What is Apothic Enchanting?
This pack ships Apothic Enchanting at version 1.2.0. It has been part of the pack since version 0.32 or earlier, so it is not a recent addition.[1]
How do you get started with Apothic Enchanting?
4 parts
Everything here starts with a plain enchanting table, the mod's own advancement line literally begins with obtaining one and starting to unveil the mystery. The big change is that in this pack enchanting tables can exceed 30 levels, and some enchantments only show up past level 30, so the whole point of the early game is pushing your table higher than vanilla ever allowed.[2]
When you open the table you'll see three stats instead of a single power number. Eterna sets the max enchanting level, Arcana makes rare enchantments more common and increases the number of enchantments you get, and Quanta increases the underlying randomness while lessening the negative effects. Blocks placed around the table are what move those numbers.[2]
Step 1: your first shelves
Shelves are the replacement for stacking vanilla bookshelves. Hover any of them and the tooltip tells you exactly how much enchanting power it provides, plus extras like enchanting clues or whether it allows treasure enchantments, so you can always check a shelf before you commit to building a wall of them.[2]
Two shelves are reachable from plain overworld materials, so make these first while you're still gearing up.[3]

Dormant until you activate it. See Infusion below.
Once you've been to the Nether and to an ocean monument, the Hellshelf and the Seashelf become your two main upgrade lines. Both of them have infused versions, and those infused shelves are what the rest of the mod branches off, so get one of each as soon as you can.[2][3]

Step 2: Infusion Enchanting
Some upgrades aren't crafted at a bench at all: they're obtained through Infusion Enchanting, which is how you turn a Hellshelf into an Infused Hellshelf, a Seashelf into an Infused Seashelf, and how you activate a Dormant Deepshelf into a working Deepshelf. This is the gate between the cheap starter shelves and everything stronger.[2][3]

Step 3: tomes to aim your rolls
Tomes let you steer what the table offers you instead of praying for the right roll. Each one accepts a category of enchantments: for example the Tome of Boots accepts boot enchantments, the Tome of Chestplates accepts chestplate enchantments, and the Tome of the Archers accepts bow enchantments. Make the ones that match whatever you're gearing up first.[2][3]
- Armour: Tome of Helmets, Tome of Chestplates, Tome of Legplates and Tome of Boots.[3]
- Tools and weapons: Tome of Weaponry, Tome of the Archers, Tome of the Miners and Tome of the Fishers.[3]
- Everything else: Tome of the Others, which covers the leftovers.[2][3]
- Recycling: Tome of Scrapping, which infuses up into Tome of Superior Scrapping and then Tome of Extraction.[3]
Step 4: the Enchantment Library
Once you've done your first Infusion Enchanting, the Enchantment Library is the next milestone: it's the storage side of the mod, and it later infuses into the Library of Alexandria while keeping its contents.[3]

After that, the progression keeps climbing: Infused Dragon's Breath unlocks the Endshelf line, Deepshelves branch into echoing and soul-touched versions, and a Warden Tendril turns those into Sculkshelves. That's your mid-game: get the basic shelves, an infused pair and a couple of tomes down first.[2][3]
How does Apothic Enchanting work?
7 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 7.0 guide
Apothic Enchanting is built around the enchanting table, not around machines. The mod's tooltips describe a stat system, a set of bookshelf blocks that feed it, and a few storage and extraction tools. Here is how those pieces work.[4]
Raising the level cap
Enchanting tables can now exceed 30 levels, and some enchantments only show up past level 30. The mod has advancements for enchanting at levels 30, 60, 80 and 100, so the high end is meant to be reachable.[4]
The three stats
The enchanting screen shows three stats, and the bookshelves around the table push them up.[4]
- Eterna sets the max enchanting level. The screen shows your current value against the maximum.[4]
- Arcana makes rare enchantments more common and increases the number of enchantments you get.[4]
- Quanta increases the underlying randomness. The screen also says it lessens the negative effects.[4]
Some shelves are tagged as providing Quantic Stability. There are advancements for enchanting at 0%, 50% and 100% Quanta, and for hitting max Eterna and Arcana with 0% Quanta.[4]
Shelves
The shelves form upgrade chains. The basic ones are the Hellshelf, the Beeshelf and the Melonshelf, and the higher tiers are built from the tier below. Here is the Beeshelf recipe as an example.[5]

- Nether line: the Infused Hellshelf comes from Infusion Enchanting, and it then upgrades into the Blazing Hellshelf or the Glowing Hellshelf.[4][5]
- Sea line: the Infused Seashelf also comes from Infusion Enchanting. It upgrades into the Crystalline Seashelf, the Heart-Forged Seashelf or the Seashelf of Aquatic Filtration.[4][5]
- End line: you need Infused Dragon's Breath to make the Endshelf. The Endshelf then upgrades into the Draconic Endshelf or the Pearlescent Endshelf.[4][5]
- Deep line: the Dormant Deepshelf has to be activated, and it becomes the Deepshelf. That upgrades into the Echoing Deepshelf, which in turn goes into the Echoing Sculkshelf using a Warden Tendril.[4][5]

Seashelf of Aquatic Filtration
You insert enchanted books into the Seashelf of Aquatic Filtration to stop those enchantments from appearing in the table. It also gains Eterna and Arcana based on how many books you put in. That makes it a good way to cut out enchantments you don't want.[4][5]

