What is Create: Enchantment Industry?

1 part

Create: Enchantment Industry adds tools and methods for handling experience and enchanting inside Create. The pack ships version 2.5.4b. The centrepiece is liquid experience, which is easy to store and transport. Around it you get machines like the Blaze Enchanter (a smart enchanting table), the Blaze Forger (a smart anvil), the Printer for copying books, name tags and train schedules, and the Mechanical Grindstone.[1][2]

It also has an Apotheosis side: the Brass Bookshelf, Infuser, Gem Cutter and Affix Augmentor.[1]

Where the quest book puts it

In this pack's quest book the mod lives in the "Create Addons" chapter, in the "Tech" group. It is chapter 31 of 67 and holds 50 quests. The chapter is shared with other Create addons, for example a Capacitor quest ("Capacitor" quest) from Create Crafts & Additions. The mod's own intro quest, "Create Enchantment Industry" quest, is about getting Nuggets of Experience from Crushing Wheels and Deployers.[3]

The quest text for 28 of the chapter's 50 quests is not shown in the sources here, so read those in the quest book itself.[3]

Unverified Whether the ATM Star path uses this mod is not shown by the sources here. The quest book is where to check that.

How do you get started with Create: Enchantment Industry?

4 parts

Welcome to Create: Enchantment Industry! In this pack its quests sit in the Create Addons chapter of the Tech group, and the first one is "Create Enchantment Industry" quest. Everything in the mod runs on experience, so the early game is about getting it into a form your machines can use.[3]

Nuggets and Blocks of Experience

Start with Nugget of Experience. The quest says a lot of the mod's crafts need them. Crushing Wheels that crush ore, Crushing Wheels that kill mobs, and Deployers that kill mobs can all drop them. Right click a nugget to use it up and gain the experience.[3]

Both the Crushing Wheel and Deployer kill drops are switched on in this pack (kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXp and kinetics.deployerKillDropXp).[4]

Combine 9 nuggets into a Block of Experience. The quest book follows up with "Now we can start having fun with the Mod!", and the Experience Lantern, Experience Hatch, Mechanical Grindstones and Enchanting Templates quests all come after it.[3]

Turn experience into fluid

After the Block of Experience, the quest book offers the Experience Lantern, the Experience Hatch and the Mechanical Grindstone. The Lantern soaks up XP orbs and your own XP and turns it into Fluid Experience. The Hatch attaches to tanks, and you right click it to dump your XP in or shift right click to take it back.[3]

The Mechanical Grindstone turns nuggets, blocks and enchanted items into Fluid Experience.

The Grindstone is a good use for spare experience items: a Block of Experience grinds into 27× Liquid Experience and a nugget into 3×.[5]

Tip: Fluid Experience (or a Bucket o' Enchanting) is needed by many machines later on. Careful where you place it: it forms a single XP orb, and this pack has kinetics.fluids.experienceVaporizeOnPlacement turned on.[3][4]

Templates and the Blaze machines

Next, press a Block of Experience with a Mechanical Press to make an Enchanting Template. You will use templates with the Blaze machines in later quests.[3]

Pressing a Block of Experience gives you an Enchanting Template.

The Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger both need the Blaze Burner upgrade smithing template. The quest book says Bastions in the Nether have these templates, and their quests come after Enchanting Templates and Fluid Experience. The Enchanter acts as an automatic enchanting table, and the Forger acts as an anvil.[3][5]

Tip: This pack raises the Blaze Enchanter's regular enchanting cap to level 50 (the mod default is 30) through kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxEnchantLevel. Feed the Enchanter Fluid Experience by pipe or by hand.[3][4]

Where to go next

  • The Printer comes right after Fluid Experience in the quest book. It copies or changes paper items such as Enchanted Books.[3]
  • The Infuser and Brass Bookshelf also unlock after Fluid Experience. The Brass Bookshelf has configurable Eterna, Quanta and Arcana stats and needs Rotational Power from below.[3]
  • For the Apotheosis side, Apotheotic Essence and Crystal Essence come straight after the first quest, and they lead on to the affix templates and the Gem Cutter.[3]

How does Create: Enchantment Industry work?

