What is Reliquary Reincarnations?

1 part

Reliquary Reincarnations is in the pack at version 2.0.80, built for Minecraft 1.21.1. It was first included in pack version 2.25 or earlier.[1]

Where the quest book puts it

The pack's quest book places the mod in the "Apothic Spawners" chapter. Its quest there, a quest in "Apothic Spawners", asks you to obtain a Mob Charm Fragment. That quest comes after another quest in the same chapter.[2]

The quest text explains that Charm Fragments can be made into either Charms or Spawn Eggs. They rarely drop from their respective mobs, and some can even be crafted. Take 2 of them and a normal Egg and you can craft a Spawn Egg.[2]

Unverified The sources here do not show whether the ATM Star quest path uses this mod, and they do not show any other quest chapter that features it. The rest of its items, recipes and config options are also not covered here.

How do you get started with Reliquary Reincarnations?

5 parts

A lot of Reliquary's gear in this pack is built from mob-drop components such as the Catalyzing Gland and the Nebulous Heart. Many recipes use them, so you will want a few on hand early. Here is the order I would tackle things in.[3]

First: the Emperor's Chalice

The Emperor's Chalice is an infinite water bucket, and its recipe uses no Reliquary drops, so you can make it right away. Its tooltip says drinking from it restores hunger in exchange for life.[3][4]

This is the mod's own recipe, unchanged by the pack.

Next: your potion station

The Apothecary Mortar grinds ingredients into potion essence. The Apothecary Cauldron then brews potions from that essence. The pack changes both recipes, so do not trust older guides for them.[3][4]

You will also want the Condensed Potion Vial. The pack changed its recipe too.[3]

Then: Glowing Water and the Altar of Light

Glowing Water harms undead enemies, and it is the base for Glowing Bread, which completely restores hunger. There are two ways to craft the water: from scratch, or starting from a Condensed Potion Vial.[3][4]

Charm Fragments

Charm Fragments can be made into Charms or Spawn Eggs. They rarely drop from their own mobs, but some can be crafted instead, and the pack changed these crafting recipes. The quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" in the Apothic Spawners chapter covers this. Here is the slime one as an example.[2][3]

A mid-term goal: the Hunter's Handgun

The Hunter's Handgun is a good goal once you have some components. You fire with right click and hold to reload. The pack changed its recipe, and it also changed the recipes for the Barrel Assembly, the Grip Assembly and the Hammer Assembly, all shown below.[3][4]

Tip: The Severing enchantment significantly increases the chance of Reliquary drops, and the Magicbane also has a higher chance of them. Both are worth having while you farm components.[4]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work?

6 parts

Going by the mod's tooltips and the pack's config, Reliquary Reincarnations isn't a big machine mod. Its systems are a handful of small, self-contained blocks: a sunlight altar, a mortar and cauldron for potions, pedestals that automate tools, and a couple of utility blocks. This section covers how each one works and what the pack's config sets for it.[4][5]

Altar of Light

The mod's in-game description says the Altar of Light turns redstone into glowstone. Right-click it with redstone until it activates. After some time a glowstone block appears on top of it.[3][4]

Watch out: The mod's description says the altar has to be in direct sunlight to work, so don't build it in a cave or under a roof.[4]

The pack's config matches the mod defaults here. Activating costs 3 redstone (blocks.altar.redstoneCost). Making the glowstone block takes 20 minutes (blocks.altar.timeInMinutes), plus a random extra of up to 5 minutes (blocks.altar.maximumTimeVarianceInMinutes). While active, the altar gives off light level 16 (blocks.altar.outputLightLevelWhileActive).[5]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: reliquary:alkahestry_altar

The Alkahestry Tome, which the mod describes as using its charge to duplicate items, is switched off in this pack (disable.alkahestryTome is true).[4][5]

Potion making: mortar and cauldron

The mod's descriptions explain that potions are made in stages. First you grind ingredients into potion essence in the Apothecary Mortar. You can combine several ingredients in the mortar. Then you brew the essences into potions in the Apothecary Cauldron. The potion system is enabled in the pack (disable.potion is false).[3][4][5]

The mod's description says the cauldron brews potion essences together with nether wart. To start, you need a lit fire underneath it and water inside. You then use empty potion vials to get the finished potion out.[4]

