AllTheModium in All the Mons

AllTheModium is the content mod that picks up where Netherite leaves off. It was made by the ATM team and thevortexFoxTopia, and it adds three very rare ores (Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium), smithing templates, and tools, maces and armor built on them. This pack ships version 3.0.1.^[1][2][3][4]

Where the quest book puts it

The mod has its own chapter, "Allthemodium". It opens with "Allthemodium Ingot" quest, which comes after the Ancient City quest. The Teleport Pad, Allthemodium tools, mace and armor quests come after that ingot quest, and the tools, mace and armor also need the smithing template quest.^[5]

From there the chapter follows the world. The Vibranium ingot and smithing template quests come after The Nether, the Unobtainium ingot quest comes after The End, and the Unobtainium smithing template quest comes after The Other.^[5]

The ATM Star path

Yes, the ATM Star path uses this mod. The chapter "The ATM Star" has its own "Allthemodium" quest quest, which says you will need to adventure through the mod to get items needed for the star. After it comes "Piglich Heart Block" quest, where you need 9 Piglich Hearts for a Block of Piglich Hearts.^[4]

The casing quest "The Star's Casing" quest asks for Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy, made with an Ars Nouveau Enchanting Apparatus. It also needs Uru Metal Blocks, which are alloys that use mined Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium.^[4]

Extra dimensions

The Teleport Pad takes you to The Mining Dimension from the Overworld and to The Other from the Nether. You use it by shift right clicking with both your main hand and off hand empty. The Mining Dimension is superflat, which makes it good for quarries and testing. The Other is very hostile, with dungeons and ancient pyramids full of monsters and loot.^[6][7][8]

Welcome to AllTheModium! Everything here is a progression ladder: Allthemodium first, then Vibranium, then Unobtainium. This is the order I'd go in on your first run, and why each step matters.^[5]

Step one: get a Netherite-tier pickaxe

The pack's "Allthemodium Ingot" quest quest says you need a pickaxe that is Netherite tier or higher to mine Allthemodium. The Basic Tools chapter agrees that harvest tier 5 is basically just for Allthemodium Ore.^[5][9]

Step two: find and process the ore

Allthemodium Ore is very rare. You can find it in the Deep Dark on cave walls and ceilings, very high in the Mountains above Y 170, and everywhere in the mining dimension between Y -59 and Y 20. It also generates in the deepslate layer caves of The Other.^[3][10]

Before you smelt it, the quest recommends processing the ore with Fortune, Occultism or Mekanism to get more out of it. Then turn the raw ore into an Allthemodium Ingot.^[5]

Raw ore can be blasted, and the pack also has smelting recipes for raw ore, ore and dust.

Nuggets can also be crafted into an ingot, which is handy for the next step.^[11]

Step three: make Teleport Pads

The quest recommends making two Teleport Pad blocks from the nuggets. Use one in the Overworld to reach the Mining Dimension, a superflat dimension that is handy for quarries and testing. Use the other in the Nether to reach The Other, a very hostile dimension with dungeons, ancient pyramids and loot. See the "Teleport Pad" quest quest.^[5][6][7]

Step four: find a smithing template

The Allthemodium Smithing Template is something you can only find in Ancient Cities. Brush suspicious clay in the city floors to get it, so bring a brush. See the "Allthemodium Smithing Template" quest quest.^[1][5]

The pack changes the template's own crafting recipe, so go by what the block below shows rather than the mod's defaults.^[11]

Step five: upgrade your Netherite gear

You can't craft Allthemodium tools or armor from scratch any more. You upgrade Netherite pieces using the template and an ingot, and the quests say the upgrade keeps your enchantments. The mod's tools are also indestructible.^[5][11][13]

I'd start with the pickaxe, since it unlocks the next metal. Here is the upgrade for the Allthemodium Pickaxe.^[5][11]

Armor works the same way, as a direct upgrade from Netherite armor. The full Allthemodium set gives 24 Armor Points, 20 Armor Toughness and 50% Knockback Resistance, plus perks like water breathing, fire immunity and no fall damage, so it is worth getting early.^[5][14]

What's next

With an Allthemodium pickaxe you can mine Vibranium. It shows up rarely in the Nether and abundantly in The Other. Its smithing template comes from brushing suspicious soul sand, which is found in Bastions in the Nether. After that comes Unobtainium, found very rarely in End Highlands, and you need a Vibranium pickaxe or the same tier to mine it.^[5][15][16]

AllTheModium is built around three rare metals (Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium) plus the armour, tools and smithing templates made from them. Its core systems are a progression chain of smithing upgrades, a Teleport Pad that takes you to two extra dimensions, and the crafting and processing routes for its metals.^[1][17][18]

Unverified None of the available sources describe machines, multiblocks, or power or fluid handling in AllTheModium. If you're looking for those, you'll need to rely on other mods in the pack.

