What is Mekanism?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.47 guide
Mekanism is a full tech suite: low, mid and high tier machinery, energy generation, advanced transmission systems and gadgets. It is built around gradual progression, so there is a tier of machine for whatever stage you have reached, and it can carry you from your first powered furnace all the way to reactors and teleporters.[1]
The big draw is ore processing. Smelting an ore straight into an ingot wastes most of what you mined, so Mekanism gives you purification, dissolution, chemical injection and crystallization machines that let you double, triple, quadruple or even quintuple your ingot output per ore, given enough infrastructure and energy.[1]
Every Mekanism machine can also be upgraded into a factory, which processes 3 items at once at basic, 5 at advanced, 7 at elite and 9 at ultimate tier, so you never need a wall of furnaces again.[1]
The three modules in this pack
- Mekanism itself is the core: machines, upgrades, the Digital Miner with its filtering system, hydrogen-powered Jetpack flight, the loyal Robit, and transmitters for items, fluids, gases, energy and heat, including the sorting and filtering Basic Logistical Transporter networks.[1]
- Mekanism Generators is the official power addon. Without it you would need another mod to run your machines. It adds the Heat Generator, Gas-Burning Generator, Bio-Generator, Solar Generator, Advanced Solar Generator and Wind Generator, plus the Fission Reactor, Fusion Reactor and Turbine.[1][2]
- Mekanism Tools adds armour, shields and tools for bronze, lapis lazuli, osmium, refined glowstone, refined obsidian and steel, including Paxels (an axe, pickaxe and shovel multitool) and Paxels for the vanilla wood, stone, iron, gold and diamond types.[3]
This pack ships all three at version 10.7.7.[4]
Where it fits in this pack
The pack gives Mekanism its own quest chapter, and the early route is short. You start with storage in a quest in "?" and a quest in "?", get power going with the Heat Generator in a quest in "?", and that leads straight into the Metallurgic Infuser in a quest in "?".[5]
From there the chapter branches into the machine and upgrade lines, the alloy chain up through Reinforced Alloy and Atomic Alloy, the tank and cable tiers, and the fancier toys like the Teleporter and Quantum Entangloporter.[5]
How do you get started with Mekanism?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.47 guide
Mekanism is a full tech tree: low, mid and high tier machinery, energy generation, gadgets and ore processing that can double, triple, quadruple or even quintuple your ingots per ore once you build enough infrastructure and power.[1]
Two official addons ride along with it in this pack. Mekanism Generators adds the generators and reactors you need to actually power the machines, and without a power source from it or another mod your machines will sit idle. Mekanism Tools is optional gear: tools, shields and armor made from Mekanism materials like bronze, osmium, steel, refined glowstone and refined obsidian.[2][3]
Make power first
The quest chapter starts you on the Heat Generator, which is the simplest way to start making power in the mod. Get one running before you build anything that eats energy.[5][6]
The Metallurgic Infuser is the gate
The Metallurgic Infuser comes straight after the Heat Generator, and almost the entire rest of the chapter unlocks from it. Treat it as your real first milestone.[5]
- Basic Control Circuit and Infused Alloy, the two crafting components everything else leans on.[5]
- Enrichment Chamber, your first processing machine, plus the Osmium Compressor and Energized Smelter.[5]
- Energy Tablet, Basic Energy Cube and the Chargepad for storing and moving energy.[5]
- More generators: Solar Generator, Wind Generator and the Bio-Generator.[5]
- Gear and convenience: the Jetpack, the Atomic Disassembler and the Basic Tier Installer.[5]
Basic Control Circuits are made in the Metallurgic Infuser itself, not on a crafting table, so the machine pays for itself immediately.[7]

Infused Alloy is the other thing to stockpile. It unlocks the whole machine upgrade line in the chapter, and it leads to Reinforced Alloy and then Atomic Alloy for the higher circuit tiers.[5]
- Speed Upgrade and Energy Upgrade for faster, cheaper machines.[5]
- Filter Upgrade, Muffling Upgrade, Chemical Upgrade and Stone Generator Upgrade for the situational cases.[5]
Tanks and a Configurator
The chapter also runs a storage line of its own: Basic Chemical Tank and Basic Fluid Tank, each upgrading through advanced, elite and ultimate tiers as you unlock better alloys.[5]

