AllTheModium in All the Mods 10

AllTheModium is the All the Mods Team's own mod, built to give you more to chase after Netherite. It adds three new ores (Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium) plus the smithing templates, armor and tools made from them. All the Mods 10 8.1 ships version 3.0.1.^[1][2][3]

If your Netherite gear is starting to feel limiting, this is your next step. It also matters if you're working toward the ATM Star, because several Star components come from this mod. The pack has a dedicated Allthemodium quest chapter you can follow the whole way.^[3][4]

Where it fits in your progression

1. Allthemodium: You need a Netherite-tier pickaxe or better. Look for the ore in the walls and ceilings of Deep Dark caves. Get the Allthemodium Smithing Template by brushing Suspicious Clay in Ancient City floors.^[4][5]
2. Vibranium: You need an Allthemodium pickaxe or the same tier. The ore is rare in the Nether and abundant in The Other. Get the Vibranium Smithing Template by brushing Suspicious Soul Sand in Nether Bastions.^[4]
3. Unobtainium: You need a Vibranium pickaxe or the same tier. The ore is very rare and only turns up in End Highlands biomes.^[4]

In this pack you can't craft the Allthemodium tools directly anymore. You always upgrade Netherite ones instead, and the upgrade keeps your enchantments and repairs the tool. The built-in tools are indestructible, and the armor gives bonus perks on top of its raw stats.^[4][6][7]

One of the first things worth making is a Teleport Pad. Place one in the Overworld to reach the Mining Dimension, a superflat world where Allthemodium is easy to find. Place one in the Nether to reach The Other, a very hostile dimension full of dungeons and loot.^[4][5][8][9]

The ATM Star path

The ATM Star chapter sends you through this mod for several parts. The Star's Casing needs 28 Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy, which you make with Ars Nouveau's Enchanting Apparatus. You also need an Block of Unobtainium - Vibranium Alloy that gets awakened at a Star Altar. Finally there's the Block of Piglich Hearts: it takes 9 hearts, dropped by the Piglich boss in The Other's Ancient Pyramid.^[3]

AllTheModium adds three new ores: Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium. All three are very rare and can be hard to find, so a bit of planning goes a long way. In this pack the Allthemodium quest chapter opens up after you reach an Ancient City, and the steps below follow the order the quest book recommends.^[4][11]

Get the right pickaxe and find the ore

You need a Netherite-tier pickaxe or better to mine Allthemodium. In this pack's harvest tiers, Tier 5 is basically just for Allthemodium Ore. Your goal is Raw Allthemodium Ore, which completes the "Harvest Tier 5" quest quest.^[4][12]

• The Deep Dark biome, in cave walls and ceilings.^[1][5]
• Very high up in the Mountains, above Y 170, where it is a common spawn.^[5]
• Everywhere in the Mining Dimension between Y -59 and Y 20.^[5]

Turning raw ore into an ingot

The mod calls the Allthemodium Nugget the first step of many. You can turn nuggets back into a full Allthemodium Ingot, which completes "Allthemodium Ingot" quest.^[4][13][14]

Make Teleport Pads

Before you spend everything on gear, the quest book recommends making 2 Teleport Pad items with your nuggets. They are your ticket to two new dimensions, and they complete "Teleport Pad" quest.^[4]

• Place a Teleport Pad in the Overworld to reach the Mining Dimension. It is a superflat dimension, great for quarries or as a testing area, and it is full of Allthemodium Ore.^[5][8]
• Place a Teleport Pad in the Nether to reach The Other. It is a very hostile dimension with underground cities, dungeons and ancient pyramids full of monsters and loot.^[9]

Find the Allthemodium Smithing Template

You can't craft Allthemodium tools directly in this pack. Instead you upgrade Netherite gear, and for that you need the Allthemodium Smithing Template. You find it in Ancient Cities by using a brush on Suspicious Clay in the floors. This completes "Allthemodium Smithing Template" quest.^[1][4]

Once you have one template, you can duplicate it. The pack has changed this recipe, so check the version below instead of relying on older guides.^[14]