The Teleport Pad

The Teleport Pad is how you reach The Mining Dimension and The Other. To use it, sneak and right-click the pad with both your main hand and your off hand empty. If you're holding anything at all, it won't fire.^[18][19]

• A Teleport Pad placed in the Overworld sends you to The Mining Dimension. It's a superflat dimension, so it works well as a spot for quarries and as a testing area.^[20]
• A Teleport Pad placed in the Nether sends you to The Other. This is a very hostile dimension with huge underground cities under biomes that have tree cover, plus dungeons and ancient pyramids full of monsters and loot.^[21]

The smithing upgrade chain

Allthemodium gear isn't crafted from scratch. You upgrade it step by step at a smithing table, and each tier needs its own smithing template. When you upgrade armour from Netherite to Allthemodium, it keeps its enchantments.^[19][23]

1. Netherite to Allthemodium: combine the Allthemodium upgrade template with a Netherite armour piece, weapon or tool, then add an Allthemodium Ingot.^[19]
2. Allthemodium to Vibranium: the Vibranium upgrade template takes an Allthemodium armour piece, weapon or tool as its base.^[19]
3. Vibranium to Unobtainium: combine the Unobtainium upgrade template with a Vibranium armour piece, weapon or tool, then add an Unobtainium ingot.^[19]

Unverified The sources don't say which material goes into the addition slot for the Vibranium upgrade. Check JEI in-game for the exact recipe. This site does hold All the Mons's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

Where the templates come from

• Allthemodium templates: brush Suspicious Clay found in the basalt of Ancient Cities. You'll need a brush for this.^[1]
• Vibranium templates: find a Treasure Bastion Remnant and brush the Suspicious Soul Sand there.^[1]
• Unobtainium templates: head to The Other and find a dungeon with a library room, which should have 2 spawners in 2 corners. Loot all of its chests, or take on the trial spawner instead.^[1]

What the gear actually does

On top of its armour, toughness and knockback resistance, Allthemodium armour gives you some big utility perks. That's what makes the upgrade worth chasing.^[23]

• Immunity to fire damage^[23]
• No fall damage^[23]

The mod's built-in tools are all indestructible, so you never have to worry about durability once you've got them.^[24]

Processing the metals

Early on, you can crush Raw Allthemodium Ore into Allthemodium Dust in a regular crafting grid using any ore hammer, no machine needed.^[25]

The mod also defines Dirty and Clean Slurry chemicals for Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium. That points to a multi-step ore processing route for all three metals.^[19]

Unverified The sources don't say which machines or mods produce and use these slurries in this pack, or what the processing yields are. Look up the slurries in JEI to see the actual chain. This site does hold All the Mons's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

Once you have ingots, the standard storage and component recipes apply. You can turn Allthemodium Nugget into ingots and back, pack ingots into a Block of Allthemodium and unpack them again, and craft ingots into a Allthemodium Gear, Allthemodium Plate or Allthemodium Rod.^[25]

If you compress your storage blocks, the pack has changed the decompression recipes that turn compressed blocks back into normal ones. This covers the metal blocks, the raw ore blocks, the alloy blocks such as Block of Vibranium - Allthemodium Alloy, and Block of Piglich Hearts, Ancient Stone and Ancient Log. Use the in-pack recipe rather than one you remember from elsewhere.^[25]

Allthemodium food

The mod's two foods are powerful emergency heals. The Allthemodium Apple gives 20 hunger and 80 saturation. It is fast to eat, can always be eaten, and grants Absorption X and Regeneration X for 30 seconds.^[26]

The Allthemodium Carrot is the stronger option, giving 40 hunger and 320 saturation. It has the same fast-to-eat and always-edible traits, plus Absorption X and Regeneration X for 30 seconds.^[27]

The AllTheModium path in this pack runs through three metals in a fixed order: Allthemodium, then Vibranium, then Unobtainium. Each tier unlocks the next one's ore and is reached by upgrading the previous tier's gear at a smithing table. At the very end, the alloys sit above all three metals.^[5][11]

Tier 1: Allthemodium

The "Allthemodium Ingot" quest quest unlocks after the Ancient City. You need a Netherite-tier (or better) pickaxe to mine the ore. The pack recommends ore processing to get more out of it, with Fortune, Occultism or Mekanism.^[5]

The ore generates in the Deep Dark on cave walls and ceilings. It is also common high in the mountains above Y 170, and it appears in the Deepslate caves of The Other. In the Mining Dimension it is found everywhere between Y -59 and Y 20.^[10]

