What is AllTheTweaks?

2 parts

AllTheTweaks is the mod behind the ATM Star, the big endgame goal of this pack. This pack runs version 2.6.9. Its items appear throughout the ATM Star quest chapter, where you craft them one by one on your way to the Star.[1][2]

This mod is mainly for endgame players. The ATM Star quests only open up after a long list of goals from across the pack, so you'll get the most out of it once your base is well established and you're ready for a long project.[2]

Where it fits in the ATM Star path

The ATM Star chapter is built around a set of AllTheTweaks components. Each component has its own quest, and each of those quests only unlocks after a big batch of prerequisites from other mods. That means every piece pulls you through a different corner of the pack.[2]

The three miniature portals are a good example of how the pieces connect. Miniature Nether Portal, Miniature End Portal and Miniature Exit Portal each lean heavily on high-tier enchanting shelves and Infused Dragon's Breath. All three are prerequisites for the "Dimensional Seed" quest quest. And no, you can't walk through any of them![2]

After your first Star

The journey keeps going in the Creative chapter. There you work toward remaking the ATM Star through an Infused Patrick Star crafted in a Runic Star Altar. You can also turn a Patrick Bee into a Starry Bee with an ATM Star Block. Its Starry Combs can rarely give Star Shards in a Centrifuge.[3]

Unverified The exact final recipe for the ATM Star and what the Star itself is used for could not be confirmed from the available sources.

How do you get started with AllTheTweaks?

6 parts

AllTheTweaks is the mod behind the pack's big end goal: the ATM Star. The final quest in the ATM Star chapter says that once you make it, you've beaten the pack. So your first steps are about building toward it, one component at a time.[2]

The order below follows the quest dependencies in the pack, so you can see why each item comes first.[2]

Step 1: the three Miniature Portals

Start with Miniature Nether Portal, Miniature End Portal and Miniature Exit Portal. Their quests all unlock after the Apothic Mods quest. Each one leans on Apotheosis shelves, and the quests warn that you'll need Infused Dragon's Breath from enchanting along the way. The Exit portal is called the most expensive of the three.[2][4]

Step 2: the Dimensional Seed

The Dimensional Seed is the payoff for the portals. Its quest only unlocks after all three portal quests, and the pack added its recipe, so it's a good first milestone.[2][4]

Step 3: the Patrick Star

The Patrick Star has its own quest, "Patrick Star" quest, and it needs several earlier quests done first. The pack adds two ways to make it: a Create mechanical crafting recipe and a Star Altar recipe. You need it again later, because the Infused Patrick Star requires a normal Patrick Star as an input.[2][3][4]

Step 4: the big endgame components

The ATM Star quest lists everything you need to collect. These are the heavy hitters, and each has a pack-added recipe pulling in items from many other mods:[2][4]

Open each quest to see its prerequisites and plan around them. You'll also need the Dimensional Seed and Patrick Star from the earlier steps.[2]

Step 5: craft the ATM Star

The final recipe is a Star Altar recipe that combines all the components above with Creative Essence and some other materials.[2][4]

Looking ahead: Star Shards

The Creative chapter covers remaking Stars. Right-click a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block to get a Starry Bee. The quest says you need a second ATM Star Block for them to pollinate. Starry Combs go into a Centrifuge, which can rarely give ATM Star Shard. The quest says one remade Star takes 262 Star Shards, so start your bee setup early.[3][4]

Tip: Star Shards also lead to the Infused Patrick Star and the fully automated ATM Star route. Those are covered in "Infused Patrick Star" quest and "Fully Automated ATM Star" quest.[3]

Unverified No official guidebook or documentation was available for AllTheTweaks. The order above is based on quest dependencies and recipes, not a developer-recommended route, and the steps before the Apothic Mods quest aren't covered here.

How does AllTheTweaks work?

2 parts

This is the part where I'd normally walk you through machines, multiblocks, power and automation. For AllTheTweaks in this pack, the sources I have don't describe any of that, so I'm keeping this section short instead of guessing.[4]

The only thing the sources confirm is how the mod's items are obtained. The pack adds shaped crafting recipes for Dimensional Seed, Dragon Soul, Improbable Probability Device, Nexium Emitter, Oblivion Shard, Philosopher's Fuel, Wither's Compass and Pulsating Black Hole. The miniature portals (Miniature End Portal, Miniature Exit Portal and Miniature Nether Portal) are also pack-added shaped recipes.[4]

Recipes you can check in-game

How do you progress through AllTheTweaks?

