  • Allthemodium: farming Piglich Hearts
    In All the Mods 10 8.2 the pack tags the Piglich as a boss, and that tag is written directly into twelve blacklists across nine other mods, so the Mob Duplicator, the Mob Swab, the Soul Vial and the spawners all refuse it, mostly without saying anything. Drygmys take hearts off a jarred Piglich without killing it, Mob Crushers and ordinary kill chambers still work, and Hostile Neural Networks pays off only after 98 kills of your own.

  • Allthemodium: no Piglichs in the Ancient Pyramid
    A Piglich is never placed when the Ancient Pyramid generates and never comes from a spawner. It is an ordinary monster that natural spawning rolls inside the pyramid's own pieces, so it can only appear more than 24 blocks from every player, and it despawns when nobody is within 128. Waiting in the middle of the pyramid is the worst place you can be.

  • A quarry deletes Allthemodium ore and nothing drops
    In All the Mods 10 8.2, Allthemodium's own break rule deletes Allthemodium ore when a Mekanism Digital Miner or an empty hand breaks it, and nothing drops. Create's drill, FTB Ultimine and Mining Gadgets 1.18.8 refuse the block, so the ore stays. The Modern Industrialization quarry is a recipe and never breaks the block.

  • Where Allthemodium ore generates
    In All the Mods 10 8.2, Allthemodium ore generates in three places, all of them low: the Deep Dark biome, on cave ceilings from the world floor up to Y 10; the Mining Dimension between Y 65 and Y 129, one vein a chunk; and the deepslate of The Other, from that dimension's floor up to about Y 8. The in-game book is wrong about the mountains above Y 170 and about Y -59 to 20 in the Mining Dimension. The Deep Dark is denser than the Mining Dimension only. The Other uses the same placement as the Deep Dark.

What is AllTheModium?

AllTheModium adds three rare metals, Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium, along with smithing templates, armor and tools made from them. It was made by the ATM team and thevortexFoxTopia. This pack ships version 3.0.1. It's an endgame-leaning mod, so expect it to take you through the Nether, the End and a couple of extra dimensions.[1][2][3]

What you get

  • Tools and armor that upgrade from Netherite. The tools are indestructible, and the quest book says they're faster than Netherite too.[3][4]
  • Armor perks beyond the stats, including water breathing, no fall damage, fire immunity and no crash damage when flying with an Elytra.[5]
  • Food items like the Allthemodium Apple and Allthemodium Carrot, which give Regeneration and Absorption.[3][6][7]
  • Extra dimensions reached with the Teleport Pad: The Mining Dimension from the Overworld, and The Other from the Nether. The Other is very hostile and full of dungeons and loot.[8][9][10]

Where it fits in the pack

The pack builds a questline around this mod. In "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" quest you start by sieving for Allthemodium Nugget, which you turn into an Allthemodium Ingot. That ingot unlocks the Allthemodium Smithing Template, and with it your upgraded gear.[3]

Next comes Vibranium Ingot, which the quest book has you make in the Ender Crafter, then the Vibranium template. The quest book says you need a Vibranium Pickaxe, or equivalent, to mine Unobtainium after you've reached The End, and that gets you the Unobtainium Ingot.[3]

This is also the ATM Star path. Chapter 4: The ATM Star has a quest for each of Block of Allthemodium, Block of Vibranium and Block of Unobtainium, each unlocked after the matching metal quest above.[11]

Tip: The metals are also found as very rare ores in the world, so the quest path isn't the only route. The mod's own ore guide lists Allthemodium in the Deep Dark, Vibranium in the Nether above Y 64, and Unobtainium in the End Highlands under Y 78.[12][13][14][15]

How do you get started with AllTheModium?

