What is AllTheTweaks?

2 parts

AllTheTweaks is the mod behind the ATM Star, the big endgame goal of this pack. This pack runs AllTheTweaks 2.8.4, and its items show up as the key milestones in the quest chapter dedicated to building the ATM Star.[1][2]

Where it fits in progression

The ATM Star chapter is built around AllTheTweaks components. Each component quest only unlocks after you finish a long list of earlier quests covering progress from lots of other mods, so this mod is for you once you're deep into the endgame and ready to tie everything together.[2]

After your first ATM Star

The story doesn't end with one star. In the Creative chapter, you right-click a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block to get a Starry Bee, which needs another ATM Star Block to pollinate. Its Starry Combs can be run through a Centrifuge to rarely get Star Shards.[3]

To remake the ATM Star you need an Infused Patrick Star, which is crafted in a Runic Star Altar from a Patrick Star, Star Shards from your bees and a few other endgame materials.[3]

Unverified The available sources don't show whether AllTheTweaks adds any features beyond the ATM Star items and quests covered here.

How do you get started with AllTheTweaks?

5 parts

AllTheTweaks is the mod behind this pack's end goal: the ATM Star. The Chapter 3 quests treat crafting it as beating the pack. Most of the work is building its ingredients, so here is the order I'd take them in.[2]

Step 1: The three Miniature Portals

Start with the Miniature Portals. Their quests unlock after the Apothic Mods quest, and the Dimensional Seed quest comes after all three. Each portal is built around an Apotheosis shelf, so you'll be working through enchanting first.[2]

The Miniature Nether Portal is built around the Hellshelf of Masterful Sight. You enchant to an Infused Hellshelf and then craft with it to upgrade it further. The quest is a quest in "Chapter 3: The ATM Star".[2][4]

The Miniature End Portal needs a lot of Endshelves, the last shelf tiers you get from Apotheosis. Those need Infused Dragon's Breath, plus Eyes of Ender. See a quest in "Chapter 3: The ATM Star".[2][4]

The Miniature Exit Portal is the most expensive of the three. It needs Infused Dragon's Breath and Soul-Touched Sculkshelves. The quest points out that you don't have to keep milking the dragon for its egg: you can get Dragon Eggs with HNN or MA, or make more with an Extractor. See a quest in "Chapter 3: The ATM Star".[2][4]

Step 2: Dimensional Seed

With the portals done, you can craft the Dimensional Seed. It is one of the items the ATM Star recipe needs. The quest is "Dimensional Seed" quest.[2][4]

Step 3: Patrick Star

The Patrick Star has more than one route in this pack. The recipe below is a Create mechanical crafting recipe. A star altar recipe and a productive bees centrifuge recipe also produce it. See "Patrick Star" quest.[2][4]

The rest of the ATM Star ingredients

The pack's ATM Star recipe is a star altar recipe. It also asks for the Pulsating Black Hole, Nexium Emitter, Wither's Compass, Improbable Probability Device, Philosopher's Fuel, Dragon Soul and Oblivion Shard. Each has its own recipe added by the pack and its own quest in Chapter 3, so plan these as long-term projects.[2][4]

After your first Star: Star Shards

Chapter 4 shows how to remake Stars without doing all of that again. Right-click a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block to get a Starry Bee. You need another ATM Star Block for them to pollinate. Starry Combs go into a centrifuge, which rarely gives ATM Star Shard.[3][4]

Tip: The quest says you need 262 Star Shards in total to remake one Star, so set up a good bee farm early. The Infused Patrick Star also uses Star Shards, and the quest says it is made in a Runic Star Altar from a Patrick Star plus other items.[3]

How does AllTheTweaks work?

3 parts

Here's the honest picture for this one: the only information available for AllTheTweaks in this pack is its recipe list. Everything the sources let me confirm is an item or a block you craft at a crafting table, so I can't walk you through machines, power, fluids or item pipes for this mod.[4]

Storage blocks and the ATM Star

The mod's own recipes cover compact storage blocks: ATM Star Block, Nether Star Block and Ender Pearl Block. The Nether Star Block and the Ender Pearl Block are shown below.[4]

The ATM Star Block works the same way, but it takes any item from the ATM Star tag. You can undo it with a shapeless recipe that turns a block from the ATM Star storage-block tag back into an ATM Star.[4]

Pack-added crafting recipes

The rest of the items are crafted with shaped recipes that the pack adds through KubeJS, and their recipe ids sit under the pack's own namespace rather than the mod's. So the pack decides how you get these items. Here are a couple of examples.[4]

How do you progress through AllTheTweaks?

6 parts

In this pack, AllTheTweaks gives you the end-game goal: the ATM Star. Chapter 3 of the quest book is built around it, and the "ATM Star" quest quest says that crafting it means you have beaten the modpack. Chapter 4 then shows you how to remake it.[2][3]

The big picture

The "ATM Star" quest quest comes after the quests for Pulsating Black Hole, Nexium Emitter, Patrick Star, Dimensional Seed, Wither's Compass, Improbable Probability Device, Philosopher's Fuel, Dragon Soul and Oblivion Shard. The same quest also lists Creative Essence and a Runic Star Altar among its prerequisites.[2]

The pack added the crafting recipe for each of these components, so none of them is the mod's default. The final ATM Star recipe is a Star Altar recipe that the pack added too.[4]

The first ATM Star, a Star Altar recipe added by the pack.

