What is AllTheTweaks?

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

AllTheTweaks is part of the pack's mod list, and the pack ships version 1.9.9.9i-1.18.2-40.1.73 of it (the file is allthetweaks-1.9.9.9i-1.18.2-40.1.73.jar). It has been in the pack since this version or earlier.[1]

Unverified I couldn't confirm from the available sources what AllTheTweaks adds or changes, who it is meant for, or where it fits in the pack's progression. I also couldn't confirm any ATM Star path or quest involvement, so I'm not guessing. Check back once more details are documented.

How do you get started with AllTheTweaks?

4 parts

Heads up before you start: this mod isn't an early-game mod at all. Everything it adds points at one goal, the ATM Star, and in this pack the star is assembled in a Pressure Chamber from a set of components that each pull a signature item out of a different major mod. So "getting started" here really means picking off the components one at a time while you play the rest of the pack.[2]

Here's the finished assembly so you know what you're building toward. Every component below is one of its inputs, and the pack added this recipe itself.[2]

Start with the Patrick Star

The Patrick Star is the one component you can realistically knock out early. The pack adds a Pressure Chamber recipe for it that only needs cheap vanilla concrete blocks, so once you have any working Pressure Chamber you can bank one and forget about it.[2]

Tip: If you already keep bees, a Patrick Star also drops from centrifuging the Patrick honeycomb alongside Wax, which is a nice passive trickle once that setup is running.[2]

Then the three miniature portals

Do the portals next, because all three feed the Dimensional Seed and they lean on enchanting shelves plus vanilla boss drops rather than a full tech chain. Make them in this order and the seed falls out at the end.[2]

The remaining components

The rest are independent of each other, so chase whichever mod you're deepest into first. Each of these recipes was added by the pack, and each one wants a late-game item from a different tech or magic chain, so expect to finish a mod's progression before you can build the matching component.[2]

After your first star

Once you've got a star, crushing it gives you an ATM Star Shard. Centrifuging the starry honeycomb also yields a shard plus a Nether Star Shard, so a bee setup is the cheaper way to get shards in bulk.[2]

Crushing (mekanism)

Recipe id: mekanism:atmstarshard/atm_star_shard

The mod also adds plain storage blocks for the things you'll be hoarding: ATM Star Block, Nether Star Block, Ender Pearl Block and GregStar Block. Each one packs and unpacks in a crafting grid, and the compressed-block chain can decompress its 1x tier back down into them.[2]

How does AllTheTweaks work?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.66 guide

Everything this pack exposes for the mod is crafting-table work rather than machinery: a small family of one-off, end-game items, plus block forms of the pack's trophy materials. Almost all of the item recipes are defined by the pack itself rather than shipped by the mod, so treat what you see in JEI here as the authoritative version and ignore anything you remember from other packs.[3]

Unverified What these items actually do once you hold or place them (any power, fluid or item handling, automation hooks or in-world effects) is not covered by the sources available for this guide, so this section only describes how they are obtained.

Trophy blocks come from decompression

The mod's storage blocks are not crafted from loose items in this pack. Instead they are produced by decompressing the matching 1x compressed block, which means the compression mod's ladder is the pipeline that feeds them. If you already automate compression, you already automate these: push the 1x block into any crafting automation and the single-item shapeless recipe hands back the mod's block form.[3]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: allthecompressed:decompress/atm_star_block_1x

The other three trophy blocks follow the same one-in, one-out pattern.

The miniature portals

Three miniature portals form the mod's only real multi-step chain in this pack: Miniature Nether Portal, Miniature End Portal and Miniature Exit Portal. Each is its own shaped recipe added by the pack, and each leans on the enchanting-apparatus mod's bookshelf variants, so build those out before you start collecting the rarer pieces.[3]

The three of them then feed forward into Dimensional Seed, alongside a stack of compressed vanilla materials. That compressed side is the part worth planning: it is all bulk dirt, netherrack, obsidian, end stone, diamond and emerald run up the compression ladder, which is exactly the kind of job you want a void miner or a mystical agriculture farm feeding automatically.[3]

Tip: Because the compressed ingredients are ordinary blocks taken several tiers up, you can queue the whole seed as a single crafting job in an ME system once the compression steps are patterned, no manual stacking required.[3]

The cross-mod capstone items

The rest of the mod's items are single shaped recipes that each pull together high-tier results from a wide spread of other mods in the pack. There is no tech tree inside the mod itself; the gating is entirely external, so progress on these is really progress on everyone else's end-game.[3]

Watch out: Several of these recipes consume items that are themselves major milestones: quantum rings, singularities, top-tier generators and paradox machines. Check the full recipe in JEI and confirm you can rebuild each ingredient before you commit it, because the craft is one-way.[3]

The shortest of the capstone recipes, and a good first target.

