What is PneumaticCraft: Repressurized?

2 parts

PneumaticCraft: Repressurized is an industrial-themed tech mod about doing cool stuff with compressed air. Its power system is unusual: compressors squeeze air to build up pressure, and Pressure Tubes carry that air to the machines that need it. If you want a tech mod that handles power and automation differently from the usual, this one is worth a look.[1][2][3]

All the Mods 10 8.1 ships PneumaticCraft: Repressurized version 8.2.23.[4]

What you can do with it

  • Move items and fluids and keep inventories and tanks stocked with the Logistics System, which is heavily inspired by Factorio.[5][6]
  • Program Drones with a widget-based programming system.[7]
  • Produce renewable resources, in particular Biodiesel.[8]
  • Build Pneumatic Armor, a highly upgradable suit that you pressurize and upgrade in a Charging Station.[9][10]

Where it fits in this pack

The pack has its own PneumaticCraft quest chapter. It starts with "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest, which asks for Compressed Iron Ingot. The easiest way to get it is to throw iron ingots or blocks into a hole in the ground and blow them up with TNT. Some of the iron gets lost in the explosion.[11]

From there the quests have you craft 32 Reinforced Stone, make Pressure Tube to move pressure, and build an Air Compressor that runs on burnable items. The quest recommends making at least 3 compressors to start.[11]

Watch out: Everything in this mod can blow up. Put a Security Upgrade into every machine that accepts one to stop it from exploding.[11]

PneumaticCraft is also part of the ATM Star path. The Chapter 3: The ATM Star quests include "PneumaticCraft" quest, which again needs a Compressed Iron Ingot. After it come "Micromissiles" quest and "Aerial Interface" quest. The Aerial Interface needs a whole assembly line to craft, so give yourself time to work through the mod.[12]

Tip: Keep JEI, the item tooltips and the in-game manual handy. The manual unlocks more sections as you earn the mod's advancements, and its Advancements page is a good guide to what you should build next.[11][13]

How do you get started with PneumaticCraft: Repressurized?

6 parts

PneumaticCraft: Repressurized is all about pressure. Compressed air powers your machines, so your first goal is a small working air setup and a Pressure Chamber. The good news is that the mod adds no extra ores, so all you need to start is iron and stone.[11][13][14]

Step 1: Blow up some iron

Nearly everything in the mod needs Compressed Iron Ingot, and the first quest, "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest, asks you to make some. Dig a hole in the ground, throw in some iron ingots (blocks work too) and set off TNT next to them. Any other explosion works as well. Yes, really. Step back first![11][14]

Watch out: You lose around 20% of your ingots in the explosion. Later you can make Compressed Iron in a Pressure Chamber with no loss, but you need Compressed Iron to build the chamber, so some loss at the start is unavoidable.[14]

The in-game guide suggests starting with about a stack each of iron and stone, and a bit less iron than stone.[13]

Step 2: Reinforced Stone and Pressure Tubes

Next, make Reinforced Stone. The pack's "Reinforced Stone" quest quest calls it one of the most important materials you'll need and asks you to make 32 to start. At the same time, craft some Pressure Tube for the "Moving Pressure" quest quest. Tubes are how you move compressed air around.[3][11][13]

Step 3: Start generating pressure

The Air Compressor is your first power generator. Put any solid fuel that burns in a Furnace into it. Fuel buckets don't work; liquid fuels go in a Liquid Compressor. The "Generating Pressure" quest quest recommends building at least 3 of them to start.[2][11][15]

Watch out: PneumaticCraft machines can explode! The "Preventing Explosions?" quest quest points you to the Security Upgrade. Put one in every machine that accepts it so it can't blow up.[11]

Step 4: Build the Pressure Chamber

The Pressure Chamber is a multiblock built from Pressure Chamber Wall. It can be anything from 3x3x3 to 5x5x5. For "The Pressure Chamber" quest you need the blocks for the full 5x5x5 version. Pipe pressure into a Pressure Chamber Valve with your Pressure Tubes, and put a Security Upgrade in the valve.[11][13]

