What is PneumaticCraft: Repressurized?

3 parts

PneumaticCraft: Repressurized is an industrial-themed tech mod built around compressed air. It has its own power system, an original take on automation, and a very powerful armor set. The pack includes version 8.2.23 for Minecraft 1.21.1.[1][2]

Pressure is the core idea. Compressors are the power generators, and Pressure Tubes carry the air to your machines. Start with Air Compressor and Pressure Tube.[3][4][5]

What you can do with it

  • Move and stock items and fluids with the Logistics system. It is heavily inspired by Factorio, but uses frames attached to your existing inventories and tanks instead of separate logistic chests.[6]
  • Build and program Drones to automate tasks, using the program widgets.[7]
  • Produce renewable Biodiesel through a chain of processes.[8][9]
  • Build the highly upgradable Pneumatic Armor. By default it is only slightly better than the matching iron piece, so the upgrades are where it gets strong. You charge it and install upgrades in a Charging Station.[10][11]

Where it fits in the pack

The pack gives the mod its own quest chapter, which starts with "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest. It covers a lot of the mod but not everything, and it points you to JEI, tooltips and the in-game manual for the rest. The first task is crafting Compressed Iron Ingot. The easiest way is to dig a hole, throw in iron ingots or blocks, and blow them up with TNT. Some iron is lost in the explosion.[5][12]

From there the quests branch out into pressure movement, Reinforced Stone (the quest asks for 32), the early-game Compressed Iron Helmet armor set, fluid tanks and logistics.[5][13]

The ATM Star path

The ATM Star chapter has a "PneumaticCraft" quest quest that also asks for Compressed Iron Ingot. The quests that follow it are "Aerial Interface" quest for the Aerial Interface, and "Micromissiles" quest for Micromissiles.[14]

How do you get started with PneumaticCraft: Repressurized?

4 parts

Welcome to PneumaticCraft: Repressurized! This mod is all about pressure, and the start of the pack follows one simple path: get Compressed Iron, make some basic parts, make pressure, then build a Pressure Chamber. The quest "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest walks you through the same order.[5][12]

The first steps, in order

  1. Gather iron and stone. The in-game guide suggests around a stack of each, maybe a bit less iron.[12]
  2. Make Compressed Iron Ingot. Throw your iron ingots (or blocks) on the ground, ideally in a hole you dug, then set off a nearby explosion. TNT works, but any explosion does. You'll lose around 20% of the iron. That is unavoidable this early, because you need Compressed Iron just to build a Pressure Chamber.[5][12][15]
  3. Craft some Pressure Tube. They move pressure around, and they are the task of the quest "Moving Pressure" quest.[5][12]
  4. Craft Reinforced Stone from Compressed Iron and regular stone. The quest "Reinforced Stone" quest asks for 32 and calls it one of the most important materials you'll need.[5][12]
  5. Build an Air Compressor to start making pressure. The quest "Generating Pressure" quest recommends making at least 3 of them to start off with.[5]
  6. Get a Security Upgrade for your machines. The quest "Preventing Explosions?" quest warns that everything can blow up, and this upgrade makes sure the machine it sits in doesn't explode.[5]
  7. Build the Pressure Chamber, a multiblock made of Pressure Chamber Wall, a Pressure Chamber Valve and Pressure Chamber Interface blocks. See the quest "The Pressure Chamber" quest for how the structure works.[5][12]

Making your first pressure

The Air Compressor burns any solid fuel that works in a Furnace. Fuel buckets won't work in it, because liquid fuels need the Liquid Compressor instead.[16]

Charging Station

The Charging Station charges and discharges pneumatic items such as Drones and Pneumatic Wrenches. It is also where you manage upgrades on items that accept them. Its quest a quest in "PneumaticCraft" comes after Reinforced Stone and Moving Pressure.[5][16]

The Pressure Chamber

The chamber can be as small as 3x3x3 or as big as 5x5x5. Pipe pressure into the valve with your Pressure Tubes, and put a Security Upgrade in the valve. Different recipes need different amounts of pressure. Put an interface with blue on the outside on one face for importing items, and one with gold on the outside for outputting.[5]

Once it's running, you can craft Compressed Iron there and avoid the roughly 20% explosion loss.[15]

Tip: More sections of the in-game manual unlock as you earn advancements. If you're unsure what to build next, check the mod's Advancements page. Some advancements also give you a bit of experience.[12]

How does PneumaticCraft: Repressurized work?

