What is AdvancedAE?
2 parts
AdvancedAE is an addon for Applied Energistics 2 that makes your ME System more convenient to use and pushes your end-game setup much further. It adds side-aware pattern providers, crafting computers that can run an unlimited number of jobs, a powerful auto crafter, and even an armor set that plugs into your network. All the Mods 10 8.1 ships version 1.6.12-1.21.1.[1][2][3]
What you get
- The Advanced Pattern Provider, together with the Advanced Pattern Encoder, lets you pick which face of a machine each ingredient goes into. That handles side-specific machines like Mekanism's Metallurgic Infuser with a single block and no pipes or subnet.[4][5][6]
- The Quantum Computer is a crafting CPU that runs unlimited crafting jobs as long as it has crafting storage left. All of those jobs share its co-processors, and the whole multiblock uses a single channel.[1][6][7]
- The Quantum Crafter is an auto crafter that performs crafts every tick, pulling ingredients straight from your ME System. It can also handle recursive crafts like smithing templates.[1]
- The Quantum Armor links to your ME System and defends about as well as Netherite. It can use energy as a shield, and upgrade cards add features like flight, night vision, magnet and auto feeding.[1][6][8]
- The Reaction Chamber uses lots of power to run in-world reactions more efficiently. It's also required for the mod's Quantum recipes.[1][6]
- You also get quality-of-life extras: the Stock Export Bus, the ME Throughput Monitor, the Advanced IO Bus and the Import Export Bus.[1][9][10]
Where it fits in ATM10
AdvancedAE shares the Extended & Advanced AE quest chapter. The Quantum line starts with the Reaction Chamber and moves on to crafting the Quantum ingredients. From there it branches into the Quantum Computer and the Quantum Armor.[6]
- "Reaction Efficency: The Reaction Chamber" quest: build the Reaction Chamber.[6]
- "Quantum Ingredients" quest: make the Shattered Singularity, Quantum Alloy and Quantum Processor.[6]
- "Infinite Crafting Jobs: The Quantum Computer" quest and "ME System As Armor: The Quantum Armor" quest both unlock after that, leading on to storage, accelerators, the Quantum Computer Core and armor upgrades.[6]
AdvancedAE also shows up on the ATM Star path. "Quantum Computer Multi-Threader" quest in Chapter 3 asks for a Quantum Computer Multi-Threader. The quest warns that the Crafting Table with Hammers and Pliers won't cut it here: you'll need a Crystal Assembler and a whole bunch of Singularities.[11]
Unverified The mod's own documentation and this pack's quest text disagree on two things: how many co-processor threads the Quantum Computer Core has, and the maximum size of the Quantum Computer multiblock. Check in-game before you plan a big build.
How do you get started with AdvancedAE?
4 parts
Advanced AE builds on your ME System. It adds pattern providers that push items to specific sides of a machine, and multiblock crafting computers that can run an unlimited number of crafts that share co-processors, as long as there is crafting storage left. In All the Mods 10 you'll follow it through the "Extended & Advanced AE" quest chapter, and this section walks through that early path in order.[2][6]
Step 1: The Advanced Pattern Encoder
Start with the Advanced Pattern Encoder. It's the tool that makes side-specific patterns possible, and it's the goal of the quest "Specific Sided Patterns: The Advanced Pattern Provider" quest. With it, one block can feed a machine that needs certain inputs on certain sides, with no pipes and no subnet. Mekanism's Metallurgic Infuser is the classic example.[6]