8 parts

Create: Enchantment Industry turns experience into a fluid you can pipe, store and process, and it gives you Create-style machines for enchanting, disenchanting and copying. Almost everything here runs on one idea: Liquid Experience moves through your factory like any other fluid.[1]

Liquid Experience

Liquid Experience is a high-density form of experience that is easy to store and transport. If you place it in the world, it vaporizes back into experience orbs, because kinetics.fluids.experienceVaporizeOnPlacement is true in this pack. Keep it in tanks and pipes.[1][4]

You can get the fluid from several items. These are the recipes in this pack:[5]

A regular lightning strike always transforms a Block of Experience in this pack, since kinetics.processing.regularLightningStrikeTransformXpBlockChance is 1.[4]

Experience Hatch, Lantern and Mechanical Grindstone

The Experience Hatch lets you interact with a fluid tank directly using your own experience. The mod's advancements describe two uses: storing your experience in it and retrieving experience from it.[1][6]

Item Application (create)

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:item_application/experience_hatch

Item application recipe for the hatch.

The Experience Lantern absorbs experience and also works on contraptions. In this pack it holds 1,000 mB and drains 50 mB from a player per 0.5 tick, both the mod defaults.[1][4]

The Mechanical Grindstone is a fully automated Grindstone with an extra sanding function. It disenchants items and gives you Liquid Experience. The Mechanical Grindstone and the Grindstone Drain each have a stress impact of 4 here.[1][4][6]

Blaze Enchanter

The Blaze Enchanter is a blaze acting as a smart enchanting table. It has two modes. Direct mode randomly enchants a compatible item using the selected enchanting level. Template mode writes one enchantment suitable for the template item into a blank Enchanting Template.[1][6]

This pack raised its limits. Regular Enchanting can use up to level 50 (mod default 30), and Super Enchanting up to level 100 (mod default 60). The tank holds 4,000 mB, the mod default.[4]

Blaze EnchanterMod recipe

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:smithing/blaze_enchanter

Blaze Forger and super enchanting

The Blaze Forger is a blaze acting as a smart anvil. It has three modes: apply an enchanted book or filled Enchanting Template to a target item, extract one enchantment into a blank Enchanting Template, or merge matching enchantment carriers, books, templates or matching equipment. Its tank also holds 4,000 mB.[1][4][6]

Hyper-enchanting breaks the normal level caps. In this pack kinetics.enchantments.enchantmentMaxLevelExtension is 1, so the max level in Super Enchanting is extended by 1. Super Enchanting and Super Forging also ignore enchantment compatibility, and enchantment splitting does not respect the over-capped level. A data map sets the level extension for Infinity and Mending to 0 for both the Blaze Enchanter and the Blaze Forger.[4][7]

Templates come from pressing. Pressing a Block of Experience makes an Enchanting Template, and pressing a Block of Super Experience makes a Super Enchanting Template.[5]

Pressing (create)

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:pressing/enchanting_template

Pressing (create)

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:pressing/super_enchanting_template

Items enchanted with Mending can also be repaired on a belt using a Spout and Liquid Experience.[1]

Printer

The Printer copies written books, enchanted books, name tags, train schedules and more. It can also change a package's address or pattern, and rename items. Its tank holds 4,000 mB. Every printing function is enabled in this pack, each with its own config toggle in the server config.[1][4][6]

  • Copying a written book uses black dye with a value of 10 in the printing data map. Changing a package address also uses black dye at 10, and a package pattern uses black dye at 100.[8][9][10]
  • Custom names use any dye at 250 plus Liquid Experience at 10. Each dye colour sets the text colour. kinetics.fluids.printingCustomNameAsItemName is false, so names stay in italic.[4][11][12]
  • Enchanted book printing has a cost multiplier of 1, and the denylist stops books with denied enchantments from being copied. The book then shows that it has an uncopiable enchantment.[4][6]
  • Written book copies use a generation change of -3, the mod default.[4]

