What is AllTheTweaks?

AllTheTweaks is a mod that ships with the pack, and this pack uses version 2.8.4. For you as a player, its main job is to supply the items on the road to the ATM Star, the big end-goal item of the pack.[1][2]
Where it fits in the progression
The mod's items show up as quest tasks in Chapter 4: The ATM Star. The final quest, "&#FFDA59ATM Star" quest, asks you to hand in the ATM Star. It only unlocks after a long list of earlier quests, and seven of those prerequisites are AllTheTweaks items.[2]

Chapter 5: Creative Items has a quest called "Beginning Of The End" quest that also asks for the ATM Star. Right after it comes a quest for the ATM Star Block, described in the quest as a subtle flex that has a use.[3]

How do you get started with AllTheTweaks?

In this pack, AllTheTweaks is about one long goal: the ATM Star. The quest book lays the route out in Chapter 4, "The ATM Star", and that is the best place to start.[2]

The ATM Star quest lists the quests for the components below among its prerequisites, along with other quests. The pack adds the ATM Star recipe itself, and it is crafted in an Extended Crafting table.[2][4]

Shards and the Patrick Star
The pack has a second ATM Star recipe, which combines an ATM Star Shard with a Patrick Star. The pack also changed the Mekanism crushing recipe that turns an ATM Star into a shard.[4]

Once you have it
Chapter 5, "Creative Items", has a quest called "Beginning Of The End" quest that asks for the ATM Star. It is followed by a quest for the ATM Star Block. The block can be crafted from ATM Stars, and it can be turned back into an ATM Star.[3][4]

How does AllTheTweaks work?

In this pack, AllTheTweaks shows up as a group of special crafting items, some compact storage blocks and a small config file. The sources here don't describe machines, multiblocks or power, fluid and item handling for it, so this section covers what the recipes and config do show.[4][5]

Config
The mod's config file is config/allthetweaks-common.toml. packmode.enable is set to 2, which is the SKY mode in the file's own comment. The mod default is 0 (ATM), so the pack changed this value. The allowed range is 0 to 6.[5]
discord.discord is true, which enables Discord Rich Presence. The remaining options are version numbers: packversionmaj.major is 1 (the mod default is 1), packversionmin.minor is 0 (the mod default is 0) and packversionminrev.minorrev is 0 (the mod default is 0).[5]
How do you progress through AllTheTweaks?

AllTheTweaks has one big progression goal in this pack: building the ATM Star. The quest book gives it a whole chapter, "Chapter 4: The ATM Star". The sources don't split this mod into separate tiers, so the path is a series of component quests that all feed into the star.[2]
Each component quest asks you to obtain one item, and each unlocks only after a long list of earlier quests. The final quest, "&#FFDA59ATM Star" quest, lists every one of those component quests among its prerequisites. Its text reads: "Well, you got it. I wanna say I was skeptical but you got it."[2]

Crafting the ATM Star
Once you have every component, the pack's main ATM Star recipe is an Extended Crafting shaped table recipe added by the pack. It uses all seven components, and it also takes Allthemodium, Unobtainium and Vibranium blocks plus an Ultimate Singularity.[4]

The pack adds a second way to get an ATM Star: combine an ATM Star Shard with a Patrick Star in the same kind of table. The Patrick Star has its own pack-added recipe.[4]

Shards have other sources too. The pack changed the Mekanism crushing recipe so that an ATM Star can be crushed into an ATM Star Shard. It also changed two Productive Bees centrifuge recipes: one outputs a Patrick Star plus Wax, and the other outputs an ATM Star Shard plus a Nether Star Shard. The recipe data lists no item inputs for either centrifuge recipe.[4]

After the star: Creative Items
The next chapter, "Chapter 5: Creative Items", opens with the quest "Beginning Of The End" quest, which also asks for the ATM Star. After it comes a quest in "Chapter 5: Creative Items", described as "Subtle flex that has a use", which asks for the ATM Star Block.[3]
The block has its own mod recipe, and a shapeless mod recipe turns it back into a star. The pack also changed the AllTheCompressed decompression recipe that produces the ATM Star Block.[4]

How does AllTheTweaks work with other mods?

AllTheTweaks is the glue of this pack. Its items are crafted from other mods' items, and then they turn up again as ingredients in other mods' recipes. Almost all of these links come from recipes the pack added or changed.[4]
Building the ATM Star from other mods
The ATM Star is crafted on an Extended Crafting table, and the pack added this recipe. The recipe is shown below. Besides the AllTheTweaks components, it is where the Block of Allthemodium, Block of Unobtainium, Block of Vibranium and Ultimate Singularity come in, and each AllTheTweaks component pulls in items from many other mods.[4]

Creative items
The ATM Star is also the key ingredient for creative versions of other mods' items. The "Chapter 5: Creative Items" chapter includes "Beginning Of The End" quest, which asks for the ATM Star. The follow-up a quest in "Chapter 5: Creative Items" asks for the ATM Star Block, and its description calls it a subtle flex that has a use.[3]

Star blocks, bees and generators
- All the Compressed: the pack changed the recipes that compress and decompress the ATM Star Block, GregStar Block and Nether Star Block, with 1x versions such as ATM Star Block 1x. The Ender Pearl Block can be recovered from Ender Pearl Block 1x.[4]
- Generator Galore: the pack added the recipe for the Netherstar Generator, shown below. It is where the Netherite Generator, the Wither Skeleton Skull and the Nether Star Block come together.[4]
- Productive Bees: the pack changed a bee conversion recipe that turns an ATM Star Block into the starry bee. It also changed centrifuge recipes whose outputs are ATM Star Shard with Nether Star Shard, and Patrick Star with Wax. The imperial bee spawn egg recipe was changed too and is shown below, where the Soul Treat comes in.[4]

Which AllTheTweaks config options matter?

AllTheTweaks only has a small common config in this pack, so there's not much to dig through. The one option that really matters is the pack mode, and it's the one value the pack changed from the mod default.[5]
Pack mode
packmode.enable is set to 2 in this pack. The mod default is 0, so this is a pack change. The accepted range is 0 to 6, and the config comment maps the values like this: ATM = 0, SLOP = 1, SKY = 2, MAGIC = 3, EXPERT = 4, GRAVITAS = 5, LITE = 6. The pack's value of 2 is the SKY entry.[5]
Discord Rich Presence
discord.discord is set to true, which enables Discord Rich Presence. If you don't want the game showing up in your Discord status, this is the option to look at.[5]
Pack version numbers
Three options store the pack's version number. Each accepts values from 0 to 32,768, and in this pack all of them sit at their mod defaults:[5]