How does Mekanism work?
9 parts
Mekanism is built around one idea: take a raw resource, run it through a chain of machines, and get far more out of it than a furnace ever would. The mod ships low, mid and high tier machinery, energy generation, transmission systems and processing chains, and it expects you to climb through those tiers rather than jump straight to the top.[1]
The headline system is ore processing. Using purification, dissolution, chemical injection and crystallization technology you can double, triple, quadruple or even quintuple your ingot output per ore, as long as you build the infrastructure and feed it enough energy. Each extra multiplier means another chemical step bolted onto the chain, so plan your room with space to grow.[1]
Machines and factories
Most Mekanism machines are single blocks that take power and an input, then push out a result. Early on you will be leaning on the Enrichment Chamber to increase material efficiency, plus the Crusher and the Energized Smelter for the rest of the basic chain.[8][9]

Once a single machine is not keeping up, every Mekanism machine can be upgraded into a factory, which processes 3 items at once at basic tier, 5 at advanced, 7 at elite and 9 at ultimate, all inside one block. That is how you condense a wall of machines into a compact setup instead of spamming copies.[1]
Control circuits gate your progress
Circuits are the spine of Mekanism progression. Each tier of circuit unlocks the next tier of machines and gadgets, and the higher tiers are what late-game blocks like the Combiner and the Chemical Crystallizer ask for.[8][9]

Moving energy, fluids, chemicals and heat
Mekanism has a dedicated transmitter for each kind of transfer instead of one universal pipe, so you will be crafting a few different types as you build out a base.[8]
- Universal Cables carry energy between generators, machines and Energy Cubes, which store your excess power.[8]
- Mechanical Pipes move fluids, and Fluid Tanks store the excess.[8]
- Pressurized Tubes handle chemical transport, feeding your gas-hungry processing chains, and Chemical Tanks store almost all of your chemicals.[8]
- Thermodynamic Conductors move heat between blocks.[8]
- Item transport has diversion variants for precise side control.[8]
Transmitters are tiered like everything else, but you do not have to rip them out to upgrade them: applying the next tier of alloy to a transmitter in world upgrades it in place.[8]
For mining, the Digital Miner does the digging for you, and tractor beams pull in the drops of the blocks they break so nothing is left scattered on the floor.[8]
Configuring and automating
The Configurator is your main wrench, used to change the settings of Mekanism blocks, while a Configuration Card copies the configuration of one machine onto another so you only have to set up a side layout once.[8][9]

In this pack common.copyBlockData is on, so machine configuration data is carried over when you middle click a placed machine to get its item. If it were off you would just get a default, unconfigured stack back.[10]
Two more quality-of-life tools are worth crafting early. The Dictionary tells you the generic tags of the blocks and items around you, which is invaluable when you are working out why a filter is not matching, and a Gauge Dropper can be used on any gauge in a Mekanism GUI to clean it out.[8][9]

For automated crafting, Mekanism has a machine that does the crafting for you, and a Crafting Formula is the item that holds the pattern. Cardboard Boxes let you pick a block up and move it elsewhere.[8][9]

Multiblocks
The big builds are multiblocks made from casing blocks plus at least one valve so contents can get in and out. Dynamic Tanks give you bulk fluid and chemical storage, Boiler Casings and Boiler Valves build the boiler, and Mekanism Generators adds the Fission Reactor, Fusion Reactor and Turbine on top of that.[2][9]

Power generation in this pack
Mekanism Generators supplies the Heat Generator, Gas-Burning Generator, Bio-Generator, Solar and Advanced Solar Generators, Wind Generator, Fission Reactor, Fusion Reactor and Turbine. Without it you would need another mod entirely to power your Mekanism machines.[2]
- The Bio-Generator produces 350 Joules per tick in this pack and its fluid tank holds 24,000 mB.[11]
- The Advanced Solar Generator has a peak output of 300, and can go higher in some extreme environments.[11]
- The Gas-Burning Generator burns Ethene, holds 18,000 mB of gas, and each mB of Ethene burns for 40 ticks with an energy density multiplier of 17.[6][11]
Heads up on the Gas-Burning Generator: this pack adds its own crafting recipe for it, so check the recipe below rather than relying on what you remember from other packs.[9]

