What is Reliquary Reincarnations?

2 parts

This pack ships Reliquary Reincarnations version 2.0.74, and it has been included since version 0.3.0-beta or earlier. The only part of the mod the pack's quest book covers is the Mob Charm Fragment.[1][2]

What the quest book says it does

Charm Fragments can be made either into Charms or Spawn Eggs. They rarely drop from their respective mobs, and some of them can even be crafted.[2]

That makes them a handy way to get Spawn Eggs, which you can then right click on a spawner to change the mob it spawns. I can't confirm anything else about the mod from the sources I have, so check the quest book for the rest.[2]

Where it sits in the quest book

The quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" lives in the Apothic Spawners chapter, which has 33 quests. It comes after the untitled quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners", a note saying these are spawners provided by mods besides Apothic Spawners.[2]

That same note leads into the other mods' spawner quests, such as the Mob Duplicator, the Powered Spawner and the Soulium Spawner. It also leads into a quest about the Capturing enchantment, which is another way to get Spawn Eggs. The Charm Fragment quest sits right alongside those.[2]

Nothing in this chapter shows a quest that comes after the Charm Fragment quest. 2 of the chapter's quests were not available to me, so they are in the quest book. The sources give no sign that Reliquary is part of the ATM Star path.[2]

How do you get started with Reliquary Reincarnations?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Reliquary is a mod of gadgets, and many of its recipes in this pack are built around mob drops. So your first goal is to get the cheap, useful items done and start collecting drops. Here's the order I'd go in.[3][4]

First: make the Emperor's Chalice

The Emperor's Chalice is a natural first craft, because its recipe uses no Reliquary mob drops. It works as an infinite water bucket. Enable it to drain water and disable it to place water. You can also drink from it to restore hunger, but that costs you life.[3][4]

Second: start collecting mob drops

Many recipes in the pack need drops like Catalyzing Gland and Nebulous Heart. The Molten Core is a Blaze and Magma Cube drop. The Severing enchantment significantly increases your chance of Reliquary drops, so it's worth having before you go hunting.[3][4]

Third: set up potion crafting

The Apothecary Mortar grinds ingredients into potion essence, and the Apothecary Cauldron brews potions from that essence. The pack changed both recipes from the mod's versions, so don't trust the default Reliquary recipes you may remember.[3][4]

Fourth: build the Hunter's Handgun

The Hunter's Handgun is your ranged weapon: right-click fires and holding reloads. The pack changed its recipe, and the handgun is built from the Barrel Assembly, Grip Assembly and Hammer Assembly, whose recipes the pack changed as well. Their recipes are shown below.[3][4]

Where to go next

Once drops are coming in, the Coin of Fortune draws in items and XP, and the Hero's Medallion stores experience for you.[3][4]

Charm Fragments rarely drop from their mobs, but the pack has crafting recipes for them that it changed from the mod's versions. The quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" explains that fragments can be made into Charms or Spawn Eggs.[3][5]

Tip: The Salamander's Eye is also an ingredient in the Meltan ritual in a quest in "?", so keep it in mind for later.[3][6]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work?

7 parts

Reliquary is a mod of hand-held tools, a couple of brewing and growing blocks, and Pedestals that automate some of those tools. The sources I have don't describe power, fluid pipes or multiblocks for it. What they do cover is the Altar of Light, the potion setup, Pedestals, the charge-based items and the Hunter's Handgun, so that's what this section walks through.[4][7]

Altar of Light

The Altar of Light is described in the mod's own text as a block you feed redstone to so it grows glowstone. In this pack it costs blocks.altar.redstoneCost = 3 redstone to activate. It then takes blocks.altar.timeInMinutes = 20 minutes to create a glowstone block, plus a random extra amount of up to blocks.altar.maximumTimeVarianceInMinutes = 5 minutes. While active it puts out light level blocks.altar.outputLightLevelWhileActive = 16. The pack leaves all four values at the mod defaults.[4][7]

Watch out: The Tome of Alkahestry is switched off in this pack (disable.alkahestryTome is true), so don't plan around duplicating items with it or refuelling altars from it.[7]

Potions: mortar and cauldron

The potion system is enabled (disable.potion is false). The Apothecary Mortar grinds ingredients into potion essence, and the Apothecary Cauldron brews potions from that essence.[4][7]

