What is Oritech?
1 part
Oritech is a tech mod built around animated machines, diverse processing options and plenty of new mechanics and equipment. Most machines are animated multiblocks, and you upgrade them with addon blocks. This pack ships Oritech 0.17.3.[1][2]
It's a big toolbox: processing machines, automated farming, electric tools and armor, item, fluid and energy pipes, drones that carry items over long distances, lasers that mine blocks, cybernetic player augmentation and even particle accelerators. If you like building a base around a growing machine chain, this mod is for you.[1]
The mod is designed to give you several ways to get the same thing. For example, plastic can come from farming items or from oil processing. That way you rarely get stuck waiting on one rare item. Many resources are also meant to be renewable through large automated farms.[1]
Where it fits in the pack
The pack has a dedicated Oritech quest chapter that walks you through the mod. Start with "Machine Cores" quest: machine cores are the basis of Oritech, you right-click a machine with a core to build it, and the core only sets how many modifiers the machine can take, not its speed or efficiency directly.[3]
- Power: the chapter covers the Basic Generator (runs on furnace fuel), the Bio Generator, the Fuel Generator (liquid fuel) and the Lava Generator. "Storing Energy" quest covers storing that power.[3]
- Processing: the Pulverizer and Centrifuge come early. The Fragment Forge is the upgrade that improves yield on all pulverisation recipes.[3]
- Crafting and alloys: the Assembler does more than craft, because it also improves yield for some other items. The Foundry is the alloy step, its quest asks for Adamant Ingot, and a later quest asks for Duratium Ingot.[3]
- Machine tiers: Improved Machine Core leads to Advanced Machine Core, which leads to Elite Machine Core.[3]
- Logistics: item, fluid and energy pipes each have their own quest, and the Pipe Booster speeds up extraction from Oritech pipes when it is powered.[3]
How do you get started with Oritech?
4 parts
Oritech is a technology-focused mod with animated machinery and diverse processing options. In this pack its quest chapter gives you a starting order, so follow it and you won't get lost. If you use a recipe viewer, the mod works best with EMI.[1][3]
Your first machines, in order
- Start with the Primitive Machine Core. The "Machine Cores" quest quest says every machine uses machine cores: you right-click a machine with a core to build it. Cores don't change a machine's speed or efficiency directly, only how many modifiers it can hold.[3]
- Build a Basic Generator for power. Its quest says it runs on furnace fuel.[3]
- Make a Pulverizer to turn your ores into dust.[3][4]
- Make a Centrifuge. Its quest calls it an important machine for your future endeavours, and the ore processing quest builds on it.[3]
- Build the Assembler. It does more than craft: the quest says it lets you craft newer items and also improves yield for some other items.[3]
Basic building components
The "Basic Building Components" quest quest comes after the assembler quest and asks for 2 Magnetic Coil and 2 Motor. It says these are used to make most machines. Both are made in the assembler with these recipes.[3][5]

The motor recipe uses a magnetic coil, so make the coils first.
Getting ore processing going
The "Ore Processing" quest quest explains the setup. You need a Centrifuge with a Fluid Addon, plus a Pulverizer or a Fragment Forge. The Fragment Forge is the better pulverizer and improves yield on all pulverisation recipes.[3]

With the fluid addon fitted, you can feed clumps into the centrifuge together with a fluid and get gems. Sulfuric Acid is the main option, and Water works for a lower yield. The pack's recipes show iron, copper, gold, nickel and platinum clumps all turning into their gems with water.[3][5]
Power and logistics next
After the basics, the "Storing Energy" quest quest covers the Portable Energy Storage and the Large Energy Storage. The "Transfering Energy" quest quest covers energy pipes, which it describes as smoothly transferring 10k rf/t.[3]
How does Oritech work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.0.2 guide
Most Oritech machines are animated multiblocks, and you upgrade them with addon blocks instead of swapping to a new machine. This section covers how addons, pipes and the bigger world-interaction machines fit together, as far as the sources go.[1]
Machines and addons
Addons attach to a machine and change what it does. The pack has recipes for Speed Addon, Efficiency Addon, Capacitor Addon, Acceptor Addon, Fluid Addon, Control Unit Addon, Inventory Proxy Addon and Silk Touch Addon.[1][6]
There are also more specialised addons: Quarry Addon, Hunter Addon, Crop Filter Addon, Steam Boiler Addon and Auxiliary Processing Chamber Addon. The Power Bank Addon Extender has its own recipe built from the capacitor addon and the Machine Addon Extender.[6]
The mod's advancement for the ultimate machine core says it lets you add excessive addons. The sources here do not give slot counts.[4]

