What is Reliquary Reincarnations?

2 parts

Reliquary Reincarnations is the Reliquary mod ported to Minecraft 1.21.1. This pack ships version 2.0.80, and it was already in the pack by 1.3.0.[1]

What you'll use it for in this pack

The sources show two uses so far. The first is mob drops: Mob Charm Fragment items rarely drop from their respective mobs. You can turn the fragments into Charms or into Spawn Eggs. Some fragments can even be crafted, which is handy when a drop refuses to show up.[2]

The second is a crafting ingredient in a Legendaries quest. Salamander's Eye is one of the items you set on the altar for "Meltan" quest. That ritual also needs a working foundry filled with molten gold and steel.[3]

Where it fits in progression

The fragment quest sits in the Apothic Spawners chapter, so it belongs to the mob-spawning side of the pack. The Meltan quest is in the Legendaries chapter and comes after The Summoning Altar, so the eye is a mid-to-late ingredient there. You won't need it right at the start.[2][3]

Tip: Charm Fragments only drop rarely, so check whether the fragment you want is craftable before you grind for it. The quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" explains this.[2]

Unverified This guide has no confirmed information on the mod's other features, such as its full item list or its configuration. There is also no confirmation of any place on the ATM Star path.

How do you get started with Reliquary Reincarnations?

5 parts

Reliquary is a mod of gadgets, and many of its recipes in this pack are built around mob drops. So your first goal is to get the cheap, useful items done and start collecting drops. Here's the order I'd go in.[4][5]

First: make the Emperor's Chalice

The Emperor's Chalice is a natural first craft, because its recipe uses no Reliquary mob drops. It works as an infinite water bucket. Enable it to drain water and disable it to place water. You can also drink from it to restore hunger, but that costs you life.[4][5]

Second: start collecting mob drops

Many recipes in the pack need drops like Catalyzing Gland and Nebulous Heart. The Molten Core is a Blaze and Magma Cube drop. The Severing enchantment significantly increases your chance of Reliquary drops, so it's worth having before you go hunting.[4][5]

Third: set up potion crafting

The Apothecary Mortar grinds ingredients into potion essence, and the Apothecary Cauldron brews potions from that essence. The pack changed both recipes from the mod's versions, so don't trust the default Reliquary recipes you may remember.[4][5]

Fourth: build the Hunter's Handgun

The Hunter's Handgun is your ranged weapon: right-click fires and holding reloads. The pack changed its recipe, and the handgun is built from the Barrel Assembly, Grip Assembly and Hammer Assembly, whose recipes the pack changed as well. Their recipes are shown below.[4][5]

Where to go next

Once drops are coming in, the Coin of Fortune draws in items and XP, and the Hero's Medallion stores experience for you.[4][5]

Charm Fragments rarely drop from their mobs, but the pack has crafting recipes for them that it changed from the mod's versions. The quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" explains that fragments can be made into Charms or Spawn Eggs.[2][4]

Tip: The Salamander's Eye is also an ingredient in the Meltan ritual in "Meltan" quest, so keep it in mind for later.[3][4]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work?

8 parts

Reliquary's machines are a handful of blocks: the Altar of Light, the Apothecary Mortar and Cauldron, the Lilypad of Fertility, the Interdiction Torch and the Pedestals. The rest of the mod's mechanics sit inside items that store their own charge. Here is how each part behaves in this pack.[5]

Altar of Light

You feed Altar of Light redstone and it grows glowstone. In this pack it costs 3 redstone (blocks.altar.redstoneCost) to start it, and it takes 20 minutes (blocks.altar.timeInMinutes) to make a glowstone block. A random extra time of up to 5 minutes (blocks.altar.maximumTimeVarianceInMinutes) can be added on top. While active it gives off light level 16 (blocks.altar.outputLightLevelWhileActive). All of these values match the mod defaults.[5][6]

Watch out: The Tome of Alkahestry is disabled in this pack (disable.alkahestryTome is true), along with its recipes. The tome's own text says you can fuel altars from it, but you can't use that route here.[5][6]

Potions: mortar and cauldron

The Apothecary Mortar grinds ingredients into potion essence, and the Apothecary Cauldron brews potions from that essence. The cauldron's cook time is 160 (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.cookTime). You can add up to 2 glowstone (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.glowstoneLimit) to make a potion more potent, and up to 3 redstone (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.redstoneLimit) to make it last longer. The list of acceptable heat sources (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.heatSources) is empty in the pack's config file.[5][6]

The pack changed the cauldron recipe, so don't rely on the mod's default. It also changed the recipe for the Condensed Potion Vial.[4]

The options under potions.maxEffectCount and its neighbours only control which potions are listed in creative tabs and JEI. They don't change how brewing works.[6]

Lilypad of Fertility

The Lilypad of Fertility speeds up crop growth by causing growth ticks. It does this every 10 seconds (blocks.fertileLilypad.secondsBetweenGrowthTicks) within a radius of 4 (blocks.fertileLilypad.tileRange). The ticks happen most often within a radius of 1 (blocks.fertileLilypad.fullPotencyRange). These are the mod defaults.[5][6]

