What is Ender IO?
2 parts
Ender IO is a full-featured tech mod. It adds armor, tools, weapons, machines, conduits, inventory management and mobs, so it works as a toolkit for building out your base's automation. The pack ships version 8.1.1-beta, and the mod has been part of it since the 1.0 release or earlier.[1][2]
Conduits
Conduits are how Ender IO moves things around. The mod lists item, fluid, energy and redstone conduits, plus conduits for Applied Energistics 2 ME, Refined Storage and Mekanism chemicals. If you already run one of those storage or chemical setups, Ender IO can plug into it.[1]
Where it fits in the pack's progression
Ender IO shows up on the ATM Star path. Chapter 4 includes a quest for the Vibrant Capacitor Bank (a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star") and another for the Sentient Ender (a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star"). So you will need to get into Ender IO's tech before you finish the ATM Star.[3]
The alloy blocks also appear in the Productive Bees quests. Bees such as the Soularium, Pulsating Alloy, Vibrant Alloy, Conductive Alloy, Energetic Alloy, Redstone Alloy, Dark Steel and End Steel bees are each paired with the matching block, for example the Soularium Block, Pulsating Alloy Block and End Steel Block. Those quests are labeled as made in the Alloy Smelter.[4]
- The Powered Spawner is Ender IO's version of the mob spawner. Its quest (a quest in "Apothic Spawners") says you need a filled Soul Vial and a Broken Spawner to craft it. After that you place it, give it a Capacitor and power it. It can also fill Soul Vials directly, with no Clicker needed.[5]
- The Yeta Wrench is one of the wrenches listed in a quest (a quest in "Industrial Foregoing") as able to rotate Industrial Foregoing machines. The quest author tested mainly on the Laser Drill, and says some wrenches might not work with other machines.[6]
How do you get started with Ender IO?
4 parts
Ender IO is a full-featured tech mod with machines, conduits, tools, armor and more. A good first chain in this pack is: get a capacitor, build an Alloy Smelter, then work toward a capacitor bank. Here is the order I'd go in, and why.[1]
Make a Basic Capacitor
Start with the Basic Capacitor. Ender IO machines need a capacitor installed before they can be used, and a machine without one tells you to insert one. Make one early so it's ready when you build your first machine.[7][8]

This is the mod's own recipe, which the pack leaves unchanged.
Build the Alloy Smelter
Next comes the Alloy Smelter. It matters because the pack's Productive Bees quests label the Ender IO alloy blocks as "Made in Alloy Smelter". Those blocks include Soularium, Pulsating, Vibrant, Conductive, Energetic, Redstone, Dark Steel and End Steel.[4]

This recipe needs a Void Chassis, so plan for it before you start.
Once it's placed, put a capacitor in it, as in the first step.[7]
Move up to a Capacitor Bank
Ender IO has an advancement for building a Capacitor Bank, so it's a natural early goal. The Basic Capacitor Bank is the first tier.[7][8]

How does Ender IO work?
8 parts
Ender IO is a full-featured tech mod with machines, conduits and inventory management. This section covers how machines, power and conduits behave, as far as the sources explain them. They give very few exact numbers, so I stick to what they actually say.[1]
Machines need a capacitor
A machine won't run until you install a capacitor in it. If one is missing, the machine tells you to insert any capacitor so it can work. The Basic Capacitor is one you can craft in this pack.[7][8]
Crafting Shaped

Capacitors also modify how a machine performs. The tooltips list modifiers for energy capacity, energy use, fuel efficiency and burning energy generation. The exact values per capacitor are not in the sources.[7]
Reading a machine's status
When a machine isn't working, its status text tells you why. These are the states the mod defines:[7]
- Active: the machine is running.[7]
- No capacitor: install one before the machine can be used.[7]
- Not enough power: the machine lacks the energy to run.[7]
- Energy full: the energy storage is full.[7]
- Input empty: there is no item in the input.[7]
- Output full: there is not enough room for the output.[7]
- Blocked by redstone: a redstone signal is stopping the machine.[7]
The Drain has its own requirement: it needs a source block under it to work.[7]
Power
The mod's energy unit is described as equivalent to FE. The photovoltaic cell produces power during daylight hours and must have a clear line of sight to the sky, so don't bury it under a roof.[7]
For storage, the mod has capacitor banks, and there is an advancement for building one. The Basic Capacitor Bank and Advanced Capacitor Bank both have recipes in the pack. You can craft the Advanced one directly, or upgrade a Basic one into it.[7][8]