The mod has a config option for whether addon bonuses stack additively or multiplicatively.[4]
Unverified Which stacking mode the pack uses, and how much each addon changes a machine, is set in the mod's config. The sources here do not show those values.
Pipes and logistics
Oritech has item, fluid and energy pipes, and there is only 1 pipe tier for each type. Pipes are generally pretty fast, so you don't need to chase a better tier.[1]
The mod is built with performance in mind. Pipe blocks only have block entities where needed, for example where they connect to machines. All networks are cached, and network updates are only sent when needed.[1]
For long distances, the mod also has drones that transport items across vast distances.[1]

World interaction and resources
Oritech aims for renewable resources. You can build large automated farms for fuel and items, and the bedrock extractor gives you renewable metals in the late game.[1]
Resource nodes spawn naturally in the world and feed the bedrock extractors, and oil wells spawn too. They are there to push you into building auxiliary bases and moving the output to a central hub.[1]
Lasers are another way to automate mining. The laser arm block mines blocks automatically, and its advancement mentions using it to mine fluxite.[1][4]
Big multiblocks
The mod includes particle accelerators, and the Particle Accelerator Guide Ring is a guide ring for them. It also has a nuclear reactor you build yourself, and the pack has a recipe for the Reactor Coolant Absorber Port.[1][4][6]

How do you progress through Oritech?
5 parts
As this version's quest book lays it out, Oritech progression is one quest chapter that branches out from the Oritech Beginnings quest. Most early machines hang directly off it, and the later steps chain through the Assembler, the Enderic Laser and the Atomic Forge. Here is the path in the order the quests push you along.[3]
Getting started: cores, coils and motors
Everything starts with "Machine Cores" quest. You right-click a machine with a machine core to build it. Cores don't change speed or efficiency directly. They only set how many modifiers a machine can take. The first one is the Primitive Machine Core.[3]
Crafting Shaped

Next comes the Assembler ("Putting things together" quest). Its quest says it crafts newer items and also improves yield for some other items. After it, "Basic Building Components" quest asks for 2 Magnetic Coil and 2 Motor. The quest describes these as parts used to make most machines, and the Motor recipe below is an Assembler recipe.[3][5]
Assembler (oritech)

For power, the quest chapter offers several generators, which all hang directly off the first quest of the chapter:[3]
- The quest for the Basic Generator says it runs on furnace fuel.[3]
- The quest for the Fuel Generator says it uses liquid fuel to generate power.[3]
- The quest for the Lava Generator says it runs on lava.[3]
- The quest for the Bio Generator says you make biomass to use it.[3]
Then you can store and move that energy with "Storing Energy" quest and "Transfering Energy" quest. The pipe quest is themed around moving 10k rf/t. Liquids and items have their own pipe quests. The Pipe Booster boosts the extraction speed of Oritech pipes.[3]
Ore processing
In the quest book, the Pulverizer and the Centrifuge are the starting point for ore processing. The quest for the Fragment Forge presents it as a better pulverizer that improves yield on all pulverisation recipes.[3]
The Ore Processing quest is titled "Maximum output" and says you need a Centrifuge with a Fluid Addon plus a Pulverizer or Fragment Forge. The Spinning into gems quest explains that with the fluid addon you can feed in Sulfuric Acid to turn clumps into gems, or use water for a lower yield. That quest also notes that, currently, some recipes are broken and output dusts or nuggets, so check what you actually get.[3][5]

