AllTheModium guide for All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.6 to 1.9.1

AllTheModium adds three super-rare metals to the pack: Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium. Each one comes with its own ingots, smithing templates, tools and armor. The pack ships version 2.9.4 of the mod.^[1][2][3]

This is endgame gear for when you're done with Netherite. The pack's quest book covers it in Chapter 3: AllTheModium. In this pack your first Allthemodium comes from sieving, which gives you Allthemodium Nugget. Diamond or Netherite mesh works, Netherite has better chances, and Crushed Blackstone drops it more often than Sand. Nine nuggets make one Allthemodium Ingot.^[4]

Where it fits in your progression

• Gear upgrades: you combine an ingot, the Allthemodium Smithing Template and Netherite gear. The tools and armor are unbreakable. The armor gives 24 armor points, 20 toughness and 50% knockback resistance, and you can still use trims on it.^[4]
• Armor perks: Allthemodium armor also gives water breathing, no crash damage when flying with an Elytra, fire immunity and no fall damage. Upgrading from Netherite keeps your enchants.^[5]
• Vibranium: the quest line has you make Vibranium Ingot in the Ender Crafter, then move on to the Vibranium Smithing Template for the next gear tier.^[4]
• Food: the Allthemodium Carrot gives 20 food points and 160 saturation. The Allthemodium Apple gives 10 hunger and 40 saturation, plus Regeneration and Absorption.^[4]

The mod also adds The Other, a very hostile dimension reached with the Teleport Pad in the Nether. It holds dungeons and ancient pyramids full of monsters and loot, and Vibranium ore can be found deep underground there.^[8][9]

Unverified The sources I have don't show which route the pack's quests use for Unobtainium, so check the rest of Chapter 3 in your quest book.

Welcome to AllTheModium! In this pack the path is simple: get nuggets, turn them into ingots, then use those ingots to upgrade your Netherite gear. Here is the order I'd go in.^[4]

Get your first nuggets

The pack's quest chapter "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" quest starts with Allthemodium Nugget, and you originally get it from sieving. You need either a Diamond Mesh or a Netherite Mesh, and Netherite gives you higher chances. You can sieve Crushed Blackstone or Sand, but Blackstone has the higher chance of dropping AllTheModium.^[4]

If you'd rather mine, the ores are very rare. Raw Allthemodium Ore can be smelted or blasted into an ingot, and Allthemodium ore itself spawns in the Deep Dark on cave walls and ceilings.^[3][10][11]

Craft an ingot

Collect 9 nuggets and craft one Allthemodium Ingot. On its own the ingot doesn't do much, but everything else in the mod builds on it.^[4][11]

Later on, the quest suggests smelting the ingot in a Foundry and pouring the result over an Ancient Bee to start automating AllTheModium.^[4]

Get an upgrade template

Your gear upgrades need an Allthemodium Smithing Template. The quest says a block of AllTheModium is what you use to make the first one. After that you can duplicate it with a Netherite Ingot and Deepslate, and the pack has changed that duplication recipe from the mod's own version.^[4][11]

Upgrade your Netherite gear

With an ingot, a template and a piece of Netherite gear, you can upgrade it in a smithing table. The tools are a good first target: they are faster and stronger than Netherite and have no durability, so they never break. The Allthemodium Pickaxe can also mine blocks that Netherite and below can't.^[4][11][12]

If you want to spend nuggets on food, the Allthemodium Carrot and Allthemodium Apple are both fast to eat, can be eaten even when you're full, and give Absorption and Regeneration.^[4][6][7]

Here's the honest picture: the project page describes AllTheModium as a mod that adds items, namely allthemodium, vibranium and unobtainium templates, armor and tools. The sources I have don't document any machines, multiblocks, power use, fluid handling or automation for it, so this section stays short.^[1]

The Teleport Pad

The Teleport Pad takes you to The Mining Dimension and The Other. To use it, sneak and right-click with both your main hand and off hand empty.^[13][14]

• The Mining Dimension: use a Teleport Pad in the Overworld. It's a superflat dimension, handy for setting up quarries and as a testing area.^[15]
• The Other: use a Teleport Pad in the Nether. It's a very hostile dimension with underground cities, dungeons and ancient pyramids.^[8]

Processing by hand

The recipes I can see for Allthemodium dust don't use a machine. They use an ore hammer in the crafting grid.^[11]

Compacting and breaking down the metal is plain crafting too. Ingots, nuggets and storage blocks convert back and forth using any matching tagged item.^[11]

Smithing upgrades

The gear tiers are upgraded with the mod's smithing templates. The slot descriptions show the chain: the Allthemodium upgrade takes Netherite armor, weapons or tools plus an Allthemodium Ingot. The Unobtainium upgrade takes Vibranium gear plus an Unobtainium Ingot. The Vibranium upgrade takes Allthemodium gear.^[14]

When you upgrade armor from Netherite, it keeps its enchantments. Allthemodium tools are indestructible.^[5][12]

Slurries

The mod registers clean and dirty slurries for Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium.^[14]