The pack changed this recipe, so check it in-game rather than relying on older guides.
Right-click with the encoder in your hand to open its GUI, then put an encoded Processing Pattern in the left slot. Each ingredient gets a row of face buttons. Leaving it on "A" sends the ingredient to whatever face is directly connected to the provider, and picking a face forces the ingredient into that side.[4]
You don't have to rebuild your existing providers. The Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade converts a regular or extended pattern provider into the advanced version and keeps its slot count.[12]
Step 2: The Reaction Chamber
Next, build the Reaction Chamber for the quest "Reaction Efficency: The Reaction Chamber" quest. It uses a catalyst fluid and a lot of power to run reactions more efficiently. More importantly, every Quantum recipe in Advanced AE depends on it.[6][13]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: advanced_ae:reactionchamber
Step 3: Quantum ingredients
The quest "Quantum Ingredients" quest asks for three items you'll need for the Quantum Computer, Crafter and Armor. The first is Shattered Singularity, which is made in the Reaction Chamber.[6][14]
Reaction (advanced_ae)
Singularity
2× Sky Stone Dust
100× Lava
- 2× any ender pearl dust
Recipe id: advanced_ae:shatteredsingularity
The second is Quantum Alloy, another Reaction Chamber recipe. It needs Quantum Infusion fluid. You make that fluid from a dust you get by crushing Shattered Singularity in an Inscriber or a Mekanism Crusher.[6][15]
The third is the Quantum Processor. You press it in an Inscriber, and the pack also has a Crystal Assembler version of the recipe.[15]

Recipe id: advanced_ae:quantum_processor
Unverified How the Printed Quantum Circuit used in the Quantum Processor is obtained isn't covered here; look it up in your recipe viewer. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Where to go next
The quest "Infinite Crafting Jobs: The Quantum Computer" quest starts the Quantum Computer. It asks for Quantum Crafting Unit and Quantum Computer Structural Glass. The multiblock is a cuboid from 3x3x3 up to 7x7x7, and a single Quantum Computer Core can also work as a computer by itself. The quest also warns you to get ready to make a lot of Singularities.[6]

Quantum Ingredients also unlocks the Quantum Armor branch, starting with "ME System As Armor: The Quantum Armor" quest. The armor is a set linked to your ME system that can take upgrade cards.[6]
How does AdvancedAE work?
7 parts
Advanced AE is all about making your ME system smarter. You get pattern providers that push each ingredient into a specific side of a machine, a multiblock crafting computer that runs an unlimited number of crafts at once, a tireless auto-crafter, a power-hungry reaction chamber, and a set of smarter buses. Here's how each system works in All the Mods 10 8.1.[1][2]
Advanced Pattern Providers: sided inputs without pipes
A normal pattern provider dumps everything into whichever face it touches. The Advanced Extended Pattern Provider lets you choose the face each individual ingredient of a pattern gets pushed into. That means machines that need specific inputs on specific sides can be automated with a single block and no pipes. The guide calls out Mekanism by name![1][5]
To make this work, you need to turn your patterns into advanced patterns. Right-click with the Advanced Pattern Encoder in hand to open its GUI, then put an encoded processing pattern into the left slot. The encoder decodes it and lists every raw ingredient, and each row has buttons for all the block faces that ingredient can be sent to.[4][5]
- Leaving a row on the "A" button sends that ingredient to whatever face is directly connected to the pattern provider.[4][14]
- Picking a specific face (Up, Down, North, South, East or West) forces that ingredient to be inserted into that face of the machine.[4][14]
- Advanced patterns are only decoded properly by the advanced provider. In any other pattern provider they behave like a normal pattern.[4]
- If even a single item can't be inserted into its chosen face, nothing is inserted directionally and the provider falls back to standard pattern provider behaviour.[4]

There's also an extended version that holds up to 36 patterns. You don't have to rebuild your setup to get one. The Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade converts a regular AE2 pattern provider or an ExtendedAE extended pattern provider into the advanced version and keeps its slot count, so you won't lose what you spent on extending it. The Capacity Upgrade takes a regular pattern provider straight to an advanced one with 36 pattern slots.[5][12][14]