Deployers and Crushing Wheels

Kills by a Deployer or Crushing Wheel can drop experience. For Crushing Wheels, the drop chance and scale are set by kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXpChance and kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXpScale, and both are at the mod defaults in this pack. Deployers collect dropped experience as Experience Nuggets and can use it to mend their held item. They also drop experience from kills and mined blocks at scale 1, and can make sweep attacks.[1][4]

The other options involved are kinetics.deployerCollectXp, kinetics.deployerMendItem and kinetics.deployerSweepAttack. All are on in this pack.[4]

Apotheosis machines

The mod integrates with Apotheosis. The Affix Augmentor upgrades the affixes of equipment automatically. It must sit on a horizontal Belt or Depot, and it needs a Fluid Tank of Apotheotic Essence 2 blocks beneath it.[1][6]

The Blaze Composer transfers, combines and reapplies affixes. Supply Apotheotic Essence through the bottom to activate Normal Mode. It has three modes: Extract moves one affix from equipment into a blank template, Merge combines two filled templates of the same tier and rarity, and Apply consumes a template and adds or upgrades every compatible affix on the target equipment. Engineer's Goggles preview the inputs, essence cost and result.[6]

Watch out: Every output must be removed before the Blaze Composer accepts the next batch. For Mechanical Arm automation, the input Arm places each item in the right slot for the selected mode, and the output Arm takes the outputs one after the other.[6]

The pack changed how you get Apotheotic Essence: it comes from a mixing recipe. It also changed the affix template recipe.[5]

The pack also replaces the crafting recipe for the Infuser with a script. Depending on whether a certain Apotheosis item exists, it registers either a shaped crafting recipe or an Apothic Enchanting infusion recipe with arcana, eterna and quanta requirements.[13]

Cake o' Enchanting

A small automation chain: compact a Cake Base o' Enchanting, fill it with 1,000 Liquid Experience to make a Cake o' Enchanting, then cut the cake into 4 slices. The pack changed the base recipe.[5]

How do you progress through Create: Enchantment Industry?

4 parts

Everything in Create: Enchantment Industry is laid out in the pack's quest book, in the Create Addons chapter (group Tech). The chain starts at one quest and branches out: experience first, then Fluid Experience machines, then the Apotheosis-linked affix line, and finally the Super machines at the top.[3]

Tier 1: Experience basics

The chapter opens with "Create Enchantment Industry" quest, which asks for a Nugget of Experience. You get them from Crushing Wheels crushing ore, Crushing Wheels killing mobs, or Deployers killing mobs. Nine nuggets make a Block of Experience, the next quest ("Block of Experience" quest), and the quest text says that is when the fun starts.[3]

Three quests branch off the Block of Experience: the Experience Lantern, the Experience Hatch and the Mechanical Grindstone. The same block is also the start of Enchanting Templates and of the Block of Super Experience quest.[3]

Grinding turns solid experience into Liquid Experience: a Nugget of Experience gives 3 and a Block of Experience gives 27. Once you have a source of the fluid, "Fluid Experience" quest (the Bucket o' Enchanting) unlocks. The quest book places it after the Lantern, Hatch and Grindstone quests.[3][5]

Tier 2: Fluid Experience machines

The Fluid Experience quest leads to the Printer, the Infuser and the Brass Bookshelf. The Infuser acts like an automatic Enchanting Table for infusing recipes. The Brass Bookshelf has configurable Eterna, Quanta and Arcana, each up to 25%, and needs Rotational Power from below.[3]

The Blaze Burner Upgrade quest comes after Enchanting Templates and Fluid Experience. It asks for the Blaze Burner upgrade smithing template, which the quest says is found in Bastions in the Nether. You need it for the Blaze Enchanter and the Blaze Forger.[3]

  • Blaze Enchanter: runs on Fluid Experience and has a side panel that sets the enchant level from 0 to 50. It can also enchant Enchanting Templates when you set a filter.[3]
  • Blaze Forger: works like an Anvil and has three modes, Merge, Apply and Extract.[3]