Alloys and the Enderic Laser
The Foundry quest asks for 4 Adamant Ingot. Adamant can also come from smelting or blasting Adamant Dust. The pack also adds alloying recipes for it from other mods.[3][5]

After that comes the Enderic Laser. In the quest book, its quest lists these uses:[3]
- The quest says it can transfer energy.[3]
- The quest says it is used to transform materials.[3]
- The quest says it can break blocks.[3]
- The quest says it speeds up amethyst growth.[3]
In the quest book, the laser leads to the Hunter Addon ("Hurting Mobs" quest), which lets it target mobs. It also leads to a quest for 4 Fluxite, by charging amethyst. The pack adds more routes to Fluxite: AE2 charging, Powah energizing and Productive Metalworks casting.[3][5]
In the quest book, Fluxite and a Processing Unit lead to the Flux Gate, which many later recipes need. The quests also ask for Enderic Compound (the Centrifuge makes it from sculk, and the pack changes the ender pearl route), plus 8 Duratium Ingot. The pack gives duratium several alloying and casting routes.[3][5]

The Atomic Forge and beyond
The Atomic Forge quest calls it the ultimate crafting machine. In the quest book it comes after the duratium, Enderic Compound and Flux Gate quests. The quest says it can only be powered by Enderic Lasers and is used to craft high value items.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| any plastic plate | any plastic plate | |

From there the quest line runs in this order:[3]
- The quest asks you to make 8 Silicon Wafer.[3]
- The next quest asks for 4 Advanced Computing Engine.[3]
- Then it asks for 2 Super AI Chip.[3]
- Then it asks for the Heisenberg Compensator.[3]
- The line finishes with the Manhattan Module (a quest in "Oritech"). In the quest book, that quest also follows the quest for 2 Plutonium Pellet, and the pack has Assembler recipes for the pellet.[3][5]
The quest for Plutonium Dust says it comes from charging Uranite Crystal found around the world. In this pack the matching recipe is a Powah energizing recipe.[3][5]
The core ladder
In the quest book, machine cores run in a separate chain of quests: Improved Machine Core, then Advanced Machine Core, Elite Machine Core and finally Ultra Machine Core. Each of the last three quests comes after the previous core's quest.[3]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: oritech:crafting/core5
The quest book also has addon quests, such as speed, efficiency, capacitor, acceptor and the Machine Addon Extender. They sit in the chapter as extra steps for tuning your machines.[3]
How does Oritech work with other mods?
6 parts
Oritech is designed around having several ways to get the same thing, so it plugs into a lot of other mods in this pack. Most of the links below are recipes that the pack changes or adds, so you can feed other mods' materials into Oritech machines and the other way round.[1][5]
Ore processing and All the Ores items
Oritech's processing machines output All the Ores items. The Pulverizer turns raw copper, gold, iron and nickel into dust such as Copper Dust, plus a small Oritech dust on the side. The grinder works in a similar way but gives clumps such as Iron Clump. Oritech's resource nodes feed the deep drill, which gives you Raw Nickel, Raw Platinum and Raw Uranium.[3][5]
Uranium also feeds Oritech's own materials. Grinding uranium gives Uranium Dust and Small Plutonium Dust, and the centrifuge has a recipe for uranium clumps with the same two outputs. Small Oritech dusts and clumps can also be crafted up into the full All the Ores versions.[5]
Gems into ingots, four ways
Nickel Gem and Platinum Gem become Nickel Ingot and Platinum Ingot in several places. These are the Oritech Foundry, a furnace or blast furnace, Immersive Engineering's alloy furnace and arc furnace, and Create's mixing.[5]
Mixing (create)
Recipe id: oritech:mixing/compat/create/platinumgem
Productive Metalworks
Productive Metalworks can melt Oritech gems, small clumps and small dusts of copper, gold, iron, nickel and platinum into molten metal. It can also alloy and cast Oritech's own metals: Molten Adamant is alloyed from Molten Diamond and Molten Nickel, and Biosteel Ingot, Duratium Ingot and Energite Ingot are alloyed and then cast into ingots. Fluxite and Biomass can be cast with a Gem Cast.[5]