The pack added two recipes for it. One is a normal crafting recipe, and the other is a Mystical Agriculture awakening recipe.[4]

Pedestals

The Pedestal automates whatever you place in it. The Display only pedestal is purely decoration. The options to switch off all pedestals (disable.pedestal) and all display pedestals (disable.passivePedestal) are both false in this pack, so neither is disabled.[5][6]

Some items also work from a pedestal. A Harvest Rod works crops within a range of 4 with a 5 tick cooldown. A Hero's Medallion checks a range of 5 for mending items to repair, trying every 20 ticks and spending at most 5 xp per repair. Mob charms keep monsters from attacking you within a range of 21. A Rending Gale gives flight within a range of 30, at a cost of 2 per second.[6]

Interdiction Torch

The Interdiction Torch repels creatures and projectiles. Its push radius for mobs is 5 (blocks.interdictionTorch.pushRadius). In this pack's config, blocks.interdictionTorch.canPushProjectiles is false, so don't count on it for projectiles. The entity blacklist (blocks.interdictionTorch.pushableEntitiesBlacklist) and the projectile blacklist (blocks.interdictionTorch.pushableProjectilesBlacklist) are both empty.[5][6]

Hunter's Handgun and ammo

Right click fires the Hunter's Handgun and holding right click reloads it. Reload time and shot cooldown are at their best at experience level 20 (items.handgun.maxSkillLevel). The pack changed the handgun recipe.[4][5][6]

Charge-based items

Many Reliquary items keep an internal charge of a consumable. These are the limits in this pack.[6]

  • Destruction Catalyst: holds up to 250 gunpowder and uses 3 per use. It breaks only the mundane blocks on its config list.[6]
  • Ender Staff: holds up to 250 ender pearls. A cast or a wraith node warp costs 1 each, and the warp takes 60 to cast.[6]
  • Rending Gale: holds up to 30,000 feathers. The pack raised this from the mod default of 300. A lightning bolt costs 100 feathers, and each feather you feed in counts as 100.[6]
  • Infernal Chalice: holds up to 500,000 mB of lava.[5][6]
  • Void Tear: holds up to 2,000,000,000 items of the type it is set to, and starts absorbing as soon as it is set.[6]
  • Mob charms: 80 durability, losing 1 per kill. Each special drop repairs 20 durability. The pack changed the charm recipe.[4][6]

The Angelheart Vial resurrects you once and then breaks. In this pack it heals 25 percent of your max life (items.angelheartVial.healPercentageOfMaxLife) and removes negative statuses (items.angelheartVial.removeNegativeStatus is true). The Angelic Feather protects you from falls at the expense of hunger, using 50 percent hunger per 1 damage (items.angelicFeather.hungerCostPercent).[5][6]

Getting the rare ingredients

Nebulous Heart shows up in the altar, cauldron and several other recipes. In this pack, the Hostile Neural Networks Enderman data model lists it as an optional fabricator drop, with a count of 2.[4][7]

Mob drops are switched on in this pack (mobDropsEnabled is true), and Reliquary items can also appear in chest loot (chestLootEnabled is true). Crafting recipes for the mob drops are off (dropCraftingRecipesEnabled is false).[6]

How do you progress through Reliquary Reincarnations?

5 parts

Reliquary has no clean tier ladder in this pack, so this section follows the order the in-pack recipes make you build things in. In the pack's quest book, Reliquary items show up in two places: the Charm Fragment quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" in the Apothic Spawners chapter, and the Meltan quest "Meltan" quest in the Legendaries chapter, which needs a Salamander's Eye.[2][3]

Stage 1: simple tools and consumables

The Emperor's Chalice, Glowing Water, Glowing Bread and Magicbane use the mod's own recipes. The Condensed Potion Vial recipe is the one the pack changed.[4]

Stage 2: the Hunter's Handgun

The Hunter's Handgun is assembled from a Barrel Assembly, a Grip Assembly and a Hammer Assembly. The grip needs an Empty Magazine. The pack changed all of these recipes, so don't trust older guides for them.[4]

The ammo recipes are pack-changed too. Neutral Shot is the plain shot. Exorcism Shot adds a Zombie Heart to it, Ender Shot adds a Nebulous Heart to a Seeker Shot, and Buster Shot adds a Catalyzing Gland to a Concussive Shot.[4]

Stage 3: charm fragments and the Charm Belt

The Apothic Spawners quest says Mob Charm Fragment items can be made into Charms or Spawn Eggs. They rarely drop from their respective mobs, and some can even be crafted. Take 2 of them and a normal Egg to craft a Spawn Egg.[2]

The pack changed every fragment recipe, and each mob has its own, so look up the one you need in the recipe viewer. Mob-specific drops such as the Chelicerae come into play there. The Charm Belt recipe is pack-changed as well.[4]

The Infernal chain

This is the longest chain among the recipes shown, and it uses the mod's own recipes. Everything starts from the Infernal Claw.[4]

  1. Craft an Infernal Claw, then turn it into Infernal Claws.[4]
  2. Use another claw to make an Infernal Tear, which also needs a Witch Hat.[4]
  3. Combine your Emperor's Chalice, the claws and the tear into the Infernal Chalice.[4]
  4. The tear is also needed for the Hero's Medallion and the Destruction Catalyst.[4]

Frozen, Molten and Nebulous crafts

The last crafts lean on the Frozen Core, Molten Core and Nebulous Heart. The frozen side of the mod includes the Ice Magus Rod, the Shears of Winter and the Glacial Staff, whose recipe is shown below. The pack changed the Apothecary Cauldron recipe, so check it in the recipe viewer rather than relying on older guides.[4]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work with other mods?