Upgrade your pickaxe first

The quest book recommends upgrading your pickaxe next, because you need an Allthemodium Pickaxe or a tool of the same tier to mine Vibranium. Upgrading keeps your enchantments and repairs the tool, and Allthemodium tools are indestructible. This counts toward "Allthemodium Tools" quest.^[4][6]

Armor upgrades from Netherite the same way and keeps its enchantments. A full Allthemodium set gives 24 Armor Points, 20 Armor Toughness and 50% Knockback Resistance, plus extras on each piece, like Fire Resistance on the chestplate and fall damage resistance on the boots. What comes next

With your new pickaxe, head for Vibranium. It shows up rarely in the Nether above Y 64 and much more often deep underground in the caves of The Other, which is exactly where your Nether Teleport Pad takes you. That leads into "Vibranium Ingot" quest.^[4][15]

AllTheModium is built around three rare metals (Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium) plus the armour, tools and smithing templates made from them. Its core systems are a progression chain of smithing upgrades, a Teleport Pad that takes you to two extra dimensions, and the crafting and processing routes for its metals.^[1][10][11]

Unverified None of the available sources describe machines, multiblocks, or power or fluid handling in AllTheModium. If you're looking for those, you'll need to rely on other mods in the pack.

The Teleport Pad

The Teleport Pad is how you reach The Mining Dimension and The Other. To use it, sneak and right-click the pad with both your main hand and your off hand empty. If you're holding anything at all, it won't fire.^[10][13]

• A Teleport Pad placed in the Overworld sends you to The Mining Dimension. It's a superflat dimension, so it works well as a spot for quarries and as a testing area.^[8]
• A Teleport Pad placed in the Nether sends you to The Other. This is a very hostile dimension with huge underground cities under biomes that have tree cover, plus dungeons and ancient pyramids full of monsters and loot.^[9]

The smithing upgrade chain

Allthemodium gear isn't crafted from scratch. You upgrade it step by step at a smithing table, and each tier needs its own smithing template. When you upgrade armour from Netherite to Allthemodium, it keeps its enchantments.^[7][13]

1. Netherite to Allthemodium: combine the Allthemodium upgrade template with a Netherite armour piece, weapon or tool, then add an Allthemodium Ingot.^[13]
2. Allthemodium to Vibranium: the Vibranium upgrade template takes an Allthemodium armour piece, weapon or tool as its base.^[13]
3. Vibranium to Unobtainium: combine the Unobtainium upgrade template with a Vibranium armour piece, weapon or tool, then add an Unobtainium ingot.^[13]

Unverified The sources don't say which material goes into the addition slot for the Vibranium upgrade. Check JEI in-game for the exact recipe. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

Where the templates come from

• Allthemodium templates: brush Suspicious Clay found in the basalt of Ancient Cities. You'll need a brush for this.^[1]
• Vibranium templates: find a Treasure Bastion Remnant and brush the Suspicious Soul Sand there.^[1]
• Unobtainium templates: head to The Other and find a dungeon with a library room, which should have 2 spawners in 2 corners. Loot all of its chests, or take on the trial spawner instead.^[1]

What the gear actually does

On top of its armour, toughness and knockback resistance, Allthemodium armour gives you some big utility perks. That's what makes the upgrade worth chasing.^[7]

• No crash damage when flying with an Elytra^[7]
• Immunity to fire damage^[7]
• No fall damage^[7]

The mod's built-in tools are all indestructible, so you never have to worry about durability once you've got them.^[6]

Processing the metals

Early on, you can crush Raw Allthemodium Ore into Allthemodium Dust in a regular crafting grid using any ore hammer, no machine needed.^[14]

The mod also defines Dirty and Clean Slurry chemicals for Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium. That points to a multi-step ore processing route for all three metals.^[13]

Unverified The sources don't say which machines or mods produce and use these slurries in this pack, or what the processing yields are. Look up the slurries in JEI to see the actual chain. Once you have ingots, the standard storage and component recipes apply. You can turn Allthemodium Nugget into ingots and back, pack ingots into a Block of Allthemodium and unpack them again, and craft ingots into a Allthemodium Gear, Allthemodium Plate or Allthemodium Rod.^[14]

