Powah! is a mod in All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.1.0, where it is version 6.2.10. A tech mod that adds various ways to generate, store and transmit Energy. (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is Powah!?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide

Powah! is a tech mod all about generating, storing and transmitting energy (FE). If your base needs power, this mod has you covered, from basic early-game generators all the way up to multiblock Reactors. This pack runs Powah! version 6.2.10.[1][2][3]

For generating power, you get Furnators that burn solid fuel like coal and wood, Magmators that run on Lava, Solar Panels, Thermo Generators, and the Reactor multiblock that burns Uraninite. Beyond generators, Powah! also gives you Energy Cables and Energy Cells, the upgradable Ender Network, Player Transmitters that charge your items wirelessly, and its own Energizing crafting system.[1][4][5][6]

Where it fits in your progression

  1. The quest chapter starts by asking you to grab some Uraninite.[3]
  2. Next you make Dielectric Paste and then Dielectric Casing, which almost every machine in the mod requires.[3]
  3. Early on, you can get by with Starter and Basic tier machines made using Iron.[3]
  4. To climb higher, you build an Energizing Orb with Energizing Rods on powered Energy Cables. It energizes items into better materials like Energized Steel, Blazing Crystal and Nitro Crystal, which unlock the higher tiers.[3]

The ATM Star path

The ATM Star path runs through this pack's Powah chapter. It covers the opening quests, the Energizing Orb, the tier materials, and the Battery and Player Transmitter lines as they climb through the tiers.[3]

Tip: Powah! comes with an in-game guide split into Generators, Storage / Transfer, Functional Blocks, Items and Materials. It's a great place to check stats for each tier.[1][7]

How do you get started with Powah!?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide

Powah is a tech mod all about generating, storing and moving power, and the questline walks you through it tier by tier. Here's the order to tackle things so you get from zero to a running Energizing Orb without getting stuck.[3]

Step 1: Get some Uraninite

The very first quest, "Welcome to Powah!!!" quest, just asks you to grab some Uraninite. This pack adds its own ways to get it: sieving sand with a Diamond Mesh or Netherite Mesh, energizing regular Uraninite ore, or smelting or blasting uraninite dust.[3][8]

Step 2: Dielectric materials

Next up is "Starting with Dielectric Mats" quest. Almost every machine in Powah needs a Dielectric Casing, so this is your real foundation. Make Dielectric Paste first, plus some Dielectric Rods. This pack changed both Paste recipes and the Casing recipe, so check the versions below rather than what you remember from other packs.[3][8]

Step 3: Your first capacitors

Two small quests come next. "Tier: Basic" quest wants a Basic Capacitor, and "Tier: Tiny" quest wants a Basic Capacitor (Tiny), which you craft from a Basic Capacitor. The pack changed the Basic Capacitor recipe. Finishing the Dielectric quest plus Tier: Tiny unlocks all the Starter machine quests.[3][8]

Step 4: Your first power

Now pick a Starter generator that fits your base:[3]

To move that power around, craft some Energy Cable (Starter). The pack changed this recipe too.[3][8]

Tip: The Reactor (Starter) is also on the Starter tier, but it's a bigger project. It's a 3x4x3 multiblock, and you need 36 Reactor blocks in your hand to place it. Clear out some room first![3][6]

Step 5: The Energizing Orb

Early on, you can build Starter and Basic machines with iron. To go further you need energized materials, and that's what the Energizing Orb is for. "The Energizing Orb" quest asks for the Orb, a Starter or Basic cable, and a Starter or Basic Energizing Rod.[3]

The Orb itself doesn't need power. Instead, it uses Energizing Rods within a 9x9 area around it, and those rods have to sit on cables or another energy block that is supplied with power.[3][11]

To energize faster, add more rods, upgrade to higher-tier rods, or both. To check that a rod is connected, set your Wrench to link mode and link the rod to the Orb.[3][11][12]

Once the Orb quest is done, the Energized, Blazing, Niotic, Spirited and Nitro tier quests open up. "Tier: Energized" quest and its Energized Steel is the natural next goal.[3]

Tip: This pack changed the block-sized energizing recipe for Block Of Energized Steel, so you can energize whole storage blocks at once.[8]

How does Powah! work?