Pack-added recipe
Reactor tuning and radiation
The Fission Reactor's behaviour is driven by config values the pack has set. Each whole mB of fission fuel makes 1,000,000 energy as heat, each fuel assembly contributes 8,000 mB of fuel and waste capacity and raises the maximum burn rate by 1, the default burn rate is 0.1, and each casing block adds 1,000 heat capacity. Cooling targets an average fuel assembly surface area of 4 to reach 100% boil efficiency, and the excess waste warning triggers at a waste tank fraction of 0.9.[11]
Fusion is tuned separately: the reactor stores 1,000,000,000 Joules and 1,000 mB of fuel, each whole unit of fusion fuel is worth 10,000,000 towards injection rate, max temp and ignition temp, the thermocouple converts heat dissipated from the case to Joules at a fraction of 0.05, and the water heating ratio is 0.3 when water cooling is in use.[11]
For safety gear, a Geiger Counter shows how badly your experiments have irradiated the environment and a Dosimeter tracks exposure. Because common.enableDecayTimers is on in this pack, those readouts also show the time to decay when readings are above safe levels.[8][9][10]

Units and readouts
Two display settings are worth knowing before you start reading gauges. This pack sets common.energyType to Forge Energy, so Mekanism GUIs and network reader readings show that rather than Joules, and common.temperatureUnit is Kelvin, which is the unit reactor and boiler temperatures appear in.[10]
Tools and armor
Mekanism Tools rounds things out with armor, shields and tools in Bronze, Lapis Lazuli, Osmium, Refined Glowstone, Refined Obsidian and Steel, plus Paxels, a combined pickaxe, axe and shovel multitool, which it also adds for the vanilla materials. Refined Obsidian armor is the standout, billed as better than netherite.[3][12]
Mobs can also spawn wearing this gear. The spawn chance per material and per armor piece, whether zombies get weapons, and whether that gear comes enchanted are all separate server config options, and each is further modified by the chunk's difficulty modifier.[12]
How do you progress through Mekanism?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.47 guide
Mekanism progression in this pack is built around Basic, Advanced, Elite and Ultimate tiers. The Mekanism quest chapter follows them, and each tiered item (tanks, energy cubes, tier installers, cables, pipes, tubes, conductors and transporters) has its own chain of quests. The quests have no titles, so this guide describes each one by the item it asks for.[5]
The early hub
The Heat Generator quest (a quest in "?") leads to the Metallurgic Infuser quest (a quest in "?"). That second quest is the hub of the early game.[5]
Once you have the Metallurgic Infuser, a lot of quests open at the same time. They include the Basic Control Circuit, Basic Tier Installer, Enrichment Chamber, Basic Energy Cube, Osmium Compressor, Energy Tablet, Jetpack, Chargepad, Energized Smelter and Atomic Disassembler. The Bio-Generator, Solar Generator and Wind Generator also unlock here. So do the Teleporter (together with its frame) and the Quantum Entangloporter.[5]
The first main questline chapter touches Mekanism early too. It has quests for a Wind Generator, a Solar Generator, a Basic Universal Cable and a Basic Energy Cube. Some of those quests also accept Powah or Pipez items instead.[13]
Alloys and circuits
The alloys come in a short chain of quests. Infused Alloy comes straight after the Metallurgic Infuser, Reinforced Alloy follows it, and Atomic Alloy follows that. The Infused Alloy quest also opens the upgrade quests: Speed Upgrade, Energy Upgrade, Chemical Upgrade, Muffling Upgrade, Filter Upgrade and Stone Generator Upgrade.[5]
Control circuits follow the same ladder. The Advanced Control Circuit quest comes after the Basic Control Circuit quest and Infused Alloy. Elite needs Advanced plus Reinforced Alloy, and Ultimate needs Elite plus Atomic Alloy. Basic circuits are made in the Metallurgic Infuser, and each higher circuit has both a crafting recipe and a Metallurgic Infuser recipe, so you can pick either route.[5][7]