If you compress your storage blocks, the pack has changed the decompression recipes that turn compressed blocks back into normal ones. This covers the metal blocks, the raw ore blocks, the alloy blocks such as Block of Vibranium - Allthemodium Alloy, and Block of Piglich Hearts, Ancient Stone and Ancient Log. Use the in-pack recipe rather than one you remember from elsewhere.^[14]

Allthemodium food

The mod's two foods are powerful emergency heals. The Allthemodium Apple gives 20 hunger and 80 saturation. It is fast to eat, can always be eaten, and grants Absorption X and Regeneration X for 30 seconds.^[16]

The Allthemodium Carrot is the stronger option, giving 40 hunger and 320 saturation. It has the same fast-to-eat and always-edible traits, plus Absorption X and Regeneration X for 30 seconds.^[17]

AllTheModium is the mod that takes you past Netherite in this pack. The ladder goes Allthemodium, then Vibranium, then Unobtainium. Each tier upgrades the gear from the tier before it at a smithing table, so you keep climbing with the same tools and armor instead of starting over. After Unobtainium come the alloys, which are gated behind the Piglich boss.^[3][4][18]

1. Allthemodium: mine the ore with a Netherite-tier pickaxe, find the Allthemodium Smithing Template in an Ancient City, and upgrade your Netherite gear.^[4]

4. Alloys: defeat the Piglich for its Piglich Heart to open up the three alloy ingots and the Allthemodium Alloy tools.^[4]

Tier 1: Allthemodium

The Chapter 2 quest line opens after the Ancient City quest. To mine Allthemodium Ore you need a pickaxe that is Netherite tier or higher. The "Harvest Tier 5" quest quest notes that tier 5 is basically just for Allthemodium Ore.^[4][12]

You'll find the ore in cave walls and ceilings of the Deep Dark biome. It's also a common spawn very high in mountains above 170Y, it appears everywhere in the Mining Dimension between Y -59 and Y 20, and it shows up in the Deepslate layer caves of The Other.^[5]

Your first ingots should go toward two Teleport Pads. A pad placed in the Overworld takes you to the Mining Dimension, and a pad placed in the Nether takes you to The Other.^[4][8][9]

A full Allthemodium armor set gives 24 Armor Points, 20 Armor Toughness and 50% Knockback Resistance. Each piece also has its own bonuses.^[4]

• Helmet: Water Breathing, immunity to the Warden's Darkness effect, and no Elytra damage.^[4]
• Chestplate: 50% Magic Damage Resistance and Fire Resistance.^[4]
• Leggings: Depth Strider and immunity to Wither.^[4]
• Boots: fall damage resistance, plus the ability to walk on Powdered Snow and Lava.^[4]

The Allthemodium Sword deals 18 Attack Damage. Vanilla Maces get an upgrade too: the Allthemodium Mace uses a whole Block of Allthemodium instead of an ingot and does more base and falling damage.^[4][12][14]

Tier 2: Vibranium

Vibranium needs an Allthemodium Pickaxe or equivalent tier. It's rare in the Nether, where it spawns above Y 64, and abundant deep in the caves of The Other. The Vibranium Smithing Template comes from brushing Suspicious Soul Sand in Nether Bastions. The quest also warns that Vibranium has the fewest uses of the three ores.^[4][15]

Vibranium Armor raises every stat: 32 Armor Points, 36 Armor Toughness, 80% Knockback Resistance and 75% Magic Damage Resistance. It doesn't add any new effects. The Vibranium Sword hits for 36 Attack Damage. The Vibranium Mace again takes a full Block of Vibranium. There's also a "Vibranium Shield" quest quest to complete.^[4][12][14]

Tier 3: Unobtainium

Unobtainium Ore is very rare. It only appears in End Highlands biomes below Y 78, and you'll need a Vibranium Pickaxe or equivalent tier to mine it. The Unobtainium Smithing Template needs no archaeology: you earn it by beating the Trial Spawners in the Library Rooms of the Dungeon structure in The Other.^[4][19]

Unobtainium Armor is the best armor in the mod. It gives 40 Armor Points, 60 Armor Toughness, 100% Knockback Resistance and 90% Magic Damage Resistance, and keeps the effects from the earlier tiers. The Unobtainium Sword deals 51 Attack Damage. The "Unobtainium Crossbow" quest and "Unobtainium Mace" quest quests round out this tier.^[4][12]