8 parts

In this version of the mod, PneumaticCraft runs on compressed air instead of RF or a similar energy system. Compressors make the air, tubes move it around, and machines spend it. Once you understand how pressure, volume and air relate, most of the mod makes sense.[3][4][18]

Pressure, volume and air

Every pressurizable machine or tool has a volume, measured in mL. That is the amount of air it holds at 0 bar, which the mod uses for standard atmospheric pressure. Pressure is calculated as P = (A / V) - 1, where V is the volume and A is the air stored in the machine. A machine with 5,000 mL of volume holding 20,000 mL of air sits at 3 bar.[18]

In this mod, machines consume air, not pressure. Many of them need a minimum pressure to run, but pressure is only a function of stored air and volume. Volume Upgrades raise the volume of most machines, so using air causes smaller pressure drops.[18]

Air flows from higher-pressure blocks to lower-pressure ones, and pressure tries to balance out. Plugging a small machine into a big air capacity, such as a Pressure Chamber, builds up pressure in the machine. Leave a tube or machine open and you get an air leak. You can hear it as a hissing sound and see it as a stream of particles.[18]

Watch out: Too much pressure causes an Uncontrolled Rapid Air Release Event, which is an explosion. The red zone on a machine's pressure gauge shows where explosions can happen, but the exact point isn't predictable.[18]

Pressure tiers

As of this version, the mod has three machine tiers. Tier one machines nominally resist 5 bar, tier 1.5 machines resist up to 10 bar, and tier two machines resist up to 20 bar. Tier 1.5 is optional and exists mainly to unlock things that used to need tier two: charging tools to 10 bar, and obtaining a Diamond Drill Bit, which allows 3x3 block breaking.[19]

The bar values here are gauge pressure, so 0 bar is unpressurized air and -1 bar is a vacuum. For tubes, the Advanced Pressure Tube is the strongest type and has a max safe pressure of 20 bar. It can also be camouflaged and can carry Tube Modules.[16][17][19]

The Air Canister is the basic component for any pressurizable item. It has a volume of 3,000 mL and can be charged to 10 bar without exploding. Any pneumatic item crafted with a canister keeps the canister's air.[20]

The Air Compressor burns any solid fuel that a Furnace can burn. Fuel buckets don't work, so use a Liquid Compressor for liquid fuels.[16]

  • Per its tooltip, the Advanced Air Compressor is the tier two version. It generates 50 mL/tick but also produces heat, and efficiency drops as the heat rises. The temperature gauge marks where the drop starts and where efficiency hits 0%. This machine won't explode from overheating.[16]
  • Per its tooltip, the Flux Compressor turns Forge Energy into air at a base efficiency of 40%, so 100 FE gives 40 mL. Speed Upgrades reduce that efficiency slightly, and it generates heat that you need to dissipate.[16]
  • Per its tooltip, the Electrostatic Compressor produces 200,000 mL of air instantly when lightning hits it. A grid of Iron Bars or Lightning Rods attached to it raises the strike chance. The grid reaches 5 blocks horizontally and 5 blocks vertically, counts up to 250 blocks, and can be extended by a column of up to 10 blocks above the compressor. A grounding column below it dissipates the excess energy. Strikes are very unlikely in clear weather and much more likely in a thunderstorm.[16]

Heat

Heat spreads from hotter objects to colder ones, and the bigger the temperature difference, the faster it moves. Blocks only pass heat to adjacent blocks that support heat. Each object has a thermal resistance, which sets how fast heat moves, and a thermal capacity, which sets how slowly its temperature changes. Torches and air resist heat strongly, while a Block of Compressed Iron resists it very little, so it is an excellent conductor.[15][17][21]

