What is Eternal Starlight?
3 parts
Eternal Starlight is a dimension mod that adds the Starlight dimension, a magical and mysterious realm. It is packed with diverse biomes, rare ingredients, unique mobs and a big array of tools and weapons. If you like exploring a brand-new world and hunting bosses for loot, this one is for you.[1]
All the Mods 10 8.1 ships Eternal Starlight 0.9.0+1.21.1+neoforge. It has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier.[2]
Getting into the Starlight
First, find the Starlight Portal Ruins scattered around the Overworld. Challenge the Gatekeeper there. If you win, he gives you the items you need to go through the portal into the new dimension.[1][3]
The Orb of Prophecy can be crafted, or you can get it by beating the Gatekeeper. Its main use is activating the portal.[4]
What you'll do there
- Hunt bosses. Each boss lives in its own structure. Throw a Seeking Eye like an Ender Eye to find these structures, and follow the clues on the Glimmering Tablet.[1][4]
- Mine new materials. Deepsilver Ingot comes from Deepsilver, which is found everywhere underground. Starlit Diamond spawns far underground around Voidstone.[4]
- Look for Hot Ponds. You won't find them as a biome or structure, but they hold Thermal Springstone, the source of Thermal Springstone Ingot.[4]
- Try out fun gear such as the Golem Steel Greatsword, the Energy Boomerang and the Underminer. The Underminer mines faster the lower your Y level.[4]
Where it fits in the ATM Star path
Eternal Starlight is part of Chapter 3: The ATM Star. The quest "Eternal Starlight" quest asks you to get the Glimmering Tablet. It leads into "Chain of Souls" quest, which asks for the Chain of Souls. That is a grappling-hook-style tool with a range of about 90 blocks, and you get its materials by killing a Lunar Monstrosity.[3]
The mod also has its own Eternal Starlight quest chapter, which walks you through its biomes, materials, bosses and gear.[4]
Unverified The sources don't show how the Chain of Souls is used further along the ATM Star path, so check the Chapter 3 quest book in-game for the next steps.
How do you get started with Eternal Starlight?
6 parts
Your Eternal Starlight adventure starts in the Overworld. Look for the Starlight Portal Ruins and face The Gatekeeper to unlock the gateway to the stars.[1]
Step 1: Get the Orb of Prophecy
Your first real goal is the Orb of Prophecy. You can craft it or earn it by beating the Gatekeeper, and its main job is activating the portal into the Starlight dimension. The pack tracks this with the "Orb of Prophecy" quest quest, which comes right after the Gatekeeper and the Gate.[4][5]
Unverified The crafting recipe for the Orb of Prophecy isn't in the recipe data for this guide, so check JEI in your own game to see how it's made in this pack. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Step 2: Grab easy food
Once you're through, sort out food before you go digging. Lunar Berries grow downward from the leaves of Lunar Trees in the Starlight Forests, and you pluck them off the vines like Glow Berries. They're easy to get and give much more food and saturation than Glow Berries, so they're a great early food source.[4]
Step 3: Mine Saltpeter
Next, pick up some Saltpeter Powder ("Saltpeter Powder" quest). Saltpeter shows up anywhere underground and is very common in the Warm Shore biome. You need a Stone Pickaxe to mine it. Each block drops a couple of powder, and Fortune works on it. The powder can also replace other niters.[4]
Step 4: Your first metal, Deepsilver
Deepsilver Ingot is the first metal to aim for ("Deepsilver" quest). It used to be called Swamp Silver and only spawned in Dark Swamps, but now you'll find it everywhere underground. The easiest way to get ingots is to smelt the raw ore in a furnace or a blast furnace.[4][6]
Smelting
Recipe id: eternal_starlight:deepsilver_ingot_smelting_from_raw_deepsilver
You can also make Deepsilver with the mod's alloy recipes, which work from either ores or raw materials and give you Dimslag as a byproduct. All the Mods 10 changed both alloy recipes, so trust the in-pack versions below over any older guide.[6]

