What is Eternal Starlight?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
Eternal Starlight is a dimension mod that adds the Starlight Dimension, a magical and mysterious realm bathed in starlight and full of wonder, danger and discovery. If you like exploring new places, fighting bosses and collecting new gear, this one is for you.[1]
All the Mods 10 4.5 ships version 0.5.1+1.21.1+neoforge of the mod, and it has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier.[2]
How your journey starts
- Look for the Starlight Portal Ruins in the Overworld.[1]
- Face The Gatekeeper to unlock the gateway to the stars.[1]
- Use the Seeking Eye to find each boss, then follow the clues on the Glimmering Tablet to track them down.[1]
Once you're through, you'll find diverse biomes, rare ingredients, unique mobs and lots of tools and weapons to discover.[1]
Where it fits in this pack
The pack has its own Eternal Starlight quest chapter, and it makes a great checklist while you explore. It has quests for key items like the Orb of Prophecy in a quest in "?" and the Seeking Eye in a quest in "?". It also covers blocks, plants and saplings such as the Lunar Sapling and the Torreya Sapling.[3]
The chapter also tracks the mod's gear materials. Getting a Thermal Springstone Ingot in a quest in "?" opens quests for Thermal Springstone tools and armor, like the Thermal Springstone Pickaxe and the Thermal Springstone Chestplate. Getting an Aethersent Ingot in a quest in "?" leads to Aethersent pieces like the Aethersent Hood, plus the Rage of Stars and the Starfall Longbow. There is also a quest for the eternal_starlight:swamp_silver_ingot in a quest in "?".[3]
Unverified The available sources don't show where this quest chapter sits in the pack's wider progression.
How do you get started with Eternal Starlight?
4 parts
Eternal Starlight is a dimension mod. It adds the starlight dimension, full of new biomes, rare ingredients, unique mobs, tools and weapons. Your first goal is simply to get there, so the early steps below focus on reaching the portal, finding bosses and grabbing your first new materials.[1]
Step 1: Open the way to the stars
Start in the Overworld by hunting down the Starlight Portal Ruins. There you face The Gatekeeper, and passing the gatekeeper's trial unlocks the gateway to the starlight dimension.[1][4]
The key item here is the Orb of Prophecy, which can be used to open the portal. The pack's quest line has a quest for it, a quest in "?", so it's a great first crafting target.[4][5]

Unverified The exact steps for using the Orb of Prophecy at the ruins, and where to find its crafting materials, could not be confirmed.
Step 2: Make a Seeking Eye
Next, make a Seeking Eye. You use it to locate each boss, then follow the clues on the Glimmering Tablet to track them down. The pack has a quest for it, a quest in "?".[1][5]

Recipe id: eternal_starlight:seeking_eye
Step 3: Your first new materials
Once you're exploring, the quest chapter branches into several material lines. Each one opens up its own set of tool and armor quests, so you can pick whichever you find first.[5]
- Amaramber: you get Raw Amaramber by stripping Torreya Logs. Its quest, a quest in "?", leads into the Amaramber tool and armor quests.[4][5]
- Glacite: smelt or blast Glacite into a Glacite Shard. Its quest, a quest in "?", unlocks a full set of Glacite gear quests, including a shield and a scythe.[5][6]
- Swamp Silver: the eternal_starlight:swamp_silver_ingot quest, a quest in "?", leads into Swamp Silver tools, armor and the Swamp Silver Sickle.[5]
- Saltpeter: this pack changed the smelting and blasting recipes for Saltpeter Powder so they accept any ore in the saltpeter ore tag. The powder quest, a quest in "?", is followed by one for the Saltpeter Matchbox.[5][6]
- Atalphaite: this pack also changed the smelting and blasting recipes for eternal_starlight:atalphaite so they take any ore in the atalphaite ore tag. It has its own quest, a quest in "?".[5][6]
Crafting Shapeless

Step 4: Aethersent gear
The Aethersent Ingot quest, a quest in "?", opens up Aethersent armor, the Rage of Stars and the Starfall Longbow. You get the ingot by smelting or blasting Raw Aethersent.[5][6]
The Aethersent armor is well worth it: its tooltip says it summons meteors over the enemy's head when you get hurt. The pack's armor chapter also has a quest for the full set, a quest in "?".[4][7]