Exposed machines lose heat to the air. This is especially noticeable on the Refinery. To stop it, cover every face with a non-conducting block. Trapdoors and slabs work fine.[21]

A Vortex Tube converts pressure directly into heat and cold, and a Heat Sink on its unused side is highly recommended. Heat Pipes carry heat between blocks without touching adjacent air or fluids, and you can attach Heat Sinks to them. A vanilla Furnace next to a dynamic heat source, such as a Vortex Tube or an Advanced Air Compressor, burns that heat as fuel starting at 100°C. This also works for the Blast Furnace and Smoker.[22]

Automation and assembly

According to its tooltip, the Assembly Controller can control any connected assembly machine, including machines linked through other assembly machines. To start a run, put a program in its program slot.[16][17]

The pack changed the Assembly Platform recipe, so use the one below rather than any default you remember. A combined drill and laser program is crafted from the separate Drill and Laser programs.[17]

The Aerial Interface uses the inventory of the player who placed it. Hoppers, Drones or Logistics Frames can then insert items into that inventory or pull them out, for example to keep you stocked with torches. It is also one of two ways to obtain Memory Essence.[16][23]

Elevators

Per the Elevator Base tooltip, it needs air pressure plus Elevator Frames stacked on top. You set the height with a redstone signal, where strength 0 is 0% extension and 15 is 100%, or with Elevator Callers. The computer integration notes add that extending needs a minimum pressure, but descending is free.[16][24]

In this pack's config file, the height each stacked base allows was changed. machines.elevator_base_blocks_per_base is set to 256 here instead of the mod default of 6.[25]

Fluids

The in-game guide says Crude Oil is the mod's only world generation, and its lakes are far more likely to spawn deep underground than on the surface. The recommended way to extract it is the Gas Lift, which needs pressure and Drill Pipes. According to its tooltip, it places pipes downward until it hits a liquid and digs through solid blocks on the way. Digging costs pressure in proportion to block hardness, and the minimum pressure needed grows with depth. For transport far from your base, a Small Tank is an early-game option, and it keeps its contents when broken.[16][26]

In this pack's config file, advanced.dont_update_infinite_water_sources is left on. When a drone, Liquid Hopper or Gas Lift picks up water, a source block with at least two water source neighbours isn't removed. This can make water importing much faster.[25]

Chunkloading and reliability

Machines only work while their chunks are loaded. If you want processing while you're away, chunkload the relevant machines. Keep a build either fully loaded or not at all, since a half-loaded build behaves unpredictably. Try to keep multiblocks like the Pressure Chamber inside a single chunk. Security Upgrades in machines prevent explosions, which helps when chunkloading or server performance causes trouble.[27]

In this pack's config file, drones.chunkload_offline_time is changed to 300, where the mod default is 0. That is the time in seconds after a player logs out that their drones and Programmable Controllers can no longer chunkload. At 0 they could chunkload indefinitely.[25]

In this pack's config file, drones.allow_navigate_to_unloaded_chunks is false, so drones may not navigate or teleport into unloaded chunks.[25]

Tip: If something doesn't work, open the machine's GUI. The Pressure Status tab shows current pressure and volume, and the Problems tab points you at what's wrong.[28]

How do you progress through PneumaticCraft: Repressurized?

6 parts

Progression in this pack follows the PneumaticCraft questline: you build up from raw pressure to oil, then plastic, then circuit boards, then Assembly Lines. The first quest is "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest, and it hands you the first item you need: the Compressed Iron Ingot.[5]

Pressure tiers

The mod splits machines into pressure tiers. Tier one resists 5 bar, tier one-point-five resists up to 10 bar, and tier two resists up to 20 bar. Tier 1.5 is optional. It mainly exists so you can charge tools to 10 bar and get a Diamond Drill Bit, which allows 3x3 block breaking.[19]

In the quests, the Reinforced Pressure Tube is described as holding 10 bars, which lines up with tier 1.5. The Advanced Air Compressor is the tier 2 version of the Air Compressor. It is safe up to 20 bar and makes a base 50mL of air per tick, but it must be cooled, because its efficiency drops as it heats up.[5][19][29]

Stage 1: Compressed Iron and basic pressure

Dig a hole, throw in iron ingots or blocks and set off TNT. You lose around 20% of the ingots in the blast. A Pressure Chamber avoids that loss, but you need some Compressed Iron to build one, so the first batch always costs you a little.[5][15]

Explosion Crafting (pneumaticcraft)

  • any iron ingot

Recipe id: pneumaticcraft:explosion_crafting/compressed_iron_ingot

This is the explosion method the quest suggests for your first batch.