Enchantment Library
The Enchantment Library stores enchantments. Insert an enchanted book to deposit it. Left-click a stored enchantment to take out one level, or shift-click to take the max level available.[4][5]
Tooltips on the library show how many enchantments it stores, the points stored against its capacity, and the max level available. They also warn you when the next level is unavailable.[4]

Tomes
The type tomes each accept one category of enchantments. These are the Tome of Helmets, Tome of Chestplates, Tome of Legplates, Tome of Boots, Tome of the Miners, Tome of the Fishers, Tome of the Archers and Tome of the Others. The Other tome covers miscellaneous enchantments.[4][5]
The Tome of Scrapping extracts half of the enchantments from an item and destroys the item in the process.[4][5]
The mod's text also describes an improved scrap tome that extracts all enchantments and destroys the item. It describes an extraction tome that extracts all enchantments without destroying the item. You can also build an Altar of the Seas, which turns unwanted enchanted items into a new book.[4]
Utility items
The Prismatic Cobweb can be used to remove curses.[4][5]
Ender leads capture and move entities. The Flimsy Ender Lead only handles animals. The full Ender Lead handles most entities, and the Occult Ender Lead can also bind them to Mob Spawners. The pack changed the Flimsy Ender Lead recipe from the mod's version, so use the one below.[4][5]
Unverified The sources don't explain any power, fluid or item automation, and they don't cover the exact stat values each shelf provides or the Infusion Enchanting requirements. This section leaves those out.
How do you progress through Apothic Enchanting?
5 parts
Apothic Enchanting progression in this pack is a chain of crafting and infusion recipes. You start with a plain bookshelf-style block, upgrade it through an infusion recipe, then branch into Nether, ocean, End and deep-dark lines. Libraries and tomes sit on top of those lines.[3]
Unverified No quests in this pack involve the mod, and it is not on the ATM Star quest path. That means no quest tells you what to build next, so the order below follows the recipes. This guide also has no confirmed enchanting-power numbers for any shelf, so check the in-game tooltips for those.
Step 1: the starter shelves
These are the entry points. Most of them are made by upgrading an ordinary bookshelf, and the Stoneshelf is the simplest of the group.[3]
- Stoneshelf, Melonshelf, Beeshelf and Geode-Encased Bookshelf of Stability are all crafted directly from regular recipes.[3]
- Hellshelf starts the Nether line.[3]
- Seashelf starts the ocean line.[3]
- Dormant Deepshelf starts the deep line.[3]

The gateway to the Nether line.
Step 2: infusion
The next tier is made with infusion recipes. Each one turns a single item into its upgraded form. Infusion upgrades a Hellshelf into an Infused Hellshelf, a Seashelf into an Infused Seashelf, and a Dormant Deepshelf into a Deepshelf. Dragon's breath becomes Infused Dragon's Breath the same way.[3]

Step 3: the specialised lines
- Nether line, built on the Infused Hellshelf: Glowing Hellshelf, Blazing Hellshelf and Hellshelf of Sight. The Hellshelf of Masterful Sight is the top of this line.[3]
- Ocean line, built on the Infused Seashelf: Crystalline Seashelf, Seashelf of Aquatic Filtration and Heart-Forged Seashelf.[3]
- End line: the Endshelf needs Infused Dragon's Breath. From it you can make the Pearlescent Endshelf and the Draconic Endshelf.[3]
- Deep line, built on the Deepshelf: Echoing Deepshelf, Soul-Touched Deepshelf and Deepshelf of Arcane Treasures. The two sculk shelves, Echoing Sculkshelf and Soul-Touched Sculkshelf, build on the echoing and soul-touched deepshelves and also need a Warden Tendril.[3]
The top of the Nether line is the one recipe in this dump flagged as changed by the pack, so don't trust other guides for it. The recipe below is the exact in-pack version.[3]

Step 4: libraries
The Enchantment Library accepts any infused shelf as part of its recipe, so you can unlock it as soon as you have one. Infusing a library gives the Library of Alexandria, and that recipe keeps the library's stored data.[3]

Tomes
Tomes are a side branch. Armor and tool tomes are all crafted directly: Tome of Helmets, Tome of Chestplates, Tome of Legplates, Tome of Boots, Tome of Weaponry, Tome of the Archers, Tome of the Miners, Tome of the Fishers and Tome of the Others.[3]
The scrapping tomes form their own three-step chain. You craft the Tome of Scrapping, infuse it into the Tome of Superior Scrapping, then infuse that again into the Tome of Extraction.[3]

How does Apothic Enchanting work with other mods?
The only in-pack link I can confirm for this mod is a single recipe that the pack adds. It uses Infused Dragon's Breath as one of its ingredients and produces the Dragon Soul.[3]
It's a shaped crafting recipe, so ingredient placement matters. The other ingredients come from several different mods, which makes the Dragon Soul a true cross-mod item. The recipe below shows the exact in-pack layout.[3]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: allthemods:allthetweaks/dragon_soul
Added by the pack, not a default recipe from the mod.
If you're after the Dragon Soul, you'll need to get hold of the infused breath from this mod as part of the process.[3]
Unverified No quests in this pack involve Apothic Enchanting, and I found no other recipes linking it to other mods. If you spot an interaction that isn't covered here, treat it as unconfirmed until it has been checked in the pack.