How does Eternal Starlight work?
8 parts
Eternal Starlight is a dimension mod. It adds the starlight dimension, with diverse biomes, rare ingredients, unique mobs, and a set of tools and weapons to find. Its core mechanics are about reaching that dimension, tracking down and beating its bosses, and using the gear and special abilities you get along the way.[1]
Unverified None of the available material describes machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item transport, or automation for this mod. If any of these exist in this pack, they are not covered here.
Getting into the starlight dimension
Your journey starts in the Overworld. Find the Starlight Portal Ruins and face The Gatekeeper to unlock the gateway to the stars.[1]
Passing the gatekeeper's trial is its own advancement. The Orb of Prophecy is the item that opens the portal, so make sure you have it before you head through.[4]
Tracking down the bosses
Bosses aren't just wandering around. You use the Seeking Eye to locate each one, then follow the clues on the Glimmering Tablet to track it down.[1]
You craft the Seeking Eye from an Ender Pearl and eight Starlight Flowers. Before you use it, put the related item in your other hand. The Guidance of Stars crest also helps you find the ruins where the powerful creatures live.[4]
Bosses won't just take hits, so you need to learn each fight's trick:[4]
- Starlight Golem: deactivate the Energy Block to make the golem vulnerable to your attacks.[4]
- Lunar Monstrosity: ignite it to make it vulnerable to your attacks.[4]
Meteor showers and Aethersent gear
Meteor showers are a mechanic you can trigger yourself. The Aetherstrike Rocket has the power to conjure one. During a meteor shower, Creteors fall from the sky, and defeating one counts as an advancement.[4]
Creteors matter because Creteor Hide goes into the Aethersent armor pieces, along with Aethersent Ingot. The pieces are the Aethersent Hood, Aethersent Cape, Aethersent Bottoms and Aethersent Boots.[6]

Armor abilities
Several armor sets have a special ability, listed in their tooltips under a line for wearing the full set. Here's what each one does:[4]
- Aethersent armor: summons meteors over an enemy's head when you get hurt.[4]
- Glacite armor: freezes enemies that damage you and makes you immune to freeze damage.[4]
- Thermal Springstone armor: ignites enemies that damage you and reduces the fire damage you take.[4]
- Swamp Silver armor: makes you immune to certain negative effects.[4]
The Dagger of Hunger
The Dagger of Hunger has a hunger meter of its own, so you have to keep it fed:[4]
- When you attack, it restores its hunger value, so you keep attacking mobs to satiate it.[4]
- When it's full, you get an attack damage and attack speed bonus.[4]
- When it's hungry, it eats you instead, so don't let it sit idle.[4]
Crests, effects and enchantments
The mod adds its own crests, status effects and enchantments. Here's what each one does:[4]
- Blazing Beam crest: fires a laser beam in the direction you're facing.[4]
- Boulders Shield crest: gives you the resistance effect.[4]
- Guidance of Stars crest: helps you find the ruins where the powerful creatures live.[4]
- Crystalline Infection effect: deals lethal damage over time and lowers your armor. Higher levels do more damage and lower more armor.[4]
- Dream Catcher effect: increases your armor, more at higher levels.[4]
- Sticky effect: slightly lowers your speed but lets you climb on any block. Higher levels slow you more. A bowl of Bouldershroom Stew also lets you climb anywhere.[4]
- Fearless enchantment: increases knockback and makes you dash toward your enemy when you attack.[4]
- Poisoning enchantment: poisons an enemy when it's hurt.[4]
- Soul Snatcher enchantment: increases the attack damage of the Chain of Souls.[4]
World interactions worth knowing
A lot of the mod's progression comes from interacting with the world in specific ways rather than from crafting:[4]
- Strip Torreya Logs to get Raw Amaramber.[4]
- Enrage an Aurora Deer and make it collide with hard blocks, then collect its antlers.[4]
- Put a Carved Lunaris Cactus Fruit on a Grimstone Brick to summon a Grimstone Golem.[4]
- Tame a Crystallized Moth by feeding it enough meat. Tamed moths attack with sound waves.[4]
- Get a Tooth of Hunger by killing a Thirst Walker or by blocking its attack.[4]
- Stellagmite is found underground and can be melted by lava.[4]
- Near Thermal Springstone, only flames can destroy the giant plants that live there.[4]
- You'll find Dusted Shard on the ocean floor.[4]
- When a Tangled Skull dies, it explodes, and that explosion can kill another one.[4]
Material storage and pack changes
The metals work like vanilla ones: you can turn ingots into nuggets and back, and ingots into storage blocks and back. For example, Aethersent Ingot converts to and from Aethersent Nugget and Block of Aethersent.[6]

