What is Reliquary Reincarnations?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 5.5 guide

Reliquary Reincarnations is part of this pack, which ships version 2.0.65 of the mod built for Minecraft 1.21.1. It isn't a new addition either: it has been in the pack since an early release.[1]

Unverified No confirmed details are available yet on what the mod adds, who it's aimed at, or how it fits into the pack's progression, so those parts of the overview are on hold until they can be checked.

How do you get started with Reliquary Reincarnations?

5 parts

Reliquary is a mod built around mob drops, so your first job is to get out and hunt. The Catalyzing Gland is a Creeper/Ghast drop, and the Bat Wing is a bat drop. Many of the recipes below lean on those drops, so grab a few before you start.[2]

Watch out: The Tome of Alkahestry is disabled in this pack (disable.alkahestryTome is true), so don't plan around duplicating items with it. Also, dropCraftingRecipesEnabled is false here.[3]

Step 1: Potion vials and the Apothecary set

The potion system is switched on in this pack. The Apothecary Mortar grinds ingredients into potion essence, and the Apothecary Cauldron brews potions from that essence. The pack changes both the mortar recipe and the cauldron recipe, so use the recipes below.[2][3][4]

The Condensed Potion Vial is also changed by the pack. It's your container for the potion side of the mod.[4]

Step 2: Altar of Light

The Altar of Light takes redstone and grows glowstone. In this pack it costs 3 redstone to activate (blocks.altar.redstoneCost) and takes 20 minutes to make a glowstone block (blocks.altar.timeInMinutes), with up to 5 minutes of random variance added on top (blocks.altar.maximumTimeVarianceInMinutes). All three match the mod defaults.[2][3]

Step 3: The Hunter's Handgun

The Hunter's Handgun recipe is changed by the pack, and so are the bullet and magazine recipes below. The handgun, bullets, magazines and gun parts are all enabled here. The handgun reaches its fastest reload and shortest shot cooldown at experience level 20, set by items.handgun.maxSkillLevel.[3][4]

Step 4: Lilypad of Fertility

The Lilypad of Fertility speeds up crop growth. In this pack it causes growth ticks within a radius of 4 (blocks.fertileLilypad.tileRange), once every 10 seconds (blocks.fertileLilypad.secondsBetweenGrowthTicks). The pack adds its own simple crafting recipe for it, plus a second, much more expensive awakening recipe.[2][3][4]

A handy extra: Lantern Of Paranoia

The Lantern Of Paranoia uses the mod's own recipe, unchanged by the pack. The config sets its torch placement scan radius to 6 and its minimum light level to 1, via items.lanternOfParanoia.placementScanRadius and items.lanternOfParanoia.minLightLevel.[3][4]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work?

6 parts

The mod's block tooltips describe a handful of single-purpose blocks: the Altar of Light, the potion setup (the mortar and the cauldron), the pedestals, the Fertile Lily Pad and the Interdiction Torch. There is also a gunpowder-fed tool, the Destruction Catalyst. Every number below comes from the pack's own config file.[2][3]

Altar of Light

The mod's description says the Altar of Light turns redstone into glowstone. Right-click it with redstone until it activates, and after some time a glowstone block appears on top of it. It needs direct sunlight to work.[2][4]

In this pack, activating it costs 3 redstone (blocks.altar.redstoneCost). It takes 20 minutes (blocks.altar.timeInMinutes), plus a random extra of up to 5 minutes (blocks.altar.maximumTimeVarianceInMinutes). While active it gives off light level 16 (blocks.altar.outputLightLevelWhileActive). All of these match the mod defaults.[3]

Watch out: The mod's description says you can turn glowstone back into redstone with Alkahestry. In this pack the Alkahestry Tome is disabled (disable.alkahestryTome is true), so don't plan around that loop.[2][3]

Potion brewing

Brewing starts in the Apothecary Mortar, where you grind ingredients into potion essence. You can combine several ingredients in one go. Then the essences go into the Apothecary Cauldron together with nether wart.[2][4]

The mod's description says the cauldron needs water inside and a lit fire underneath to start. To get the potion out, you use empty potion vials, which means the Condensed Potion Vial.[2][4]

A brew takes 160 ticks (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.cookTime). You can add up to 2 glowstone to make the potion more potent (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.glowstoneLimit). You can add up to 3 redstone to make it last longer (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.redstoneLimit).[3]

The pack changed the recipes for the cauldron, the mortar and the vial, so don't rely on what you remember from the base mod.[4]

Pedestals and automation

The mod's tooltips describe the pedestal as automating whatever you place in it, while the passive pedestal is a display-only block. Both are enabled in this pack (disable.pedestal and disable.passivePedestal are false).[2][3]

The config exposes these pedestal settings, all at their mod defaults in this pack:[3]

Fertile Lily Pad and Interdiction Torch

The Fertile Lily Pad speeds up crop growth. It causes growth ticks within a radius of 4 (blocks.fertileLilypad.tileRange), once every 10 seconds (blocks.fertileLilypad.secondsBetweenGrowthTicks). Growth ticks happen most often within 1 block of the pad (blocks.fertileLilypad.fullPotencyRange). These are the mod defaults.[2][3]

The Interdiction Torch repels creatures and projectiles. In this pack it pushes mobs out within a radius of 5 (blocks.interdictionTorch.pushRadius). Pushing projectiles is switched off (blocks.interdictionTorch.canPushProjectiles is false), so expect it to affect mobs only. You can blacklist specific entities or projectiles from being pushed, but both blacklists are empty here.[2][3]

