What is Apothic Enchanting?
1 part
This pack ships Apothic Enchanting version 1.2.3, built for Minecraft 1.21.1, and it has been part of the pack since version 0.43 or earlier. That means it is available to you from the start of a fresh world with no extra installation or add-on needed.[1]
Unverified No in-jar guidebook or platform description is stored for this mod in the pack data available here, so the specific enchanting blocks, mechanics and rebalances it adds could not be confirmed for this page. Treat any list of features you see elsewhere as unverified until you check it in-game.
Where it fits in progression
The mod does show up in the pack's quest book. In the Chapter 2 star chapter there is a quest, a quest in "?", whose task is to hand in Infused Dragon's Breath. It unlocks after the quest before it in that chain, so you will meet it as part of working through that chapter rather than as a standalone objective.[2]
Beyond that quest, this mod is not a gate on the main ATM Star route in this pack, so you can engage with it as deeply or as lightly as you like. If you enjoy min-maxing gear, it is worth exploring early; if you are rushing the endgame, the one quest item above is all you strictly need to think about.[2]
How do you get started with Apothic Enchanting?
4 parts
Apothic Enchanting rebuilds the vanilla enchanting table into something you keep upgrading all game. The table can now go past 30 levels, and some enchantments only start showing up above level 30, so your goal from the first day is simple: surround the table with better shelves.[3]
Three stats drive everything. Eterna sets your maximum enchanting level, Arcana makes rare enchantments more common and increases the number of enchantments you get, and Quanta increases the underlying randomness while its rectification lessens the negative effects. Hover any shelf and the tooltip tells you how much enchanting power it provides, along with extras like enchantability bonuses, enchanting clues, and whether it allows treasure enchantments.[3]
A table and your first shelves
Get a normal enchanting table first, then start replacing plain bookshelves. The Stoneshelf is an early shelf you can craft to begin filling out the ring.[3][4]

Once you have a bit more to work with, the Hellshelf and Seashelf are the two shelves you want, because both of them have upgrade paths later on.[4]

There are also a few flavour shelves you can craft from farm and cave materials whenever you happen to have the ingredients: the Melonshelf, the Beeshelf, and the Geode-Encased Bookshelf of Stability.[4]
Learn Infusion Enchanting
The big unlock is Infusion Enchanting, which is how the mod does enchantment crafting: you enchant an item at the table and it comes out as a different item instead. That is how you get an Infused Hellshelf and an Infused Seashelf, and both are milestones the mod tracks with advancements.[3][4]

Infusion also wakes up deepslate shelves. Craft a Dormant Deepshelf, then activate it at the table to get a Deepshelf, which later feeds the Echoing, Soul-Touched and Arcane Treasures variants.[3][4]

Tomes and the quest target
Target tomes let you steer results instead of rerolling forever, since each one only accepts enchantments for its category, like boots, bows or chestplates. The Tome of Scrapping is the other one worth making early, because infusing it gives the Tome of Superior Scrapping and then the Tome of Extraction.[3][4]
Your quest checkpoint for this mod is a quest in "?", which asks for Infused Dragon's Breath. You infuse it from dragon's breath, so it is an End-trip item, and it is also what lets you build the Endshelf.[2][3][4]

How does Apothic Enchanting work?
7 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 7.0 guide
Apothic Enchanting is built around the enchanting table, not around machines. The mod's tooltips describe a stat system, a set of bookshelf blocks that feed it, and a few storage and extraction tools. Here is how those pieces work.[5]
Raising the level cap
Enchanting tables can now exceed 30 levels, and some enchantments only show up past level 30. The mod has advancements for enchanting at levels 30, 60, 80 and 100, so the high end is meant to be reachable.[5]
The three stats
The enchanting screen shows three stats, and the bookshelves around the table push them up.[5]
- Eterna sets the max enchanting level. The screen shows your current value against the maximum.[5]
- Arcana makes rare enchantments more common and increases the number of enchantments you get.[5]
- Quanta increases the underlying randomness. The screen also says it lessens the negative effects.[5]
Some shelves are tagged as providing Quantic Stability. There are advancements for enchanting at 0%, 50% and 100% Quanta, and for hitting max Eterna and Arcana with 0% Quanta.[5]
Shelves
The shelves form upgrade chains. The basic ones are the Hellshelf, the Beeshelf and the Melonshelf, and the higher tiers are built from the tier below. Here is the Beeshelf recipe as an example.[6]

- Nether line: the Infused Hellshelf comes from Infusion Enchanting, and it then upgrades into the Blazing Hellshelf or the Glowing Hellshelf.[5][6]
- Sea line: the Infused Seashelf also comes from Infusion Enchanting. It upgrades into the Crystalline Seashelf, the Heart-Forged Seashelf or the Seashelf of Aquatic Filtration.[5][6]
- End line: you need Infused Dragon's Breath to make the Endshelf. The Endshelf then upgrades into the Draconic Endshelf or the Pearlescent Endshelf.[5][6]
- Deep line: the Dormant Deepshelf has to be activated, and it becomes the Deepshelf. That upgrades into the Echoing Deepshelf, which in turn goes into the Echoing Sculkshelf using a Warden Tendril.[5][6]

Seashelf of Aquatic Filtration
You insert enchanted books into the Seashelf of Aquatic Filtration to stop those enchantments from appearing in the table. It also gains Eterna and Arcana based on how many books you put in. That makes it a good way to cut out enchantments you don't want.[5][6]

Recipe id: apothic_enchanting:filtering_shelf
Enchantment Library
The Enchantment Library stores enchantments. Insert an enchanted book to deposit it. Left-click a stored enchantment to take out one level, or shift-click to take the max level available.[5][6]
Tooltips on the library show how many enchantments it stores, the points stored against its capacity, and the max level available. They also warn you when the next level is unavailable.[5]