3 parts

Reliquary Reincarnations isn't a standalone island in this pack. The pack adds several recipes where Reliquary items sit next to items from other mods, and one quest chapter points you at Reliquary drops. Here's what's confirmed.[2][3][4]

Mystical Agriculture and Mystical Agradditions

The pack adds an awakening recipe that produces the Lilypad of Fertility. It uses Fertile Essence together with Mystical Agriculture essences, a vanilla lily pad and an All the Mods material, so you'll need to branch out from Reliquary to get one.[4]

Summoning altar rituals

Two pack-added altar rituals use Reliquary items. The first makes the Mythical Pecha Berry. It needs the Coin of Fortune, a rabbit foot and Mystical Fertilizer.[4]

The second is the Meltan ritual. It uses the Salamander's Eye alongside items from Industrial Foregoing, MoreRed and a Ring Cast from another mod. The recipe's output is listed as a Cobblemon Pokémon model.[4]

Pokemon ModelAdded by the pack

Altar (summoningrituals)

The quest "Meltan" quest in the Legendaries chapter covers the same ritual. It says Meltan is forged rather than found in the wild. You run the ritual beside a working foundry filled with molten gold and steel, and the Pokémon condenses out of the molten metal.[3]

Charm Fragments

The quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" in the Apothic Spawners chapter asks for Mob Charm Fragment. The quest says these fragments can become Charms or Spawn Eggs, and that they rarely drop from their respective mobs. It also says some can be crafted, and that 2 fragments plus a normal Egg make a Spawn Egg.[2]

Unverified Whether Charm Fragments connect to any specific mod beyond Reliquary itself is unverified. The quest sits in the Apothic Spawners chapter, but the available text doesn't say how.

Which All the Mons quests use Reliquary Reincarnations?

3 parts

Reliquary shows up in two quest chapters in this pack. It's a small footprint: one quest in Apothic Spawners and one in Legendaries. Both use the mod as a stepping stone to something else.[2][3]

Apothic Spawners

The Reliquary quest here is a quest in "Apothic Spawners". It asks you to submit a Mob Charm Fragment. It unlocks after another quest in the same chapter, so you'll need to finish that one first.[2]

The quest text explains what the fragments are for: they can be made into Charms or into Spawn Eggs. They rarely drop from their respective mobs, though some can also be crafted. The text says a normal Egg is part of crafting a Spawn Egg.[2]

Legendaries

The second quest is "Meltan" quest, the Meltan quest in the Alola section. It comes after two earlier quests: The Summoning Altar and 0D8C93346B6F70C1. Meltan can't be found in the wild, so you forge it with a ritual.[3]

Reliquary's part is the Salamander's Eye, which is one of the quest's item tasks. The others are Ring Cast, Black Laser Lens and Red Network Cable. There's also a final custom task.[3]

The quest text says you place the Salamander's Eye, the Black Laser Lens, the Red Network Cable and finally the Ring Cast on the altar. Then you run the ritual beside a working foundry filled with molten gold and steel. Meltan condenses out of the molten metal.[3]

Tip: The quest text says one Meltan is only the start, so plan to gather more after your first catch.[3]

Suggested order

  1. Finish the quest that comes before the Charm Fragment quest in Apothic Spawners, then hand in a Charm Fragment.[2]
  2. In Legendaries, complete The Summoning Altar and 0D8C93346B6F70C1, then take on the Meltan quest and its Salamander's Eye task.[3]

Which Reliquary Reincarnations config options matter?

3 parts

Everything here lives in config/reliquary-common.toml. Good news: the pack leaves almost all of Reliquary Reincarnations at its mod defaults. Of the options that list a mod default, exactly one is marked as changed by the pack.[6]

The one changed value: Rending Gale capacity

The pack raises items.rendingGale.chargeLimit to 30,000. The mod default is 300, so the Rending Gale can hold far more feathers here than in a stock install. The config describes this option as the number of feathers the Rending Gale can hold.[6]

The costs around it are untouched. items.rendingGale.boltChargeCost is 100 feathers per lightning bolt, items.rendingGale.castChargeCost is 1 feather per cast in flight mode, and items.rendingGale.chargeFeatherWorth is 100.[6]

What is switched on and off

Watch out: The pack sets disable.alkahestryTome to true, which disables the Alkahestry tome and its recipes. Don't go looking for it in this pack.[6]

Values you'll likely look up (all mod defaults)

Unverified The config file doesn't list a mod default for true/false and list options, so I can't say whether the pack changed those, such as the Alkahestry tome being disabled. Treat them only as this pack's current values.