Welcome to AllTheModium in this pack! Everything here starts with one humble item, and the order below follows the pack's own quest chapter, "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" quest.[3]

Step 1: Get AllTheModium Nuggets by sieving

Your first goal is the Allthemodium Nugget. In this pack you get it from sieving. You need either a Diamond Mesh or a Netherite Mesh, and Netherite gives higher chances. You can sieve Crushed Blackstone or Sand, but Blackstone has the better chance of dropping AllTheModium.[3]

Step 2: Craft an Ingot

It takes 9 nuggets to make 1 Allthemodium Ingot. On its own the ingot doesn't do much, but the rest of the chain depends on it. This is the next quest in the chapter, "AllTheModium" quest.[3]

Ingots can also be packed into a Block of Allthemodium. You'll want one, because the quest says a block is what you use to make your first AllTheModium Smithing Template.[3][16]

Step 3: Get the Smithing Template

The Allthemodium Smithing Template is what unlocks all the gear, and it has its own quest, "AllTheModium Upgrade Template" quest. You only make the first one from a Block of AllTheModium. After that you can duplicate it, and the pack changed that duplication recipe.[3][16]

Step 4: Upgrade your Netherite gear

With the template and an ingot you upgrade Netherite gear into AllTheModium gear. The tools are faster and stronger than Netherite, and they have no durability at all. The Allthemodium Pickaxe is the standout, since it can mine blocks that Netherite and below can't. The shovel and hoe are just faster and unbreakable.[3][16][17]

The other AllTheModium tools and armor pieces use the same kind of smithing recipe.

Armor works the same way. The full AllTheModium set has 24 Armor Points, 20 Armor Toughness and 50% Knockback Resistance. It is unbreakable too, and it needs Netherite armor as the base.[3][18]

Optional: snacks

If you'd rather spend nuggets on food than gear, the Allthemodium Carrot and Allthemodium Apple both give Regeneration and Absorption. The quest for them is "AllTheModium Food?" quest.[3]

The carrot is the bigger meal of the two.

Tip: Once you have AllTheModium gear, the next metal is Vibranium. You'll need a Vibranium Pickaxe (or equivalent) later to mine Unobtainium Ore, so plan your upgrades around that.[3]

How does AllTheModium work?

The sources for this mod describe materials, crafting, smithing upgrades and dimension travel. They don't describe machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation, so this section covers the mechanics they do show.[1][16][17]

You don't need a machine to get Allthemodium Dust from Raw Allthemodium Ore. Both recipes below are crafting-grid recipes, and the second one gives Ancient Chiseled Stone Bricks.[16]

The mod's language file also lists clean and dirty slurries for Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium.[17]

Smithing upgrades

The metals form an upgrade ladder done with smithing templates. Each step has its own template and takes the previous tier's gear as the base.[1][17]

  1. Allthemodium upgrade: the base is Netherite armor, a weapon or a tool, and the addition is an Allthemodium Ingot.[17]
  2. Vibranium upgrade: the base is Allthemodium armor, a weapon or a tool.[17]
  3. Unobtainium upgrade: the base is Vibranium armor, a weapon or a tool, and the addition is an Unobtainium Ingot.[17]

If you upgrade armour from Netherite, it keeps its enchantments. Allthemodium armour also gives water breathing, no crash damage when flying with an elytra, fire immunity and no fall damage. Allthemodium's built-in tools are all indestructible.[4][5]

The Modrinth Q&A says Allthemodium templates are found in suspicious clay in the Ancient City, Vibranium templates in suspicious soul sand at a Bastion Remnant, and Unobtainium templates in dungeon library rooms in The Other. That is the mod author's description.[1]

The Teleport Pad

The Teleport Pad is how you reach the mod's dimensions. Sneak and right-click it with both hands empty. Use the pad in the Overworld to reach the Mining Dimension, and the pad in the Nether to reach The Other.[8][9][10][17]

The Mining Dimension is a superflat dimension, which makes it handy for quarries and as a testing area. Allthemodium ore is found everywhere there between Y -59 and Y 20. The Other is described as very hostile, with huge underground cities, dungeons and ancient pyramids.[8][9][13]

Food

Allthemodium Apple gives 20 hunger and 80 saturation. Allthemodium Carrot gives 40 hunger and 320 saturation. Both are fast to eat and can always be eaten, and both give Absorption X and Regeneration X for 30 seconds.[6][7]

How do you progress through AllTheModium?

