build enderio:extraction_speed_upgrade_1 as soon as you need it and convert later.[6]
Crafting Shapeless
- Extraction Speed Upgrade 1
- any conductive alloy ingot
- any conductive alloy ingot
Recipe id: enderio:extraction_speed_upgrade_1_upgrade

- Grinding balls are a clean tier marker of their own: enderio:copper_alloy_grinding_ball, Conductive Alloy Grinding Ball, Energetic Alloy Grinding Ball, Dark Steel Grinding Ball and End Steel Grinding Ball are all craftable in this pack.[6]
- Item filters tier up too: enderio:basic_filter is the entry version, while enderio:advanced_filter needs a Z-Logic Controller on top of the same black paper base.[6]
- Every alloy has the usual nugget, ingot and block conversions, and the pack's compressed blocks decompress straight back into Ender IO storage blocks such as End Steel Block.[6]
Unverified The actual alloying recipes (what goes into each alloy in the Alloy Smelter) weren't part of the recipe data used for this page. Check JEI in game for the exact inputs and counts before planning a tier jump. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How does Ender IO work with other mods?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.12 guide
Ender IO is built to talk to other mods out of the box: alongside item, fluid, energy and redstone conduits it ships conduit types for Applied Energistics 2 ME channels, Refined Storage and Mekanism chemicals, so one conduit bundle can carry several mods' networks.[1]
On top of that, this pack adds its own recipes that tie Ender IO into Mekanism, Modular Machinery Reborn, Mystical Agriculture and All the Compressed, so you will be touching Ender IO materials even if you never build one of its machines.[6]
Mekanism
The pack adds crafting recipes that convert Mekanism's pressurized tubes and thermodynamic conductors into Ender IO conduits, plus upgrade recipes so you can push a conduit up to the next tier instead of starting over.[6]

There are matching pack recipes for the advanced and elite pressurized tube tiers as well, so the conversion covers more than just the basic tier.[6]
Modular Machinery Reborn
This is the deepest link in the pack. Modular Machinery Reborn's casings are crafted with Ender IO components, which means Ender IO is effectively a prerequisite for any MMR multiblock you want to build.[6]

The item input and output buses (both tiny and reinforced) are built around Impulse Hopper, the gearbox casing uses Dark Bimetal Gear, and the Mekanism chemical input and output hatches use enderio:chemical_filter. Keep a stock of those on hand before you start scaling up multiblocks.[6]
Ender IO items in pack multiblock recipes
Ender IO parts also show up as inputs inside the pack's own multiblock processing recipes. The Auto Hephaestus Forge recipes consume End Steel Ingot for the Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium lines, and Z-Logic Controller for the machine-duplicating recipes that cover Mekanism's chemical machines, the Arcane Core and Enchanting Apparatus, and more.[6]
The Runic Enchanter recipes use Ender IO materials too: Dark Steel Ingot for the lower-tier enchanting bases, and Experience Rod or Grains of Infinity for supremium-tier ones.[6]
Mystical Agriculture
Nearly every Ender IO alloy can be farmed instead of smelted. Mystical Agriculture provides essences that craft into copper alloy, redstone alloy, conductive alloy, energetic alloy, pulsating alloy, dark steel, end steel, soularium and grains of infinity, which is a great way to mass-produce conduit and machine materials once your farms are running.[6]
The pack also adds a recipe that turns a Blank Skull plus enderman essence into an Ender IO enderman head, so you don't have to farm heads by hand.[6]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: allthemods:essence/enderio/enderman_head
All the Compressed
All nine Ender IO alloy storage blocks (copper alloy, redstone alloy, conductive alloy, energetic alloy, vibrant alloy, pulsating alloy, dark steel, end steel and soularium) can be compressed one step further into All the Compressed 1x blocks.[6]
Which Ender IO config options matter?
There's nothing to tune here. The pack ships no config files for this mod, so every option runs at whatever the mod itself defaults to, and nothing has been changed for this pack.[1]
That also means you don't need to touch anything before you start building machines and conduits. Energy, item, fluid, redstone, Applied Energistics 2 ME, Refined Storage and Mekanism chemical conduits are all present in the version bundled here, as are the machines, armor, weapons, tools, enchantments and decorative blocks.[1]
Unverified Any in-game config screen this mod may expose has not been checked against the pack, so treat anything you find there as mod defaults rather than pack-tuned values.
What changed in Ender IO between versions?
4 parts
All the Mods 10 2.11 ships Ender IO 7.0.11-alpha. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 0.53 or earlier. There are no pack changelog entries for Ender IO, so everything below comes from the mod's own release notes.[8]
7.0.0-alpha: the NeoForge rewrite
Ender IO 7 stays in alpha until the developers are happy with the stability of the existing content. They also warned that some early-game recipes are planned to change.[9]
- Conduits were rewritten with datapack support (facades were still work-in-progress at the 7.0.0 release), and RS2 conduits were added.[9]
- A texture overhaul and GUI redesign by CyanideX, which the 7.0.0 notes describe as work-in-progress.[9]
- New content: The Vat for fluid crafting, the Phantom solar panel, and the inhibitor, aversion and relocator obelisks.[9]
- Grains of Infinity can be got through sag-milling and by setting deepslate on fire. Sag-mill recipes were added for raw iron, gold and copper.[9]
- Enchantments were temporarily removed.[9]
7.0.1 to 7.0.5: filters, energy conduits and crafters
- 7.0.1 added chemical filters, with LaserIO compatibility.[10]
- 7.0.3 changed the energy conduit cap to be per-node instead of per-tick. Shift+clicking a filter on the vacuum chest now targets the filter slot first.[11]
- 7.0.5 fixed the crafter so it works without energy, and so it checks that the full amount of energy is present.[12]
7.0.7 and 7.0.8: recipe and conduit changes
7.0.7 made all machine recipes support item components. This was a breaking change to the recipe format, so custom datapacks may not work as expected. It also fixed item duplication and item voiding in filters, and a sunflower grinding recipe that wrongly required vines.[13]
7.0.8 dropped Minecraft 1.21 support, so 1.21.1 is required from there on. Conduit JSON reading changed too. Transfer rates are now per-tick for almost all conduits, except item conduits, which are per-second. If you have custom conduits, review their transfer rates.[14]
- Fluid conduits that were not working at all were fixed.[14]
- The redstone conduit now connects to Copper Bulbs.[14]
- The alloy smelter now smelts a vanilla recipe when all input slots are filled.[14]
7.0.9 and 7.0.11: the current build
7.0.9 added JEI click areas and ghost dragging. It also fixed crafters accidentally sharing a global crafting container, and incorrect redstone control icons.[15]
7.0.11, the version in this pack, is a hotfix. It fixes a conduit dupe when breaking with the yeta wrench and tweaks XP obelisk calculations to avoid a lockup.[8][16]