Beyond Unobtainium: the Piglich and the alloys

The Piglich is a boss that lives in the Ancient Pyramid in The Other. It has 9,999 Hearts but currently has no attacks. When it dies it drops a Piglich Heart, which you need for the alloys and the ATM Star. The quests suggest farming it with HNN or EnderIO. A Block of Piglich Hearts takes 9 hearts.^[3][4]

The "Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot" quest, "Vibranium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot" quest and "Unobtainium - Vibranium Alloy Ingot" quest quests all come after "Piglich Boss" quest. Those three alloy ingots then unlock the Allthemodium Alloy Axe, Shovel, Pick, Sword and Trident.^[4]

The Allthemodium Alloy Blade deals 69 Attack Damage, making it second among all swords. Once you have the alloy sword, pick, shovel and axe, you can go for the Allthemodium Alloy Paxel, which has the highest mining tier.^[4][12]

The alloys also feed into the endgame. The Star's Casing quest for the ATM Star asks for Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloys, 28 in total.^[3]

Unverified The quests disagree slightly on mining tiers. The chapter quests say Unobtainium needs a Vibranium Pickaxe, but the Basic Tools chapter lists every AllTheModium pickaxe under Tier 6, which it says can mine Vibranium and Unobtainium. Whether an Allthemodium Pickaxe can mine Unobtainium in this pack hasn't been confirmed.

AllTheModium's metals show up all over All the Mods 10. The pack plugs them into ore processing, block compression, storage and magic mods, and uses them as gatekeepers for some of the biggest endgame crafts. Here's where you'll run into them.^[14]

Ore processing with Mekanism

The "Allthemodium Ingot" quest quest recommends processing your ore with Fortune, Occultism or Mekanism to get more out of it. The Vibranium and Unobtainium ingot quests give the same advice.^[4]

In this pack, Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium each have Mekanism recipes, and the pack has changed these recipes from the mod's own versions. Dissolution turns ore, raw ore or raw blocks into dirty slurry. Injecting turns them into shards like Allthemodium Shard. Purifying turns them, or shards, into clumps like Allthemodium Clump.^[14]

Compressed blocks

AllTheCompressed lets you compress blocks from AllTheModium to save storage space and decompress them again later. This works for the metal blocks, the raw ore blocks, all three alloy blocks, Block of Piglich Hearts, Ancient Stone and Ancient Log. For example, Block of Unobtainium compresses into Unobtainium Block 1x.^[14]

On the Applied Energistics side, the pack changed the Advanced AE Quantum armor recipes so that each piece is built on its matching Unobtainium armor piece. Unobtainium Chestplate, for example, goes into Quantum Chestplate. The pack also changed the Strength Card recipe, which now uses a Vibranium Sword.^[14]

Endgame and creative items

The pack adds its own recipes for several creative items, and AllTheModium metals are part of them. Creative Energy Cube needs Block of Unobtainium. Creative Fluid Tank and Creative Chemical Tank both need Unobtainium Ingot.^[14]

Piglich Hearts

The "Piglich Boss" quest quest says the Piglich's heart is needed for the Alloys and the ATM Star. The quest also suggests looking into ways to farm hearts, such as HNN or EnderIO.^[4]

Piglich Hearts also go into two pack-added recipes. Block of Piglich Hearts is used for Dragon Soul, and Piglich Heart is used for Magical Soil.^[14]

Unverified The quest mentions HNN and EnderIO for farming Piglich Hearts, but the sources don't confirm how either setup works in this pack.