7 parts

Powah! is built around Forge Energy (FE): you generate it, store it, move it around and then spend it on charging items and energizing. Almost every machine comes in the same seven tiers: Starter, Basic, Hardened, Blazing, Niotic, Spirited and Nitro. Higher tiers are the stronger versions of the same block.[1][4]

Generators

  • Furnator: burns solid furnace fuel like coal or wood to make FE. Higher tiers generate more FE/t and burn the fuel faster, with the same energy gained per fuel tick.[4]
  • Magmator: burns high temperature fluids like lava. It scales with tier the same way as the Furnator.[5]
  • Solar Panel: generates energy in sunlight. Any block that stops light above the panel stops its production.[10]
  • Thermo Generator: generates energy when placed on top of a high temperature block or fluid like lava, and it needs a coolant fluid like water to run.[9]
Tip: Is a roof blocking your Solar Panel? Apply a Lens Of Ender and the panel can see through blocks. You get the lens by using a Photoelectric Pane on an Enderman or Endermite.[13][14]

Fuels, heat and coolants in this pack

The Magmator reads its fuels from a data map. In the mod's own data, lava gives an energy_produced value of 10,000. The pack's data file adds molten blaze (45,000) and soul lava (90,000), so those are worth hunting down.[15][16]

The Thermo Generator uses heat sources and coolants. Magma blocks have a temperature of 800 and a Block Of Blazing Crystal (Block Of Blazing Crystal) has 2800. Lava fluid has 1000, and the pack adds soul lava at 9000. Water is the listed coolant fluid, with a temperature of 0.[17][18][19]

If you use JEI, the categories Heat Sources, Magmatic Fluids, Coolants, Solid Coolants and Reactor Fuels show all of this in game.[14]

The Reactor multiblock

The Reactor is a multiblock generator that uses Uraninite as its main fuel. To build it, hold 36 Reactor blocks and place them in a 3X4 replaceable area. The reactor then finishes building itself. If you come up short, the game tells you how many more blocks you need.[6][14]

The mod's data lists Uraninite as the reactor fuel, with a fuelAmount of 100 and a temperature of 700. Dry Ice is used mainly to cool reactors. You can find it underground below level 64, or get it by energizing two pieces of blue ice.[20][21]

Solid coolants have an amount and a temperature. These are the values in the mod's data:[22]

  • Dry Ice: amount 712, temperature -32.[22]
  • Blue ice: amount 568, temperature -17.[22]
  • Packed ice: amount 192, temperature -8.[22]
  • Ice and snow blocks: amount 48 each, temperatures -5 and -3.[22]
  • Snowball: amount 12, temperature -3.[22]

The reactor also has a generation mode. It stops when it is full and starts again when it has less than 70% of its energy.[14]

Moving power: cables and the Wrench

Energy Cables move power between machines. The Wrench has three modes: Config changes a cable's I/O configuration, Link links linkable blocks like the Energizing Orb and its rods, and Rotate turns blocks horizontally. To change a cable's transfer mode, right-click it with the Wrench in Config mode.[12][23]

The pack changes this Basic cable recipe.

Storing power

Energy Cells simply store FE. Batteries charge items while they sit in your inventory. Both can also upgrade the Ender Network: shift-click one onto an Ender Cell GUI to add capacity to a channel, and any energy inside is applied to the channel too.[24][25]

An Ender Cell stores energy in a specific channel of its owner's ender network. You can reach a selected channel from anywhere in the world, as long as the cell you transfer from or to has an active channel with a valid capacity. An Ender Gate moves energy between the adjacent block and the ender network, but unlike the cell it cannot upgrade the network.[26][27]

The pack changes the Battery recipes. Each battery tier is crafted with a Dielectric Paste (Dielectric Paste). Here is the Basic one (Battery (Basic)):[28]

Charging items

  • Energy Hopper: charges chargeable items inside an adjacent inventory, like a chest.[29]
  • Energy Discharger: drains FE out of charged items into an internal buffer. Connect cables to pull that stored power out and reuse it.[30]
  • Player Transmitter: charges items wirelessly in a linked player's inventory, including armor slots and the off-hand.[31]

A Player Transmitter works anywhere in the same dimension with a normal Binding Card (Binding Card), and across dimensions with a dimensional Binding Card. Right-click the card to bind it to yourself before you put it in the transmitter. A card that is already bound will refuse to bind again.[14][31][32][33]

The Player Transmitter is crafted with a Player Aerial Pearl. You get one by using an Aerial Pearl on a Zombie or Husk. The dimensional card comes from using a Binding Card on an Enderman or Endermite.[14][34]

Energizing

The Energizing Orb turns items into other items. It needs at least one Energizing Rod within a 9X9 range. More rods and higher rod tiers (I/O rate) mean faster energizing. The orb needs no energy itself, but the rods must sit on cables or another FE block to get power. Use the Wrench in Link mode to link the orb and its rods.[11][12]

Energizing recipes in the pack's KubeJS schema have a result, an energy amount and a list of ingredients. Two good examples are the Charged Snowball, made by energizing a snowball, and Dry Ice, made from two blue ice. A thrown Charged Snowball spawns a lightning bolt where it lands or hits a mob.[21][35][36]

Unverified The exact capacity, Max I/O and FE/t numbers for each tier are not confirmed in the sources used here. Check the in-game Manual (Powah!) for the pack's values.