The cauldron has a blocks.apothecaryCauldron.cookTime of 160. You can add up to 2 glowstone to make a potion more potent (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.glowstoneLimit) and up to 3 redstone to make it last longer (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.redstoneLimit). The list of acceptable heat sources, blocks.apothecaryCauldron.heatSources, is empty in the pack's config file. These values match the mod defaults.[7]

The pack changed the cauldron's crafting recipe, so check it below rather than relying on other guides.[8]

The pack also changed the recipes for the Condensed Potion Vial and for Tipped Arrow, which is made from a Lingering Condensed Potion and comes out as a stack of 8.[8]

Pedestals and automation

The Pedestal is the mod's automation block: the mod describes it as automating the stuff placed in it. A separate display-only Pedestal exists just for showing items off. Both are enabled in the pack (disable.pedestal and disable.passivePedestal are false). What a Pedestal does depends on the item you put in it, and these are the pack's values for several of them:[4][7]

The shears settings are worth a second look in the config file: the comments on the shears cooldown and range entries look swapped, so I'm not quoting numbers for them.[7]

Crop growth

The Lilypad of Fertility speeds up crop growth by causing growth ticks every 10 seconds (blocks.fertileLilypad.secondsBetweenGrowthTicks) within a radius of 4 (blocks.fertileLilypad.tileRange). Within a radius of 1 (blocks.fertileLilypad.fullPotencyRange) the ticks happen most often. All three are mod defaults. The pack gives you two ways to craft it, both added by the pack: a plain crafting recipe and a Mystical Agriculture awakening recipe.[4][7][8]

The Interdiction Torch repels creatures and projectiles. In the pack it pushes mobs out within a radius of 5 (blocks.interdictionTorch.pushRadius), and projectile pushing is off (blocks.interdictionTorch.canPushProjectiles is false).[4][7]

Charge and storage items

Many Reliquary tools run on a stored supply that you top up from your inventory. A few examples at the pack's values:[4][7]

Hunter's Handgun and shots

The Hunter's Handgun is enabled in the pack (disable.handgun is false). You right click to fire and hold to reload. It reaches its fastest reload and shortest cooldown at experience level 20 (items.handgun.maxSkillLevel). The pack changed its recipe, which uses the Barrel Assembly, Grip Assembly and Hammer Assembly.[4][7][8]

The pack also changed the recipes for the basic shots. The Concussive Shot does small area damage, the Buster Shot does large area damage, and the Blaze Shot deals only fire damage. Each recipe makes 8 shots. The pack has a further Blaze Shot recipe that uses a lingering potion.[4][8]

Mob drops

Mobs drop Reliquary materials in this pack (mobDropsEnabled is true) and chest loot is on (chestLootEnabled is true). Crafting recipes for the mob drops are off (dropCraftingRecipesEnabled is false), so you have to get them by killing mobs. A mob charm has 80 durability (items.mobCharm.durability), loses 1 per kill it protects you from (items.mobCharm.damagePerKill), and gets 20 back per special drop (items.mobCharm.dropDurabilityRepair).[7]

How do you progress through Reliquary Reincarnations?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Reliquary has no clean tier ladder in this pack, so this section follows the order the in-pack recipes make you build things in. In the pack's quest book, Reliquary items show up in two places: the Charm Fragment quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" in the Apothic Spawners chapter, and the Meltan quest a quest in "?" in the Legendaries chapter, which needs a Salamander's Eye.[5][6]

Stage 1: simple tools and consumables

The Emperor's Chalice, Glowing Water, Glowing Bread and Magicbane use the mod's own recipes. The Condensed Potion Vial recipe is the one the pack changed.[3]

Stage 2: the Hunter's Handgun

The Hunter's Handgun is assembled from a Barrel Assembly, a Grip Assembly and a Hammer Assembly. The grip needs an Empty Magazine. The pack changed all of these recipes, so don't trust older guides for them.[3]

Stage 3: charm fragments and the Charm Belt

The Apothic Spawners quest says Mob Charm Fragment items can be made into Charms or Spawn Eggs. They rarely drop from their respective mobs, and some can even be crafted. Take 2 of them and a normal Egg to craft a Spawn Egg.[5]

The pack changed every fragment recipe, and each mob has its own, so look up the one you need in the recipe viewer. Mob-specific drops such as the Chelicerae come into play there. The Charm Belt recipe is pack-changed as well.[3]