The block and cable-part forms of the Advanced Extended Pattern Provider convert into each other with a simple shapeless craft, so you can swap between them freely.[15]
The Quantum Computer multiblock
The Quantum Computer is a special crafting computer. It can run an unlimited number of crafting requests at the same time, as long as it has enough crafting storage left. All of those concurrent jobs share every co-processor in the multiblock. The whole structure uses a single channel.[1][7]
The Quantum Core is the heart of the computer. It has 256M of crafting storage, and it's the only block that can form a working quantum computer entirely on its own. If you use the core by itself, power has to go in through its Up or Down sides, where the connectors are. The in-game guide lists the core with 8 co-processor threads.[7][14]
Unverified The core's thread count comes from a configurable value, and it's not confirmed whether this pack's settings change it. Check the Quantum Core tooltip in-game for the exact number.
- Quantum Storages add crafting storage, which raises how many jobs can run at once. They come in 128M and 256M versions.[7]
- Each Quantum Computer Accelerator adds 12 co-processor threads in this pack. The pack raised [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerAcceleratorThreads]] to 12, so ignore the 8 mentioned in the guide.[7][16]
- The Quantum Data Entangler multiplies the storage of every storage block in the multiblock. In this pack the factor is 6 instead of the guide's 4, set by [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerDataEntanglerMultiplication]]. [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputermaxDataEntanglers]] is 1, so you get one per computer.[7][16]
- The Quantum Multi-Threader multiplies the co-processing power of your accelerators. In this pack the factor is 6 instead of the guide's 4, set by [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMultiThreaderMultiplication]]. [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMaxMultiThreaders]] is 1, so again you get one per computer.[7][16]
- Quantum Structure blocks are the frame that connects everything together.[7]
Since all running patterns share all co-processors, the guide suggests investing in lots of accelerators. With the 6x multi-threader in this pack, each one goes a long way.[7][16]
Multiblock building rules
- Keep it within the maximum size. [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMaxSize]] is 7 in this pack, so the limit is 7x7x7 measured on the outside.[7][16]
- Use exactly one Quantum Core.[7]
- Place at most one Data Entangler and at most one Multi-Threader.[7][16]
- Make every block on the outside layer a Quantum Structure, and don't put any Quantum Structure on the inside.[7][14]
- Leave no empty spaces inside. Gaps have to be filled with a block that gives no extra benefit.[7]

The Shattered Singularity used in quantum computing is made by chemical reaction in the Reaction Chamber, which is covered below.[14]
Quantum Crafter: always-on auto-crafting
The Quantum Crafter is a configurable auto-crafter that works straight out of your ME system's inventory. Connect it with a cable (it needs a single channel), encode the recipes you want running non-stop as crafting patterns, and put them in its pattern slots. It also handles fluid substitution crafts and recursive crafts, where an input comes back out as an output.[1][17]
- The square button under each pattern turns it on or off. Disabled patterns never craft.[17]
- The cog button opens the Pattern Configuration UI. There you set how much of each ingredient to always keep in the ME system and a maximum for the product. Press Enter to apply each number, and math expressions work too.[17]
- Setting the output limit to 0 removes the limit, so crafting continues until the inputs run out.[14][17]
- Recipes that consume durability aren't supported, and invalid patterns get highlighted.[14]
By default, products are pushed straight into the ME system. Left-click the cell button on the left toolbar to push them into adjacent inventories instead, then use the extra button that appears to pick which sides are allowed to export. For speed, one type of upgrade card pushes it up to 64 crafts of each pattern per tick, and the other adds redstone control. The Quantum Crafter Terminal lets you manage every crafter on your network from one place, and its wireless version links through your wireless access point.[17][18]
Reaction Chamber and power
The Reaction Chamber speeds up chemical reactions using a catalyst fluid and a lot of power, often with more efficient results. Acceleration Cards increase how much power it needs per tick. When it draws from ME power and can't get a full tick's worth, your grid may flicker on and off. To fix that, add energy buffers to your AE system, run fewer acceleration cards, or let the chamber pull from Applied Flux energy cells in your drives.[13]
- Full-block pattern provider: this connects the chamber to the grid so it can pull power when needed. If the grid's stored power is below the per-tick requirement, progress slows down and a warning appears.[13]
- External power: any source that pushes energy can fill the chamber's buffer. If power arrives too slowly, the chamber's screen shows a warning.[13]
- Induction Cards (needs Applied Flux): put them in a cable-part or directional pattern provider to export power from energy cells. They ramp up over time, so crafting starts slow and speeds up as it goes.[13]
Smarter buses
- The ME Import Export Bus combines import and export. Its filter decides what gets exported, and anything not in the filter can be imported.[10]
- The ME Stock Export Bus keeps an exact amount of each filtered stack in the target inventory. Drag an item into the filter and middle-click to set the amount. It won't pull back anything above that amount. It also accepts a crafting card, so it can craft what it needs to export.[1][14][19]
- The ME Advanced IO Bus has the functions of both of the buses above. Its base speed is 8 times that of a regular bus, though it takes a while to ramp up. Import and export are counted separately, so it never gets stuck on one of them. With regulation turned on, it first imports anything above your set amounts and then imports anything that isn't filtered.[9][14][15]