The pack changed the recipes for the mortar, the cauldron and the Condensed Potion Vial, so don't rely on what you remember from the base mod.[3]

Cooking a potion takes 160 (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.cookTime); the config doesn't state the unit. You can add up to 2 glowstone to make a potion more potent (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.glowstoneLimit) and up to 3 redstone to make it last longer (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.redstoneLimit). These values match the mod defaults. The pack leaves the heat source list empty (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.heatSources).[5]

Pedestals

The pedestal is the mod's automation block, and its tooltip describes it as automating "stuff and things placed in it". The tooltip calls the passive pedestal a fancy display of items. Both are enabled in the pack (disable.pedestal and disable.passivePedestal are false).[4][5]

What a pedestal does depends on the item placed in it. The config shows these behaviors, all at mod-default values in the pack:[5]

Fertile Lily Pad

The Fertile Lily Pad speeds up crop growth. In the pack it causes growth ticks within a radius of 4 (blocks.fertileLilypad.tileRange), once every 10 seconds (blocks.fertileLilypad.secondsBetweenGrowthTicks). The ticks happen most often within a radius of 1 (blocks.fertileLilypad.fullPotencyRange). All three values are the mod defaults.[4][5]

Interdiction Torch

The Interdiction Torch's tooltip says it repels creatures and projectiles. In this pack, though, projectile pushing is turned off (blocks.interdictionTorch.canPushProjectiles is false), so expect it to work on mobs only. It pushes mobs out within a radius of 5 (blocks.interdictionTorch.pushRadius). The entity and projectile blacklists are empty.[4][5]

Destruction Catalyst

The mod's description says the Destruction Catalyst spends gunpowder to destroy "mundane" blocks, leaving every other block in place, and that blocks destroyed this way drop nothing. The pack's config lets it store the gunpowder.[3][4][5]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: reliquary:destruction_catalyst

Each use costs 3 gunpowder (items.destructionCatalyst.gunpowderCost). The catalyst holds up to 250 (items.destructionCatalyst.gunpowderLimit), and each gunpowder you feed it adds 1 (items.destructionCatalyst.gunpowderWorth). The explosion radius is 1 (items.destructionCatalyst.explosionRadius). It is not centered on the clicked block (items.destructionCatalyst.centeredExplosion is false), and it carves a perfect cube (items.destructionCatalyst.perfectCube is true).[5]

The pack's mundane block list covers dirt, coarse dirt, podzol, mycelium, grass block, gravel, cobblestone, stone, granite, diorite, andesite, sand, sandstone, snow, soul sand, netherrack, end stone, deepslate and tuff (items.destructionCatalyst.mundaneBlocks).[5]

How do you progress through Reliquary Reincarnations?

5 parts

Reliquary doesn't have a formal tier ladder in this pack. The only quest that touches it is a quest in "Apothic Spawners" in the Apothic Spawners chapter, and it's about Charm Fragments. Everything else comes from how the in-pack recipes feed into each other, so this section follows that chain from the simplest crafts up to the big endgame-style items.[2][3]

Stage 1: Charm Fragments

The pack's quest tells you Mob Charm Fragment can be turned into Charms or Spawn Eggs. The fragments rarely drop from their respective mobs, but some of them can be crafted. The quest text says to take 2 and a normal Egg to craft a Spawn Egg.[2]

Every fragment recipe I can see (blaze, cave spider, creeper, enderman, ghast, guardian, magma cube, skeleton, slime, spider, witch, wither skeleton, zombie and zombified piglin) is changed by the pack. Each one builds on a mob-specific Reliquary drop, so don't assume the mod's default recipes apply. Here's the blaze one as an example:[3]

Stage 2: The Hunter's Handgun line

The Hunter's Handgun is a good first project because every part of it is changed by the pack. That covers the Barrel Assembly, Grip Assembly, Hammer Assembly and Empty Magazine recipes. Here's the barrel assembly, followed by the handgun itself:[3]

Ammo recipes are changed by the pack too, and several shots are upgrades of simpler ones: Exorcism Shot builds on Neutral Shot, Ender Shot on Seeker Shot and Buster Shot on Concussive Shot. Blaze Shot, Sand Shot and Storm Shot are not upgrades of another shot. Here's the Exorcism Shot:[3]