Mekanism and Immersive Engineering
Mekanism's metallurgic infusing can make Adamant Dust and Biosteel Dust. Oritech's centrifuge and grinder also process Mekanism osmium into Osmium Dust, clumps and nuggets, with Small Platinum Dust or Small Platinum Clump as a bonus.[5]
Metallurgic Infusing (mekanism)

From Immersive Engineering, the Oritech centrifuge can turn HOP Graphite Dust into Carbon Fibre Strands. The grinder can process aluminum ore into Raw Aluminum and Quartz Dust.[5]
Fuel, plastic and pipes
The centrifuge can make Turbofuel (Turbofuel) from Industrial Foregoing's Biofuel or PneumaticCraft's Crude Oil. It can also use Sulfuric Acid to process zinc, lead, osmium and tin clumps, which are tied to Create and Mekanism. PneumaticCraft's Molten Plastic can be converted into Oritech's Plastic Sheet in the cooler.[5]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Oritech?
6 parts
The Oritech quests sit in a single chapter called "Oritech". Almost every quest asks you to get one machine or component and hand it in, so the chapter works as a tech tree. Most of the early quests unlock after a starting quest called "Oritech Beginnings", which isn't listed in the sources here. Everything below is what the quest entries say in this pack version. One quest text carries a "currently" caveat about broken recipes, and I flag it where it comes up.[3]
First steps after Oritech Beginnings
- "Machine Cores" quest asks for a Primitive Machine Core. The quest text says machine cores are the basics of Oritech: you right-click machines with them to build them, and they do not affect speed or efficiency directly, only the number of modifiers.[3]
- "Putting things together" quest asks for an Assembler. The quest text says assemblers let you craft newer items and also improve yield for some other items.[3]
- "Basic Building Components" quest unlocks after both Oritech Beginnings and the Assembler quest. It asks for 2 Magnetic Coil and 2 Motor, which the quest describes as used to make most machines.[3]
Power generation and storage
Four generator quests unlock straight after the starting quest. They ask for the Basic Generator (the quest blurb says it runs on furnace fuel), the Bio Generator (blurb: make biomass to use it), the Fuel Generator (blurb: use liquid fuel to generate power) and the Lava Generator (blurb: runs on lava).[3]
"Storing Energy" quest asks for a Portable Energy Storage and a Large Energy Storage. "Transfering Energy" quest asks for an Energy Pipe, a Framed Energy Pipe and an Energy Pipe Duct, and its blurb gives the goal as smoothly transferring 10k rf/t.[3]
Moving items, fluids and power
- "Transporting items" quest asks for the Opaque Item Pipe, Transparent Item Pipe, Framed Item Pipe, Item Pipe Duct and Item Filter.[3]
- "Transporting liquids" quest asks for 6 Fluid Pipe, a Framed Fluid Pipe, a Fluid Pipe Duct and a Portable Tank.[3]
- The Pipe Booster quest (a quest in "Oritech") says you use power with it to boost the extraction speed of Oritech pipes.[3]
- The Drone Port quest (a quest in "Oritech") text says drone ports require a minimum of 50 blocks distance to work. It tells you to place 2 of them, sneak right-click a Target Designator on one to store its location, then put the designator in the second port's UI. After that, the port holding the designator launches a drone when it has items.[3]
Ore processing branch
Three processing quests also unlock right after the starting quest. They ask for the Pulverizer (a quest in "Oritech"), the Centrifuge (a quest in "Oritech", whose text calls it an important machine for your future endeavours), and the Foundry together with 4 Adamant Ingot (a quest in "Oritech").[3]
- The Pulverizer quest leads to the Fragment Forge (a quest in "Oritech"), which the quest text says improves yield on all pulverisation recipes.[3]