ME Throughput Monitor
The Throughput Monitor works like a normal storage monitor with a rate meter added. It tracks one item or fluid and shows how fast the amount is changing, and it can also track energy in Applied Flux FE cells. It doesn't need a channel. Right-click it with an item, or double-right-click with a container, to set what it tracks. Right-click with an empty hand to clear it, and shift-right-click with an empty hand to lock it. The Throughput Monitor Configurator switches the display between per tick, per second and per minute. Give the readings a moment to settle after switching.[1][20]
How do you progress through AdvancedAE?
7 parts
In All the Mods 10, AdvancedAE progression follows the "Extended & Advanced AE" quest chapter. After the chapter's Advanced AE quest, it splits into two branches. "Reaction Efficency: The Reaction Chamber" quest leads into all the Quantum tech. "Specific Sided Patterns: The Advanced Pattern Provider" quest is a smaller automation upgrade you can grab at any time.[6]
First step: the Reaction Chamber
Your first real goal is the Reaction Chamber. It speeds up in-world reactions inside itself using a catalyst fluid and a lot of power, and gives you more material from them. It's also required for every Quantum recipe in the mod. It uses a lot of power, so set up good power generation and energy cells on your ME network first.[6]

Side branch: the Advanced Pattern Provider
The Advanced Extended Pattern Provider lets you choose which face of a machine each ingredient in a pattern goes to. That means side-picky machines like Mekanism's Metallurgic Infuser can run from a single block, with no pipes or subnet. To set those sides, you encode patterns with an Advanced Pattern Encoder, which is what the quest asks for. The extended version holds up to 36 patterns. The pack changed the recipes for both the encoder and the provider.[5][6][15]

Tier 1: Quantum Ingredients
"Quantum Ingredients" quest asks for three items: Shattered Singularity, Quantum Alloy and Quantum Processor. These go into the Quantum Computer, the Quantum Crafter and the Quantum Armor, so you'll keep coming back for them.[6]
Shattered Singularity and Quantum Alloy are both made in the Reaction Chamber. The alloy also depends on the Quantum Infusion fluid. The quest explains that its dust comes from crushing a Shattered Singularity in an Inscriber or a Mekanism Crusher.[6][15]

"Infinite Crafting Jobs: The Quantum Computer" quest asks for a Quantum Crafting Unit and Quantum Computer Structural Glass. The Quantum Computer is a crafting CPU that can run unlimited crafting jobs at once, sharing its co-processing threads between them, as long as it has crafting storage free. The pack changed the Quantum Crafting Unit recipe.[6][15]

