What is Eternal Starlight?
2 parts
Eternal Starlight is a dimension mod that adds the Starlight Dimension, a magical and mysterious realm bathed in starlight and full of wonder, danger and discovery. If you like exploring new places, fighting bosses and collecting new gear, this one is for you.[1]
All the Mods 10 4.5 ships version 0.5.1+1.21.1+neoforge of the mod, and it has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier.[2]
How your journey starts
- Look for the Starlight Portal Ruins in the Overworld.[1]
- Face The Gatekeeper to unlock the gateway to the stars.[1]
- Use the Seeking Eye to find each boss, then follow the clues on the Glimmering Tablet to track them down.[1]
Once you're through, you'll find diverse biomes, rare ingredients, unique mobs and lots of tools and weapons to discover.[1]
Where it fits in this pack
The pack has its own Eternal Starlight quest chapter, and it makes a great checklist while you explore. It has quests for key items like the Orb of Prophecy in a quest in "?" and the Seeking Eye in a quest in "?". It also covers blocks, plants and saplings such as the Lunar Sapling and the Torreya Sapling.[3]
The chapter also tracks the mod's gear materials. Getting a Thermal Springstone Ingot in a quest in "?" opens quests for Thermal Springstone tools and armor, like the Thermal Springstone Pickaxe and the Thermal Springstone Chestplate. Getting an Aethersent Ingot in a quest in "?" leads to Aethersent pieces like the Aethersent Hood, plus the Rage of Stars and the Starfall Longbow. There is also a quest for the eternal_starlight:swamp_silver_ingot in a quest in "?".[3]
Unverified The available sources don't show where this quest chapter sits in the pack's wider progression.
How do you get started with Eternal Starlight?
4 parts
Eternal Starlight is a dimension mod, so your first goal is simple: get into the Starlight dimension. Everything else in this section builds on that trip, from your first portal item to the first gear sets you can make on the other side.[1][4]
Step 1: Find the way in
Your adventure starts in the Overworld. Look for the Starlight Portal Ruins, then face The Gatekeeper there. Beating the Gatekeeper is what unlocks the gateway to the stars, and passing its trial is one of the mod's advancements.[1][4]
You'll also want an Orb of Prophecy, because it can be used to open the portal. It has its own quest in the Eternal Starlight chapter, a quest in "?", so you can tick it off as soon as you craft one.[3][4]

Your key to the portal
Unverified The exact order of opening the portal, whether you need the Orb of Prophecy before or after the Gatekeeper fight and what the Gatekeeper's trial involves, could not be confirmed. Check the Portal Ruins in-game.
Step 2: Craft a Seeking Eye
Once you're exploring the dimension, the Seeking Eye is your navigation tool. You use it to locate each boss, then follow the clues on the Glimmering Tablet to track them down. It's worth crafting early, and it has a quest of its own, a quest in "?".[1][3]

Step 3: Your first materials and gear
The dimension has several material lines. In the pack's quest chapter, each material quest unlocks the quests for the gear made from it, so every ingot or shard you grab opens up a new set of tools. These are the easiest ones to start with.[3]
- Amaramber: you get Raw Amaramber by stripping Torreya logs. Its quest a quest in "?" leads to the Amaramber helmet, chestplate, axe, shovel and hoe quests.[3][4]
- Glacite: smelt or blast Glacite into Glacite Shard. The a quest in "?" quest leads to a full Glacite set, including armor, a pickaxe, a sword, a scythe and a shield.[3][5]
- Swamp Silver: the eternal_starlight:swamp_silver_ingot quest a quest in "?" leads to Swamp Silver armor, a pickaxe, sword, axe and sickle.[3]
- Stellagmite: you find Stellagmite underground, and it can be melted by lava. It has its own quest, a quest in "?".[3][4]

The Aethersent Ingot quest a quest in "?" unlocks the Aethersent armor pieces and the Rage of Stars. The armor also needs Creteor Hide. Creteors fall from the sky during meteor showers, so treat this set as a goal for later rather than a day-one craft.[3][4][5]