How do you progress through Eternal Starlight?
8 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
Eternal Starlight has its own quest chapter in this pack, and its gear also shows up in the shared armor, tools and building chapters. The dedicated chapter is organized around materials. Each tier has one quest for getting the material, and that quest unlocks a set of quests for the tools, weapons and armor made from it. So the easiest way to plan your progression is to chase one material at a time.[3][8][9][10]
Getting started
In the main story chapter, the first Eternal Starlight quest asks for the Glimmering Tablet. It leads into a follow-up quest, a quest in "?", which asks for the Chain of Souls.[11]
In the mod's own chapter, a quest in "?" asks for a Seeking Eye. Completing it opens quests for the dimension's plants and for golem steel, which also accept vanilla alternatives. Several other early quests ask for materials: eternal_starlight:atalphaite, Thermal Springstone Ingot, Stellagmite and Aethersent Ingot. There is also a quest for the Orb of Prophecy.[3]

How the tiers fit the rest of the pack
- In the shared tools chapter, a quest in "?" accepts the eternal_starlight:swamp_silver_pickaxe as one of several options from other mods.[9]
- A separate tools quest, a quest in "?", accepts the Glacite Pickaxe or Thermal Springstone Pickaxe.[9]
- The same tools chapter has its own quests for the Glacite Sword, Moonring Greatsword and Rage of Stars.[9]

How does Eternal Starlight work with other mods?
3 parts
Eternal Starlight is mostly its own dimension, but this pack adds a set of custom recipes that tie it into the rest of the modpack. Most of them are wood processing, endgame crafting, or shortcut conversions that turn Overworld materials into their Starlight versions.[6]
Starlight Prediction conversions
The biggest integration is a family of shapeless recipes added by the pack. Each one uses Starlight Prediction to turn a familiar Overworld block or item into its Eternal Starlight counterpart. You can use them to make stone and dirt variants like Grimstone, Voidstone and Nightfall Grass Block, and plants like Lunar Berries and Orbflora. The same goes for corals, crystal blocks, and ice blocks such as Glacite.[6]
Crafting Shapeless

One of the many Starlight Prediction conversions
A few of these conversions reach beyond vanilla. Oxidized Golem Steel Ingot and eternal_starlight:swamp_silver_ingot accept any tagged steel or silver ingot, so metals from other mods in the pack work too. Raw Aethersent takes any tagged diamond.[6]

Wood processing with Mekanism and Productive Trees
The pack adds Mekanism sawing recipes for Lunar, Northland, Scarlet, Starlight Mangrove and Torreya logs. Each one turns the log into its matching planks, such as Lunar Planks, plus Sawdust as a byproduct.[6]
Sawing (mekanism)
- any lunar log

Endgame crafting
Chain of Souls is part of the pack's Dragon Soul recipe. That recipe also pulls in items from All the Modium, Apothic Enchanting, Cataclysm, Occultism, Productive Bees and Productive Trees, so plan on getting a Chain of Souls if you're heading for the Dragon Soul.[6]

eternal_starlight:trapped_soul also appears in a pack-added Modular Machinery Reborn recipe for the Runic Crucible. It is used there together with Forbidden Arcanus items such as Corrupt Soul, Corrupti Dust and Soul.[6]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Eternal Starlight?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
Eternal Starlight turns up across several quest chapters in this pack. It has its own dedicated chapter, and its gear and materials also appear in the basic armor, basic tools, building tips and chapter_2_the_star chapters. Every one of these quests asks you to get specific items, so exploring the dimension and crafting its gear will tick them off as you go.[3][8][9][10][11]

Which Eternal Starlight config options matter?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Eternal Starlight is a dimension mod that adds the magical, mysterious Starlight dimension. Its project page covers getting there, the bosses and what you can explore, but it doesn't go into config settings.[1]
Unverified This section can't list which config options matter or how All the Mods 10 8.1 sets them, because none of this mod's config files from the pack were available to check. That means no confirmed option names, defaults or pack changes yet. If you want to check for yourself, look in your instance's config folder for this mod's files.
What changed in Eternal Starlight between versions?
2 parts
Eternal Starlight has been part of All the Mods 10 for a long time. It was first included in version 1.9 or earlier, and it's still in the pack today.[13]
Update in All the Mods 10 2.26
The big change so far came in pack version 2.26. That release updated Eternal Starlight from 0.2.3+1.21.1+neoforge to 0.3.0+1.21.1+neoforge.[14]
Current version in 2.34
All the Mods 10 2.34 still ships Eternal Starlight 0.3.0+1.21.1+neoforge. So if you're playing 2.34, you have the same version of the mod that arrived in 2.26.[13][14]
Unverified We don't have the mod's own changelogs for these versions, so the exact features, fixes or balance changes that came with the jump from 0.2.3 to 0.3.0 can't be confirmed here. Any mod updates between 1.9 and 2.26 are not covered by the available pack changelogs either.