Next, the quests ask for 32 Reinforced Stone and Pressure Tube for moving pressure. After that comes "Generating Pressure" quest with the Air Compressor, which burns fuel. The quest recommends at least 3 of them to start. Right behind it is "Preventing Explosions?" quest: put a Security Upgrade in your machines so they don't explode.[5]

The Charging Station is followed in the quest book by the Manometer, the Pneumatic Wrench and the Camouflage Applicator. Don't skip the early armor either: "Compressed Iron Armor" quest is like iron armor but with better toughness and knockback resistance.[5][13]

Stage 2: The Pressure Chamber and oil

"The Pressure Chamber" quest asks for the blocks for a 5x5x5 chamber, though the multiblock can be as small as 3x3x3. Pipe pressure into the valve, with a Security Upgrade inside it, and place one import and one output interface. Different recipes need different pressures.[5]

"Crude Oil" quest is the next step, and oil is found on the surface of the overworld. For bulk oil, the drilling quest uses a Seismic Sensor to find a deposit and a Gas Lift with drill pipes to pump it, which needs pressure. The Vortex Tube (hot air on the red side) and Heat Pipe give you the heat for the refinery.[5]

The refinery is a 1x1x5 multiblock: one Refinery Controller at the bottom and four Refinery Output blocks on top. Feed it oil and heat and you get Diesel, Kerosene, Gasoline and LPG. Thermal Lagging on the sides keeps it warm.[5]

Stage 3: Plastic

LPG is the fuel you need for plastic. Pump LPG, coal and heat into the Thermopneumatic Processing Plant to get Molten Plastic. A Heat Frame on a container holding it turns it into a Molten Plastic sheet. The same plant also makes Vegetable Oil from crops or seeds, and the yeast, ethanol and biodiesel quests branch off the plant too.[5]

Plastic unlocks a lot at once: elevators, doors, Capacitor, Transistor, the Amadron Tablet and the Pneumatic Jackhammer. The pack changed the Jackhammer from the mod's default, so use the in-pack version shown below.[5][17]

Stage 4: Circuit boards

  1. Make Empty PCB in the Pressure Chamber.[5]
  2. Order a PCB Blueprint through Amadron. The quest advertises it for 8 Emeralds.[5][17]
  3. Charge the Empty PCBs in a UV Light Box, which needs pressure and sunlight.[5]
  4. Make Etching Acid in the Pressure Chamber from Molten Plastic. Then put the charged PCB into the Etching Tank with acid and heat to get an Unassembled PCB.[5]
  5. Combine the Unassembled PCB with 2 Capacitors and 2 Transistors to get a Finished PCB.[5]

Stage 5: Assembly Lines

Finished PCBs unlock the Assembly Line quests. The first three are the Assembly Controller, where the pressure goes, and the import and export IO units that take items from your input chest and drop products into your output chest. The Aerial Interface is a good reason to build the line, since its quest says you need a whole assembly line to craft it.[5][14]

Some items are made on the Assembly Line itself. For example, the Advanced Pressure Tube comes from a Pressure Chamber Valve, and the Netherite Drill Bit comes from its unassembled version.[17]

How does PneumaticCraft: Repressurized work with other mods?