Step 5: Gear up in Deepsilver
With a stack of ingots, make a Deepsilver pickaxe and armor set. Each piece has its own quest in the chapter, like "Deepsilver Pickaxe" quest and "Deepsilver Chestplate" quest.[4][6]

What's next
When you're geared up, it's time to hunt bosses. They live in structures that aren't common, so use a Seeking Eye ("Finding the Bosses" quest). It works like an Eye of Ender: right-click to throw it, then follow it to the structure. The item in your offhand decides which structure it points to, and the Glimmering Tablet gives clues to track each boss down.[1][4]
Unverified The recipe for the Seeking Eye and the exact offhand item for each boss structure aren't in the sources for this guide. Check JEI and the quest book in game. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How does Eternal Starlight work?
5 parts
Eternal Starlight is mostly an exploration and adventure mod, so you won't find big tech-style factories here. Its systems are mainly a couple of machine-type blocks plus world interactions with blocks, fluids and creatures. Here's what we can confirm for All the Mods 10 8.1.[1][5]
Machines
The main machine is the Crystalborn Catalyst, which the mod describes as a crystal-fueled and redstone-powered machine. So it runs on crystals as fuel and needs a redstone signal to work, instead of using a separate energy network.[5]
Unverified We couldn't confirm what the Crystalborn Catalyst produces, which crystals it accepts as fuel, how fast it works or whether it accepts hoppers or pipes.
The mod also has a recipe type called Alloy Furnace Cooling, which appears as its own category in JEI. When you find an alloy-related item, check JEI for this category to see exactly what it turns into.[5]
The Accumulator
The Accumulator is another craftable block, and All the Mods 10 changed its recipe. Its crafting now involves a Golem Steel Nugget, so you'll need some Golem Steel before you can make one. Use the recipe below instead of the one from the original mod.[6]

Starfire and Starfire Birds
Starfire is a key resource, and you don't mine it. You get it by helping Starfire Birds breed: put seeds into their nests and they'll reward you with Starfire.[5]
Once you have some Starfire, you can craft an Acacia Starfire Bird Aviary, which uses Starfire in its recipe.[6]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: eternal_starlight:acacia_starfire_bird_aviary
Starfire also works as a throwable. Throw it at sand and you get Flowglaze, so keep a few pieces around.[5]
World interactions that give you resources
Many of the mod's materials come from interacting with the world instead of from machines. Here are the confirmed ones:[5]
- Stripping Torreya logs can give you Raw Amaramber.[5]
- Stellagmite, found underground, can be melted by lava.[5]
- To get Aurora Deer antlers, enrage an Aurora Deer and make it run into some hard blocks, then collect the antlers.[5]
- Dusted Shard can be found on the ocean floor.[5]
- You get a Tooth of Hunger by killing a Thirst Walker or by blocking its attack.[5]
Golems and helpers
You can build your own golems, much like a vanilla iron golem. Put a Carved Lunaris Cactus Fruit on a Block of Aethersent to summon an Aethersent Golem, or put it on a Grimstone Brick to summon a Grimstone Golem.[5]
Crafting Shaped
9 × Aethersent Ingot

Some mobs can work for you too. You can hire a Stranghoul for one day with a bowl of Pungency Stew. You can tame a Crystallized Moth, which attacks with sound waves, by feeding it enough meat.[5]
Unverified No source covers power, fluid or item transport systems, multiblock structures or automation compatibility for this mod. We also couldn't confirm what the Ether fluid does beyond the fact that you can stand in it.
How do you progress through Eternal Starlight?
6 parts
Your Eternal Starlight journey in this pack starts in the ATM Star chapter with the "Eternal Starlight" quest quest, which asks for a Glimmering Tablet. Hunt down Eternal Starlight Portal Ruins in the Overworld and challenge the Gatekeeper. Beat him and he hands over items that let you enter the portal to a whole new world.[3]
The Orb of Prophecy can be crafted or earned by beating the Gatekeeper. Its main job is activating the portal.[4]
First steps in the Starlight
Right after the entry quest, the ATM Star path points you to the Chain of Souls. It works like a grappling hook: right click to fire a chain that drags you toward the block you hit, and right click again to release. Its range is about 90 blocks.[3]