To move items in and out, place one Pressure Chamber Interface set to import (blue on the outside) and one set to export (gold on the outside), on any face. Different recipes need different amounts of pressure.[11]

Step 5: A Charging Station

Once you have Reinforced Stone and Pressure Tubes, build a Charging Station. It charges your pneumatic items and manages the upgrades in them. It also unlocks handy quests for the Pneumatic Wrench, which moves or breaks your machines and tubes, and the Manometer, which shows extra information about a machine.[11][15]

Optional: Compressed Iron Armor

If you have spare ingots, the "Compressed Iron Armor" quest quest covers a full set of Compressed Iron Armor. It's like Iron Armor, with slightly more toughness and durability plus some knockback resistance, and you can repair it in an Anvil with Compressed Iron Ingots. It also turns up often in loot chests, so you may not need to craft it.[11][16]

The helmet, leggings and boots have their own recipes too.

Tip: Check JEI, read the tooltips and read the in-game PneumaticCraft manual. New sections of the manual unlock as you earn the mod's advancements, and those advancements are good hints for what to build next.[11][13]

How does PneumaticCraft: Repressurized work?

9 parts

PneumaticCraft runs on compressed air instead of a normal energy system. Compressors make the air, Pressure Tubes carry it, and machines and tools spend it. On top of that you get a heat system, an assembly line for advanced components, and drones and logistics for automation. Here's how all of it fits together.[2][3][6][7][15][17][18]

Pressure, air and volume

Every pressurizable machine and tool has a volume, measured in mL. That's how much air it holds at standard atmospheric pressure, which the mod calls 0 bar. Pressure is worked out as P = (A / V) - 1, where A is the air stored and V is the volume. So a machine with a volume of 5,000 mL holding 20,000 mL of air sits at 3 bar.[17]

The bar values you see are gauge pressure, meaning pressure above normal atmosphere. 0 bar is unpressurized air and -1 bar is a vacuum.[19]

This is the key idea to get your head around. Many machines need a minimum pressure before they'll run, but what their operations actually consume is air, not pressure. Pressure is just the result of stored air and volume. Most machines accept Volume Upgrades, which raise the volume so each use of air causes a smaller pressure drop.[17]

Air flows from higher-pressure blocks to lower-pressure blocks and always tries to balance out. If you connect a small machine to something with a big air capacity, like a Pressure Chamber, pressure will build up in the small machine.[17]

Watch out: If you leave a tube or machine unconnected, you get a giant air leak. You'll hear it hissing and see particles streaming out. Push too much pressure into a machine and it explodes. The danger zone is the red area on the pressure gauge in the GUI, but the exact point where a machine blows isn't predictable, so don't flirt with it.[17]

Pressure tiers

  • Tier one machines can nominally resist 5 bar.[19]
  • Tier 1.5 machines can resist up to 10 bar. This optional tier was added in the MC 1.18 release. It mainly unlocks charging tools to 10 bar and getting a Diamond Drill Bit, which allows 3x3 block breaking.[19]
  • Tier two machines can resist up to 20 bar.[19]
  • The Advanced Pressure Tube is the strongest tube, with a max safe pressure of 20 bar. It can be camouflaged and can take Tube Modules for extra functionality.[15]

Making air: compressors

Compressors are the power generators of the mod. You have several options, depending on what fuel or energy you have available.[2][17]

  • The Air Compressor burns any solid fuel that works in a Furnace. Fuel buckets won't work in it, so use a Liquid Compressor for liquid fuels.[15]
  • The Advanced Air Compressor is the tier two version. It burns the same fuels but generates 50mL/tick and produces heat. The hotter it gets, the lower its efficiency. On the temperature gauge, the bottom arrow shows where efficiency starts to drop and the top arrow marks zero efficiency. It won't explode from high temperature.[15]
  • The Advanced Liquid Compressor also generates 50mL/tick and also loses efficiency as it heats up. Crude Oil can be refined into high-quality fuels for Liquid Compressors.[15][20]
  • The Flux Compressor turns Forge Energy into air at a base efficiency of 40%, so 100 FE makes 40 mL. Speed Upgrades reduce its efficiency slightly, and it generates heat you need to get rid of.[15]
  • The Electrostatic Compressor produces 200,000 mL of air instantly when it's hit by lightning. You raise the odds of a strike with a grid of Iron Bars or Lightning Rods connected to it.[15]