The Infernal chain

This is the longest chain among the recipes shown, and it uses the mod's own recipes. Everything starts from the Infernal Claw.[3]

  1. Craft an Infernal Claw, then turn it into Infernal Claws.[3]
  2. Use another claw to make an Infernal Tear, which also needs a Witch Hat.[3]
  3. Combine your Emperor's Chalice, the claws and the tear into the Infernal Chalice.[3]
  4. The tear is also needed for the Hero's Medallion and the Destruction Catalyst.[3]

Frozen, Molten and Nebulous crafts

The last crafts lean on the Frozen Core, Molten Core and Nebulous Heart. The frozen side of the mod includes the Ice Magus Rod, the Shears of Winter and the Glacial Staff, whose recipe is shown below. The pack changed the Apothecary Cauldron recipe, so check it in the recipe viewer rather than relying on older guides.[3]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work with other mods?

3 parts

Reliquary items show up in a few recipes that this pack added, mostly as ingredients in crafting from other mods. Here is every connection I can confirm from the pack's recipes and quests.[2][8]

Mystical Agriculture and Mystical Agradditions

The pack adds an awakening recipe for the Lilypad of Fertility, a crossover between Reliquary, Mystical Agriculture and the Allthemodium mods. The Reliquary piece is Fertile Essence, the Allthemodium piece is the Vibranium Plate, and the vanilla piece is the Lily Pad.[8]

Summoning rituals for Cobblemon

Reliquary items are used in altar rituals added by the pack for the Cobblemon side of things. The Coin of Fortune is the Reliquary piece of the ritual for the Mythical Pecha Berry. The Rabbit Foot and Mystical Fertilizer are the other items in that ritual.[8]

Charm Fragments in the quest book

The quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" in the Apothic Spawners chapter asks you to obtain a Mob Charm Fragment. The quest text says these fragments can be made into Charms or Spawn Eggs, and that they rarely drop from their respective mobs. It also says some can be crafted.[2]

Tip: The quest text says you can turn 2 Charm Fragments and a normal Egg into a Spawn Egg. It does not give the exact recipe, so I can't show it here.[2]

Which All the Mons quests use Reliquary Reincarnations?

2 parts

The mod only shows up in one place in the quest book: the "Apothic Spawners" chapter, which has 33 quests. That chapter is about changing how spawners behave and about the spawners other mods add, and it also covers ways to get Spawn Eggs.[2]

The Charm Fragment quest

The mod's quest is a quest in "Apothic Spawners". The task is to hand in a Mob Charm Fragment. The quest text says Charm Fragments can be made into Charms or into Spawn Eggs, that they come from Reliquary, and that they rarely drop from their respective mobs. It also says some of them can be crafted.[2]

The quest book mentions a crafting route from fragments to a Spawn Egg, but the sources don't give a recipe id for it, so I can't show the exact recipe here.[2]

Where it sits in the chapter

The chapter opens with "Apothic Spawners" quest, which asks for a spawner. Most of the spawner modification quests unlock straight after it. The Charm Fragment quest isn't one of those. It comes after an untitled quest in the chapter, the same one that the other quests about spawners from other mods follow.[2]

It sits with three other quests that also follow that untitled quest and are about getting Spawn Eggs or something close to them:[2]

Which Reliquary Reincarnations config options matter?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Everything here lives in config/reliquary-common.toml. Good news: the pack leaves almost all of Reliquary Reincarnations at its mod defaults. Of the options that list a mod default, exactly one is marked as changed by the pack.[9]

The one changed value: Rending Gale capacity

The pack raises items.rendingGale.chargeLimit to 30,000. The mod default is 300, so the Rending Gale can hold far more feathers here than in a stock install. The config describes this option as the number of feathers the Rending Gale can hold.[9]

The costs around it are untouched. items.rendingGale.boltChargeCost is 100 feathers per lightning bolt, items.rendingGale.castChargeCost is 1 feather per cast in flight mode, and items.rendingGale.chargeFeatherWorth is 100.[9]

What is switched on and off

Watch out: The pack sets disable.alkahestryTome to true, which disables the Alkahestry tome and its recipes. Don't go looking for it in this pack.[9]

Values you'll likely look up (all mod defaults)

Unverified The config file doesn't list a mod default for true/false and list options, so I can't say whether the pack changed those, such as the Alkahestry tome being disabled. Treat them only as this pack's current values.