Climbing the tiers
- Chemical tanks: Basic Chemical Tank, then Advanced Chemical Tank, Elite Chemical Tank and Ultimate Chemical Tank. Each quest unlocks the next, and the fluid tanks have a matching chain. The Basic chemical tank is a crafting recipe, and each higher tank recipe builds on the tank before it.[5][7]
- Energy cubes: Basic Energy Cube, Advanced Energy Cube, Elite Energy Cube and Ultimate Energy Cube, in that order.[5]
- Tier installers: Basic Tier Installer, Advanced Tier Installer, Elite Tier Installer and Ultimate Tier Installer, in that order.[5]
- Transmitters: cables, mechanical pipes, pressurized tubes, thermodynamic conductors and logistical transporters each have their own Basic to Ultimate quest chain. The basic logistics chapter starts from the Configurator and accepts any tier of each transmitter type.[5][14]

Processing and chemistry
The Enrichment Chamber opens the processing branch: Enriched Carbon, the Electrolytic Separator and the Pressurized Reaction Chamber. The Purification Chamber quest comes after the separator (and one more quest outside this chapter), then the Crusher, then Bio Fuel, Substrate, the HDPE Pellet and the HDPE Sheet.[5]
The Chemical Injection Chamber quest leads on to the thermal evaporation multiblock, which in turn leads to a heater (fuelwood or resistive) and the Chemical Infuser. The Chemical Dissolution Chamber quest leads to the Chemical Oxidizer, Chemical Crystallizer, Rotary Condensentrator and Chemical Washer. The Dissolution Chamber, Washer and Crystallizer recipes all call for an ultimate-tier circuit, so plan your circuit progression before them.[5][7]

Generators and reactors
The pack adds its own recipe for the Gas-Burning Generator, and it builds on the Bio-Generator, so unlock that first. Its quest (a quest in "?") shares an earlier prerequisite with the Purification Chamber quest.[5][7]