AllTheModium is a three-metal ladder: Allthemodium, then Vibranium, then Unobtainium. Each tier's gear is a smithing upgrade of the previous tier's gear, and each tier has its own smithing template. The pack's Chapter 3 quests walk you through it in this order, starting from "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" quest.^[4][11]

Harvest tiers

The pack's Basic Tools quests explain where these metals sit on the harvest scale. Tier 5 is basically just for Allthemodium Ore. Tier 6 is the highest tier, and anything breakable can be mined with it, including Vibranium and Unobtainium. The Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium pickaxes are all listed under Tier 6.^[16]

Step 1: Allthemodium

You first get Allthemodium Nugget by sieving. A Diamond Mesh or a Netherite Mesh works, and Netherite has better chances. You can sieve Crushed Blackstone or Sand, and Blackstone has the higher chance of dropping Allthemodium. The pack adds the Diamond Mesh and Crushed Blackstone recipe shown below.^[4][11]

Next, craft the nuggets into an Allthemodium Ingot for the "AllTheModium" quest quest. On its own the ingot doesn't do much. The quest suggests smelting it in a Foundry and pouring it over an Ancient Bee to start automating, or using a block of it to make your first AllTheModium Smithing Template.^[4][11]

Allthemodium gear is a smithing upgrade of Netherite gear. You need the ingot, the Allthemodium Smithing Template and the matching Netherite piece. The mace is the exception: it uses a block of Allthemodium instead of an ingot.^[4][11]

Allthemodium tools are indestructible. The Allthemodium Pickaxe can mine blocks that Netherite and below can't. The armor keeps its enchantments when you upgrade it from Netherite, and it gives Water Breathing, no crash damage when flying with an Elytra, fire immunity and no fall damage.^[4][5][12]

Step 2: Vibranium

The "Vibranium" quest quest has you make Vibranium Ingot at the Ender Crafter. You put a Crystaltine Ingot in the middle slot and surround it with GeOre Shards: Quartz, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald, Uranium and 2 Uraninite.^[4]

The first Vibranium Smithing Template uses normal crafting. The quest says it needs an AllTheModium Upgrade, 7 AllTheModium Ingots and a Block of Vibranium. Every later one needs another Vibranium template, 7 AllTheModium Ingots and Ancient Stone, as in the recipe below.^[4][11]

Ancient Stone comes from Soul Lava. Once you have enough, you can put it into a Soul Lava Bucket. The quest then has you use a Stone Generator with Soul Lava and Packed Ice on its sides and an AllTheModium Block underneath. The cheaper option is Blue Ice with an Oxidized Copper Block below. The pack also adds a block generator recipe for Ancient Stone.^[4][11]

Vibranium gear upgrades from the matching Allthemodium piece, using a Vibranium Ingot and the Vibranium template. The mace takes a Vibranium Block instead of an ingot. Don't skip the Vibranium Pickaxe, because the quests say you need it to mine Unobtainium.^[4][11]

Step 3: Unobtainium

Mine the Unobtainium Ore with a Vibranium Pickaxe or equivalent, and ore-process it to get the most out of it. Then smelt or blast the raw ore into an Unobtainium Ingot.^[4][11]

Your first Unobtainium Smithing Template needs a Block of Unobtainium, 7 Vibranium Ingots and a Vibranium template. You can duplicate it with another 7 Vibranium Ingots and a single End Stone.^[4][11]

Unobtainium gear upgrades from Vibranium gear with an Unobtainium Ingot and the Unobtainium template. The mace uses an Unobtainium Block instead of an ingot.^[11]

• Allthemodium: Sword 18 damage at 2.6 attack speed, Axe 22 damage at 0.8, Mace 13 damage at 19. Armor is 24 points, 20 toughness and 50% knockback resistance.^[4]
• Vibranium: Sword 36 damage at 3.6 attack speed, Axe 38 damage with 16 mining speed, Mace 26 damage at 20. Armor is 32 points, 36 toughness and 80% knockback resistance.^[4]
• Unobtainium: Sword 51 damage at 4.4 attack speed, which the quest says is 3 hits on the Ender Dragon. Axe 51 damage at 1.2 with 18 mining speed, Mace 36 damage at 22. Armor is 40 points, 60 toughness and 100% knockback resistance.^[4]

Snacks

If you'd rather eat your metal, the quests cover the Allthemodium Carrot and Allthemodium Apple. The quest text says the carrot gives 20 food points and 160 saturation, while the apple gives 10 food points and 40 saturation plus Regeneration and Absorption.^[4]

AllTheModium doesn't live on its own in this pack. Its ores, ingots, logs and fluids show up in recipes from several other mods, and the pack adds a bunch of those links itself. Here's where they are.^[11]

Ex Deorum: where the nuggets come from

Your first Allthemodium Nugget comes from sieving. The pack adds sieve recipes that pair either a Diamond Mesh or a Netherite Mesh with Crushed Blackstone or Sand. The quest says Netherite mesh gives higher chances, and Crushed Blackstone has better odds of dropping AllTheModium than Sand. You'll meet this in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" quest.^[4][11]

