What is KubeJS?

1 part

In this pack, KubeJS is the source of a family of custom Infinity Cells. Every cell item in the quest book lives in the kubejs namespace.[1][2]

The quest book sums them up as "The Sink but in cell form". ExtendedAE offers the Infinity Cell type, which gives a limitless supply of one resource, such as Water, Cobblestone or Lava. The quest lists the kubejs cells alongside the ExtendedAE water and cobblestone ones, for example Lava Cell, Dirt Cell and Sky Stone Cell.[2]

That main quest is "More Resources than you ever need: Infinity Cells" quest, in the Extended & Advanced AE chapter. It sits after another quest in that same chapter.[2]

Where the cells show up in the quest book

More quests in Chapter 3: AllTheModium cover the cells too. They all come after the Infinity ME Cells quest, and each one handles a group of cells.[3]

How do you get started with KubeJS?

1 part

KubeJS is the scripting mod behind this pack's custom content. In this pack, the KubeJS items you can make are a family of cells, and each one has a shaped crafting recipe added by the pack. This section walks through them in a sensible order.[4]

ExtendedAE has a cell type called the Infinity Cell, which gives you a limitless supply of one resource. The quest "More Resources than you ever need: Infinity Cells" quest introduces it and lists many of the KubeJS cells as its tasks. The Chapter 3 quests for sieve blocks, dyes, building stones and extras each come after a quest called Infinity ME Cells.[2][3]

What to make first, and why

The sources don't set one fixed order, so this one follows what each quest says and which recipes build on others. Every recipe block below shows the exact in-pack version.[2][3][4]

  1. Start with the sieve block cells from a quest in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium". The quest calls these every Sieve Block. Moss and Red Sand use 5x Compressed blocks, and everything else in that quest uses 6x Compressed. The Dirt Cell is one of them.[3]
  2. Make the Sand Cell before the Dust Cell, because the dust cell recipe uses the sand cell as an input.[4]
  3. Make the Infinity Cobblestone Cell from ExtendedAE before the Gravel Cell, because the gravel cell recipe uses it as an input.[4]
  4. Move on to the stones from a quest in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium". The quest says these aren't related to sieving and are very helpful if you plan to build out of them. They use 5x Compressed, except Basalt, which uses 6x.[3]
  5. Finish with the extras and the dyes. "Infinite ETC Blocks" quest covers Clay, Kivi, Sky Stone and Ancient Stone, all at 5x Compressed. "Infinite Dyes" quest covers all 16 vanilla dyes, and each one needs 6x Compressed Concrete of the same color.[3]

Tip: Before you commit to a cell, open its recipe and check which compressed block it needs. The quests give 5x or 6x depending on the cell, so plan your compressed blocks ahead.[3][4]

How does KubeJS work?

3 parts

This section is short, and here is why. For KubeJS in this pack, the only thing the available data shows is the recipes and items the pack adds through it. Nothing I was given explains machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation for the mod itself, so I won't guess at those.[4]

What the pack does with KubeJS

In this pack, KubeJS adds custom crafting recipes and custom items under the kubejs namespace. The recipe dump marks them as added by the pack, so they are pack-specific and not mod defaults.[4]

The Universal Press

The Universal Press can be made in several ways, and every recipe for it is added by the pack: a shaped crafting recipe, a circuit cutter recipe, and an inscriber recipe.[4]

KubeJS cells

The pack also adds a family of cell items through KubeJS. The recipes I can see are all shaped crafting recipes added by the pack, each with its own recipe ID in the kubejs namespace. These are the cells I can confirm:[4]

Here is one of them as an example, so you can see the in-pack recipe:[4]

Tip: The recipe dump only shows part of the list: 29 more recipes are not displayed. There may be more KubeJS items than the ones above.[4]

How do you progress through KubeJS?

3 parts

The KubeJS items in this pack are Infinity Cells. These are ExtendedAE-style cells that give you a limitless supply of one resource, and each one is crafted with a recipe the pack adds. There's no long tech tree to climb here. The progression is about which resource you want, and how deep into compressed blocks you have to go to get it.[2][4]

Where the cells show up in the quests

The starting point is "More Resources than you ever need: Infinity Cells" quest in the Extended & Advanced AE chapter. It introduces the Infinity Cell as a new type of cell that provides a limitless supply of a certain type of resource, and it's described as the Sink in cell form. Its task list covers lava, the stones, the sieve materials, clay, sky stone, kivi, ancient stone and several dye cells.[2]

The rest of the cells are handed out by quests in Chapter 3: AllTheModium, all unlocked after the Infinity ME Cells quest. Each one groups cells by what they're for.[3]