How does Eternal Starlight work?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.12 guide
Eternal Starlight is a dimension mod, and the sources I have only describe a handful of functional systems. I'm keeping this section to what they confirm.[1]
The Crystalborn Catalyst
The one machine the sources describe is the Crystalborn Catalyst. It is a crystal-fueled and redstone-powered machine, and crafting it has its own advancement.[4]
Starfire and the Starfire Birds
Starfire comes from helping the Starfire Birds breed. You put seeds into the birds' nests to help them breed, and that is how you obtain Starfire.[4]
You can also craft the Acacia Starfire Bird Aviary. Here is the in-pack recipe:[6]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: eternal_starlight:acacia_starfire_bird_aviary
Portal and boss finding
To reach the dimension, find the Starlight Portal Ruins in the Overworld and face the Gatekeeper to unlock the gateway. The Orb of Prophecy is the item that can be used to open the portal.[1][4]
Once you are inside, the Seeking Eye locates each boss, and the Glimmering Tablet gives you clues to track them down. The Seeking Eye's tooltip says to put a related item in your other hand before using it.[1][4]
Pack recipe changes
The pack changes the standard recipe for the Amaramber Lantern. The mod also has a second recipe for the same lantern, which is not marked as changed. This is the pack's version:[6]

Ether fluid
The Ether fluid exists in the dimension, and you can earn an advancement for standing in it.[4]
How do you progress through Eternal Starlight?
8 parts
Eternal Starlight has its own quest chapter in this pack, and its gear also shows up in the shared armor, tools and building chapters. The dedicated chapter is organized around materials. Each tier has one quest for getting the material, and that quest unlocks a set of quests for the tools, weapons and armor made from it. So the easiest way to plan your progression is to chase one material at a time.[3][7][8][9]
Getting started
In the main story chapter, the first Eternal Starlight quest asks for the Glimmering Tablet. It leads into a follow-up quest, a quest in "?", which asks for the Chain of Souls.[10]
In the mod's own chapter, a quest in "?" asks for a Seeking Eye. Completing it opens quests for the dimension's plants and for golem steel, which also accept vanilla alternatives. Several other early quests ask for materials: eternal_starlight:atalphaite, Thermal Springstone Ingot, Stellagmite and Aethersent Ingot. There is also a quest for the Orb of Prophecy.[3]

a quest in "?" asks for a eternal_starlight:swamp_silver_ingot. You can smelt or blast eternal_starlight:swamp_silver_ore to get one. This quest unlocks quests for the Swamp Silver sword, axe, pickaxe and eternal_starlight:swamp_silver_sickle, plus the full helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots set.[3][5]

Glacite

Aethersent
a quest in "?" asks for an Aethersent Ingot, which you get by smelting or blasting Raw Aethersent. This tier focuses on combat rather than mining tools. It unlocks quests for the Aethersent Hood, Aethersent Cape, Aethersent Bottoms and Aethersent Boots, plus the Rage of Stars and the Starfall Longbow.[3][5]

Thioquartz, golem steel and special weapons
a quest in "?" asks for a Block of Thioquartz. It unlocks quests for the Alchemist Mask and Alchemist Robe.[3]
Golem Steel Ingot feeds several weapons, including the Mechanical Crossbow, Crystal Crossbow and Moonring Greatsword. You get it by smelting or blasting an Oxidized Golem Steel Ingot.[5]

How the tiers fit the rest of the pack
- In the shared tools chapter, a quest in "?" accepts the eternal_starlight:swamp_silver_pickaxe as one of several options from other mods.[8]
- A separate tools quest, a quest in "?", accepts the Glacite Pickaxe or Thermal Springstone Pickaxe.[8]
- The same tools chapter has its own quests for the Glacite Sword, Moonring Greatsword and Rage of Stars.[8]
- The armor chapter has a full-set quest for each of the Swamp Silver, Glacite, Thermal Springstone and Aethersent armors. It also has single-item quests for the base materials and both armor trim smithing templates.[7]