The affix line

This branch uses Apotheosis materials. "Apotheothic Essence" quest has you mix Arcane Sands in a Basin under a Mechanical Mixer to get Apotheotic Essence. "Crystal Essence" quest mixes Gem Dust into Crystal Essence. The pack changed these mixing recipes: Arcane Sands gives 27 Apotheotic Essence, Gem Dust gives 10 Crystal Essence, and a Godforged Pearl dissolves into 81 Apotheotic Essence.[3][5]

Crystal Essence unlocks the Gem Cutter. Apotheotic Essence unlocks the Affix Augmentor. Both need a Tank of their essence below them.[3]

"Affix Templates" quest comes after both essence quests. Brass and Crystal templates go with the normal Blaze Composer, and the Apotheotic one is for the Super Blaze Composer. • Super Blaze Enchanter: feed a Blaze Enchanter a Cake o' Enchanting. It then works only with Super Enchanting Templates, goes up to level 100, and can find Treasure Enchantments.[3]
  • Super Blaze Forger: a Forger fed a Cake o' Enchanting. It uses Super Enchanting Templates and is not restricted by vanilla level limits or conflicting enchantments such as Silk Touch and Fortune.[3]
  • Super Blaze Composer: hand a Blaze Composer a Godforged Pearl. It then uses only Apotheotic Affix Templates, which take higher level affixes.[3]
Watch out: All three Super machines cause a lightning strike when they work. Without a Lightning Rod nearby the machine itself is hit and breaks, and for the Super Blaze Enchanter that also ruins your enchantment.[3]

How does Create: Enchantment Industry work with other mods?

4 parts

Create: Enchantment Industry is built on Create and needs Create: Dragons Plus installed alongside it. In this pack it also reaches into the Apotheosis family, the Ars mods, Mystical Agriculture, Productive Bees and a few food and cake mods. Here is where those links show up in recipes and quests.[1]

Create and Create: Dragons Plus

Most of the experience loop runs on Create items. Block of Experience can be ground into Liquid Experience (27 units) in the Mechanical Grindstone, and 27 units of Liquid Experience compact back into a block. Pressing a Block of Experience gives you an Enchanting Template. The Nugget of Experience grinds into 3 units.[5]

The Blaze Enchanter, Blaze Forger and Blaze Composer are all smithing upgrades of a Blaze Burner that use the Smithing Template from Dragons Plus. The pack changes the Blaze Composer recipe.[5]

Dragons Plus also supplies the Dragon's Breath that the Infuser turns into Infused Dragon's Breath fluid. In this pack, 250 units of Dragon's Breath make 750 units of the infused fluid, and the pack changed that recipe.[5]

Apotheosis and Apothic Enchanting

This is the biggest crossover. Apotheosis materials dissolve into Apotheotic Essence or Crystal Essence in Create mixing recipes, and the pack changed every one of them. The essences then fuel the Affix Augmentor, Gem Cutter and Blaze Composer.[5]

The machines that use these items are also gated behind Apotheosis parts. The pack changed the recipes for the Gem Cutter, the Affix Augmentor and the Infuser, and they call for Apotheosis items such as Gem Dust and the pearls.[5]

In the quest book, the Gem Cutter quest comes after Crystal Essence and wants a tank of Crystal Essence below it. The Affix Augmentor quest comes after Apotheotic Essence and works the same way with that essence. The Affix Templates quest says Brass holds 1 affix level, Crystal holds 2 and Apotheotic holds 4, and that the Apotheotic template is for the Super Blaze Composer.[3]

The Brass Affix Template and Apotheotic Affix Template are made by sequenced assembly, and the pack changed both. The brass one uses Mysterious Scrap Metal. The apotheotic one uses a Godforged Pearl and 50 Apotheotic Essence.[5]

Watch out: Giving a Blaze Composer a Godforged Pearl switches it to Super Blaze Composer mode. Like other Super machines, it causes a lightning strike while working, and without lightning rods the Blaze Composer gets hit and breaks.[3]