AllTheModium shows up in four quest chapters in this pack. The main one is Chapter 2: Allthemodium, which walks you through all three ores and their gear. Basic Tools and Basic Armor include AllTheModium gear in their progression, and Chapter 3: The ATM Star uses AllTheModium materials for the endgame.^{[3][4][12][18]}

Chapter 2: Allthemodium

This chapter follows the ore tiers in order. Each tier needs two things: an ingot and a smithing template. When you have both, that tier's gear quests unlock.^[4]

1. Allthemodium unlocks after the Ancient City quest. For "Allthemodium Ingot" quest you need a Netherite-tier or better pickaxe to mine the ore. For "Allthemodium Smithing Template" quest you brush Suspicious Clay in the floors of Ancient Cities.^[4]
2. With the ingot you can grab "Teleport Pad" quest. A Teleport Pad takes you to the Mining Dimension or The Other.^[4]
3. The ingot and template together unlock "Allthemodium Armor" quest, "Allthemodium Tools" quest, "Allthemodium Bow" quest and "Allthemodium Mace" quest. In this pack the tools can't be crafted directly. You upgrade Netherite gear instead, which keeps your enchantments.^[4]
4. Vibranium unlocks after The Nether quest. For "Vibranium Ingot" quest you need an Allthemodium-tier pickaxe, and the ore is rare in The Nether but abundant in The Other. For "Vibranium Smithing Template" quest you brush Suspicious Soul Sand in Bastions. These unlock "Vibranium Shield" quest, "Vibranium Mace" quest, "Vibranium Armor" quest and "Vibranium Tools" quest.^[4]
5. Unobtainium comes next. "Unobtainium Ingot" quest unlocks after The End, and the ore spawns very rarely in End Highlands biomes. You need a Vibranium-tier pickaxe to mine it. "Unobtainium Smithing Template" quest unlocks after The Other, and you earn the template by beating Trial Spawners in the Library Rooms of Dungeons in The Other. Together they unlock "Unobtainium Armor" quest, "Unobtainium Tools" quest, "Unobtainium Crossbow" quest and "Unobtainium Mace" quest.^[4]
6. "Piglich Boss" quest unlocks after the Ancient Pyramid quest and asks for a Piglich Heart. The Piglich has 9999 hearts.^[4]
7. The Piglich Boss quest leads into the three alloy ingot quests: "Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot" quest, "Vibranium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot" quest and "Unobtainium - Vibranium Alloy Ingot" quest.^[4]
8. All three alloys unlock the alloy gear: "Allthemodium Alloy Axe" quest, "Allthemodium Alloy Shovel" quest, "Allthemodium Alloy Pick" quest, "Allthemodium Alloy Sword" quest and "Allthemodium Alloy Trident" quest. Finishing the sword, pick, shovel and axe unlocks the capstone, "Allthemodium Alloy Paxel" quest.^[4]

Basic Tools and Basic Armor

The Basic Tools chapter has "Harvest Tier 5" quest, which asks for Raw Allthemodium Ore, and "Harvest Tier 6" quest, which asks for Raw Unobtainium Ore. Tier 6 is the highest harvest tier. The chapter also has untitled quests for the Allthemodium, Vibranium, Unobtainium and Alloy swords, labelled 18, 36, 51 and 69 attack damage. Another untitled quest, labelled Tier 6, accepts any of the AllTheModium pickaxes.^[12]

In Basic Armor, "Allthemodium" quest, "Vibranium" quest and "Unobtainium" quest each ask for that tier's ingot. "Allthemodium Armor" quest, "Vibranium Armor" quest and "Unobtainium Armor" quest each ask for the full four-piece set, labelled 24, 32 and 40. Each armor tier is made from the previous one, starting from Netherite.^[18]

Chapter 3: The ATM Star

The ATM Star chapter starts with "Allthemodium" quest, which asks for an Allthemodium Ingot. That quest unlocks "Piglich Heart Block" quest. The Piglich lives in the Ancient Pyramid in The Other and drops 1 heart on death, and you need 9 of them for the block.^[3]

"The Star's Casing" quest asks for 28 Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy along with 17 triple-compressed Nether Star blocks. You make the alloy blocks in an Ars Nouveau Enchanting Apparatus. "Awakened Unobtainium-Vibranium Alloy Block" quest asks for a Block of Unobtainium - Vibranium Alloy that you awaken in the Star Altar multiblock.^[3]

AllTheModium adds allthemodium, vibranium and unobtainium smithing templates, armor and tools. Its official project page focuses on where to find those materials, such as the Deep Dark, the Nether and the End Highlands. It doesn't describe any config options.^[1]

Unverified We couldn't confirm any AllTheModium config options for All the Mods 10 8.1.