Tomes
The type tomes each accept one category of enchantments. These are the Tome of Helmets, Tome of Chestplates, Tome of Legplates, Tome of Boots, Tome of the Miners, Tome of the Fishers, Tome of the Archers and Tome of the Others. The Other tome covers miscellaneous enchantments.[5][6]
The Tome of Scrapping extracts half of the enchantments from an item and destroys the item in the process.[5][6]
The mod's text also describes an improved scrap tome that extracts all enchantments and destroys the item. It describes an extraction tome that extracts all enchantments without destroying the item. You can also build an Altar of the Seas, which turns unwanted enchanted items into a new book.[5]
Utility items
The Prismatic Cobweb can be used to remove curses.[5][6]
Ender leads capture and move entities. The Flimsy Ender Lead only handles animals. The full Ender Lead handles most entities, and the Occult Ender Lead can also bind them to Mob Spawners. The pack changed the Flimsy Ender Lead recipe from the mod's version, so use the one below.[5][6]
Unverified The sources don't explain any power, fluid or item automation, and they don't cover the exact stat values each shelf provides or the Infusion Enchanting requirements. This section leaves those out.
How do you progress through Apothic Enchanting?
5 parts
Apothic Enchanting progresses in layers: you start with plain shelves you can craft from ordinary bookshelves and overworld blocks, push them through infusion to get the "infused" middle tier, and then branch those infused blocks into specialised top-tier shelves. Tomes follow their own short line alongside the shelves.[4]
Tier 1: the starter shelves
These are the first blocks you can make, and most of them are built around a bookshelf plus themed materials. They're cheap enough to spam early and they're the entry point into every later branch.[4]
- Stoneshelf and Dormant Deepshelf: the two stone-line starters.[4]
- Hellshelf and Seashelf: the bases for the Nether and ocean branches.[4]
- Beeshelf, Melonshelf and Geode-Encased Bookshelf of Stability: standalone shelves with no further upgrade recipes in this pack.[4]

Tier 2: infusion
The middle of the mod is the infusion recipe type. Four infusions matter for shelf progression: the Hellshelf and Seashelf become their infused versions, the Dormant Deepshelf wakes up into a Deepshelf, and dragon's breath becomes Infused Dragon's Breath, which is what unlocks the End branch.[4]

Tier 3: the specialised branches
Once you have the infused blocks, each one opens a small fan of upgrades. There's no single "best" path here; you pick the branches whose effects you want and mix the shelves around your table.[4]
- Nether branch, from Infused Hellshelf: Blazing Hellshelf, Glowing Hellshelf and Hellshelf of Sight, which upgrades once more into Hellshelf of Masterful Sight.[4]
- Ocean branch, from Infused Seashelf: Crystalline Seashelf, Seashelf of Aquatic Filtration and Heart-Forged Seashelf.[4]
- Deepslate branch, from Deepshelf: Echoing Deepshelf, Soul-Touched Deepshelf and Deepshelf of Arcane Treasures. The two deepshelves go one step further into Echoing Sculkshelf and Soul-Touched Sculkshelf, the deepest tier in that line.[4]
- End branch, from Infused Dragon's Breath: craft an Endshelf, then split it into Draconic Endshelf or Pearlescent Endshelf.[4]

Tomes
Tomes are a parallel, much shorter line. The targeting tomes: Tome of Helmets, Tome of Chestplates, Tome of Legplates, Tome of Boots, Tome of Weaponry, Tome of the Archers, Tome of the Miners, Tome of the Fishers and Tome of the Others: are all single-step crafts, so you can make any of them as soon as you have the materials.[4]
The scrapping line is the one with real tiers: craft Tome of Scrapping, infuse it into Tome of Superior Scrapping, then infuse that into Tome of Extraction.[4]

The library endgame
Storage has its own two-step upgrade. Build the Enchantment Library once you have an infused shelf to spare, then infuse it into the Library of Alexandria. That infusion keeps the block's stored data, so you don't lose what's already inside when you upgrade.[4]

How does Apothic Enchanting work with other mods?
3 parts
In this pack, Apothic Enchanting connects to other mods mainly through crafting recipes the pack adds itself. These recipes make items from the pack's tweaks additions, and each one needs at least one item from Apothic Enchanting. There is also a quest that uses one of the mod's items.[2][4]
Miniature portals
The Miniature End, Exit and Nether Portals each have a pack-added recipe that asks for Apothic Enchanting items, so you need to get into the mod's shelves and materials before you can make them. The recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack crafting.[4]
- Miniature End Portal uses the Draconic Endshelf and the Endshelf.[4]
- Miniature Exit Portal uses Infused Dragon's Breath and the Soul-Touched Sculkshelf.[4]
- Miniature Nether Portal uses the Hellshelf of Masterful Sight.[4]

Quest tie-in
Quest a quest in "?" in the chapter "chapter_2_the_star" has Infused Dragon's Breath as its task, and it comes after another quest in that chapter. So the item also shows up as a questing goal, not only as a crafting ingredient.[2]
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Apothic Enchanting?
Apothic Enchanting shows up in only one quest in this pack, and it sits in the chapter called chapter_2_the_star. It's a short section, so there's no long questline to walk through.[2]
- The quest a quest in "?" has no title in the quest file. Its single task is to hand in Infused Dragon's Breath.[2]
- It comes after the quest a quest in "?", so finish that one first. The sources don't say what that earlier quest asks for.[2]
Unverified Whether this quest gives a reward, and how you're meant to get Infused Dragon's Breath in this pack, isn't shown in the quest data I have. Check the quest in-game for its reward and any hints.