- The multiblock must be a cuboid from 3x3x3 up to 7x7x7.[6]
- There can be no empty spaces. Fill gaps with Quantum Crafting Units, which give no extra benefit.[6]
- It needs exactly one Quantum Computer Core, and it can have at most one Quantum Data Entangler and at most one Quantum Computer Multi-Threader.[6]
- Every block on the outside layer must be Structural Glass, and none of the inside blocks can be.[6]
Tier 3: Storage, Accelerators, Core and Crafter
Next, two quests open up. "Massive Crafting Storage: The Quantum Computer Storage" quest asks for the 128M Quantum Computer Storage and 256M Quantum Computer Storage. These add crafting storage, so the computer can run more jobs at once, and you also need them to make the Core. "Co-Processing Oblivion: Quantum Computer Accelerator" quest asks for the Quantum Computer Accelerator, which adds 12 co-processing threads, and every job shares them. The pack changed the Accelerator recipe.[6][15]

Tier 4: Multi-Threader and Data Entangler
"Co-Processing To Infinity: Quantum Computer Multi-Threader" quest and "Unnecessarily Large Storage: Quantum Data Entangler" quest both need the Core quest and the Crystal Assembler quest done first. The Multi-Threader multiplies your computer's co-processing threads by 6, so a single Accelerator gives 72. It's also an ingredient for the ATM Star. The Data Entangler multiplies crafting storage by 6, so 256M becomes 1.5G. You can only have one of each in a computer. Both are made in the Crystal Assembler with recipes the pack changed.[6][11][15]

The final quest is "The Ultimate Quantum Computer" quest. It's built for maximum threads: 218 Structural Glass, 123 Accelerators, 1 Core and 1 Multi-Threader, for 8,928 co-processing threads in total. It skips the Data Entangler because the Core's 256M storage is plenty. You only need to hand in 200 Glass and 100 Accelerators, and the quest gives you the rest.[6]
Armor branch: Quantum Armor
"ME System As Armor: The Quantum Armor" quest opens after Quantum Ingredients. The same armor also shows up in the Basic Armor chapter as "Quantum Armor (AE2)" quest. Its base stats are similar to Netherite, and it uses energy as a shield that negates 30% of damage. You can link it to your storage system to pull energy and items from anywhere. Wearing the full set also stops radiation from killing you. The pack changed all four piece recipes.[6][15][22]

How does AdvancedAE work with other mods?
6 parts
AdvancedAE is an addon for AE2, so almost every recipe runs through AE2 parts and machines. In All the Mods 10 the pack goes further: several AdvancedAE recipes now need items from other mods, and a few other mods' recipes need AdvancedAE's quantum components. Here's where the mods connect.[1][15]
ExtendedAE
ExtendedAE is the closest partner. The pack changed the Advanced Extended Pattern Provider recipe so it's built from an ME Extended Pattern Provider. The Concurrent Processor is an ingredient in the pack's recipes for the Quantum Crafting Unit, Quantum Computer Accelerator, Quantum Computer Multi-Threader and Advanced Pattern Provider Capacity Upgrade. The Multi-Threader and the Capacity Upgrade are made in ExtendedAE's Crystal Assembler, and the Crystal Assembler also has an alternative recipe for the Quantum Processor.[15]
The Advanced Pattern Provider Upgrade also works on ExtendedAE's Extended Pattern Providers. It turns them into the advanced version and keeps the slots they already had, so you don't lose the materials you spent on the extended upgrade.[12]

Mekanism
The advanced pattern providers were designed with Mekanism in mind. Once you set sides with the Advanced Pattern Encoder, one provider can feed a machine that needs each input on a specific side, like the Metallurgic Infuser. You don't need pipes or a subnet. The quest "Specific Sided Patterns: The Advanced Pattern Provider" quest covers this.[5][6]
Mekanism also helps with quantum materials. Quantum Infused Dust comes from crushing a Shattered Singularity, and you can do that in an Inscriber or a Mekanism Crusher. The quest "Quantum Ingredients" quest explains the full chain. The Quantum Armor quest also says that wearing the full set can stop Radiation from killing you.[6]
Allthemodium
The pack changed the Quantum Armor recipes so each piece is built on top of its Unobtainium counterpart. For example, the Quantum Helmet needs an Unobtainium Helmet, and the other three pieces follow the same pattern. The pack also changed the Strength Card recipe, which now uses an Vibranium Sword.[15]