Pick up Saltpeter Powder early too. Saltpeter shows up anywhere underground and is very common in the Warm Shore biome. You need a Stone Pickaxe to mine it, and Fortune works on it. The powder can replace other niters, and it unlocks the Saltpeter Matchbox, which works like Flint and Steel.[4]
Deepsilver: your go-to metal
Deepsilver Ingot used to be called Swamp Silver and only spawned in Dark Swamps. Now it's found everywhere underground. The "Deepsilver" quest quest opens up a full armor set plus a sword, pickaxe, axe, sickle, hoe, shovel and even a Deepsilver Brush.[4]
You can smelt or blast Raw Deepsilver and every Deepsilver ore variant straight into ingots. The pack has also changed the two Deepsilver alloy recipes, which give you Dimslag as a byproduct alongside the ingot.[6]

Biome materials
Most of the chapter branches out by biome. Each material has its own quest, and the gear quests hang off it.[4]
- Thermal Springstone Ingot comes from Hot Ponds. These aren't a biome or structure, so you just have to explore. Its quests cover a full armor set plus a sword, pickaxe, axe, hoe, shovel, scythe and hammer.[4]
- Malarite now spawns in the Dark Swamps, where Swamp Silver used to be.[4]
- Glacite Shard is found deep underground in Permafrost Forests. Its armor and tools help you against Freezing damage.[4]
- Raw Amaramber drops rarely when you strip Torreya Logs. It becomes ingots for armor and tools, or goes into other recipes like a campfire that gives you regeneration.[4]
- Starlit Diamond spawns far underground everywhere in the Starlight, around Voidstone. It unlocks a full tool and armor set.[4]
- Thioquartz forms when Ether touches Water, but the shards come from Budding Thioquartz. The Alchemist Mask and Alchemist Robe quests follow it.[4]

Amaramber also feeds into a later piece of gear: the Air Sac Mask is crafted from an Amaramber Mask. Its quest follows the Rookfish.[4][6]
Upgrading Glacite into Flowglaze
Flowglaze is a smithing upgrade on top of Glacite. Your Glacite sword, pickaxe, axe, hoe, shovel, scythe and shield all transform into their Flowglaze versions using the Flowglaze upgrade template, and the Flowglaze Bow is a smithing upgrade too. Raw Flowglaze smelts or blasts into Flowglaze.[6]

Materials from the sky
Aethersent Ingot drops from Creteors and from Meteor Showers, and most showers drop a ton of it. Creteors are neutral and have 8 hearts. Hit one and it rolls at you, flashes and eventually explodes, spawning Mini Creteors that fly at you and explode. Kill either kind before it blows up and it drops Aethersent and Creteor Hide.[4]
Once you have finished both the Aethersent and Creteors quests, you unlock the Aethersent Hood, Cape, Bottoms and Boots. The Rage of Stars quest also follows Aethersent.[4]

Starfire is another material for tools and weapons. Its quest comes after one titled "The birds and the... birds?".[4]
Bosses and Golem Steel
The Starlight's bosses live in uncommon structures, so you'll want Seeking Eyes. They work like Ender Eyes: right click to throw one and follow it. The item in your offhand decides which structure it leads you to.[4]
- Golem Forge (underground): hold Redstone, a Golem Steel Ingot or an Oxidized Golem Steel Ingot in your offhand.[4]
- Cursed Garden: hold Vines, Red or Blue Crystal Moss Carpet, Lunar Berries, Cave Moss, or Red or Blue Crystal Roots in your offhand.[4]
Golem Steel is made with the Starlight alloy recipe and builds on your Deepsilver.[6]
Golem Steel unlocks some fun weapons. The Golem Steel Greatsword can block with right click, and every left click sends out 3 lightning balls that are linked by lightning and bounce off blocks. The Energy Boomerang comes back after around 10 blocks or when it hits a block, and it sets any mob it hits on fire.[4]