Destruction Catalyst

The mod's description says the Destruction Catalyst consumes gunpowder to destroy blocks. It only destroys "mundane" blocks and leaves everything else in place. Blocks destroyed this way leave no drops.[2][4]

Each use costs 3 gunpowder (items.destructionCatalyst.gunpowderCost). It can store up to 250 gunpowder (items.destructionCatalyst.gunpowderLimit), and each gunpowder you feed it adds 1 to the store (items.destructionCatalyst.gunpowderWorth).[3]

The explosion has a radius of 1 (items.destructionCatalyst.explosionRadius). It isn't centered on the clicked block (items.destructionCatalyst.centeredExplosion is false), and it carves a perfect cube (items.destructionCatalyst.perfectCube is true).[3]

The mundane list in this pack covers dirt, coarse dirt, podzol, mycelium, grass block, gravel, cobblestone, stone, granite, diorite, andesite, sand, sandstone, snow, soul sand, netherrack, end stone, deepslate and tuff (items.destructionCatalyst.mundaneBlocks).[3]

How do you progress through Reliquary Reincarnations?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Reliquary has no clean tier ladder in this pack, so this section follows the order the in-pack recipes make you build things in. In the pack's quest book, Reliquary items show up in two places: the Charm Fragment quest a quest in "?" in the Apothic Spawners chapter, and the Meltan quest a quest in "?" in the Legendaries chapter, which needs a Salamander's Eye.[5][6]

Stage 1: simple tools and consumables

The Emperor's Chalice, Glowing Water, Glowing Bread and Magicbane use the mod's own recipes. The Condensed Potion Vial recipe is the one the pack changed.[7]

Stage 2: the Hunter's Handgun

The Hunter's Handgun is assembled from a Barrel Assembly, a Grip Assembly and a Hammer Assembly. The grip needs an Empty Magazine. The pack changed all of these recipes, so don't trust older guides for them.[7]

The ammo recipes are pack-changed too. Neutral Shot is the plain shot. Exorcism Shot adds a Zombie Heart to it, Ender Shot adds a Nebulous Heart to a Seeker Shot, and Buster Shot adds a Catalyzing Gland to a Concussive Shot.[7]

Stage 3: charm fragments and the Charm Belt

The Apothic Spawners quest says Mob Charm Fragment items can be made into Charms or Spawn Eggs. They rarely drop from their respective mobs, and some can even be crafted. Take 2 of them and a normal Egg to craft a Spawn Egg.[5]

The pack changed every fragment recipe, and each mob has its own, so look up the one you need in the recipe viewer. Mob-specific drops such as the Chelicerae come into play there. The Charm Belt recipe is pack-changed as well.[7]

The Infernal chain

This is the longest chain among the recipes shown, and it uses the mod's own recipes. Everything starts from the Infernal Claw.[7]

  1. Craft an Infernal Claw, then turn it into Infernal Claws.[7]
  2. Use another claw to make an Infernal Tear, which also needs a Witch Hat.[7]
  3. Combine your Emperor's Chalice, the claws and the tear into the Infernal Chalice.[7]
  4. The tear is also needed for the Hero's Medallion and the Destruction Catalyst.[7]

Frozen, Molten and Nebulous crafts

The last crafts lean on the Frozen Core, Molten Core and Nebulous Heart. The frozen side of the mod includes the Ice Magus Rod, the Shears of Winter and the Glacial Staff, whose recipe is shown below. The pack changed the Apothecary Cauldron recipe, so check it in the recipe viewer rather than relying on older guides.[7]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work with other mods?

2 parts

Reliquary Reincarnations links up with other mods in this pack through recipes that the pack itself added. Each one pairs an item from the mod with items from a different mod.[4]

Withering Soul (Mystical Agradditions)

The Witherless Rose is used in a shaped recipe that makes a Withering Soul. The pack defines this recipe through KubeJS, and it also uses a Wither Skeleton Skull.[4]

Lilypad of Fertility (Mystical Agriculture)

The Lilypad of Fertility can be made with a Mystical Agriculture awakening recipe that the pack added. It uses Fertile Essence from Reliquary Reincarnations, plus a Vibranium Plate from Allthemodium and Mystical Agriculture essences such as Air Essence and Water Essence. That ties Reliquary, Mystical Agriculture and Allthemodium together in one item.[4]

Which Reliquary Reincarnations config options matter?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Everything here lives in config/reliquary-common.toml. Good news: the pack leaves almost all of Reliquary Reincarnations at its mod defaults. Of the options that list a mod default, exactly one is marked as changed by the pack.[8]

The one changed value: Rending Gale capacity

The pack raises items.rendingGale.chargeLimit to 30,000. The mod default is 300, so the Rending Gale can hold far more feathers here than in a stock install. The config describes this option as the number of feathers the Rending Gale can hold.[8]

The costs around it are untouched. items.rendingGale.boltChargeCost is 100 feathers per lightning bolt, items.rendingGale.castChargeCost is 1 feather per cast in flight mode, and items.rendingGale.chargeFeatherWorth is 100.[8]

What is switched on and off

Watch out: The pack sets disable.alkahestryTome to true, which disables the Alkahestry tome and its recipes. Don't go looking for it in this pack.[8]

Values you'll likely look up (all mod defaults)

Unverified The config file doesn't list a mod default for true/false and list options, so I can't say whether the pack changed those, such as the Alkahestry tome being disabled. Treat them only as this pack's current values.