The reactors chapter covers the late game. The Lithium Dust quest and the Hazmat Mask gear quest both follow the same earlier quest. After the hazmat gear come the fission reactor parts. The uranium chain (yellow cake, oxidizer, dissolution chamber, infuser) leads to the Isotopic Centrifuge and the Radioactive Waste Barrel, and the turbine multiblock follows the waste barrel.[15]
The Polonium Pellet quest leads to the fusion reactor, and the SPS quest needs both the polonium and Plutonium Pellet quests. After fusion come the Laser Focus Matrix, then the Laser and Laser Amplifier. There are two Hohlraum quests: the first follows the Solar Neutron Activator and Electric Pump quests, and the second follows the laser quest and the first Hohlraum quest.[15]
The lithium dust quest also opens the induction matrix quests. These cover the induction casing, port and structural glass, plus any tier of induction cell and provider.[15]
How does Mekanism work with other mods?
2 parts
In this pack, Mekanism's biggest tie-in with other mods is ore processing. The pack adds Mekanism recipes for metals from All the Ores and for the Allthemodium-family metals, so you can run those ores through Mekanism's chemical chain instead of plain smelting.[9]
Ore processing recipes
The same steps repeat for each supported metal. These are aluminum, iridium, nickel, platinum and silver from All the Ores, plus allthemodium, unobtainium and vibranium. Zinc also has a clump recipe from ore.[9]
- Dissolution: Liquid Sulfuric Acid plus an ore, a raw ore or a raw storage block turns into that metal's dirty slurry, such as dirty allthemodium or dirty nickel.[9]
- Injecting: Liquid Hydrogen Chloride plus an ore, a raw ore, a raw block or a crystal gives you that metal's shard. Examples are Silver Shard and Vibranium Shard.[9]
- Purifying: Liquid Oxygen plus an ore, a raw ore, a raw block or a shard gives you that metal's clump. Examples are Nickel Clump and Unobtainium Clump.[9]
The recipes accept any item in the matching ore, raw material or raw block tag, so ores from different mods that share a tag all work. The All the Ores metals take shards and crystals from their shared tags. The Allthemodium-family recipes use Mekanism's own shard tags for shards.[9]
Mekanism items in pack-made recipes
The pack also adds crafting recipes for its own items that need Mekanism parts. The Improbable Probability Device is a shaped recipe that uses Antimatter Pellet alongside items from other mods, such as Singularity, 256M Portable Item Cell, Lightning Upgrade Orb and Aerial Interface.[9]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: allthemods:allthetweaks/improbable_probability_device
The Nexium Emitter is another shaped recipe added by the pack. It needs Module Gravitational Modulating Unit, and it also uses Singularity, Bedrock and Player Transmitter (Nitro).[9]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Mekanism?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.47 guide
Mekanism and its add-ons show up in four quest chapters: mainquestline_part_1, basic_logistics, mekanism and mekanism_reactors. Every quest here is untitled in the pack files, so I identify each one by its ID and what it asks you to hold. Each quest is also gated by earlier quests, which I list as 'after'.[5][13][14][15]
Main questline, part 1
The main questline only touches Mekanism lightly, and several quests accept an alternative from another mod. Some of their prerequisites sit in parts of the questline not covered here.[13]
- a quest in "?" wants a Minecraft bucket or a Basic Fluid Tank.[13]
- a quest in "?" wants a Wind Generator.[13]
- a quest in "?" wants a basic Powah solar panel or a Solar Generator.[13]
- a quest in "?" wants a Basic Universal Cable, a Pipez energy pipe or a basic Powah energy cable. After it, a quest in "?" wants a Basic Energy Cube or a starter Powah energy cell.[13]
Basic logistics
This chapter starts with a quest in "?", which asks for the Configurator. Five quests then unlock from it, and each accepts any tier of its item: mechanical pipe (a quest in "?"), logistical transporter (a quest in "?"), thermodynamic conductor (a quest in "?"), universal cable (a quest in "?") and pressurized tube (a quest in "?").[14]
The Mekanism chapter
This is the big one. It starts with two tank lines. The chemical tank line runs a quest in "?" (basic), a quest in "?" (advanced), a quest in "?" (elite) and a quest in "?" (ultimate). The fluid tank line runs a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?" and a quest in "?" in the same tier order.[5]
The machine line starts at a quest in "?", the Heat Generator. It leads to a quest in "?", the Metallurgic Infuser, which unlocks most of the chapter.[5]
- Machines and gear straight after the infuser: Enrichment Chamber (a quest in "?"), Osmium Compressor (a quest in "?"), Energized Smelter (a quest in "?"), Energy Tablet (a quest in "?"), Jetpack (a quest in "?"), Chargepad (a quest in "?") and Atomic Disassembler (a quest in "?").[5]
- Power and transport: Bio-Generator (a quest in "?"), Solar Generator (a quest in "?") leading to Advanced Solar Generator (a quest in "?"), Wind Generator (a quest in "?"), the teleporter frame plus Teleporter (a quest in "?") and the Quantum Entangloporter (a quest in "?").[5]