Unverified The pack's quests don't rank these tiers against each other. How Starfire, Thermal Springstone, Starlit Diamond and Glacite gear compare in strength, and where Raw Flowglaze and Starfire come from, could not be confirmed.
How does Eternal Starlight work with other mods?
4 parts
Eternal Starlight doesn't sit on its own island in All the Mods 10. The pack has added recipes that link it to other mods: a Starlight item is part of a big endgame craft, the dimension's logs work in sawmills from other mods, and its woods can be made into Bibliocraft furniture.[6]
The Dragon Soul
The pack added its own recipe for the Dragon Soul, and Chain of Souls is one of its ingredients. The rest of the recipe uses items from several other mods in the pack, so plan on getting a Chain of Souls from the Starlight when you work toward it.[6]
The Chain of Souls has its own quest in the Eternal Starlight chapter, "Chain of Souls" quest, which you can use to track your progress.[4]

Sawing Starlight logs
The pack added Mekanism sawing recipes for Eternal Starlight's woods. Each log type becomes its matching planks plus Sawdust as a byproduct. This covers all of the following planks.[6]
- Banyin Planks[6]
- Cradlewood Planks[6]
- Jinglestem Planks[6]
- Lunar Planks[6]

Bibliocraft furniture from Starlight wood
If you like decorating, Banyin, Cradlewood, Jinglestem, Lunar, Northland, Scarlet and Torreya wood all have Bibliocraft furniture versions. For each wood there's a black display case, a black seat, and black seat backs in flat, raised, small, tall and fancy styles, such as the Black Lunar Display Case and the Black Torreya Seat. The pack has changed these recipes, so check the in-pack versions below rather than relying on older info.[6]

Saltpeter as a niter substitute
The "Saltpeter Powder" quest quest says Saltpeter Powder can be used as a replacement for other niters. It drops from Saltpeter found underground, which is especially common in the Warm Shore biome.[4]
Unverified Exactly which recipes from other mods accept Saltpeter Powder in place of niter isn't confirmed by the available pack data.
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Eternal Starlight?
5 parts
Eternal Starlight appears in two places in the questbook. One quest in the main ATM Star chapter gets you into the dimension. After that, the dedicated Eternal Starlight chapter walks you through its biomes, ores, gear and bosses.[3][4]
Getting in: Chapter 3: The ATM Star
Your starting point is "Eternal Starlight" quest, which asks for the Glimmering Tablet. Look around the Overworld for Eternal Starlight Portal Ruins and challenge the Gatekeeper. If you win, he gives you items that let you enter the portal to the new dimension.[3]
Next comes "Chain of Souls" quest for the Chain of Souls. It works like a grappling hook: right click to fire a chain that drags you toward the block you hit, and right click again to release. Its range is about 90 blocks.[3]