4 parts

PneumaticCraft ties into the rest of the pack mostly through recipes. Compressed Iron, Crude Oil and Plastic Sheet all show up in other mods' machines, and a few late-game ATM items need PneumaticCraft parts. Here's what the recipe dump confirms.[17]

Compressed Iron in other mods

The pack links Block of Compressed Iron to All the Compressed. You can compress it into Block of Compressed Iron 1x and turn it back again. The pack changed both of these recipes.[17]

PneumaticCraft parts also appear in two of ATM's own crafts, the Improbable Probability Device and the Pulsating Black Hole. The PneumaticCraft items to look for are the Aerial Interface and the Micromissiles. The pack added both recipes, and the blocks below show everything that goes into each.[17]

Computers

PneumaticCraft's own guide says that if ComputerCraft or Open Computers is installed, you can control almost every machine and Drone as a peripheral. Open Computers needs an Adapter to connect.[24]

Which All the Mons quests use PneumaticCraft: Repressurized?

3 parts

Two quest chapters touch this mod. The main one is the PneumaticCraft chapter, which walks you from your first Compressed Iron Ingot all the way to assembly lines and Pneumatic Armor. The other is a short PneumaticCraft entry in the ATM Star chapter. Quest text points you to JEI, tooltips and the in-game manual for the details.[5][14]

The main chapter, in order

  1. "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest is the entry point. It asks for a Compressed Iron Ingot, and every other quest in the chapter hangs off it.[5]
  2. Right after it you can take "Moving Pressure" quest (Pressure Tube) and "Reinforced Stone" quest, which asks you to make 32 Reinforced Stone. Compressed Iron Armor, Crop Supports, a few hoppers and the first Small Fluid Tank are also open at this point.[5]
  3. "Generating Pressure" quest gives you the Air Compressor. The quest recommends making at least 3. "Preventing Explosions?" quest follows, where you put Security Upgrade into your machines. Pressure from Liquids ("Pressure from Liquids" quest) and Pressure from Heat ("Pressure from Heat" quest) also unlock from Generating Pressure.[5]
  4. "The Pressure Chamber" quest needs both the Preventing Explosions and Reinforced Stone quests. It asks for Pressure Chamber Wall, Pressure Chamber Valve and Pressure Chamber Interface, and the quest says the blocks for the 5x5x5 size are what completes it.[5]
  5. "Crude Oil" quest opens the oil stage. Drilling (a quest in "PneumaticCraft") and heat ("Heat Production" quest, "Moving Heat" quest) branch from it. The "Oil Refinery" quest quest needs both Crude Oil and Moving Heat, and it asks for the Refinery Controller, Refinery Output and Thermal Lagging.[5]
  6. The refinery unlocks "LPG" quest, "Diesel" quest, "Kerosene" quest and "Gasoline" quest. LPG leads to "Thermopneumatic Processing" quest, and that leads to "Plastic" quest, plus Yeast, Vegetable Oil and the Upgrade Matrix quest.[5]
  7. With Plastic done, the chapter turns to circuit boards. "Amadron" quest covers the Amadron Tablet. "Capacitors" quest, "Transistors" quest and a quest in "PneumaticCraft" come next. "PCB Blueprint" quest needs both Empty PCB and Amadron, and the quest text says the blueprint costs 8 Emeralds.[5]
  8. The PCB chain goes through "Charging with UVs" quest, then a quest in "PneumaticCraft" and a quest in "PneumaticCraft", then a quest in "PneumaticCraft", and finally a quest in "PneumaticCraft" for the Finished PCB.[5]
  9. The Finished PCB quest unlocks the assembly line pieces: Assembly Controller, Assembly Platform, the import and export IO units, Assembly Laser and Assembly Drill. It also unlocks "Pneumatic Armor" quest, "Programming Drones" quest and a quest in "PneumaticCraft".[5]

Side branches worth knowing

Logistics ("Logistics" quest) starts from Reinforced Stone, and the Logistics Module and Logistics Configurator quests follow it. Storage also branches from Reinforced Stone: a quest in "PneumaticCraft" leads to a quest in "PneumaticCraft". The tank quests chain from small to medium, large and huge. The Minigun line runs from Minigun Ammo to the Minigun and then the Sentry Turret.[5]

The Charging Station quest (a quest in "PneumaticCraft") needs Reinforced Stone and Moving Pressure. It opens the Manometer, Pneumatic Wrench, Camouflage Applicator and Charging Module quests.[5]