EnderDrives
The pack rebuilt EnderDrives' recipes around AdvancedAE. The Ender item and fluid storage cells and the Ender Item Housing and Ender Fluid Housing all need a Quantum Alloy Plate and a Quantum Processor. The entry-level 1k Ender Storage Component needs a Quantum Storage Component and a Shattered Singularity. That means you need a working quantum setup before you can use Ender storage.[15]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use AdvancedAE?
4 parts
Advanced AE has its own full questline in All the Mods 10, and it also pops up in three other chapters: Basic Armor, Chapter 3: The ATM Star, and Industrial Foregoing. Most of your progress happens in the Extended & Advanced AE chapter, so let's start there.[6][11][21][22]
Extended & Advanced AE chapter
The chapter has two entry points, and both unlock after the Advanced AE quest. "Reaction Efficency: The Reaction Chamber" quest asks for a Reaction Chamber. That's the gateway to everything quantum, because the chamber is required for the Quantum recipes. It's power hungry, so the quest recommends good power generation and energy cells in your ME network.[6]
"Specific Sided Patterns: The Advanced Pattern Provider" quest asks for an Advanced Pattern Encoder. With the Advanced Pattern Provider, you can choose which face each ingredient goes to. That lets you automate side-specific machines like Mekanism's Metallurgic Infuser from a single block, with no pipes or subnet.[6]
After the Reaction Chamber comes "Quantum Ingredients" quest, which asks for a Shattered Singularity, Quantum Alloy and a Quantum Processor. These are the building blocks for the Quantum Computer, the Quantum Crafter and the Quantum Armor. The chapter then splits into a computer branch and an armor branch.[6]
The Quantum Computer branch
- "Infinite Crafting Jobs: The Quantum Computer" quest asks for a Quantum Crafting Unit and Quantum Computer Structural Glass. The multiblock must be a cuboid from 3x3x3 up to 7x7x7, with glass on the outer layer and exactly one Core.[6]
- "Massive Crafting Storage: The Quantum Computer Storage" quest asks for 128M Quantum Computer Storage and 256M Quantum Computer Storage. "Co-Processing Oblivion: Quantum Computer Accelerator" quest asks for a Quantum Computer Accelerator, which adds 12 co-processing threads.[6]
- With the Accelerator done, "Fully Automated Crafting: The Quantum Crafter" quest asks for a Quantum Crafter. This is a fast auto-crafter that won't accept requests from Pattern Providers.[6]
- Once both the Storage and Accelerator quests are done, "Heart of the Crafts: Quantum Computer Core" quest asks for a Quantum Computer Core. The Core has 256M crafting storage and 12 threads on its own.[6]
- After the Core and the Crystal Assembler quest, two quests open up. "Co-Processing To Infinity: Quantum Computer Multi-Threader" quest asks for a Quantum Computer Multi-Threader, which multiplies threads by 6. "Unnecessarily Large Storage: Quantum Data Entangler" quest asks for a Quantum Data Entangler, which multiplies crafting storage by 6 and is described as optional.[6]
- Finally, "The Ultimate Quantum Computer" quest asks for 218 Structural Glass, 123 Accelerators, 1 Core and 1 Multi-Threader, for a total of 8,928 co-processing threads. Once you've gathered 200 glass and 100 Accelerators, the quest gives you the rest.[6]
The Quantum Armor branch
"ME System As Armor: The Quantum Armor" quest asks for the full set: Quantum Helmet, Quantum Chestplate, Quantum Leggings and Quantum Boots. Its stats are similar to Netherite. It can use Energy as a shield and link to your storage system, and wearing the full set stops Radiation from killing you.[6]
Next, "Upgrades for Quantum Armor" quest asks for a Quantum Upgrade Base Card. You install upgrades through the Quantum Armor Configuration Menu, which opens with N by default. From there, a big fan of card quests opens up, one per upgrade.[6]