Tip: For the Electrostatic Compressor, the grid counts out to 5 blocks horizontally and 5 blocks vertically, up to a maximum of 250 blocks per grid. You can add a column of up to 10 Iron Bars or Lightning Rods directly above it. Put a column of grid blocks below it to ground excess energy and avoid explosions; the Electrostatic Info GUI tab tells you how many you need. Strikes are rare in clear weather, better in rain and much better in a thunderstorm.[15]

Heat

Heat spreads from hotter blocks to colder ones, and only into adjacent blocks that support heat. The bigger the temperature difference, the faster it moves.[18]

Two properties control this. Thermal resistance decides how fast heat passes between objects: Torches and Air have high resistance, while Blocks of Compressed Iron have very low resistance. Thermal capacity decides how fast temperature changes: a high-capacity block takes more heat to warm up, but it also cools down more slowly.[18]

Machines lose heat to any face that touches air, and the Refinery is especially bad for this. To insulate a machine, cover every exposed face with any non-conducting block. Trapdoors and slabs work fine.[18]

Static heat sources are blocks and fluids that add or remove heat from adjacent machines. Examples include Ice, Snow, Magma and Lava. They can transform when drained: Lava cools to Obsidian, and Water may freeze or evaporate. The game tracks extracted heat separately from the block, so breaking and replacing a block won't reset it.[21]

  • Vortex Tube: turns pressure directly into heat and cold. Put a Heat Sink on the unused side for efficiency.[21]
  • Heat Sink: disperses heat or cold from the block it's attached to into the atmosphere.[21]
  • Heat Pipe: an insulated compressed iron core that moves heat between blocks without leaking into nearby air or fluids. It's a cheaper, more compact alternative to Compressed Iron Blocks, and you can attach Heat Sinks to it.[21]
  • Block of Compressed Iron: an excellent heat conductor that gives you extra faces for Heat Sinks on heat-producing machines.[14][15]
  • Heat Frame: a gadget that heats or freezes items in any inventory. It won't pull heat directly from a static heat source, but a Heat Pipe beside it can carry the heat over.[21]
Tip: Put a vanilla Furnace next to a dynamic heat source, such as a Vortex Tube or an Advanced Air Compressor, and the Furnace will run on that heat with no solid fuel. It starts working at 100°C and gets faster at higher temperatures. It also works for the Blast Furnace and Smoker.[21]

Compressed Iron and the Pressure Chamber

The mod adds no ores. You start by throwing Iron Ingots on the ground and blowing them up to get Compressed Iron Ingot. You'll lose around 20% in the blast. A Pressure Chamber can make Compressed Iron without that loss, but you need Compressed Iron to build the chamber, so a little early loss is unavoidable. Building the Pressure Chamber is one of the first goals in the mod's Getting Started steps.[13][14]

This pack also gives you extra routes. You can make Compressed Iron Ingots from Mystical Agriculture's compressed iron essence, and you can decompress the All the Compressed block back into a regular Block of Compressed Iron.[22]

GUIs, upgrades and charging

Most machine GUIs have side tabs. The redstone tab sets how the machine reacts to or emits redstone. The info tab explains what the machine does. The upgrades tab lists what it accepts. The pressure status tab shows current pressure and volume. If something isn't working, the problems tab points you at the cause. Some machines also have their own tabs, like the Assembly Controller's status tab.[24]

Upgrades go into machines and some tools. Their exact effect depends on the device and is documented in its GUI. To put upgrades into tools, you need a Charging Station, which also charges and discharges pneumatic items like Drones and Pneumatic Wrenches.[15][25]

The Air Canister is the crafting component for every pressurizable item. It has a volume of 3000mL, can be charged to 10 bar without exploding, and any pneumatic item crafted with it keeps the canister's air.[26]