Apothic Enchanting links in too. The Brass Bookshelf is a pack-changed sequenced assembly that starts from a Pearlescent Endshelf. The Ender Woven Bag needs Ender Lead. The bottled Infused Dragon's Breath can be emptied into 250 units of the infused fluid and filled back up with Create's emptying and filling recipes, which the pack also changed.[5]

Brass BookshelfChanged by the pack

Sequenced Assembly (create)

Other sources of Liquid Experience

Gems and droplets from other mods can be turned into Liquid Experience, so you do not have to rely only on Create's own experience items.[5]

Cakes, bees and the quest book

The pack adds a recipe for the Creative Blaze Cake. It is a mechanical crafting recipe that asks for the ATM Star, the Cake o' Enchanting and a long run of cakes from Create Crafts & Additions, Pam's HarvestCraft - Food Core and Pam's HarvestCraft 2 - Food Extended.[5]

Added by the pack, not part of the mod itself.

Productive Bees gets a link too. In a pack-changed bee conversion recipe, the Super Enchanting Template is used to make the super experience bee.[5]

The mod's quests sit in the "Create Addons" chapter of the Tech group, alongside Create Crafts and Additions quests such as the Rolling Mill and the Alternator. The Create Enchantment Industry entry starts with the Nugget of Experience ("Create Enchantment Industry" quest). The Experience Lantern, Experience Hatch, Mechanical Grindstones, Enchanting Templates and Block of Super Experience quests all follow the Block of Experience.[3]

Unverified The "Create Addons" chapter has 50 quests and the sources here only include the text of 17 of them, so other links to the rest of the pack may be covered in the quest book. Check the chapter in the quest book for the rest.

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Create: Enchantment Industry?

5 parts

All of the Create: Enchantment Industry quests live in the "Create Addons" chapter, in the Tech group (chapter 31 of 67 in the book). That chapter has 50 quests and is shared with other Create add-ons like Create Crafts and Additions, Dragons Plus, Aquatic Ambitions and train decoration. The Enchantment Industry quests all branch off one starting quest, so you can follow them as their own line.[3]

Experience first

  1. "Create Enchantment Industry" quest is the start. It asks for a Nugget of Experience, which you can get from Crushing Wheels crushing ore, Crushing Wheels killing mobs, or Deployers killing mobs. Right Click a nugget to use it up and gain the XP.[3]
  2. "Block of Experience" quest comes next and asks for a Block of Experience. Most of the rest of the line opens up from here.[3]
  3. "Experience Lantern" quest, "Experience Hatch" quest and "Mechanical Grindstones" quest all follow the Block of Experience. They ask for the Experience Lantern, the Experience Hatch and the Mechanical Grindstone, which are three ways to turn XP into Fluid Experience.[3]
  4. "Fluid Experience" quest needs all three of those quests done first. It asks for the Bucket o' Enchanting, since Fluid Experience powers a lot of the machines later on.[3]
  5. "Enchanting Templates" quest also follows the Block of Experience and asks for the Enchanting Template.[3]

Printer, Infuser and Bookshelf

Once Fluid Experience is done, three quests open: a quest in "Create Addons" for the Printer, "Automatic Infusion" quest for the Infuser, and "Brass Bookshelf" quest for the Brass Bookshelf. The bookshelf quest explains that its stats are configurable, with each one going up to 25%.[3]

Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger

"Blaze Burner Upgrade" quest needs both Enchanting Templates and Fluid Experience. It asks for the Blaze Burner upgrade smithing template from Create: Dragons Plus, and the quest says Nether bastions have them. After that, "Blaze Enchanter" quest and "Blaze Forger" quest unlock, asking for the Blaze Enchanter and the Blaze Forger. Both also need Fluid Experience done. The quest text says the Blaze Enchanter goes from level 0 to 50.[3]

Super machines

The super line starts back at the Block of Experience. "Block of Super Experience" quest asks for the Block of Super Experience, which the quest says a Block of Experience might turn into when struck by lightning. Two quests follow it: "Super Enchanting Templates" quest for the Super Enchanting Template, and "Cake o' Enchanting" quest for the Cake o' Enchanting.[3]