- Movement: Walk Speed Card, Sprint Speed Card, Swim Speed Card, Step Assist Card (up to +3 step height) and Jump Height Card (up to +3 jump height).[6]
- Combat: HP Buffer Card (+20 max HP), Strength Card (+10), Attack Speed Card (+5), Regeneration Card, Luck Card (+2) and Reach Card (up to +5).[6]
- Utility: Flight Card, Night Vision Card, Water Breathing Card, Lava Immunity Card, Auto Feeding Card, Auto Stock Card, Magnet Card, ME Recharging Card, Portable Workbench Card and Pick Craft Card.[6]
- Two cards come later. a quest in "Extended \& Advanced AE" (Evasion Card, +30% evasion) needs the walk, sprint, swim and attack speed quests first. a quest in "Extended \& Advanced AE" (Flight Drift Card) follows the Flight Card quest.[6]
Other chapters
The Basic Armor chapter has "Quantum Armor (AE2)" quest, which asks for the same four armor pieces. It notes that the energy shield negates 30% of damage.[22]
Chapter 3: The ATM Star includes "Quantum Computer Multi-Threader" quest, unlocked after Applied Energistics. It reminds you that you'll need a Crystal Assembler and a whole bunch of Singularities. The Multi-Threader is an ingredient for the ATM Star, so this one really matters.[6][11]
In Industrial Foregoing, "Automating the Potion Brewer" quest asks for an Advanced Pattern Encoder and an ME Export Bus. It walks you through using an Advanced Pattern Provider to send Glass Bottles to the top of the Potion Brewer, with Filtered Import turned on.[21]
Which AdvancedAE config options matter?
3 parts
The AdvancedAE config options worth knowing about in All the Mods 10 8.1 all sit in the quantum computer section of the common config file. They control how big and how powerful your Quantum Computer multiblock can get, so check them before you plan a build.[16]
Quick refresher: the Quantum Computer is a special crafting unit that can run an unlimited number of crafting tasks as long as it has enough crafting storage. All of those tasks share every co-processor in the multiblock. On its own, the Quantum Core works as a crafting unit with 256M storage and 8 co-processors, and building a multiblock around it extends that a lot.[1]
Multiblock size
The mod's project page says the multiblock can scale up to 5x5x5. In this pack, [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMaxSize]] sets the maximum dimensions of the multiblock to 7, and the option accepts values from 5 to 12. That gives you more room than the project page describes.[1][16]
Data Entanglers and Multi-Threaders
These two special blocks are where the real power comes from. The Quantum Data Entangler multiplies the storage in the multiblock, and the Quantum Multi-Threader multiplies its co-processors. The project page gives a factor of 4 for each, but this pack raises both multipliers to 6.[1][16]
- [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerDataEntanglerMultiplication]] is set to 6, with an allowed range of 2 to 8.[16]
- [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMultiThreaderMultiplication]] is set to 6, with an allowed range of 2 to 8.[16]
- [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputermaxDataEntanglers]] is set to 1, so you get one Data Entangler per multiblock. The allowed range is 1 to 2.[16]
- [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMaxMultiThreaders]] is set to 1, so you get one Multi-Threader per multiblock. The allowed range is 1 to 2.[16]
Accelerator threads
The pack sets [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerAcceleratorThreads]] to 12, and the option accepts values from 4 to 16. Its description in the config file is the same as the one for the maximum number of Multi-Threaders, so the file doesn't explain clearly what this value does in game.[16]
Unverified Exactly how the accelerator threads value affects the Quantum Computer, and what the mod's own default values are for all of these options, can't be confirmed from the available sources.