The Eternal Starlight chapter: first steps
Several quests branch directly off the Eternal Starlight quest: "Saltpeter Powder" quest, "Finding the Bosses" quest, "Deepsilver" quest, "Thermal Springstone" quest and "Starlit Diamond" quest. There is also "Orb of Prophecy" quest. The orb can be crafted or earned by beating the Gatekeeper, and its main job is activating the portal.[4]
Materials and the gear they unlock
- "Deepsilver" quest opens quests for the full Deepsilver armor set and the Deepsilver sword, pickaxe, axe, sickle, hoe, shovel and Deepsilver Brush.[4]
- "Thermal Springstone" quest opens Thermal Springstone armor plus a sword, pickaxe, axe, hoe, shovel, scythe and hammer. You find the material in Hot Ponds.[4]
- "Starlit Diamond" quest opens a full set of Starlit Diamond armor and tools. The diamonds spawn deep underground around Voidstone.[4]
- "Saltpeter Powder" quest leads to "Saltpeter Matchbox" quest, which works like Flint and Steel.[4]
- "Glacite" quest comes after the Permafrost Forest quest and unlocks Glacite armor, tools, a scythe and Glacite Shield.[4]
- "Amaramber" quest comes after the Torreya Forest quest. You get the material by stripping Torreya Logs, and it unlocks Amaramber armor and tools.[4]
- "Malarite" quest comes after the Dark Swamp quest and unlocks the Malarite sword, pickaxe, axe, hoe and shovel.[4]
- "Aethersent" quest leads to "Rage of Stars" quest. Together with "Creteors" quest, it also unlocks the Aethersent armor pieces and "Starfall Longbow" quest.[4]
- "Thioquartz" quest unlocks "Alchemist Mask" quest and "Alchemist Robe" quest.[4]
Biome exploration quests
- Crystallized Desert: "Starlight Crystals" quest, "Dead Lunar Log" quest and "Lunaris Cactus" quest.[4]
- Dark Swamp: "Banyin Trees" quest, plus quests for Nightfall Mud and Lunar Reed. You need a Sickle to collect the reed.[4]
- Ether River: quests for Block of Thioquartz and Ether Bucket. Ether kills like Lava, so be careful.[4]
- Scarlet Forest: "Scarlet Trees" quest and Glowing Mushroom.[4]
- Shimmer River: "River life" quest and Abyssal Fruit.[4]
- Starlight forests: "Lunar Trees" quest and "Lunar Berries" quest.[4]
- Permafrost Forest: Northland Sapling, which must be planted on Dirt in a 2x2.[4]
- The Abyss: "Magma and Geysers" quest and "Velvetumoss and Red version" quest.[4]
- Torreya Forest: "Torreya Trees" quest and "Torreya Vines" quest.[4]
- Starlit Sea: "Coral Blocks" quest, "Orbflora" quest, "Dusted Gravel" quest and Jingling Pickle.[4]
- Spiral Kelp Forest and Lush Shallow Sea: "Spiral Kelp" quest, "Jinglestem Trees?" quest and "Marimold" quest.[4]
Bosses, mobs and golems
"Finding the Bosses" quest introduces the Seeking Eye, which you throw like an Ender Eye. Hold a specific item in your offhand to pick which structure it leads to. "Golem Items" quest lists the items that point to the Golem Forge, and "Monstrosity Items" quest lists the ones that point to the Cursed Garden.[4]
Mob drops get their own quests too: "Shattered Sword" quest, "Creteors" quest, "Aetherstrike Rocket" quest, "Dagger of Hunger" quest, "Aurora Deer Antlers" quest, "Sonar Bomb" quest, "Air Sac Mask" quest, "Air Sac Boots" quest and "Starfire" quest. There are also standalone quests for "Golem Steel Greatsword" quest, "Energy Boomerang" quest and "Underminer" quest.[4]
After "Lunaris Cactus" quest, you can build two golems. "Aethersent Golem" quest shoots down Creteors before they spawn from Meteor Showers. "Grimstone Golem" quest just holds a block or item.[4]
Unverified The chapter listing was cut off, so later quests aren't covered here. These appear to include Starfire and Flowglaze tools and templates, Frozen Tubes, Soulit Spectator and several boss weapons. Their tasks and order couldn't be confirmed.
Which Eternal Starlight config options matter?
Eternal Starlight is a dimension mod that adds the magical, mysterious Starlight dimension. Its project page covers getting there, the bosses and what you can explore, but it doesn't go into config settings.[1]
Unverified This section can't list which config options matter or how All the Mods 10 8.1 sets them, because none of this mod's config files from the pack were available to check. That means no confirmed option names, defaults or pack changes yet. If you want to check for yourself, look in your instance's config folder for this mod's files.