5 parts

In this pack, the AllTheTweaks progression is one long chase for the ATM Star. Chapter 3 ("The ATM Star") takes you to your first one, and Chapter 4 ("Creative") shows you how to remake it automatically.[2][3]

Step 1: Build the star's components

The "ATM Star" quest quest is the finish line, and its text says that crafting the star means you have beaten the modpack. In the quest book it comes after the quests for the star's custom components, plus a Runic Star Altar, The Star's Casing, Creative Essence and an Awakened Unobtainium-Vibranium Alloy Block. Each component is its own mini-project.[2]

All of these use recipes the pack added, so the recipes below are the pack's own and not mod defaults.[4]

The Dimensional Seed and its three portals

The "Dimensional Seed" quest quest ("Garden of Eden in just a single Seed") comes after the three miniature portal quests. All three of those come after the Apothic Mods quest. The quest text says the Miniature Nether Portal is built around a Hellshelf of Masterful Sight, and that you need an Infused Hellshelf and then upgrade it further.[2]

The Miniature End Portal needs quite a few Endshelves, the last shelf tiers you get from Apotheosis. The quest also expects you to have made Eyes of Ender along the way. The Miniature Exit Portal is described as the most expensive of the three. It needs Infused Dragon's Breath from enchanting and Soul-Touched Sculkshelves, and the quest notes that dragon eggs can come from HNN, MA or an Extractor, so you don't have to keep milking the dragon.[2]

The Patrick Star

The "Patrick Star" quest quest ("Too bad SpongeBob isn't a Star.") covers the Patrick Star. The pack gives it several routes: a Create mechanical crafting recipe, a Star Altar recipe, and a centrifuge recipe that gives a Patrick Star along with wax.[2][4]

Step 2: Craft the ATM Star

Once the components are done, the star is crafted in a Star Altar. The pack added this recipe, and besides the components it also asks for Creative Essence, Nether Star Blocks and an Unobtainium-Allthemodium alloy block.[4]

Step 3: Chapter 4, remaking the star

The Creative chapter is about remaking stars instead of building every component again. It starts with the "Starry Bee!" quest quest. Right-click a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block to get a Starry Bee. You need a second ATM Star Block for the bees to pollinate. Starry Combs then rarely give ATM Star Shard in a centrifuge.[3]

The "Star Shards" quest quest says you need 262 Star Shards in total to remake 1 star, so a good bee setup matters. The pack also changed the Mekanism crushing recipe that turns an ATM Star into shards, and the star and block convert back and forth.[3][4]

The "Infused Patrick Star" quest quest has you make an Infused Patrick Star in a Runic Star Altar. The quest text says it needs a regular Patrick Star, Star Shards, Infused Dragon's Breath and the three alloy ingots covered in the Allthemodium chapter. In the recipe dump this is a Star Altar recipe that takes a Patrick Star and outputs a Patrick Star.[3][4]

The last quest, "Fully Automated ATM Star" quest, says the Infused Patrick Star, 5 Star Fragments, Corrupti Dust, Mundabitur Dust and the Lens of the Killer let you rebuild ATM Stars with 100% automation. The pack's recipe for this is below.[3][4]

Watch out: In the recipe dump, the Lens of the Killer is labelled "WIP" in its name, so keep that in mind when you plan an automated star setup around it.[4]

How does AllTheTweaks work with other mods?

      5 parts

AllTheTweaks is the glue of the pack's endgame. Almost everything it adds is a crafting target built from items of many other mods, and every one of those recipes was added by the pack, so none of this is stock mod behaviour. The whole chain leads up to the ATM Star. The quest book says that crafting it means you have beaten the modpack ("ATM Star" quest).[2][4]

The parts of the ATM Star

In the quest book, the ATM Star quest comes after quests for the Dimensional Seed, Dragon Soul, Improbable Probability Device, Nexium Emitter, Oblivion Shard, Patrick Star, Philosopher's Fuel, Pulsating Black Hole and Wither's Compass. The recipes below show that each of them is crafted from items of many other mods.[2][4]

The three miniature portals feed into the Dimensional Seed. The quest book puts them after the Apothic Mods quests, and the Mini End Portal quest says you need Endshelves from Apothic Enchanting, which in turn need Infused Dragon's Breath.[2][4]

The other parts are just as mixed. The Nexium Emitter takes pieces from Advanced AE, AE Infinity Booster, Create, Immersive Engineering, Mekanism, Modern Industrialization and Powah. The Pulsating Black Hole pulls in items from AE2, EvilCraft, Industrial Foregoing, Just Dire Things, Occultism, Oritech, PneumaticCraft, Pocket Storage and Roots Classic.[4]

Pulls from Cataclysm, EvilCraft, Forbidden Arcanus, Steve's Carts and Twilight Forest.