How does Eternal Starlight work with other mods?
3 parts
Eternal Starlight ties into the rest of the pack in a few ways. It feeds an endgame crafting chain, it adds machine processing for its wood, and it gets decorative furniture from other mods. Here's what the pack's recipes show.[5]
Dragon Soul
This is the big one. The pack adds its own recipe for the Dragon Soul, and Chain of Souls from this mod is one of its ingredients. The other ingredients come from several mods across the pack. If you're working toward the Dragon Soul, add a Chain of Souls to your list.[5]

Pack-added recipe
Sawing Starlight wood
The pack adds Mekanism sawing recipes for every Eternal Starlight wood type: Jinglestem, Lunar, Northland, Scarlet, Starlight Mangrove and Torreya. Any log from one of these tree types becomes its matching planks, such as Lunar Planks or Torreya Planks. You also get Sawdust as a byproduct.[5]
Sawing (mekanism)
- any lunar log
Recipe id: allthemods:mekanism/sawing/eternal_starlight/lunar_planks
Every wood type has a matching recipe
The pack also adds Productive Trees sawmill recipes for the same wood types, so you can also process Starlight logs into planks there.[5]
Sawmill (productivetrees)
2× Sawdust
- any lunar log
Recipe id: allthemods:productivetrees/sawing/eternal_starlight/lunar_planks
Unverified The sources don't clearly show how Productive Trees sawdust fits into the sawmill recipes for these woods, so check the recipe viewer in-game. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
BiblioCraft furniture
If you like decorating, Eternal Starlight woods get their own BiblioCraft furniture. There are display cases, seats and several seat backs: flat, raised, small, tall and fancy. Examples include the Black Lunar Display Case and the Blue Jinglestem Seat.[5]
- Furniture comes in Jinglestem, Lunar, Northland, Scarlet, Starlight Mangrove and Torreya wood.[5]
- The furniture comes in different colours, set by the wool used in the recipe. Black and blue versions are among them, like the Black Scarlet Seat.[5]
- The fancy and tall seat backs are upgrades made from a flat seat back, such as the Black Torreya Flat Seat Back.[5]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Eternal Starlight?
4 parts
Eternal Starlight turns up across several quest chapters in this pack. It has its own dedicated chapter, and its gear and materials also appear in the basic armor, basic tools, building tips and chapter_2_the_star chapters. Every one of these quests asks you to get specific items, so exploring the dimension and crafting its gear will tick them off as you go.[3][7][8][9][10]

Which Eternal Starlight config options matter?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Eternal Starlight is a dimension mod that adds the magical, mysterious Starlight dimension. Its project page covers getting there, the bosses and what you can explore, but it doesn't go into config settings.[1]
Unverified This section can't list which config options matter or how All the Mods 10 8.1 sets them, because none of this mod's config files from the pack were available to check. That means no confirmed option names, defaults or pack changes yet. If you want to check for yourself, look in your instance's config folder for this mod's files.
What changed in Eternal Starlight between versions?
1 part
Eternal Starlight has been in All the Mods 10 since version 2.2 or earlier. The current pack, 4.5, ships version 0.5.1+1.21.1+neoforge of the mod.[2]
Version bumps across pack releases
These are the updates recorded in the pack changelogs, oldest first. The pack changelog only lists the version change for each one.[11][12][13][14][15][16]
- All the Mods 10 2.26: updated from 0.2.3 to 0.3.0.[11]
- All the Mods 10 2.36: updated from 0.3.0 to 0.4.0.[12]
- All the Mods 10 2.40: updated from 0.4.0 to 0.4.1.[13]
- All the Mods 10 2.43: updated from 0.4.1 to 0.4.2-hotfix.[14]
- All the Mods 10 2.47: updated from 0.4.2-hotfix to 0.4.3.[15]
- All the Mods 10 4.5: updated from 0.4.3 to 0.5.1.[16]
If you're upgrading from a pack version that shipped 0.4.3 to 4.5, you're jumping from 0.4.3 to 0.5.1 in a single step.[16]
Unverified What actually changed inside the mod in each of these versions (new content, balance changes, fixes) is unverified. No changelogs for the shipped jars are available, so check the mod's own release notes before relying on any specific change.