Tip: Speed Upgrades need Lubricant, which comes from Crude Oil. If you use a Liquid Hopper or another modded tank full of Lubricant, you can craft several Speed Upgrades at once.[20][25]

Moving items, fluids and entities

  • The Logistics System moves items and fluids around and keeps your inventories and tanks stocked.[6]
  • The Aerial Interface uses the inventory of the player who placed it as its own, so you can hopper items in and out of that player. It's also one of the two ways to get Memory Essence.[15][27]
  • The Air Cannon fires items through the air. Right-click the target block with a GPS Tool, then put the GPS Tool in the cannon's GPS slot.[15]
  • The Gas Lift pumps up liquids using pressure. It places Drill Pipes downward until it hits a liquid, digging through solid blocks at a pressure cost that scales with block hardness. The minimum pressure it needs rises with depth.[15][28]
  • For hauling oil early on, a Small Tank is a simple option because it keeps its contents when broken. The Gas Lift keeps its fluid contents too.[20]
  • The Elevator moves any entity and runs on air plus Elevator Frames stacked on the base. Redstone strength 0 means 0% extension and 15 means 100%. Going back down costs no air.[15][29]

In this pack, advanced.dont_update_infinite_water_sources is set to true. That means drones, liquid hoppers and the Gas Lift won't remove a water source block if it has at least two water source neighbours, which makes water importing faster and less laggy.[30]

Drones and chunk loading

Drones are programmed with widgets that check conditions, control program flow, interact with the world, and more. Many machines and tools also use Entity Filters to choose their targets. For example, @mob matches aggressive creatures and @player matches players.[7][31][32][33][34][35]

Tip: If you want things running while you're away, chunkload the whole build. Keep it inside chunk boundaries so it's either all loaded or all unloaded. Put Security Upgrades in your machines to prevent explosions caused by chunkloading or lag hiccups. The Programmable Controller offers some limited chunkloading of its own.[23]

How do you progress through PneumaticCraft: Repressurized?

8 parts

PneumaticCraft runs on pressure, and its machines come in pressure tiers. Tier one machines handle 5 bar, tier one-point-five handles up to 10 bar, and tier two handles up to 20 bar. The pack's quest chapter walks you through those tiers in order: explosions, then the Pressure Chamber, then oil and plastic, then PCBs, and finally Assembly Lines.[11][19]

Step one: Compressed Iron

The first quest, "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest, asks for Compressed Iron Ingot. The mod adds no new ores, so you make it from plain iron. Throw iron ingots (or blocks) into a hole and blow them up with TNT, and you get compressed iron back.[11][14]

Explosion Crafting (pneumaticcraft)

  • any iron ingot

Recipe id: pneumaticcraft:explosion_crafting/compressed_iron_ingot

Explosion crafting: drop the iron on the ground and set off an explosion nearby.

Watch out: The explosion destroys around 20% of your ingots. Once you have a Pressure Chamber you can make Compressed Iron in it without that loss, but you need some Compressed Iron to build the chamber first, so a little early waste can't be avoided.[14]

Next, "Reinforced Stone" quest asks you to make 32 Reinforced Stone from Compressed Iron and regular stone. You'll use a lot of it. You can also pick up Compressed Iron Helmet and the rest of the Compressed Iron Armor set here. It's slightly better than iron, with extra toughness and knockback resistance.[11][16]

Tier one: your first pressure

  1. Make Pressure Tube to move pressure around ("Moving Pressure" quest).[11]
  2. Build an Air Compressor and feed it burnable items ("Generating Pressure" quest). The quest recommends making at least 3 to start.[11]
  3. Put a Security Upgrade in every machine that accepts one, because PneumaticCraft machines can explode ("Preventing Explosions?" quest).[11]
  4. Craft a Charging Station to pressurize your tools and gadgets.[11]

Recipe id: pneumaticcraft:air_compressor

Once you have your first compressor, the quests also branch into other ways to make pressure. The Liquid Compressor burns certain liquids, and the Thermal Compressor turns a hot-and-cold temperature difference into pressure.[11]