Allthemodium progression in this pack is a three-step ladder: Allthemodium, then Vibranium, then Unobtainium. Each tier's gear is smithed from the previous tier's gear, so you can't skip a rung. The pack's Chapter 3 quests walk you through it in order.[3][16][18]

Tier 1: Allthemodium

Your first Allthemodium Nugget comes from sieving. Use a Diamond Mesh or a Netherite Mesh (Netherite gives better chances) on Crushed Blackstone or Sand. Blackstone has the higher chance of dropping Allthemodium. 9 nuggets make 1 ingot, which is the next Chapter 3 quest: "AllTheModium" quest.[3]

Allthemodium gear is a smithing upgrade of Netherite gear. You combine the Netherite piece, an Allthemodium Ingot and the template. The mace is the exception: it needs a Block of Allthemodium instead of an ingot. Here is the pickaxe as an example:[3][16]

The tools have no durability at all, and the armor is unbreakable too. When you upgrade armor from Netherite it keeps its enchantments.[3][4][5]

The Basic Tools quests also place Allthemodium Ore at harvest Tier 5. Tier 6 is the top tier and can mine anything breakable, including Vibranium and Unobtainium.[19]

Tier 2: Vibranium

You make Vibranium Ingot at the Ender Crafter. The setup is built around a Crystaltine Ingot in the middle slot, surrounded by GeOre Shards, and the quest lists which shards.[3]

Your first Vibranium Smithing Template needs a Block of Vibranium, per the quest. Every template after that is a duplicate made with Ancient Stone:[3]

Ancient Stone comes from a Stone Generator running on Soul Lava, which you collect as a Soul Lava Bucket. The quest puts Soul Lava and Packed Ice on the generator's sides with an Allthemodium Block underneath. A cheaper option is Blue Ice with an Oxidized Copper Block below.[3]

Vibranium gear is smithed from the matching Allthemodium piece, not from Netherite. The Vibranium Mace needs a Block of Vibranium and the Allthemodium Mace.[16]

Tip: Make a Vibranium Pickaxe early. The quests say it is what you need to mine Unobtainium Ore, and the Unobtainium quest also accepts an equivalent pickaxe.[3]

Tier 3: Unobtainium

Mine the ore with your Vibranium Pickaxe and ore-process it for the best yield. In the quest book, the Unobtainium quest comes after The End and the Vibranium tools quest. Your first Unobtainium Smithing Template needs a Block of Unobtainium, per the quest. You can then duplicate it with End Stone:[3][16]

Unobtainium gear is smithed from the matching Vibranium piece. The Unobtainium Mace needs a Block of Unobtainium and the Vibranium Mace.[16]

Watch out: You must climb every rung. Vibranium armor needs Allthemodium armor, and Unobtainium armor needs Vibranium armor.[16][18]

Stats by tier

These are the numbers the pack's quests give for each tier:[3]

  • Allthemodium: the sword does 18 damage at 2.6 attack speed, the axe 22 damage at 0.8, and the mace 13 damage at 19. The armor has 24 armor points, 20 toughness and 50% knockback resistance, and the chestplate adds 50% magic damage resistance.[3]
  • Vibranium: the sword does 36 damage at 3.6 attack speed. The axe does 38 damage with 16 mining speed, and the mace does 26 damage at 20. The armor has 32 armor points, 36 toughness, 80% knockback resistance and 75% magic damage resistance.[3]
  • Unobtainium: the sword does 51 damage at 4.4 attack speed. The axe does 51 damage at 1.2 with 18 mining speed, and the mace does 36 damage at 22. The armor has 40 armor points, 60 toughness, 100% knockback resistance and 90% magic damage resistance.[3]

How does AllTheModium work with other mods?