The Allthemodium Smithing Template is another Ancient City find. You get it by brushing suspicious clay in the city floors. The pack also changed the recipe that duplicates this template, so check the recipe below rather than relying on the mod's default.^[5][11]

Tier 2: Vibranium

Vibranium ore needs an Allthemodium pickaxe or the same tier. It is rare in the Nether (above Y 64) and abundant in The Other, deep underground in caves. The pack's quest warns that it has the fewest uses of the three metals.^[5][15]

The Vibranium Smithing Template comes from brushing suspicious soul sand in Nether Bastions. Armor and tools are upgrades of the matching Allthemodium piece.^[5][11]

Tier 3: Unobtainium

Despite the name, Unobtainium ore is not found in The Beyond. It spawns very rarely in End Highlands biomes, under Y 78, usually near End Cities. You need a Vibranium pickaxe or the same tier to mine it.^[5][16]

The Unobtainium Smithing Template has to be earned by beating the Trial Spawners in the Dungeon structure in The Other, specifically in the Library Rooms. Tools and armor upgrade from the Vibranium versions.^[5][11]

Tier comparison

• Allthemodium armor: 24 armor points, 20 toughness, 50% knockback resistance. The helmet gives water breathing, the leggings Depth Strider, and the boots let you walk on powdered snow and lava. Allthemodium sword: 18 attack damage.^[5][9]
• Vibranium armor: 32 armor points, 36 toughness, 80% knockback resistance, and 75% magic damage resistance, but no new effects. Vibranium sword: 36 attack damage.^[5][9]
• Unobtainium armor: 40 armor points, 60 toughness, 100% knockback resistance, and 90% magic damage resistance, on top of the earlier effects. Unobtainium sword: 51 attack damage.^[5][9]

Each tier also has its own mace, upgraded from the previous tier's mace (the Allthemodium one starts from a vanilla mace). In the pack's recipes the mace upgrade uses a metal block rather than an ingot.^[5][11]

Beyond the three metals: alloys

The alloy ingots (Unobtainium - Allthemodium, Vibranium - Allthemodium and Unobtainium - Vibranium) are the top of the progression. In the quest book, the Allthemodium Alloy tool quests come after the three alloy ingot quests.^[5]

The Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot is made with an Ars Nouveau ritual at an Enchanting Apparatus, with 1,000 Source, the four elemental essences, Piglich Hearts, and your Unobtainium and Allthemodium ingots. The pack's quests describe the other two alloy ingots only as mixes of the metals in their names.^[5][28]

Piglich Heart items come from Piglichu. Capture one in a Pokeball and keep it in a Pasture, and it will drop hearts at random, or into a nearby chest. You can compress the hearts into a Block of Piglich Hearts.^[5][11][28]

The alloy tools include the Allthemodium Alloy Pick, the Allthemodium Alloy Axe, the Allthemodium Alloy Shovel, the Allthemodium Alloy Blade and the Allthemodium Alloy Trident. The sword is listed at 69 attack damage. The Allthemodium Alloy Paxel quest unlocks after you have the sword, pick, shovel and axe.^[5][9]

Allthemodium is mostly about its own metals, tools and armor, but this pack wires those items into recipes from several other mods. Here is where you will run into them.^[11]

Mekanism: ore processing and sawing

The pack has Mekanism recipes for all three metals: Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium. Ores, raw ore, raw blocks and shards can be purified with Liquid Oxygen into clumps. Ores, raw ore, raw blocks and crystals can be injected with Liquid Hydrogen Chloride to make shards. Ores, raw ore and raw blocks can also be dissolved with Liquid Sulfuric Acid into a dirty slurry of that metal.^[11]

The quest "Allthemodium Ingot" quest recommends processing your first Allthemodium ore with Fortune, Occultism or Mekanism to get more out of it.^[5]

Mekanism also saws every Ancient Log variant, including the stripped log, into Ancient Planks plus Sawdust. The pack adds these recipes.^[11]

Creative-tier crafts

The pack adds recipes for several creative items from other mods, and Allthemodium metals are part of them.^[11]

• Creative Chemical Tank and Creative Fluid Tank each need an Unobtainium Ingot, an ATM Star Block and the matching Ultimate tank.^[11]
• Creative Energy Cube needs a Block of Unobtainium along with an Ultimate Energy Cube.^[11]
• The creative Iron Jetpacks parts use Allthemodium blocks too. The capacitor, energy cell and thruster each take a Block of Unobtainium, and the jetpack takes a Block of Vibranium - Allthemodium Alloy.^[11]

Most of the mod's questing lives in the Allthemodium chapter, but the metals also show up in Basic Tools, Basic Armor, Master Ball, The ATM Star, Legendaries and Silent Gear. Here's the path in the order the quests unlock.^{[4][5][9][28][29][30][31]}