The tiers: 5x or 6x compressed

The tier of a cell comes from the compressed block its recipe needs. In this pack that's either a 5x or a 6x compressed block of the resource, depending on the cell. Here's how the Chapter 3 quests break down.[3][4]

Watch out: The dye cells only cover the 16 vanilla dyes. Dyenamics dyes aren't included, so you'll have to craft those the normal way.[3]

The Lava Cell is the odd one out. Its recipe is built around a 3x compressed block of blazing crystal instead of a 5x or 6x block.[4]

What the recipes ask for

The cell recipes are shaped crafting recipes added by the pack. Every one in the recipe list asks for allthemodium, unobtainium and vibranium ingots, which fits with the cells sitting in the AllTheModium chapter. Most of them also need a 256M MEGA storage component. The exceptions are the gravel, sand and dust cells.[3][4]

Those three form a chain, where each cell is built from another cell. The gravel cell starts from an Infinity Cobblestone Cell, the sand cell uses the gravel cell, and the dust cell uses the sand cell. Each of them also needs a Crusher. So set up the cobblestone cell first if you want the sieve materials.[4]

How does KubeJS work with other mods?

4 parts

In this pack, KubeJS is the glue that ties other mods together. Every recipe below is marked as added by the pack, so you won't find them in the mods' defaults. They mostly connect the Applied Energistics 2 family with Allthemodium, compressed blocks, Mekanism and Occultism.[4]

Universal Press: one press for every AE circuit

The pack adds Universal Press, a single press that the Inscriber uses for printed circuits from several different mods. You craft it from the four AE2 inscriber presses plus a few extra materials.[4]

After that, the pack's inscriber recipes use it for the printed circuits of AE2, MEGA Cells, Applied Flux, Advanced AE and ExtendedAE. That covers Printed Silicon, Printed Calculation Circuit, Printed Engineering Circuit, Printed Logic Circuit, Printed Accumulation Circuit, Printed Energy Circuit, Printed Quantum Circuit and Printed Concurrent Circuit.[4]

The Universal Press is also part of how you make the Circuit Slicer, through a pack-added Crystal Assembler recipe.[4]

Infinity cells

The biggest KubeJS addition is a large set of infinity cells, such as Dirt Cell, Sand Cell, Sky Stone Cell and White Cell. The recipes pull in several mods: AE2 Quartz Glass, Allthemodium, Unobtainium and Vibranium ingots, and a compressed block from AllTheCompressed. Most also use the 256M MEGA Storage Component.[4]

Three cells are different. The gravel, sand and dust cells don't use the MEGA component. Instead they use the Mekanism Crusher and sit in a chain, so you build them in order.[4]

Starts the chain and builds on ExtendedAE's infinity cobblestone cell.

The compressed block you need depends on the cell. The quests say Moss and Red Sand use 5x Compressed, while the other sieve-block cells use 6x. Dye cells need 6x Compressed Concrete of the matching color. Clay, Kivi, Sky Stone and Ancient Stone cells all need 5x. Andesite, Diorite, Granite, Tuff and Calcite use 5x, and Basalt uses 6x.[3]

In the quest book, "More Resources than you ever need: Infinity Cells" quest in the Extended & Advanced AE chapter lists the cells, along with ExtendedAE's own water and cobblestone infinity cells. In Chapter 3: AllTheModium, four quests come after Infinity ME Cells: a quest in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" (sieve blocks), "Infinite Dyes" quest (dyes), "Infinite ETC Blocks" quest (Clay, Kivi, Sky Stone and Ancient Stone) and a quest in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" (stones not tied to sieving).[2][3]

Occultism rituals

The pack adds two Occultism rituals that take KubeJS items as ingredients: Honeycomb and Misc Demonic Sapling. One ritual produces Honeycomb. The other produces the Demonic Sapling, which pulls in Allthemodium materials.[4]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use KubeJS?

2 parts

In this pack, the kubejs items that show up in the quest book are Infinity Cells: cells that give you a limitless supply of one resource. You'll meet them in the Extended & Advanced AE chapter and in Chapter 3: AllTheModium.[2][3]

Extended & Advanced AE: meeting the cells

"More Resources than you ever need: Infinity Cells" quest is where the cells are introduced. The quest describes them as "The Sink but in cell form" and explains that ExtendedAE offers a new type of cell, the Infinity Cell, which provides a limitless supply of one resource, such as Water, Cobblestone or Lava.[2]

Its task accepts any of a long list of cells, for example the Lava Cell, Dirt Cell, Sand Cell and Sky Stone Cell. ExtendedAE's own infinity water and infinity cobblestone cells are accepted as well.[2]

Chapter 3: AllTheModium: the cell quests

The quests below are all set to unlock after a quest called Infinity ME Cells. They share that same prerequisite, so the sources give no order between them. Each one accepts any one of the listed cells.[3]