Mekanism: ore processing and sawing

The pack changes the ore processing for all three metals through Mekanism machines. Liquid Oxygen turns ores, raw materials, raw blocks or shards into clumps. Liquid Hydrogen Chloride turns ores, raw materials, raw blocks or crystals into shards. Liquid Sulfuric Acid dissolves ores, raw materials or raw blocks into dirty slurry. The Unobtainium quest also nudges you to ore process it to get the most out of it.^[4][11]

Soul Lava, Ancient Stone and rituals

The pack adds an Industrial Foregoing laser drill recipe for Soul Lava, tied to the Blue Laser Lens. The exact recipe is shown below. Once you have enough, you can bottle it into a Soul Lava Bucket. The quest suggests using it as a heat source for Crucibles or Thermo Generators, or tossing it into a Magmator.^[4][11]

Soul Lava is also how you get Ancient Stone. You use a Stone Generator with an AllTheModium Block underneath it, or a cheaper setup with Blue Ice and an Oxidized Copper Block. The details are in "Ancient Stone" quest.^[4]

Occultism gets involved with the Demonic Sapling. The pack adds a ritual for it that uses Ancient Stone, a Soul Lava Bucket, Occultism items and ingots of AllTheModium, Unobtainium and Vibranium.^[11]

Creative-tier crafts

The pack adds recipes that use Unobtainium to craft creative-tier gear from other mods, and some also use the ATM Star family. These include the Mekanism creative tanks and energy cube, and the Iron Jetpacks creative capacitor, cell, jetpack and thruster. Some of them also pull in Powah and Mystical Agradditions items.^[11]

Other quest-line links

The quests mention a few more crossovers. Vibranium comes from the Ender Crafter, using a Crystaltine Ingot surrounded by GeOre shards. The AllTheModium gear upgrades start from Netherite gear, or from other mods' top-tier gear such as the Arcanist set. You can also duplicate the first smithing template using Netherite Ingots and Deepslate.^[4]

Most of the AllTheModium story lives in "Chapter 3: AllTheModium" quest, the dedicated chapter that walks you from your first nugget up to Unobtainium armor. The mod also shows up in a few other chapters: Basic Tools, Basic Armor, Food and Farming, Ars Nouveau and Chapter 2: The Cool Parts.^{[4][16][17][18][19][20]}

Chapter 3: AllTheModium

The chapter starts by asking for an Allthemodium Nugget. You first get nuggets by sieving. You need a Diamond Mesh or a Netherite Mesh, and Netherite gives better chances. You can sieve Crushed Blackstone or Sand, and Blackstone has the higher chance of dropping AllTheModium.^[4]

Soul Lava and Ancient Stone

"Soul Lava" quest unlocks after the Making Soul Lava quest and asks for an Soul Lava Bucket. The quest says you can use it for recipes, as a heat source for Crucibles or Thermo Generators, or in a Magmator. "Ancient Stone" quest follows it and asks for Ancient Stone, which comes from a Stone Generator running on Soul Lava. The quest also names a cheaper setup that uses Blue Ice.^[4]

Vibranium

"Vibranium" quest asks for the Vibranium Ingot. It comes after the Uraninite GeOre and Crystaltine Ingot quests, and you make it in the Ender Crafter. Next, "Vibranium Smithing Template" quest asks for the Vibranium Smithing Template, which uses normal crafting. The quest explains how your first template differs from the duplicates.^[4]

Unobtainium

"Unobtainium" quest unlocks after The End quest and the Vibranium tools. It asks for an Unobtainium Ingot from mining and ore-processing Unobtainium. "Unobtainium Upgrade Template" quest then asks for the Unobtainium Smithing Template, and the quest says it follows the same pattern as the Vibranium one.^[4]

Other chapters

• Basic Tools has sword damage quests for the AllTheModium (18), Vibranium (36) and Unobtainium (51) swords, plus the Allthemodium Alloy Blade (69). A Tier 6 pickaxe quest accepts the AllTheModium, Vibranium, Unobtainium or Allthemodium Alloy Pick pickaxes.^[16]
• Also in Basic Tools, "Harvest Tier 5" quest asks for a nugget and says Tier 5 is basically just for Allthemodium Ore. "Harvest Tier 6" quest asks for Raw Unobtainium Ore and says Tier 6 can mine anything breakable, including Vibranium and Unobtainium.^[16]
• Basic Armor has an armor quest for each metal: "Allthemodium Armor" quest, "Vibranium Armor" quest and "Unobtainium Armor" quest. Each tier needs the previous armor to craft, and the AllTheModium set needs Netherite.^[17]
• Food and Farming has a quest that asks for the carrot or the apple. It unlocks after a nugget-or-ingot quest and Gilded Foods.^[18]
• Ars Nouveau has "Unobtainum Source Jar" quest for the Unobtainium Source Jar. It holds 100,000 source, compared with 10,000 for a normal jar, and it is an ingredient in the Creative Source Jar.^[19]
• Chapter 2: The Cool Parts has a quest that asks for a nugget after The best Meshes!, and it points you ahead to the dedicated AllTheModium chapter.^[20]