The simple upgrade quests (Range Upgrade, Speed Upgrade, Volume Upgrade, Dispenser Upgrade and Security Upgrade) all hang off a quest called Simple Upgrades.[5]

After the Pneumatic Armor quest, each armor upgrade has its own quest. These include Block Tracker Upgrade, Entity Tracker Upgrade, Coordinate Tracker Upgrade, Stomp Upgrade, Charging Upgrade, SCUBA Upgrade, Elytra Upgrade and Magnet Upgrade. The quest titles show each upgrade's max, for example Max: 1 or Max: 6.[5]

Tip: The Micromissiles quest says these are needed to craft the ATM Star, so don't skip it once you reach the post-PCB quests.[5]

The ATM Star chapter

The ATM Star chapter has its own "PneumaticCraft" quest quest, which also asks for a Compressed Iron Ingot. After it come "Aerial Interface" quest, which asks for the Aerial Interface, and "Micromissiles" quest, which asks for Micromissiles. The Micromissiles text says you can set them to home in or fly straight, and when homing you can adjust Speed, Damage and Turn Speed.[14]

Which PneumaticCraft: Repressurized config options matter?

5 parts

PneumaticCraft's config in this pack stays close to the mod's defaults. Of the options listed in the pack's common config, two are marked as changed from the mod default, and both affect how you build and automate. The rest below are given at the value this pack's config file sets.[25]

What the pack changed

  • drones.chunkload_offline_time is 300 in this pack, while the mod default is 0. This is the time in seconds after a player logs out that their drones and Programmable Controllers can no longer chunk-load. The default of 0 allows indefinite offline chunkloading.[25]
  • machines.elevator_base_blocks_per_base is 256 in this pack, while the mod default is 6. It sets the max height of an elevator per stacked Elevator Base block, and 256 is the top of the allowed range (1 to 256).[25]

Drone and multiplayer settings

If you play on a server, a few drone and security options matter. drones.allow_any_player_var_query and drones.allow_teleport_to_protected_area are both true here. The config notes say you may want to turn them off on PvP servers, since drones can query any player's location and teleport into areas protected by other players' Security Stations.[25]

drones.max_drone_teleport_range is 0, which means no limit. drones.allow_navigate_to_unloaded_chunks is false, so drones may not navigate or teleport into unloaded chunks. The config warns that setting it to true may lead to server performance and stability issues.[25]

For Security Stations, machines.security_station_allow_hacking is true in this pack's config, which means Security Stations can be hacked. machines.security_station_creative_players_exempt is false, which means only server ops (command permission 2 or higher) are exempt from block protection.[25]

Pressure and air thresholds

Combat and destruction

In this pack's config, micromissile explosions are set not to cause terrain damage or start fires: micromissiles.damage_terrain and micromissiles.start_fires are both false. Minigun Explosive Ammo also does not damage terrain, since minigun.explosive_ammo_terrain_damage is false.[25]

Villagers and Amadron

villagers.mechanic_trades is set to ALL in this pack's config, which makes the Pressure Mechanic offer all trades. Changing it won't affect already-spawned Pressure Mechanics. For Amadron, amadron.reshuffleInterval is 24,000 ticks, which is one Minecraft day, and amadron.max_trades_per_player is 50.[25]

Tip: Heads up on one more option: this pack leaves machines.disenchanting_blacklist with Quark Ancient Tomes and all Tetra items on it. The config notes say both can lead to enchantment duping. The source doesn't mark whether that value differs from the mod default.[25]

What changed in PneumaticCraft: Repressurized between versions?