- Alloys: Infused Alloy (a quest in "?"), then Reinforced Alloy (a quest in "?"), then Atomic Alloy (a quest in "?"). The infused alloy also unlocks the muffling, chemical, energy, speed, stone generator and filter upgrades.[5]
- Control circuits: basic (a quest in "?"), advanced (a quest in "?"), elite (a quest in "?") and ultimate (a quest in "?"). Each step also needs the matching alloy quest.[5]
- Tier upgrades: energy cubes run a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?". Tier installers run a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?".[5]
- Cable, pipe, tube, conductor and transporter lines each have their own four-quest tier chain here, starting from basic.[5]
- Refined materials: Refined Obsidian Ingot (a quest in "?") and Refined Glowstone Ingot (a quest in "?"), both after the osmium compressor.[5]
- Utility: the Robit (a quest in "?") needs both the energy tablet and chargepad quests. The Digital Miner (a quest in "?") comes after it.[5]
The enrichment chamber opens the chemistry side: Enriched Carbon (a quest in "?"), the Electrolytic Separator (a quest in "?") and the Pressurized Reaction Chamber (a quest in "?"). From the separator you reach the Purification Chamber (a quest in "?"), then the Crusher (a quest in "?"), then Bio Fuel (a quest in "?"). A plastic line follows: Substrate (a quest in "?"), HDPE Pellet (a quest in "?"), HDPE Sheet (a quest in "?").[5]
Other quests continue from the Chemical Injection Chamber (a quest in "?") and the Chemical Dissolution Chamber (a quest in "?"). The injection chamber leads to the thermal evaporation multiblock, which needs the controller, block and valve (a quest in "?"). That in turn leads to a fuelwood or resistive heater (a quest in "?") and the Chemical Infuser (a quest in "?"). The dissolution chamber unlocks the Chemical Oxidizer plus sulfur (a quest in "?"), the Chemical Crystallizer (a quest in "?"), the Rotary Condensentrator (a quest in "?") and the Chemical Washer (a quest in "?"). The Gas-Burning Generator has its own quest (a quest in "?").[5]
Reactors chapter
The mekanism_reactors chapter splits into a few branches. Some of their prerequisites are quests that aren't in the sources I have.[15]
- Induction matrix: a quest in "?" asks for Lithium Dust. After it, a quest in "?" wants the induction casing, port and structural glass, and a quest in "?" wants any induction cell and any induction provider. a quest in "?" then asks for an Induction Port again.[15]
- Fission reactor: a quest in "?" asks for the full hazmat set. Then a quest in "?" wants the fission reactor casing and reactor glass. Three quests unlock from that one: the port (a quest in "?"), the fuel assembly plus control rod assembly (a quest in "?") and the logic adapter (a quest in "?"). The adapter leads to a quest in "?", which also asks for redstone, a piston and an observer.[15]
- Fuel and waste: a quest in "?" asks for a uranium ingot and Yellow Cake Uranium, which leads to a quest in "?" (oxidizer). a quest in "?" asks for fluorite and a dissolution chamber. Both feed a quest in "?" (chemical infuser), then a quest in "?" (Isotopic Centrifuge), then a quest in "?" (Radioactive Waste Barrel).[15]
- Turbine: a quest in "?" wants the turbine casing and structural glass. After it come a quest in "?" (rotor, rotational complex, pressure disperser, blade), a quest in "?" (valve, vent, saturating condenser) and a quest in "?" (Electromagnetic Coil).[15]
- Pellets, fusion and SPS: a quest in "?" asks for the polonium pellet and a quest in "?" for the plutonium pellet. The polonium pellet unlocks a quest in "?" (fusion reactor controller, frame, port and reactor glass). Both pellets unlock a quest in "?" (SPS casing, structural glass, SPS port), which leads to a quest in "?" (Supercharged Coil).[15]
- Fusion fuel: a quest in "?" asks for the Laser Focus Matrix, then a quest in "?" for the laser amplifier and laser. a quest in "?" (solar neutron activator) and a quest in "?" (electric pump plus filter upgrade) lead to a quest in "?", a Hohlraum. a quest in "?" asks for a Hohlraum again once the laser and first Hohlraum quests are done. a quest in "?" asks for the antimatter pellet.[15]
Which Mekanism config options matter?
4 parts
These are the Mekanism settings you're most likely to touch, with the exact values this pack uses. They live in three files: common.toml for display options, generators.toml for power, and world.toml for ore generation.[10][11][17]
Display and quality of life (common.toml)
- common.energyType is set to FORGE_ENERGY, so Mekanism GUIs and network reader readings show Forge Energy. The other allowed value is JOULES. It only changes what is displayed.[10]
- common.temperatureUnit is KELVIN. You can switch it to CELSIUS, RANKINE, FAHRENHEIT or AMBIENT.[10]
- common.copyBlockData is true, so middle clicking a machine copies its configuration data.[10]
- common.enableDecayTimers is true, so you see radiation decay timers when readings are above safe levels. Set it to false on the client to hide the MekaSuit Geiger and Dosimeter Unit timers. Set it to false on the server to hide the handheld Geiger Counter and Dosimeter timers.[10]
- common.holidays is false, so holiday greetings and easter eggs are off, and robit skins aren't randomized on the server.[10]
Ore generation (world.toml)