Conduits
Conduits are how Ender IO moves things around. The mod has item, fluid, energy and redstone conduits, plus conduits for Applied Energistics 2 ME, Refined Storage and Mekanism chemicals.[1]
Conduit speed is described in network ticks. Item conduits show a rate in items per network tick and an effective rate in items per second. Fluid conduits show a rate in mB per network tick and an effective rate in mB/t. Fluid conduits can also carry multiple fluids on the same line.[7]
Conduits can be hidden with facades. A hardened facade resists breaking and explosions, and a transparent one hides conduits when painted with a translucent block. A conduit probe can hold copied conduit data.[7]
AE cables in this pack
The pack adds recipes that combine a Conduit Binder with an Applied Energistics 2 cable (covered, dense covered or glass) to make an Ender IO conduit. These are pack additions, not default Ender IO recipes.[1][8]

Unverified Ender IO's config options, such as any pack-specific tuning of machine power or conduit rates, would be set in the mod's config files. The sources here do not include those files, so none of that is covered.
How do you progress through Ender IO?
5 parts
Ender IO in this pack doesn't have a single tier chart, so the path below is pieced together from the pack's quests and the in-pack recipes. The quests mostly point you at three things: alloys made in the Alloy Smelter, the capacitor bank ladder, and the soul-based gear like the Powered Spawner.[3][4][5][8]
Step 1: The Alloy Smelter
Almost everything in the alloy chain starts at the Alloy Smelter. The Productive Bees quests for the Ender IO alloys are all labelled "Made in Alloy Smelter". The machine needs a Void Chassis to craft.[4][8]
Crafting Shaped
| any iron gear | any iron gear | |

Recipe id: enderio:alloy_smelter
Step 2: The alloy ladder
The pack's quests show these alloys as storage blocks: Conductive Alloy Block, Energetic Alloy Block, Pulsating Alloy Block, Vibrant Alloy Block, Redstone Alloy Block, Soularium Block, Dark Steel Block and End Steel Block. Here is one example of how such a block is crafted:[4][8]
Each of these blocks is a task in a bee quest. Examples are "Conductive Alloy Bee" quest, "Energetic Alloy Bee" quest, "Pulsating Alloy Bee" quest, "Vibrant Alloy Bee" quest, "Redstone Alloy Bee" quest, "Soularium Bee" quest, "Dark Steel Bee" quest and "End Steel Bee" quest. "Copper Alloy Bee" quest covers the copper alloy block in the same way.[4]
"Bee Of Infinity" quest asks for Reinforced Obsidian. Its quest text says a BlazBee pollinating an Obsidian Bee Spawn Egg converts it into an Infinity Bee Spawn Egg.[4][8]

Step 3: Capacitors and capacitor banks
Power storage climbs through the bank tiers below. Each one builds on the capacitor or bank below it.[8]
- Basic Capacitor Bank, built around a Basic Capacitor.[8]
- Advanced Capacitor Bank, built around a Double-Layer Capacitor. The Double-Layer Capacitor itself uses a Basic Capacitor.[8]
- Vibrant Capacitor Bank, which uses an Advanced Capacitor Bank and an Octadic Capacitor.[8]

Step 4: Soul gear
The other Chapter 4: The ATM Star task from Ender IO is the Sentient Ender. It's made by soul binding an Ender Resonator.[3][8]
The Apothic Spawners chapter has a quest for the Powered Spawner, Ender IO's version of the mob spawner. The quest text says you need a filled Soul Vial and a Broken Spawner. Place the Powered Spawner, give it a capacitor, and power it. It can also fill Soul Vials directly.[5]

There's also a soul binding recipe for the Powered Spawner and an erase recipe for it. Check them in-game if you want to reuse or reset one.[8]
Handy extra: the Yeta Wrench
The Yeta Wrench is listed in a quest in the Industrial Foregoing chapter. According to the quest text, it's one of the wrenches that can rotate Industrial Foregoing machines, tested mainly on the Laser Drill. Some wrenches might not work on other machines.[6]

Unverified The pack's own sources don't give an official tier list, quest order for the Ender IO alloys beyond the bee quests, or a recipe for the Octadic Capacitor. The in-game guide entries for Ender IO are only placeholder text. Treat the order above as a suggested path rather than a confirmed one.
How does Ender IO work with other mods?
8 parts
Ender IO is a conduit-heavy tech mod, and in this pack it plugs into a surprising number of other mods. Some links come from the mod itself, and the rest come from recipes and quests the pack adds. Here's where they show up.[1][8]
Built-in conduit support
Out of the box, Ender IO lists conduit types for Applied Energistics 2 ME, Refined Storage and Mekanism Chemicals, next to its item, fluid, energy and redstone conduits. That list comes from the mod's own project page.[1]
Mekanism
The pack adds recipes that turn Mekanism's basic, advanced and elite pressurized tubes, and its Advanced Thermodynamic Conductor, into Conduit Bundle using a Conduit Binder. Upgrade recipes start from Mekanism's Infused Alloy and Reinforced Alloy instead. All of these are added by the pack, not Ender IO defaults.[8]