Step 1: The three portals and the Dimensional Seed

The Dimensional Seed needs three miniature portals, and each portal has its own quest after the Apothic Mods quest. Their quest text points you at Apotheosis shelves. The Miniature Nether Portal builds on a Hellshelf of Masterful Sight. The Miniature End Portal needs Endshelves, which need Eyes of Ender first. The Miniature Exit Portal is called the most expensive of the three and uses Soul-Touched Sculkshelves and Infused Dragon's Breath.[2][4]

Step 2: The other components

The quests "Wither's Compass" quest, "Dragon Soul" quest, "Oblivion Shard" quest, "Philosopher's Fuel" quest, "Improbable Probability Device" quest, "Nexium Emitter" quest and "Pulsating Black Hole" quest each list a set of items from other mods as prerequisites. Here are the in-pack recipes for each component, in the same order.[2][4]

Step 3: Patrick Star

The Patrick Star has its own quest, "Patrick Star" quest, and the pack gives it several routes. There is a Create mechanical crafting recipe and a Star Altar recipe, both added by the pack. The pack also changed a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that outputs a Patrick Star and wax.[2][4]

After the first Star: remaking it

Chapter 4 is about remaking the Star. The "Starry Bee!" quest quest starts it: right-click a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block to get a Starry Bee. You need another ATM Star Block for them to pollinate. Starry Combs go in a centrifuge, which rarely gives ATM Star Shard.[3]

The pack changed this centrifuge recipe so it outputs an ATM Star Shard and a Nether Star Shard.

Watch out: The "Star Shards" quest quest says you need 262 Star Shards in total to remake 1 Star. Get your bee setup running well before you plan on this.[3]

Next comes the Infused Patrick Star, quest "Infused Patrick Star" quest. The quest text says it needs a Patrick Star, 4 Mending Books, Infused Dragon's Breath, Star Shards and three alloy ingots, all thrown into a Runic Star Altar along with 85MFE.[3]

A pack-added Star Altar recipe with the same inputs the quest text describes.

Finally, "Fully Automated ATM Star" quest ties it together. Its text says the Infused Patrick Star, 5 Star Fragments, Corrupti Dust, Mundabitur Dust and the Lens of the Killer let you rebuild ATM Stars with 100% automation. The pack's Star Altar recipe for this takes the Lens of the Killer, both dusts and five star-part items.[3][4]

How does AllTheTweaks work with other mods?

    4 parts

AllTheTweaks is where this pack's endgame ties together. Its items are crafted from ingredients of many other mods, and the finished ATM Star is then used to make the creative versions of items from other mods. Everything here comes from recipes the pack added or changed, plus the Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 quests.[2][3][4]

    Building the ATM Star

The ATM Star is made with a Modern Industrialization star altar recipe, shown below. Most of its inputs are the AllTheTweaks components covered in this section, including the Patrick Star. The rest come from other mods: Nether Star Block 3x from AllTheCompressed and Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy from Allthemodium. Creative Essence comes from Mystical Agradditions. The quest "ATM Star" quest says that creating the star means you have beaten the modpack.[2][4]

The star altar recipe that combines the AllTheTweaks components into the ATM Star.

    Where each component pulls from

    • Miniature End Portal, Miniature Exit Portal and Miniature Nether Portal are built around Apothic Enchanting shelves and Infused Dragon's Breath. The Dimensional Seed then combines all three with AllTheCompressed blocks. The quests for these portals sit after the Apothic Mods quest in Chapter 3.[2][4]
    • Dragon Soul uses items from Occultism, Cataclysm, Eternal Starlight, Productive Bees, Productive Trees, Allthemodium and Apothic Enchanting.[4]
    • Oblivion Shard uses items from Cataclysm, EvilCraft, Forbidden Arcanus, Steve's Carts and Twilight Forest.[4]
    • Philosopher's Fuel draws on fuel and generator items from Big Reactors, Create, Forbidden Arcanus, Generator Galore, Iron Furnaces, Modern Industrialization, Mystical Agradditions and Mystical Agriculture.[4]
    • Improbable Probability Device combines items from AE2, MegaCells, Mekanism, Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, Iron Furnaces, Modern Industrialization and PneumaticCraft.[4]
    • Nexium Emitter links Advanced AE, AE Infinity Booster, Create, Immersive Engineering, Mekanism, Modern Industrialization and Powah.[4]
    • Pulsating Black Hole gathers items from AE2, EvilCraft, Industrial Foregoing, Just Dire Things, Occultism, Oritech, PneumaticCraft, Pocket Storage and Roots Classic. Wither's Compass uses Ars Nouveau, Deeper Darker, Generator Galore, Industrial Foregoing, Mystical Agradditions and Mystical Agriculture items.[4]

The star plus a Superdense Energy Cell gives the AE2 creative cell.