The Pressure Chamber

"The Pressure Chamber" quest is the big early milestone. The chamber is a multiblock that can be anywhere from 3x3x3 to 5x5x5, and the quest asks for enough blocks to build the 5x5x5 version. Pipe pressure into a Pressure Chamber Valve and put a Security Upgrade in it. Then add one importing and one exporting Pressure Chamber Interface: blue on the outside imports, gold on the outside exports. Each recipe needs a different amount of pressure.[11]

Oil, heat and plastic

After the chamber comes "Crude Oil" quest. You can find crude oil on the Overworld surface, or you can find it underground with a Seismic Sensor and pump it up with a Gas Lift loaded with Drill Pipe. For heat, a Vortex Tube splits pressure into hot and cold air. Adding a Heat Sink on the cold side increases the heat you get, and Heat Pipe carries it where you need it.[11]

The refinery is a 1x1x5 tower: 1 Refinery Controller at the bottom with four Refinery Output blocks on top. Feed it oil and heat, and it produces Diesel, Kerosene, Gasoline and LPG. Pump LPG, coal and heat into a Thermopneumatic Processing Plant to make Molten Plastic. Then either pour the plastic on the ground or cool it in a chest fitted with a Heat Frame to get Molten Plastic.[11]

Tier one-point-five

Plastic unlocks Reinforced Pressure Tube, which holds 10 bar. This middle tier is optional. It mainly lets you charge tools to 10 bar and get the Diamond Drill Bit, which breaks blocks in a 3x3 area. In the quests, the diamond bit comes after Lubricant, and Lubricant is made from Diesel.[11][19]

Tip: The pack changed the recipe for the Pneumatic Jackhammer, and in the quests it unlocks after Plastic. Check the recipe below instead of relying on older guides.[11][22]

PCBs

  1. Make an Empty PCB in the Pressure Chamber.[11]
  2. Order a PCB Blueprint through the Amadron Tablet. The quest lists it at 8 Emeralds.[11]
  3. Charge the Empty PCBs in a UV Light Box. It needs pressure and access to sunlight.[11]
  4. Put the charged boards in an Etching Tank with Etching Acid and heat to get an Unassembled PCB.[11]
  5. Craft the Finished PCB. The "Transistors" quest and "Capacitors" quest quests cover the parts you need for it.[11]

Tier two: Assembly Lines

Finished PCBs open up Assembly Lines. The Assembly Controller is the core block and receives the pressure, and the pack changed the recipe for the Assembly Platform. With an Assembly Drill and an Assembly Laser you can turn a Block of Compressed Iron into a Pressure Chamber Valve, and that valve into an Advanced Pressure Tube. The laser can also turn Empty PCBs straight into Unassembled PCBs.[11][22]

With Advanced Pressure Tubes you can upgrade your compressors. The Advanced Air Compressor is tier two: it's safe up to 20 bar and makes a base 50mL of air per tick. It must be kept cool, though, because it loses efficiency as it heats up.[22][36]

The ATM Star connection

PneumaticCraft also feeds the pack's ATM Star chapter, which asks for Micromissiles and an Aerial Interface. You need a full Assembly Line setup to craft the Aerial Interface, so work through the tiers above before you tackle it.[11][12]

How does PneumaticCraft: Repressurized work with other mods?

4 parts

PneumaticCraft doesn't sit in its own corner in All the Mods 10. The pack uses its items in endgame crafting, feeds its Crude Oil and Plastic into other mods' machines, and ties its Compressed Iron into several storage and resource mods. Here are the connections found in the pack's recipes.[22]

Endgame crafting

Two pack-added recipes for All the Tweaks endgame items need PneumaticCraft parts. The Improbable Probability Device needs an Aerial Interface, alongside items from mods like AE2, Mekanism and Modern Industrialization. The Pulsating Black Hole needs Micromissiles, next to parts such as Oritech's Manhattan Module and Occultism's Stable Wormhole. Plan to build these PneumaticCraft pieces if you're heading for the end of the pack.[22]

The pack also adds Pressure Chamber recipes for PneumaticCraft's creative items, the Creative Compressor and the Creative Compressed Iron Block. Both are gated behind an ATM Star, so treat them as endgame builds rather than something you'll make on the way. The recipes below show exactly what each one takes.[22]

The connection goes beyond crafting. With ComputerCraft installed, almost every PneumaticCraft machine, and Drones, can be used as a peripheral. Wrap it in Lua and you can read its pressure, danger pressure and critical pressure. Some machines also offer extra controls, like setting an Elevator's target height or firing an Air Cannon.[29]

Tip: The in-game guide's Computer Integration page lists every function for each machine. It's worth reading before you start scripting.[29]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use PneumaticCraft: Repressurized?