4 parts

All the Mons 1.3.0 ships PneumaticCraft: Repressurized 8.2.23, and the mod has been in the pack since 0.3.0-beta or earlier. The pack changelogs have no entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs for 8.2.15 to 8.2.23. The 8.2.17 notes were cut short in my source, so there may be more in that release.[2][30][31]

8.2.17: the big feature update

  • New Reinforced Pressure Chamber Valve, which lets the Pressure Chamber work as a tier 2 air storage and crafting system. It allows pressures up to 20 bar, and you only swap the valves, not the walls, glass or interfaces.[31]
  • Cold Sweat compatibility: the Air Conditioning module returns to help with environmental temperature extremes, and PneumaticCraft heat-handling blocks now act as Cold Sweat heat sources.[31]
  • Assembly robot arms (I/O, Drill and Laser) now take the shortest direction toward a target, and they have a facing direction that sets their resting orientation.[31]
  • Logistics Provider and Storage frames support a minimum stock level. It defaults to 0 and can be raised in the logistics configuration GUI, with item and fluid amounts set independently.[31]
  • All drones are now immune to radiation by default, so Mekanism radiation leaks no longer hurt them.[31]
  • Oil lakes no longer generate inside any structure, not just villages. This is controlled by the common config setting no_oil_lakes_in_structures, which is true by default.[31]
  • Heat Pipes can now also be crafted with copper blocks, and the compressed iron block version still works.[31]
Tip: If you built robot arms before this change, pick them up and place them again to get the facing direction. You can also rotate them with the Pneumatic Wrench.[31]

8.2.18: quality of life and fixes

  • More stonecutter recipes for Reinforced and Compressed Stone, matching the vanilla stone recipes for brick slabs, stairs and walls.[32]
  • New "Held" and "Held + Armor" charging modes for Air Canisters and the Pneumatic Armor chestplate charging upgrade.[32]
  • Fixed the Reinforced Pressure Valve not opening the Pressure Chamber GUI on right-click and not accepting upgrades.[32]
  • Fixed the Minigun using up ammo when the ammo had Unbreaking or the gun had Item Life upgrades installed.[32]

8.2.19 to 8.2.23: stability fixes

  • 8.2.19 fixed item dupe issues with the Solar Compressor. It can no longer be waterlogged or moved by pistons, even with Quark installed. It also fixed Minigun ammo not being used up when it should be.[33]
  • 8.2.20 fixed drones getting stuck in tricky pathfinding areas such as dense tree growth, and fixed tube module caching and client sync bugs.[34]
  • 8.2.20 also disabled caching of the item handler for Aerial Interface Curios slot access, because Curios inventories can resize dynamically and caching could cause crashes.[34]
  • 8.2.23, the version in this pack, fixed a crash in the Security Station that seemed to happen when the GUI was closed during a reboot.[2][35]

8.2.15 and 8.2.16

8.2.15 added a zh_cn translation, updated the ru_ru translation and fixed broken textures for flowing oil, plastic and memory essence. 8.2.16 made the potion-based Pneumatic Armor upgrade recipes (night vision, jump and jet boots) more lenient, which fixes compatibility with mods like Sensible Stackables.[30][36]

Show settings
SettingAll the Mons valueMod default
drones.chunkload_offline_time changed by All the Mons
Time in seconds after a player logs out that drones and Programmable Controllers belonging to that player can no long chunk-load. Set to 0 to allow indefinite offline chunkloading.
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
3000
machines.elevator_base_blocks_per_base changed by All the Mons
The max height of an elevator per stacked Elevator Base block.
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
2566
advanced.disable_kerosene_lamp_fake_air_block
When set to true, the Kerosene Lamp's fake air blocks won't be registered and therefore removed from the world. Useful if this causes trouble (it shouldn't though)
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
falsenot documented
advanced.dont_update_infinite_water_sources
Don't remove a water source block when picking up (drones, liquid hoppers, gas lift) if it has at least two water source neighbours. This can reduce lag due to frequent block updates, and can also potentially make water import much faster. Set this to false if you want no-infinite-water rules in a world, or want to limit the speed of water importing to vanilla block update rates.
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
truenot documented
amadron.amadrone_spawn_location
Amadrone spawn location, relative to the delivery/pickup position. This is a X/Y/Z triple. See also 'amadrone_spawn_location_relative_to_ground_level' for how the drone's Y position is calculated.
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
[30,30,0]not documented
amadron.amadrone_spawn_location_relative_to_ground_level
Affects Amadrone Y spawning position: when true, the Y position is relative to ground level at the calculated X/Z position. When false, it is relative to the delivery/pickup position.
config/pneumaticcraft-common.toml
truenot documented