Then you can upgrade your machines. "Super Blaze Enchanter" quest needs the Cake, the Super Enchanting Template and the Blaze Enchanter quests done. The quest says Super Blaze Enchanters go up to level 100 and can find Treasure Enchantments. "Super Blaze Forger" quest needs the Blaze Forger, the Cake and the Super Enchanting Template quests done.[3]

Watch out: Super Blaze Enchanters and Super Blaze Forgers need a Lightning Rod nearby. The quests say that without one, lightning hits the machine and you lose it. The Super Blaze Enchanter quest adds that this ruins your enchantment too.[3]

The affix branch

This branch uses items from Apotheosis and starts from the Create Enchantment Industry quest. "Apotheothic Essence" quest asks for Arcane Sands, which you mix into Apotheotic Essence. "Crystal Essence" quest asks for Gem Dust, which you mix into Crystal Essence.[3]

Which Create: Enchantment Industry config options matter?

6 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Good news: this pack only changes the Blaze Enchanter's level limits in the Create: Enchantment Industry server config. Every other value that lists a mod default is left at that default. These changes make the Blaze Enchanter much more generous, so they are the ones to remember.[14]

Changed by the pack: Blaze Enchanter levels

Breaking enchantment limits

kinetics.enchantments.enchantmentMaxLevelExtension is 1, the mod default, so Super Enchanting extends the max enchantment level by 1. kinetics.enchantments.ignoreEnchantmentCompatibility is true, so Super Enchanting and Super Forging ignore enchantment compatibility. kinetics.enchantments.splitEnchantmentRespectLevelExtension is false, so enchantment splitting does not respect the over-capped level.[14]

Experience from Deployers and Crushing Wheels

Experience drops from both machines are switched on. kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXp and kinetics.deployerKillDropXp are true, and so is kinetics.deployerMineDropXp for blocks the Deployer mines. The Crushing Wheel chance and scale (kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXpChance and kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXpScale) are at their mod defaults. So are the Deployer scales, kinetics.deployerKillXpScale and kinetics.deployerMineXpScale, which are both 1.[14]

kinetics.deployerCollectXp is true, so Deployers collect dropped experience as Experience Nuggets. That matters because kinetics.deployerMendItem (Mending on the Deployer's held item) needs it, and it is also true. kinetics.deployerSweepAttack is true as well.[14]

Fluid capacities and Liquid Experience

Tip: The fluid capacity options are marked as requiring a server reload, so keep that in mind if you tweak them.[14]

Printer settings

Every Printer function is enabled: Enchanted Book (kinetics.fluids.enableEnchantedBookPrinting), Written Book (kinetics.fluids.enableWrittenBookPrinting), custom names (kinetics.fluids.enableCustomNamePrinting), package address (kinetics.fluids.enablePackageAddressPrinting), package pattern (kinetics.fluids.enablePackagePatternPrinting) and Create copiable items (kinetics.fluids.enableCreateCopiableItemPrinting). kinetics.fluids.printingEnchantedBookCostMultiplier is 1, and kinetics.fluids.printingGenerationChange is -3, the mod default. A value of 1 there would prevent copying a copy of a copy. The Printer denylist still stops enchanted books from being copied (kinetics.fluids.printingEnchantedBookDenylistStopCopying is true). kinetics.fluids.printingCustomNameAsItemName is false, so printed custom names show in italic rather than as a proper item name.[14]

Other values

Both kinetics.stressValues.v1.impact.mechanical_grindstone and kinetics.stressValues.v1.impact.grindstone_drain are set to 4 in this pack. The source doesn't list a mod default for these, so I can't say whether the pack changed them. kinetics.processing.regularLightningStrikeTransformXpBlockChance is 1, the mod default, which is the probability of a regular lightning strike transforming a Block of Experience.[14]

What changed in Create: Enchantment Industry between versions?