In this pack, Mekanism's own world generation is switched off for the ores shown in the file. world_generation.osmium.shouldGenerate, world_generation.tin.shouldGenerate, world_generation.lead.shouldGenerate and world_generation.fluorite.shouldGenerate are all false. So is world_generation.salt.shouldGenerate for salt, and world_generation.uranium.buried.shouldGenerate for buried uranium veins.[17]
Every individual vein type I can see is also set to false, for example world_generation.tin.large.shouldGenerate and world_generation.osmium.upper.shouldGenerate. Vein size, veins per chunk and height settings are still in the file, but they have no effect while generation is off. world_generation.enableRegeneration is false too, so existing chunks won't retrogen Mekanism ores. The remaining uranium options are set further down in the same world.toml file.[17]
Power generation (generators.toml)
- generators.solarGeneration is 50 for the Solar Generator's peak output, and generators.advancedSolarGeneration is 300 for the Advanced Solar Generator. Both can go higher in some extreme environments.[11]
- The Bio Generator makes 350 Joules per tick (generators.bio_generator.bioGeneration) and has a 24000 mB tank (generators.bio_generator.tankCapacity).[11]
- The Heat Generator's base output is 200 Joules per tick (generators.heat_generator.heatGeneration). Each adjacent lava side adds 30 (generators.heat_generator.heatGenerationLava), and an ultrawarm dimension such as the Nether adds 100 (generators.heat_generator.heatGenerationNether).[11]
- The Wind Generator's base generation runs from 60 (generators.wind_generator.windGenerationMin) up to 480 (generators.wind_generator.generationMax). The minimum Y that affects its power is 24 (generators.wind_generator.minY). No dimensions are blacklisted (generators.wind_generator.windGenerationDimBlacklist is empty).[11]
Fission reactor safety
generators.fission_reactor.meltdownsEnabled is true, so a fission reactor can really melt down here. If you turned it off, the reactor would shut down instead and stay off until its damage level dropped. A meltdown explosion has a radius of 8 (generators.fission_reactor.meltdownRadius). The chance is 0.001 once damage passes 100% (generators.fission_reactor.meltdownChance), and it scales up as damage keeps rising. After a meltdown the reactor resets to 75 damage (generators.fission_reactor.postMeltdownDamage).[11]
Unverified The files only show this pack's current values, not the mod's own defaults, so I can't say which of these settings the pack changed.
What changed in Mekanism between versions?
3 parts
All the Mods 10 0.41 includes Mekanism, Mekanism Tools and Mekanism Generators at version 10.7.5, and all three were first in the pack by 0.32 or earlier. The 10.7.5 changelogs for the three mods list the same entries, so the notes below are written once for the whole set.[18][19][20][21]
10.7.5 (the version in this pack)
- The configs were restructured and now support NeoForge's Config GUI, so you can edit them in game and they can be translated. A parent level node was removed to make the GUI easier to navigate, and the changelog warns that this will cause all configs to get reset.[19][20][21]
- The changelog lists a slight lowering of the default value of dumpExcessKeepRatio, from 0.9 to 0.85. That is the mod's default, and the sources don't say whether the pack overrides it.[20]
- Mekanism Additions: the changelog lists a fix so its description translation is used in game, and the voice key toggle config was flipped into a push to talk option with the same default behavior.[20]
- The changelog says the baby biome and structure spawn blacklists moved to tags, using names like mekanismadditions:blacklist_baby_creepers. It also says the wind generator's dimension blacklist moved to the dimension type tag c:no_wind, and that wind generator item rendering bugging out in a blacklisted dimension was fixed.[19][20][21]
- The changelog lists a change to check Curios slots for radiation shielding.[20]
- The changelog lists a fix for an inverted check on whether a block supports specific upgrades during recipe upgrading.[20]
- The changelog also lists JEI cleanups: deprecations were addressed, a few unnecessary parameters and casts were removed, and the way aliases are defined was restructured.[20]
The 10.7.5 changelog excerpt is truncated, so it may not list every change in that release.[20]
10.7.4
- The changelog lists a fix for a failure to load QIO data if some items became equivalent.[22][23][24]
- Fixed items sometimes failing to load after having had multiple chemical side configs. They take the first one, usually gas.[22][23][24]
10.6.7
- The changelog lists adding bone block to the crusher recipes.[25][26][27]
- The changelog lists adding back AE2 compat recipes for silicon and ender dust.[25][26][27]
- The changelog lists entries about always checking conversions, including an extra simulation for safety that logs if it failed.[25][26][27]
- The changelog lists a fix for the SPS billboarding effect not rendering.[26][27]
- Snow is not allowed to form on blocks used in multiblocks, which prevents snow forming inside evaporation towers.[26][27]
- The changelog lists a change so that searching reactor shows all fission components.[26][27]
The 10.6.7 excerpt is also truncated, so more changes may exist in that release.[25][26][27]