Ex Deorum
Grains of Infinity come from Ex Deorum's sieves. The pack changes these recipes so that sifting Dust gives you the grains with a string, flint, iron, golden, diamond or netherite mesh. The compressed sieve has matching recipes that take any compressed dust.[8]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: exdeorum:sieve/dust/iron/grains_of_infinity
Changed by the pack: the iron mesh version. The other meshes have matching recipes.
Productive Bees
The pack changes the Productive Bees centrifuge recipes for Ender IO honeycombs. Each one gives you the matching nugget plus Wax. That covers the conductive alloy, copper alloy, dark steel, end steel, energetic alloy, pulsating alloy, redstone alloy, soularium and vibrant alloy honeycombs. The infinity honeycomb gives Grains of Infinity instead of a nugget.[8]
The Productive Bees quest chapter follows the same idea. Each of these quests asks for a bee item (comb, cage or spawn egg) together with the matching Ender IO block. All but the Bee Of Infinity quest are labelled "Made in Alloy Smelter".[4]
- "Soularium Bee" quest pairs with Soularium Block.[4]
- "Pulsating Alloy Bee" quest pairs with Pulsating Alloy Block.[4]
- "Vibrant Alloy Bee" quest pairs with Vibrant Alloy Block.[4]
- "Conductive Alloy Bee" quest pairs with Conductive Alloy Block.[4]
- "Dark Steel Bee" quest pairs with Dark Steel Block.[4]
- "Energetic Alloy Bee" quest pairs with Energetic Alloy Block.[4]
- "Redstone Alloy Bee" quest pairs with Redstone Alloy Block.[4]
- "End Steel Bee" quest pairs with End Steel Block.[4]
- "Copper Alloy Bee" quest covers the copper alloy block.[4]
- "Bee Of Infinity" quest pairs with Reinforced Obsidian. Its text says a BlazBee pollinating an Obsidian Bee Spawn Egg will convert it into an Infinity Bee Spawn Egg.[4]
All the Compressed
The pack adds compressed 1x versions of the Ender IO alloy blocks: conductive alloy, copper alloy, dark steel, end steel, energetic alloy, pulsating alloy, redstone alloy, soularium and vibrant alloy. Each has a compress recipe and a decompress recipe, both changed by the pack. For example, Dark Steel Block 1x is made from Dark Steel Block and turns back into it.[8]