4 parts

PneumaticCraft gets its own PneumaticCraft chapter in the quest book. The quests don't cover every feature, but they walk you through a lot of the mod. They also remind you to check JEI, item tooltips and the in-game manual along the way. You start with "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest, which asks for a Compressed Iron Ingot. The quest's tip is to throw iron ingots or blocks into a hole and blow them up with TNT. Expect to lose a few in the blast![11]

Early game: pressure and the Pressure Chamber

  1. "Reinforced Stone" quest asks you to make 32 Reinforced Stone to start. You'll need a lot of it.[11]
  2. "Moving Pressure" quest asks for a Pressure Tube so you can move pressure around.[11]
  3. "Generating Pressure" quest asks for an Air Compressor, which burns fuel to make pressure. The quest recommends building at least 3 to start.[11]
  4. "Preventing Explosions?" quest introduces the Security Upgrade, which stops machines from exploding.[11]
  5. "The Pressure Chamber" quest asks for enough walls, valves and interfaces to build a 5x5x5 chamber. The structure itself can be as small as 3x3x3.[11]
Watch out: The quests point out that everything in this mod can blow up. Put a Security Upgrade into every machine that accepts one, including your Pressure Chamber Valve.[11]

Around this main line you'll find plenty of optional quests. They cover "Compressed Iron Armor" quest, the fluid tank series, hoppers, the Charging Station and its tools, "Logistics" quest, the Minigun and Sentry Turret. They also cover the other ways to generate pressure, "Pressure from Liquids" quest and "Pressure from Heat" quest.[11]

Oil, heat and plastic

  1. "Crude Oil" quest asks for a bucket of crude oil. You can find oil on the Overworld surface, and an optional drilling quest covers the Seismic Sensor and Gas Lift.[11]
  2. "Heat Production" quest asks for a Vortex Tube. From there, "Better Heat Production" quest adds a Heat Sink and "Moving Heat" quest adds Heat Pipes.[11]
  3. "Oil Refinery" quest asks you to build a 1x1x5 refinery and feed it oil and heat.[11]
  4. Once the refinery is running, you unlock "Diesel" quest, "Kerosene" quest, "Gasoline" quest and "LPG" quest.[11]
  5. "Thermopneumatic Processing" quest asks for the processing plant, which turns LPG, coal and heat into Molten Plastic. That leads straight into "Plastic" quest.[11]

The plant also opens up side branches: "Lubricant" quest and drill bits, "Vegetable Oil" quest, "Yeast" quest, "Ethanol" quest and "Biodeisel" quest.[11]

The road to Finished PCBs

  1. Make Empty PCB in the Pressure Chamber, and grab an Amadron Tablet for "Amadron" quest.[11]
  2. "PCB Blueprint" quest has you order the blueprint from Amadron. The quest lists it at 8 Emeralds.[11]
  3. "Charging with UVs" quest asks for a UV Light Box. After that come the Etching Tank and Etching Acid, which give you an Unassembled PCB.[11]
  4. Finish "Transistors" quest and "Capacitors" quest, then craft the Finished PCB.[11]

Finished PCB

After the Finished PCB

The Finished PCB unlocks the Assembly Line parts, "Pneumatic Armor" quest with its armor upgrade quests, and "Programming Drones" quest. For the armor upgrades, each quest's subtitle shows the maximum number of that upgrade you can install. The chapter says Micromissiles are needed to craft the ATM Star, so don't skip their quest.[11]

Which PneumaticCraft: Repressurized config options matter?