How do you progress through Powah!?

4 parts

The Powah quests sit in the Powah chapter of the Technology group (chapter 26 of 54 in the book, with 108 quests). The machines come in seven tiers: Starter, Basic, Hardened, Blazing, Niotic, Spirited and Nitro. The quest chain climbs through them one at a time.[37]

Getting started

  1. "Welcome to Powah!!!" quest asks for Uraninite, which is also the Reactor's fuel.[6][37]
  2. "Starting with Dielectric Mats" quest wants Dielectric Paste and Dielectric Casing. The quest says almost every machine in the mod needs a Dielectric Casing.[37]
  3. "Tier: Tiny" quest and "Tier: Basic" quest ask for Basic Capacitor (Tiny) and Basic Capacitor. They open up the Starter and Basic machine quests.[37]
  4. "The Energizing Orb" quest is the big gate. It asks for the Energizing Orb, an energy cable and an energizing rod.[37]

The Orb energizes items using Energizing Rods within a 9x9 area around it. The rods must sit on cables or another Forge Energy block to work, and the Orb itself needs no energy. More rods or higher tier rods mean faster energizing. Set your wrench to link mode to check that a rod is connected to the Orb.[11][37]

Climbing the tiers

The quest text says you can get by with Starter and Basic machines made from iron. The pack changed several of those early recipes, such as Basic Capacitor, Battery (Starter) and Energy Cable (Starter).[28][37]

Once you have the Orb, five tier material quests open, all placed right after "The Energizing Orb" quest. Each unlocks the machine quests for its tier:[37]

Inside each machine line, the quests chain upward. For example, the Hardened, Blazing, Niotic, Spirited and Nitro batteries each come after the previous tier's battery, starting from Battery (Starter). Here is the Hardened step:[37]

Tip: A Thermo Generator can sit over a Magma block (lowest output), a lava source block (a little better) or a Block Of Blazing Crystal (the most heat). It also needs a steady supply of water.[37]

Reactors

The Reactor is the top of the power ladder. The first quest says Reactors produce 250k FE/t. It is a 3x4x3 multiblock that burns Uraninite and needs 36 Reactor Blocks. Hold all 36 and place one block, and it builds itself, so clear some room first. Cooling raises the FE output. You can also keep the fuel buffer full and add Coal and Redstone.[6][37]

The Reactor quests chain from "Reactor (Starter)" quest through "Reactor (Basic)" quest, "Reactor (Hardened)" quest, "Reactor (Blazing)" quest, "Reactor (Niotic)" quest and "Reactor (Spirited)" quest to "Reactor (Nitro)" quest.[37]

Where it sits in the quest book

In the Basic Power chapter (group The Basics, chapter 9 of 54), "More Powah!" quest comes after "Mid Game Power Options" quest and points you to the Powah chapter. "End Game Power Options" quest suggests scaling up your Reactors and upgrading Thermo Generators to Nitro.[38]

On the ATM Star path, the Powah chapter's quests cover the Dielectric, Orb and tier material steps, plus the Player Transmitter and Battery lines from Starter to Nitro. Chapter 4: The ATM Star then has a quest for Battery (Nitro) after the Nitro battery quest, with the note that these batteries need to be fully charged. The rest of that chapter's text is in the quest book.[37][39]

At the very end, the pack adds a recipe for the Energy Cell (Creative). It uses an Energy Cell (Nitro) together with the ATM Star. The Creative Items chapter has a matching quest after "Beginning Of The End" quest.[28][40]

How does Powah! work with other mods?