Late-game crafts
Ender IO items also appear in big recipes the pack adds, which combine items from many other mods: the Improbable Probability Device and Philosopher's Fuel. The Chapter 4: The ATM Star quests a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star" and a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star" have you obtain the Vibrant Capacitor Bank and the Sentient Ender. Quest tips
The Apothic Spawners chapter has a quest for the Powered Spawner, called EnderIO's Spawner: a quest in "Apothic Spawners". Its text says you need a filled Soul Vial and a Broken Spawner, craft the Powered Spawner from the Broken Spawner, then place it, give it a Capacitor and power it. It can also fill Soul Vials directly, without a Clicker.[5]
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Ender IO?
4 parts
Ender IO items turn up in quests across a few different chapters of the pack: Productive Bees, Chapter 4: The ATM Star, Apothic Spawners and Industrial Foregoing. Here is what each one asks you for.[3][4][5][6]
Productive Bees
This chapter has the most Ender IO quests. Every bee quest unlocks after the same earlier quest, so the sources show no order between them and you can take them in whatever order suits your base. Each one has two tasks: hand in a Productive Bees item (a configurable honeycomb, a configurable comb, a configurable bee spawn egg, a bee cage or a sturdy bee cage), and hand in a matching Ender IO block. All of them except Bee Of Infinity are tagged "Made in Alloy Smelter".[4]
- "Soularium Bee" quest asks for a Soularium Block.[4]
- "Pulsating Alloy Bee" quest asks for a Pulsating Alloy Block.[4]
- "Vibrant Alloy Bee" quest asks for a Vibrant Alloy Block.[4]
- "Conductive Alloy Bee" quest asks for a Conductive Alloy Block.[4]
- "Energetic Alloy Bee" quest asks for an Energetic Alloy Block.[4]
- "Redstone Alloy Bee" quest asks for a Redstone Alloy Block.[4]
- "Dark Steel Bee" quest asks for a Dark Steel Block.[4]
- "End Steel Bee" quest asks for an End Steel Block.[4]
- "Copper Alloy Bee" quest asks for the Copper Alloy block from Ender IO.[4]
- "Bee Of Infinity" quest asks for Reinforced Obsidian instead, and it isn't tagged as made in the Alloy Smelter. The quest notes that a BlazBee pollinating an Obsidian Bee Spawn Egg converts it into an Infinity Bee Spawn Egg.[4]
Chapter 4: The ATM Star
This chapter has two untitled quests that involve Ender IO. a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star" asks for a Vibrant Capacitor Bank, and a quest in "Chapter 4: The ATM Star" asks for a Sentient Ender. The sources list no descriptions or prerequisites for either, so I can't say which one you should do first.[3]
Apothic Spawners
a quest in "Apothic Spawners", titled "EnderIO's Spawner", asks you to obtain the Powered Spawner. It unlocks after an earlier quest in the chapter.[5]
The quest describes the Powered Spawner as the Ender IO version of the Mob Spawner. You need a filled Soul Vial and a Broken Spawner, and you craft the Powered Spawner from the Broken Spawner you like. Then place it, give it a Capacitor and power it. The quest also says this spawner can fill Soul Vials directly, with no Clicker needed.[5]
Industrial Foregoing
a quest in "Industrial Foregoing" is a wrench quest. Its task accepts any one of several wrenches from different mods, and the Yeta Wrench is one of them. The quest author compiled the list because most wrenches can't rotate Industrial Foregoing machines.[6]
Which Ender IO config options matter?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.11 guide
There's nothing to tune here. The pack ships no config files for this mod, so every option runs at whatever the mod itself defaults to, and nothing has been changed for this pack.[1]
That also means you don't need to touch anything before you start building machines and conduits. Energy, item, fluid, redstone, Applied Energistics 2 ME, Refined Storage and Mekanism chemical conduits are all present in the version bundled here, as are the machines, armor, weapons, tools, enchantments and decorative blocks.[1]
Unverified Any in-game config screen this mod may expose has not been checked against the pack, so treat anything you find there as mod defaults rather than pack-tuned values.
What changed in Ender IO between versions?
3 parts
All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.0 ships Ender IO 8.1.1-beta, and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0 or earlier. The notes below come from Ender IO's own changelogs, newest first.[2]
8.1.1-beta (the version in this pack)
The developers call this a small feature and bug fix release. Here is what changed:[9]
- Energy throttling was removed, and machines that send energy now distribute it evenly.[9]
- A whitelist tag was added for capturing and spawning mobs.[9]
- With Iris shaders in use, facades are now hidden instead of being made transparent.[9]
- Fixed: item conduits could not be upgraded in place, and there was a logic problem with travel anchors.[9]
The changelog also lists an early work in progress feature called The Ender IO. It sits behind a feature flag, and the developers say experiments like this shouldn't be enabled on your primary world.[9]
The v8 alphas
The v8 alphas are where the big changes landed. 8.0.3-alpha was a hotfix for a freeze during world load when moving from v7 to v8 with upgraded conduits. It also carried the main feature list, which included a rewrite of the conduit block logic and data storage.[10]
- Item, energy, fluid and chemical conduits gained a priority option. Energy conduits also got buffed rates and now split energy equally across outputs with the same priority.[10]
- Redstone conduits gained a "strong power" option.[10]
- Filters got bigger, and an advanced item filter and big item filter variants were added.[10]
- The primitive alloy smelter was removed, and the Alloy Smelter and SAG Mill no longer require dark steel to craft.[10]
- New additions included the Attractor Obelisk, the Weather Obelisk, the wireless charger with range extending antennas, VAT recipes and a powered spawner capture mode.[10]
- The old enchantments code was removed, and the developers decided not to re-add enchantments to Ender IO at this time.[10]
8.0.4-alpha ported the Conduit Probe to 1.21.1 and added a Soul Vial whitelist tag that lets modpacks bypass the blacklist. It also fixed a bug where releasing a mob from a stack of vials deleted the rest of the stack.[11]
8.0.7-alpha was a hotfix that fixed a hang-on-load when using the attractor obelisk.[12]
7.1.8-alpha
This was the last 7.x build in the notes. It fixed powered machines not updating state correctly, ported a fix for loading large conduit networks from 1.20.1, and updated to the beta release of Refined Storage. On 28/08/2025 it was re-marked as a beta, and it was recommended over the incoming 8.0 alphas for stability.[13]