Stage 3: Utility crafting and potions

The pack changes the Apothecary Cauldron and Apothecary Mortar recipes. It also changes the Condensed Potion Vial, Fertile Potion and Aphrodite's Serum recipes. Other items have mod-default recipes in this pack, for example the Altar of Light, Angelic Feather, Magicbane and Holy Hand Grenade. Glowing Water feeds into the Holy Hand Grenade and Glowing Bread.[3]

Infernal items and the Hero's Medallion

This is the longest chain I can confirm. An Infernal Claw becomes Infernal Claws and an Infernal Tear. Those, together with an Emperor's Chalice, lead to the Infernal Chalice. The Hero's Medallion also needs an Infernal Tear, plus a Coin of Fortune. All of these keep the mod's default recipes in this pack.[3]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work with other mods?

4 parts

Reliquary items connect to other mods in this pack through a handful of pack-added recipes, plus a quest in the Apothic Spawners chapter that covers Reliquary drops. Here is each link.[2][3]

Withering Soul (Mystical Agradditions)

The pack adds a shaped recipe for Withering Soul that depends on Reliquary's Witherless Rose alongside a Wither Skeleton Skull. If you want Withering Souls, you need to get that rose from Reliquary first. The recipe is shown below.[3]

Charm fragments and spawners

The Apothic Spawners chapter has a quest, a quest in "Apothic Spawners", that asks you to obtain a Mob Charm Fragment. According to the quest text, fragments can be made either into Charms or Spawn Eggs. They come from Reliquary and rarely drop from their respective mobs, and some can even be crafted.[2]

The quest also says that taking 2 fragments and a normal Egg lets you craft a Spawn Egg.[2]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Reliquary Reincarnations?

1 part

In this pack, Reliquary shows up in one quest chapter that I can confirm: Apothic Spawners. It's a single quest, so this section is short.[2]

Apothic Spawners

The quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" has no title in the quest book. Its task is to submit Mob Charm Fragment. It unlocks after an earlier quest in the chapter, so you'll need to finish that one first.[2]

The quest text says Charm Fragments can be made into either Charms or Spawn Eggs. They come from Reliquary and rarely drop from their respective mobs. The quest also says some fragments can be crafted, and that a Spawn Egg can be crafted from fragments plus a normal Egg.[2]

Tip: Since the fragments rarely drop, expect to farm the mobs for a while. The quest says some of them can be crafted instead, which may save you time.[2]

Unverified The exact in-pack crafting recipes for the fragments, the Charms and the Spawn Eggs are not confirmed in the sources for this section, so check the recipe viewer in game. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

Which Reliquary Reincarnations config options matter?

4 parts

Reliquary Reincarnations keeps its settings in config/reliquary-common.toml. Every numeric option in this pack's copy of that file that lists a mod default is set to exactly that default, so the pack has not changed any of those numbers and you get the mod's stock balance. The real pack-level choices are the on/off switches below.[5]

Features the pack turns off or leaves on

Life-savers and protection

The Phoenix Down heals items.PhoenixDown.healPercentageOfMaxLife percent of your max life when it saves you, which is 100, and its items.PhoenixDown.hungerCostPercent is 25. It also removes negative statuses and gives temporary regeneration and damage resistance. The fire resistance and water breathing extras are on too, but they only apply when fire or drowning was what got you.[5]

The Angelheart Vial is the weaker option. Its items.angelheartVial.healPercentageOfMaxLife is 25 percent of your max life, and it also removes negative statuses.[5]

Mob charms have a items.mobCharm.durability of 80. Each kill of a mob a charm protects you from costs the amount set in items.mobCharm.damagePerKill, which is 1, and each special drop repairs the amount in items.mobCharm.dropDurabilityRepair, which is 20. In a pedestal, a charm works over the items.mobCharm.pedestalRange, which is 21.[5]

Storage limits worth knowing

Potion settings

The potion display options only control what shows up in creative tabs and JEI. potions.maxEffectCount is 1, while potions.redstoneAndGlowstone, potions.threeIngredients and potions.differentDurations are all false.[5]

In the apothecary cauldron itself, blocks.apothecaryCauldron.redstoneLimit is 3 and blocks.apothecaryCauldron.glowstoneLimit is 2, so you can add up to 3 redstone to make a potion last longer and up to 2 glowstone to make it more potent. blocks.apothecaryCauldron.cookTime is 160.[5]