4 parts

All the Mods 10 8.3 ships Create: Enchantment Industry 2.5.4b. The mod came into the pack in All the Mods 10 2.47 as version 2.1.1, and it has been bumped many times since. Here is the pack's update trail first, then the changes worth knowing about.[2][15]

Pack update trail

  • 2.47: added at version 2.1.1.[15]
  • 3.0: updated from 2.1.1 to 2.1.5.[16]
  • 4.0: updated to 2.1.6. 4.3: updated to 2.1.7.[17][18]
  • 4.11: updated from 2.1.7 to 2.2.2b. 4.13: updated to 2.2.3. 4.15: updated to 2.2.4.[19][20][21]
  • 5.1: updated to 2.2.5b. 6.0: updated to 2.3.0. 7.0: updated to 2.3.1.[22][23][24]
  • 7.1: updated from 2.3.1 to 2.5.0-preview-alpha1. The mod author's own changelog for that build says it is a content preview and not meant for normal saves or modpacks.[25][26]
  • 7.3: updated from the preview to the full 2.5.0 release.[27]
  • 8.0: updated to 2.5.1b. 8.1: updated to 2.5.3b. 8.2: updated to 2.5.4.[28][29][30]
  • 8.3: ships 2.5.4b.[2]

Notable changes in the mod

Version 2.1.1, the one the pack started with, added datamaps for setting the forging cost multiplier, the splitting cost multiplier, the Enchanted Book printing cost and the level extension for each enchantment. It also let you disable the Printer's built-in functions one by one through config, and gave the Printer's enchanted book function a denylist. The level extension of Mending was set to 0 because all its levels have the same effect.[31]

  • 2.1.5: Experience Lanterns now pull in experience orbs, and right-clicking a Mechanical Grindstone with an empty hand no longer crashes.[32]
  • 2.1.6: fixed printingEnchantedBookCostMultiplier not affecting the printing cost, and fixed a Blaze Enchanter or Blaze Forger crash when destroyed by lightning while being pumped in.[33]
  • 2.2.3: added a compacting recipe for infested stone and a crushing recipe for infested cobblestone, and fixed the Spout using too much experience when mending.[34]
  • 2.3.0: added compat for Touhou Little Maid. Fixed a crash when rotating the Blaze Enchanter, Printers destroying their experience when broken, and Sweeping Edge on a deployer doing very low damage to non-main targets.[35]
  • 2.3.1: added support for copying schematics and fixed an item duplication bug with Sable.[36]

The 2.5.0 update

This is the biggest jump in the trail, and it reached the pack through the preview in 7.1 and the full release in 7.3. It added the Blaze Composer and Affix Templates for handling Apotheosis affixes, more customizable options for the Blaze Forger and Blaze Enchanter, better arm interaction and goggle tooltips for them, and goggle tooltips for the Gem Cutter and Affix Augmentor. The Affix Augmentor also got a configurable maximum level and a global cost multiplier.[25][27][37]

A couple of other 2.5.0 changes affect how you play. The Blaze Forger now needs you to pick its mode manually through the side panel, which the author says is better for automation setups. The Printer also gained support for Dye Depot's extended colors in banner patterns, custom names, goggles and JEI previews.[37]

Watch out: For modpack tweakers: the old server config option enchantmentMaxLevelExtension is no longer used in 2.5.0, with no automatic fallback. It is replaced by blazeEnchanterMaxLevelExtension and blazeForgerMaxLevelExtension. Some old datamaps still work through a compatibility layer, but they are deprecated and print a server log warning.[37]

Latest releases

  • 2.5.1b: restored the Infuser's documented behavior of ignoring maximum Eterna, Quanta and Arcana requirements, while keeping dynamic infusion recipe outputs.[38]
  • 2.5.3b: fixed the Infuser crashing shortly after placement with Apothic Enchanting 1.6.1 or newer.[39]
  • 2.5.4: grouped Experience Nuggets, Experience Buckets and Blocks of Experience into a single Ponder card, and fixed the Experience Hatch failing to deposit experience at very high player levels.[40]
  • 2.5.4b: fixed Experience fluid in container items from other mods not interacting properly with containers. This is the version in 8.3.[2][41]