1. "Allthemodium Ingot" quest comes after the Ancient City quest. You need a pickaxe of Netherite tier or higher to mine the ore. The quest suggests processing the ore first with Fortune, Occultism or Mekanism to get more, then making 2 Teleport Pads from the nuggets.^[5]
2. "Allthemodium Smithing Template" quest also follows the Ancient City quest. You get the Allthemodium Smithing Template by brushing suspicious clay in the floors of the Ancient City.^[5]
3. "Teleport Pad" quest asks for the Teleport Pad. Place it in a Minecraft dimension, then shift right click with both your main hand and offhand empty to teleport.^[5]
4. "Allthemodium Mace" quest, "Allthemodium Tools" quest and "Allthemodium Armor" quest unlock once you have the ingot and the template. 9. "Unobtainium Smithing Template" quest comes after The Other. You earn the template by beating the Trial Spawners in the Dungeon structure there, specifically in the Library Rooms.^[5]
10. "Unobtainium Tools" quest, "Unobtainium Mace" quest and "Unobtainium Armor" quest finish the Unobtainium tier. Its armor gives 40 Armor Points, 60 Armor Toughness, 100% Knockback Resistance and 90% Magic Damage Resistance.^[5]
11. "Piglichu Hearts?" quest comes after the Ancient Pyramid quest. You let a Piglichu wander in a Pasture, and it drops Piglich Heart items on the ground, or into a nearby chest.^[5]
12. "Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot" quest, "Unobtainium - Vibranium Alloy Ingot" quest and "Vibranium - Allthemodium Alloy Ingot" quest are the three alloy ingots. Each one needs the Piglichu Hearts quest plus one other quest.^[5]
13. The alloy gear quests ask for the Allthemodium Alloy Axe ("Allthemodium Alloy Axe" quest), Allthemodium Alloy Pick ("Allthemodium Alloy Pick" quest), Allthemodium Alloy Blade ("Allthemodium Alloy Sword" quest), Allthemodium Alloy Shovel ("Allthemodium Alloy Shovel" quest) and Allthemodium Alloy Trident ("Allthemodium Alloy Trident" quest). The last one, "Allthemodium Alloy Paxel" quest, is the Allthemodium Alloy Paxel, and it needs the alloy sword, pick, shovel and axe quests done first.^[5]

Other chapters that use the mod

• Basic Tools: the sword quests list 18 Attack Damage for the Allthemodium sword (a quest in "Basic Tools"), 36 for Vibranium (a quest in "Basic Tools"), 51 for Unobtainium (a quest in "Basic Tools") and 69 for the alloy sword (a quest in "Basic Tools"). a quest in "Basic Tools" is listed as Tier 6 and accepts any of the Allthemodium-family pickaxes.^[9]
• Basic Tools also has "Harvest Tier 5" quest, which asks for Raw Allthemodium Ore, and "Harvest Tier 6" quest, which asks for Raw Unobtainium Ore. Tier 6 is the highest tier, and anything breakable can be mined with it, including Vibranium and Unobtainium.^[9]
• Basic Armor repeats the ingot quests ("Allthemodium" quest, "Vibranium" quest, "Unobtainium" quest) and the armor sets: "Allthemodium Armor" quest (24), "Vibranium Armor" quest (32) and "Unobtainium Armor" quest (40). Each tier is crafted from the one below it, so you need Netherite armor for Allthemodium and Allthemodium armor for Vibranium. Unobtainium armor needs Vibranium armor.^[29]
• Master Ball: "Allthemodium Metals" quest asks for the three metals, since the Poke Balls need quite a few ingots. "Soul Lava" quest asks for the Soul Lava Bucket, found deep underground in The Other or in Piglin Villages there. "Allthemodium Metal Plates" quest covers the metal plates, and stamping them is optional. "Unobtainium-Allthemodium Alloy Ingot" quest explains the Ars Nouveau alloy ritual, which uses an Enchanting Apparatus, 1,000 Source and Piglich Hearts.^[28]
• The ATM Star: "Allthemodium" quest sends you to the Allthemodium chapter for the items you need. "Piglich Heart Block" quest asks for the Block of Piglich Hearts, which takes 9 hearts. "The Star's Casing" quest needs the Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy among its casing blocks, and Soul Lava is used as foundry fuel for the Uru Metal.^[4]
• Legendaries: "Melmetal" quest (Melmetal) uses three Soul Lava Buckets on the altar.^[30]
• Silent Gear: "Soul Lava" quest explains that metals like Allthemodium melt at a heat regular lava can't reach. Regular lava gives up to 1000 C and Soul Lava gives 3000 C.^[31]