      Crafting the Star itself

The recipe that makes the ATM Star from all those parts uses the star altar recipe type from Modern Industrialization.[4]

The quests mention a Runic Star Altar for the Star and for the Patrick Star and Infused Patrick Star. The Patrick Star recipe is another star altar recipe, and it takes the three AllTheModium alloy ingots, a Star Shard and Infused Dragon's Breath.[2][3][4]

Once you have an Infused Patrick Star, the quests describe a fully automated route that remakes Stars with Star Shards, Corrupti Dust, Mundabitur Dust and the Lens of the Killer (WIP). The altar recipes that turn shards into the numbered shard variants use Forbidden Arcanus items: the Soul Binding Crystal and the Whirlwind, Sea, Smelter and Terrastomp prisms.[3][4]

Tip: Remaking one Star takes 262 Star Shards in total, so get your bee setup going early.[3]

      Bees and Productive Bees

Star Shards come from Productive Bees. Right-clicking a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block gives you a Starry Bee, and you need another block for them to pollinate. The quest says Starry Combs put through a Centrifuge rarely give Star Shards.[3][4]

The pack changed the Productive Bees recipes for this: the Starry Bee conversion and the Starry and Patrick honeycomb centrifuge recipes.[4]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use AllTheTweaks?

          2 parts

This mod's quests sit in two chapters: Chapter 3: The ATM Star, where you build the pack's big end-goal item, and Chapter 4: Creative, where you set up a way to remake it automatically.[2][3]

          Chapter 3: The ATM Star

This chapter is a set of prerequisite quests that all funnel into the ATM Star. It starts with three portal quests, and each one unlocks after the Apothic Mods quests. They ask for the Miniature End Portal (a quest in "Chapter 3: The ATM Star"), the Miniature Exit Portal (a quest in "Chapter 3: The ATM Star") and the Miniature Nether Portal (a quest in "Chapter 3: The ATM Star").[2]

The quest notes point you to Apotheosis shelves for these. The End portal needs Endshelves and Infused Dragon's Breath. The Nether portal needs a Hellshelf of Masterful Sight and an Infused Hellshelf. The Exit portal is called the most expensive of the three and needs Soul-Touched Sculkshelves.[2]

Those three portal quests lead into "Dimensional Seed" quest, which asks for the Dimensional Seed. Its prerequisites also include several other quests that the sources don't name.[2]

The other main items each have their own quest and their own long list of prerequisites:[2]

The final quest, "ATM Star" quest, comes after all of those. Besides the items above, it also needs the Runic Star Altar, Creative Essence, The Star's Casing and an Awakened Unobtainium-Vibranium Alloy Block. Finishing it means you have beaten the modpack.[2]

          Chapter 4: Creative

Once you have your first star, this chapter shows you how to rebuild it without doing everything by hand. It starts with "Starry Bee!" quest, which asks for an ATM Star Block. Right-click a Patrick Bee with that block to get a Starry Bee. The bees need a second ATM Star Block to pollinate. Their Starry Combs can go in a Centrifuge, which rarely gives Star Shards.[3]

Next is "Star Shards" quest, which asks for the ATM Star Shard and comes after the bee quest. The quest note says you need 262 Star Shards in total to remake one star, so you'll want a solid bee setup.[3]

After that comes "Infused Patrick Star" quest, which asks for another Patrick Star. The note says the Infused Patrick Star is made in a Runic Star Altar and needs a regular Patrick Star plus 4 Mending Books, among other things.[3]

The chapter ends with "Fully Automated ATM Star" quest, which asks for the ATM Star again. It comes after the Infused Patrick Star, the Runic Star Altar, Corrupti Dust, Mundabitur Dust, the Lens of the Killer and the ATM Star part quests. With these you can rebuild ATM Stars fully automated.[3]