    Bees, shards and compressed blocks

Productive Bees is how you farm shards. Right-clicking a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block gives you a Starry Bee, and you need another ATM Star Block for them to pollinate. Starry Combs go in a Centrifuge to rarely give Star Shards. The pack's Starry honeycomb centrifuge recipe outputs an ATM Star Shard and a Nether Star Shard. See "Starry Bee!" quest and "Star Shards" quest.[3][4]

Remaking the star takes 262 Star Shards in total. In the star altar, a shard plus a Forbidden Arcanus item gives each numbered shard variant, and the automated star recipe below uses those variants. It also involves Corrupti Dust and Mundabitur Dust, and the quest names the Lens of the Killer (WIP) as part of the setup. See "Fully Automated ATM Star" quest.[3][4]

The Infused Patrick Star needs a Patrick Star, shards, Infused Dragon's Breath, the three alloy ingots from the Allthemodium chapter and 85MFE in a Runic Star Altar. See "Infused Patrick Star" quest.[3][4]

AllTheCompressed has pack-changed compress recipes for ATM Star Block and Nether Star Block, giving ATM Star Block 1x and Nether Star Block 1x. Decompress recipes turn those back, and also turn Ender Pearl Block 1x into Ender Pearl Block.[4]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use AllTheTweaks?

    2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

AllTheTweaks is the mod behind the ATM Star, so its items show up right at the end of the pack. You'll find them in two quest chapters: Chapter 3: The ATM Star, where you build your first star, and Chapter 4: Creative, where you turn the star into something you can mass-produce.[5][6]

    Chapter 3: The ATM Star

This chapter is the pack's endgame. Every big component is its own quest, and each one depends on a long list of late-game items from across the pack. All of them feed into the final "ATM Star" quest quest, where you make the ATM Star.[5]

Start with the three miniature portals. a quest in "Chapter 3: The ATM Star", a quest in "Chapter 3: The ATM Star" and a quest in "Chapter 3: The ATM Star" ask for the Miniature Nether Portal, Miniature End Portal and Miniature Exit Portal. All three unlock after the Apothic Mods quest and lean heavily on Apotheosis enchanting shelves. The quest text calls the Exit Portal the most expensive portal you can make. Don't expect to use them as real portals, though: the quests joke that you're too big to walk through them.[5]

Together with other prerequisites, the three portals unlock "Dimensional Seed" quest, which asks for the Dimensional Seed.[5]

The rest of the star components each have their own quest, and you can work on them in any order:[5]

Once all of those are done, plus a few extras like the Runic Star Altar and The Star's Casing, you can finish "ATM Star" quest. The quest confirms it: crafting the ATM Star means you've beaten the modpack.[5]

    Chapter 4: Creative

After your first star, the Creative chapter shows you how to make more with bees. In "Starry Bee!" quest, you right-click a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block to get a Starry Bee. You'll need another ATM Star Block for the bees to pollinate. Starry Bees make Starry Combs, and running those through a Centrifuge rarely gives you Star Shards.[6]

Next, "Star Shards" quest asks for an ATM Star Shard. The quest warns that you need 262 Star Shards in total to remake one star, so build a solid bee setup before you start.[6]

Tip: Star Shards only drop rarely from Starry Combs, and you need 262 of them per star. Scale up your Starry Bee setup early instead of waiting on a single hive.[6]

Then comes "Infused Patrick Star" quest. This quest asks for a Patrick Star, but the text explains that the goal is an Infused Patrick Star. Both are made in the Runic Star Altar, and the Infused version needs a regular Patrick Star plus Star Shards from your bees.[6]

Finally, "Fully Automated ATM Star" quest brings everything together. You combine the Infused Patrick Star with the star parts you build from your shards to make new ATM Stars, 100% automated. From here, the creative items become much easier to craft.[6]

What changed in AllTheTweaks between versions?

    1 part

AllTheTweaks has been part of All the Mods 10 for a long time. It was first included in pack version 2.2 or earlier, and All the Mods 10 6.0 ships AllTheTweaks 2.8.4.[1]

The most recent update came with pack version 6.0, which moved AllTheTweaks from 2.8.2 to 2.8.4.[7]

    Update timeline

The pack changelogs track AllTheTweaks all the way from 2.5.0, updated in pack version 2.26, up to 2.8.4 in pack version 6.0. Here's each recorded update, newest first.[7][8]

    • All the Mods 10 6.0: updated from 2.8.2 to 2.8.4.[7]
    • All the Mods 10 5.5: updated from 2.7.0 to 2.8.2.[9]

    • All the Mods 10 2.26: updated from 2.5.0 to 2.5.2.[8]
Tip: Heads up, the version numbers don't line up perfectly. The 5.3 changelog lists an update from 2.7.0 to 2.7.7, but the 5.5 changelog gives its starting version as 2.7.0 again. If you're on a pack version between 5.3 and 5.5, check your mod list to see which AllTheTweaks jar you actually have.[9][10]

Unverified The pack changelogs only record version numbers. They don't say what changed inside AllTheTweaks, such as new features, recipe changes or bug fixes, and no mod changelogs were available for these jars. What each individual update changed is unverified.