- The Centrifuge quest leads to the Fluid Addon (a quest in "Oritech") and to Enderic Compound (a quest in "Oritech").[3]
- "Ore Processing" quest unlocks after the Fragment Forge and Fluid Addon quests. It accepts any one of the iron, platinum, gold, copper, nickel or uranium gems, such as the Iron Gem. The quest text says that to process ores with Oritech you need a Centrifuge with a Fluid Addon and a Pulveriser or Fragment Forge.[3]
- "Spinning into gems" quest unlocks after a quest named "Clumps" and takes the same kinds of gems. Its text says a fluid addon on a centrifuge lets you input Sulphuric Acid to turn clumps into gems, or Water for a lower yield. It also carries a note that currently some recipes which output dusts or nuggets are broken, so that caveat applies to those recipes as the quest describes them.[3]
- The Carbon Fibre Strands quest (a quest in "Oritech") asks for 4 and unlocks after both the Pulverizer and Centrifuge quests.[3]
The refinery quest (a quest in "Oritech") asks for a Refinery and 2 Refinery Chamber Module. It unlocks after a quest called "Refining Ores", which isn't covered in the sources here.[3]
Machine cores and addons
The core upgrades form a chain. The quest for the Improved Machine Core (a quest in "Oritech") has no prerequisite listed. After it come the Advanced Machine Core (a quest in "Oritech"), the Elite Machine Core (a quest in "Oritech") and finally the Ultra Machine Core (a quest in "Oritech").[3]
The addon quests all unlock after a separate quest that isn't covered in these sources. Their blurbs go with the Capacitor Addon (increase energy capacity), Auxiliary Processing Chamber Addon (doing multiple recipes at once), Acceptor Addon (increase energy input rate), Efficiency Addon (using less energy), Speed Addon (increase processing speed) and a second Fluid Addon quest (use fluid in machines). The Machine Addon Extender quest (a quest in "Oritech") says that placed on an addon slot it gives you more space for your addons.[3]
Lasers, the Atomic Forge and beyond
- The Enderic Laser quest (a quest in "Oritech") asks for a Enderic Laser and a Target Designator. It unlocks after the Assembler quest and the Foundry quest. The quest text lists four uses: transferring energy, transforming materials, breaking blocks and speeding up amethyst growth.[3]
- Three quests follow the laser. "Hurting Mobs" quest asks for the Hunter Addon, which its blurb says allows the laser to target mobs. a quest in "Oritech" asks for Plutonium Dust, and its text says you get it by charging Uranite Crystals found around the world. a quest in "Oritech" asks for 4 Fluxite, and its blurb is to charge amethyst with the laser.[3]
- a quest in "Oritech" asks for a Processing Unit after the Assembler quest. Together with the Fluxite quest, it unlocks the Flux Gate (a quest in "Oritech").[3]
- a quest in "Oritech" asks for 8 Duratium Ingot after the Foundry quest. Its blurb says to mix netherite and platinum.[3]
- The Atomic Forge quest (a quest in "Oritech") needs the Duratium, Enderic Compound and Flux Gate quests first. Its blurb calls it the ultimate crafting machine, and its text says it can only be powered by Enderic Lasers.[3]
- After the Atomic Forge, the chain runs through 8 Silicon Wafer (a quest in "Oritech"), 4 Advanced Computing Engine (a quest in "Oritech"), 2 Super AI Chip (a quest in "Oritech") and the Heisenberg Compensator (a quest in "Oritech").[3]
- The last quest, a quest in "Oritech", asks for the Manhattan Module (Manhattan Module). It needs the Heisenberg Compensator quest and a quest asking for 2 Plutonium Pellet (a quest in "Oritech"), which unlocks after the Assembler quest.[3]
The reactor controller quest (a quest in "Oritech") asks for the Nuclear Reactor Controller and unlocks straight after the starting quest.[3]