AllTheModium is not a standalone mod in this pack. Its three metals, Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium, show up in recipes from a lot of other mods, and many of those recipes were changed or added by the pack. Here's where the connections are.[16]

Mekanism ore processing

All three metals plug into Mekanism's ore processing, using pack-modified recipes. Liquid Oxygen purifies ores, raw ore, raw blocks or shards into clumps. Liquid Hydrogen Chloride injects ores, raw ore, raw blocks or crystals into shards. Liquid Sulfuric Acid dissolves ores, raw ore or raw blocks into dirty slurry.[16]

The Unobtainium quest ("Unobtainium" quest) even reminds you to ore process it so you get the most out of every ore.[3]

Getting Allthemodium from Ex Deorum sieving

The pack adds sieve recipes that give you an Allthemodium Nugget from either a Diamond Mesh or a Netherite Mesh. You sieve Crushed Blackstone or Sand with them. The chapter's first quest, "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" quest, says you need 9 nuggets to make 1 ingot.[3][16]

Tip: Netherite Mesh gives higher chances than Diamond Mesh, and Crushed Blackstone has better odds of dropping Allthemodium than sand.[3]

Endgame crafting: ATM Star and creative items

The ATM Star is a pack-added Extended Crafting table recipe. It needs a block of each of the three metals alongside other ATM items and an Ultimate Singularity.[16]

Unobtainium also shows up in several creative-tier recipes, all added by the pack. Mekanism's Creative Chemical Tank, Creative Energy Cube and Creative Fluid Tank use it, and so do the creative capacitor, energy cell, jetpack and thruster from Iron Jetpacks.[16]

The Soul Lava quest ("Soul Lava" quest) says you can use the bucket as a heat source for Crucibles or Thermo Generators, or toss it into a Magmator. The Ancient Stone quest ("Ancient Stone" quest) says you make that stone with Soul Lava in a Stone Generator, with an AllTheModium Block underneath.[3]

Most of the AllTheModium content lives in Chapter 3, which walks you from your first nugget up through Vibranium and Unobtainium. A handful of other chapters touch the mod too, mostly with quick check-off quests. Here is the whole picture, in order.[3]

Chapter 3: the main path

  1. "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" quest asks for an Allthemodium Nugget. You get your first nuggets by sieving Crushed Blackstone or Sand with a Diamond Mesh or Netherite Mesh. Netherite gives better chances, and Blackstone beats Sand.[3]
  2. "AllTheModium" quest asks for an Allthemodium Ingot. The quest also points you toward automating it with a Foundry and an Ancient Bee.[3]

The AllTheModium ones all unlock after the AllTheModium upgrade template quest: a quest in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" for the shovel, pickaxe or hoe, a quest in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" for the sword, axe or mace, and "AllTheModium Armor" quest for the full armor set. The quest text says this tier is unbreakable and that the armor gives 24 Armor Points.[3]

The Vibranium tier follows the same pattern with a quest in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" for weapons, "Vibranium Armor" quest for armor (32 Armor Points) and the tools quest mentioned above. The Unobtainium tier has a quest in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" for tools, a quest in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" for weapons and "Unobtainium Armor" quest for armor (40 Armor Points).[3]

Food, Soul Lava and Ancient Stone

"AllTheModium Food?" quest asks for the Allthemodium Carrot and the Allthemodium Apple. According to the quest, the carrot restores 20 food points and 160 saturation, while the apple gives 10 hunger points and 40 saturation plus Regeneration and Absorption.[3]

"Soul Lava" quest asks for a Soul Lava Bucket and comes after the quests about making Soul Lava in the VAT. "Ancient Stone" quest then asks for Ancient Stone, which you make with Soul Lava and a Stone Generator. The Vibranium template quest mentions Ancient Stone for duplicating templates.[3]