Automation advice is the same for all of them: none of these are bulk items, so pattern them in your crafting system only once the sub-ingredients are themselves automatable. Until then, they are hand-crafts you do once each.[3]

How do you progress through AllTheTweaks?

5 parts

Everything this mod adds funnels into one goal: the ATM Star. In this pack the Star is not a crafting table item at all: it comes out of a Pressure Chamber, and that recipe is added by the pack rather than shipped with the mod. So your progression is really about assembling the nine star components first, each of which is itself a pack-added recipe that pulls finished gear from across the pack's tech and magic mods.[2]

Tier 1: the miniature portals

The earliest rung is the trio of miniature portals. They are cheap relative to everything else here, and they exist only to be folded into the next tier, so make them as soon as you can spare the parts.[2]

All three go straight into the Dimensional Seed, alongside a stack of compressed vanilla blocks. That makes the Dimensional Seed the one star component with a sub-tier under it, every other component is a single craft.[2]

Tier 2: the nine star components

These are the pieces the final Pressure Chamber recipe consumes. Treat each one as its own mini-project, because each is gated behind a different mod's endgame item.[2]

The Patrick Star is the one component you can get without endgame machinery. The pack adds a Pressure Chamber recipe that turns coloured concrete into one, and the mod also lets you centrifuge a Patrick honeycomb for a Patrick Star plus Wax. If you already have a bee setup running, that second route is basically free.[2]

    Tier 3: the ATM Star

With all nine components in hand, the final craft is a Pressure Chamber recipe that also wants compressed nether stars, an alloy block and Creative Essence on top. Build your Pressure Chamber well before you finish the components so the last step isn't a surprise.[2]

Tip: Once you have Stars, the mod's own storage recipes let you pack them into an ATM Star Block and take them back out again, and the pack's compression chain can step a 1x compressed Star Block back down to the normal block.[2]

    Side branches

The ATM Star Shard sits off to the side. You can crush a finished ATM Star into shards, or centrifuge a starry honeycomb to get shards alongside Nether Star Shards, so shards are reachable through bees long before you ever complete a Star.[2]

The mod also adds plain storage blocks for Ender Pearl Block and Nether Star Block, both of which have decompression recipes from their 1x compressed versions. They are quality-of-life rather than progression, but the compressed nether stars you need for the Star recipe start here.[2]

      Past the Star: GregStar

GregStar is the tier above the ATM Star, and the only recipes the pack exposes for it are the packing and unpacking of the GregStar Block, plus a decompression step from the 1x compressed block.[2]

How does AllTheTweaks work with other mods?

      5 parts

AllTheTweaks is the glue for this pack's endgame. Its items show up in recipes from many other mods, and the pack's own recipes lean on it heavily. Everything below comes from the in-pack recipe data, so it reflects this pack and not the mod's defaults.[2]

The ATM Star unlocks creative items

The ATM Star is the key ingredient for crafting creative versions of other mods' items. Each of these recipes is added by the pack.[2]

      Energizing (powah)

      Recipe id: allthemods:energizing/ae2_creative_energy_cell

One of four energizing recipes that use the star.

How the ATM Star itself is made

The star comes from a pressure chamber recipe added by the pack. It combines the other crafted AllTheTweaks items with a Nether Star Block 3x, an Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy and Creative Essence.[2]

The ingredient items pull from other mods too

Each AllTheTweaks item that goes into the star has its own shaped recipe added by the pack, and each one uses items from several other mods. These are the Dimensional Seed, Dragon Soul, Improbable Probability Device, Nexium Emitter, Oblivion Shard, Philosopher's Fuel, Pulsating Black Hole and Wither's Compass. The Dimensional Seed also needs three smaller portal items, Miniature End Portal, Miniature Exit Portal and Miniature Nether Portal, and those have their own recipes.[2]

      AllTheCompressed

Four AllTheTweaks blocks can be compressed into 1x versions and turned back with shapeless recipes: ATM Star Block, Ender Pearl Block, GregStar Block and Nether Star Block. The Dimensional Seed also uses several compressed blocks, such as Obsidian 5x and Dirt 6x.[2]

      9 × ATM Star Block

      Recipe id: allthecompressed:compress/atm_star_block_1x

      Productive Bees

The ATM Star Block is the input of a bee conversion recipe that produces the starry bee. Two centrifuge recipes also output AllTheTweaks items: one gives Patrick Star and Wax, and the other gives ATM Star Shard and Nether Star Shard. The recipe dump lists no item inputs for these two, so what you feed the centrifuge is unverified here.[2]

      Centrifuge (productivebees)

Unverified The pack's quests were not checked for AllTheTweaks items, so any quest links for this mod are unconfirmed.