5 parts

Powah! doesn't live on its own in this pack. Most of its links to other mods come from recipes the pack added or changed. They give you extra ways to get Uraninite and crystals, let Powah blocks feed into other mods, and put Powah's Nitro-tier gear to work in late-game recipes.[28]

Crystals and Productive Bees

The pack changed the Productive Bees centrifuge recipes for the Powah honeycombs. Each one gives you Wax plus one Powah material: Blazing Crystal, Niotic Crystal, Nitro Crystal, Spirited Crystal, Energized Steel or Raw Uraninite.[28]

Going the other way, the pack also changed the Energizing recipes that turn a configurable bee into a spawn egg for the Blazing, Energized Steel, Niotic, Nitro and Spirited bees. Here is the Nitro one as an example.[28]

In the quest book, the materials from this section have their own quests, all unlocked after "The Energizing Orb" quest: "Tier: Spirited" quest, "Tier: Nitro" quest, "Tier: Blazing" quest and "Tier: Energized" quest. They sit in the "Powah" chapter of the Technology group.[37]

Compressed blocks and Blazing Crystal

All the Compressed has 1x versions of the Powah blocks for Blazing Crystal, Energized Steel, Niotic Crystal, Nitro Crystal, Spirited Crystal and Uraninite. The pack changed both the compress and the decompress recipe for each of them, so you can go back and forth freely.[28]

The pack also changed the Energizing recipe that makes Block Of Blazing Crystal from an Blaze Rod Block. That block matters for the Thermo Generator: Powah's heat data rates it at 2,800 against 800 for a Magma Block, and the Thermo Generator quest says that of the 3 blocks you can currently place it over, the Block of Blazing Crystal provides the most heat.[17][28][37]

Fuels from other mods

The pack ships its own fluid data for Powah. For Thermo Generators, it keeps lava at a temperature of 1,000 and adds Allthemodium soul lava at 9,000. For Magmators, the pack's data lists Productive Metalworks molten blaze at 45,000 energy produced and Allthemodium soul lava at 90,000. For comparison, Powah's own data gives lava 10,000.[15][16][18][41]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Powah!?

3 parts

As the quest book currently stands in this pack, Powah shows up in several quest chapters. The main one is the Powah chapter itself, which sits in the Technology group as chapter 26 of 54 in the book and has 108 quests. The other chapters just touch Powah, so here they are in the order you'll meet them.[37]

The Powah chapter

Tier quests and machine lines

In the current quest book, five tier quests unlock after The Energizing Orb, each asking for a material: "Tier: Energized" quest (Energized Steel), "Tier: Blazing" quest (Blazing Crystal), "Tier: Niotic" quest (Niotic Crystal), "Tier: Spirited" quest (Spirited Crystal) and "Tier: Nitro" quest (Nitro Crystal).[37]

After that, as the quest book currently has it, each machine has its own line of quests, one per tier. The Basic versions follow Tier: Basic plus the Starter version. The Hardened versions follow Tier: Energized, and the Blazing ones follow Tier: Blazing. Most Niotic and Spirited quests follow the previous tier's version of the same machine, and the Nitro ones also list Tier: Nitro. The Magmator, Furnator, Thermo Generator, Solar Panel, Energy Cell, Battery, Energy Hopper, Energy Cable, Energizing Rod, Player Transmitter and Ender Gate lines all work like this.[37]

In the current quest book, the Reactor line is the one with proper titles: "Reactor (Starter)" quest, "Reactor (Basic)" quest, "Reactor (Hardened)" quest, "Reactor (Blazing)" quest, "Reactor (Niotic)" quest, "Reactor (Spirited)" quest and "Reactor (Nitro)" quest. Each one follows the previous Reactor quest. The Starter quest describes a 3x4x3 multiblock that needs 36 Reactor Blocks, and it auto-builds when you place one block while holding 36.[37]

22 of the Powah quests are marked as part of the ATM Star path. They are the intro, Orb and tier quests, plus the Battery and Player Transmitter lines up to Nitro.[37]

Which Powah! config options matter?

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide

Powah! runs on Cloth Config, so it has a config system that packs can tweak. For the in-game side of things, like how the generators, cables, cells and Energizing work, the mod's built-in Manual is the best place to look.[1]

Unverified This pack's Powah! config files weren't available, so this section can't confirm which options the pack changes or what values it uses. That includes generation rates, cable and cell capacities, and Reactor settings. Treat any numbers you see elsewhere as mod defaults that may not match this pack until they're confirmed.

What changed in Powah! between versions?

1 part

All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.6 ships with Powah! 6.2.10. The mod was first included in the pack in 1.0 or earlier. Below are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs for the three releases I have notes on.[43]

Mod changelog highlights

  • 6.2.6: GuideME became a required dependency (this fixed issue #253).[44]
  • 6.2.8: A texture update, contributed by SammySemicolon in their first contribution to the mod.[45]
  • 6.2.10: A default block state is now registered for all blocks, which fixes issue #286. This is the version the pack currently includes.[43][46]

The changelogs I have don't mention any changes to recipes, balance or config values, so nothing here tells you the pack's numbers differ from the mod's defaults. I also have no pack changelog entries for this mod.[44][45][46]