5 parts

PneumaticCraft: Repressurized is an industrial tech mod built around compressed air, and it ships with a big common config. Here are the settings you're most likely to care about in All the Mods 10 8.1, with the exact values the pack uses.[1][30]

Unverified The available sources show this pack's values but not the mod's full list of defaults, so this section can't confirm which settings All the Mods 10 changed. It only notes a match with the default where the config's own description states the default.

Drones and chunkloading

Tip: If a drone bug is lagging or crashing a server, setting drones.stop_drone_ai to true stops all drones from running their programs. It's false in this pack.[30]

Air, machines and upgrades

  • Each Speed Upgrade multiplies speed by 1.5 (machines.speed_upgrade_speed_multiplier). It also multiplies fuel usage and heat generation by 1.649999976158142 (machines.speed_upgrade_usage_multiplier). Both stack as a power of how many upgrades you install, so upgrades cost more than they give.[30]
  • The Flux Compressor makes 40 air per 100 FE, and the Pneumatic Dynamo makes 40 FE per 100mL of air (both efficiency settings are 40).[30]
  • The Manual Compressor gives 1000 air per pump cycle and drains 0.1 hunger per cycle step. Fake players can't use it.[30]
  • Logistics Modules need at least 3 bar to work (logistics.min_pressure), and the Pressurized Spawner needs 10 bar.[30]
  • Each stacked Elevator Base block adds up to 256 blocks of elevator height.[30]
  • advanced.dont_update_infinite_water_sources is true. Drones, liquid hoppers and gas lifts won't remove a water source that has at least two source neighbours, which makes water import faster and cheaper.[30]

Amadron and the Pressure Mechanic

  • Amadron reshuffles its periodic offers every 24,000 ticks, which is one Minecraft day. It shows up to 10 periodic offers and up to 20 villager offers.[30]
  • Non-admin players can each add up to 50 custom Amadron trades.[30]
  • villagers.mechanic_trades is set to ALL, so the Pressure Mechanic offers every trade, including the PCB Blueprint you need for normal progression.[30]
  • Mechanic house generation frequency is 8, which the config describes as the default.[30]

Recipes and worldgen

Combat and gear

  • Micromissiles don't damage terrain or start fires, and Minigun Explosive Ammo doesn't damage terrain either.[30]
  • Minigun base damage is 6 and base range is 50, before ammo bonuses and Range Upgrades.[30]
  • Bandages restore 6 health (1 health is half a heart), with a 160-tick cooldown between uses.[30]
  • The Jackhammer's Vein Miner Plus mode reaches up to 10 blocks from the mined block.[30]
  • Security Stations can be hacked, and players in Creative mode are not exempt from their protection. Only server ops are.[30]

SettingAll the Mods 10 value
advanced.disable_kerosene_lamp_fake_air_block
When set to true, the Kerosene Lamp's fake air blocks won't be registered and therefore removed from the world. Useful if this causes trouble (it shouldn't though)
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
false
advanced.dont_update_infinite_water_sources
Don't remove a water source block when picking up (drones, liquid hoppers, gas lift) if it has at least two water source neighbours. This can reduce lag due to frequent block updates, and can also potentially make water import much faster. Set this to false if you want no-infinite-water rules in a world, or want to limit the speed of water importing to vanilla block update rates.
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
true
advanced.fluid_tank_update_rate
The minimum interval in ticks between which fluid tank contents should be synced to clients. Smaller values mean smoother visual tank updates, but more of a performance cost in terms of network syncing. Note that fluid tank sync packets are also only sent when a fluid tank changes by more than 1% of its capacity, or 1000mB, whichever is smaller.
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
10
amadron.amadrone_spawn_location
Amadrone spawn location, relative to the delivery/pickup position. This is a X/Y/Z triple. See also 'amadrone_spawn_location_relative_to_ground_level' for how the drone's Y position is calculated.
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
[30,30,0]
amadron.amadrone_spawn_location_relative_to_ground_level
Affects Amadrone Y spawning position: when true, the Y position is relative to ground level at the calculated X/Z position. When false, it is relative to the delivery/pickup position.
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
true
amadron.max_trades_per_player
Max number of custom trades a (non-admin) player may add
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
50
