What is AllTheTweaks?
2 parts
AllTheTweaks is the mod behind the ATM Star path in this pack. The pack ships version 2.9.4 for Minecraft 1.21.1. It adds the special items that the ATM Star quest chapter asks you to make, plus the Star items you can later automate.[1][2][3]
Where it fits in progression
You meet this mod in the quest chapter "The ATM Star". It has a quest for each major item: Patrick Star, Pulsating Black Hole, Dimensional Seed, Philosopher's Fuel, Improbable Probability Device, Wither's Compass, Dragon Soul and Oblivion Shard. The Nexium Emitter is in there too, but my source for that quest was cut off, so I can't tell you more about it.[2]
The three miniature portals are quests that unlock after Apothic Mods: Miniature Nether Portal, Miniature End Portal and Miniature Exit Portal. They lean on Apotheosis shelves, and the quest text says the Miniature End Portal needs Endshelves, the last shelf tiers. The Dimensional Seed quest comes after all three portal quests, along with several other prerequisites, so it's a mid-to-late goal rather than an early one.[2]
- a quest in "The ATM Star" covers the Miniature End Portal.[2]
- a quest in "The ATM Star" covers the Miniature Nether Portal.[2]
- a quest in "The ATM Star" covers the Miniature Exit Portal, which the quest text calls the most expensive portal you can make.[2]
Automating the ATM Star
The "Creative" chapter shows the long-term payoff. Right-click a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block to get a Starry Bee ("Starry Bee!" quest). You need a second ATM Star Block for them to pollinate. Starry Bees make Starry Combs, and a Centrifuge can rarely turn those into ATM Star Shard.[3]
It takes 55 Star Shards to remake one Star, so you want a solid bee setup. Once you have that, "Fully Automated ATM Star" quest is about crafting the ATM Star with no manual work.[3]
The Patrick Star also appears in the task list of the "Unbound Pika Star" quest quest in "The Pika Star" chapter. The rest of that task list was cut off in my source.[4]
Unverified I couldn't find a general description of everything AllTheTweaks adds beyond these quest items, such as other blocks, config options or recipes. This overview only covers what the quests show.
How do you get started with AllTheTweaks?
4 parts
In this pack, AllTheTweaks is the mod behind the big end goal: crafting the ATM Star. Most of its items are components in one long chain, and nearly all the recipes were added by the pack. So the first steps are really about doing things in the right order.[2][5]
Step 1: the three miniature portals
These are your first AllTheTweaks items to aim for. All three quests unlock after the Apothic Mods quests, because the recipes lean on Apotheosis shelves. The Dimensional Seed needs all three, so you can't skip any of them.[2][5]
- Miniature Nether Portal: the quest says the main part is the Hellshelf of Masterful Sight, and that you upgrade an Infused Hellshelf to get there. See a quest in "The ATM Star".[2]
- Miniature End Portal: the quest says you need quite a few Endshelves, plus Infused Dragon's Breath to craft them. You'll also need to have made Eyes of Ender to get those shelves. See a quest in "The ATM Star".[2]
- Miniature Exit Portal: the quest calls this the most expensive portal. It mentions Dragon Eggs, Infused Dragon's Breath and Soul-Touched Sculkshelves. See a quest in "The ATM Star".[2]

Step 2: the Dimensional Seed
With all three portals done, craft the Dimensional Seed. Its quest unlocks after the three portal quests, among others.[2][5]

Recipe id: allthemods:allthetweaks/dimensional_seed
Step 3: the rest of the ATM Star parts
After the seed, the ATM Star recipe needs several more of the pack's AllTheTweaks items. Each has its own quest in The ATM Star chapter, with its own long list of prerequisites, so plan these as separate projects:[2][5]
- "Patrick Star" quest[2]
- "Dragon Soul" quest[2]
- "Improbable Probability Device" quest[2]
- "Nexium Emitter" quest[2]
- "Oblivion Shard" quest[2]
- "Philosopher's Fuel" quest[2]
- "Pulsating Black Hole" quest[2]
- "Wither's Compass" quest[2]
The final ATM Star is a Create mechanical crafting recipe added by the pack. The quest sums it up as having beaten the modpack.[2][5]

After your first star: the Star Shard route
The Creative chapter shows how to automate more stars. Right-click a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block to get a Starry Bee. You'll need another ATM Star Block for the bees to pollinate. Starry Combs go into a Centrifuge, which rarely gives ATM Star Shard. The pack changed that centrifuge recipe.[3][5]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/atm/honeycomb_starry
The quest says you need 55 Star Shards to remake one star, so a good bee setup matters. The shard-to-star recipe is also a Create mechanical crafting recipe added by the pack.[3][5]

How does AllTheTweaks work?
4 parts
Here's the honest picture for this one: the data I have for AllTheTweaks covers its config file and its recipes, and nothing about machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation. The mod's items in this pack look like crafted materials and utility items, but I can't confirm any machine-style behaviour, so I won't make any up.[5][6]
Pack mode setting
The one real system the sources show is the pack mode option, packmode.enable. The mod's default is 0, the allowed range is 0 to 8, and this pack changed it to 8. The comment in the file lists the modes as ATM = 0, SLOP = 1, SKY = 2, MAGIC = 3, EXPERT = 4, GRAVITAS = 5, LITE = 6, AOA = 7 and MON = 8, so the pack's value matches the last entry.[6]
What each mode actually changes in gameplay isn't explained in the sources, so treat the setting as a label for now.[6]
Other config values
- discord.discord is set to false. The file describes it as enabling Discord Rich Presence.[6]
- The pack version fields packversionmaj.major, packversionmin.minor and packversionminrev.minorrev are set to 1, 0 and 0, which are also the mod defaults. The file only describes them as the pack release version format.[6]
Storage blocks
The mod adds compact storage blocks: ATM Star Block, Ender Pearl Block and Nether Star Block. Their in-pack recipes are shown below.[5]

You can turn an ATM Star Block back into an ATM Star with a shapeless recipe.[5]

The pack also changed recipes that turn a 1x compressed block into the regular storage block. They cover the ATM Star Block, the Ender Pearl Block and the Nether Star Block, and they're handy if you use compressed blocks for storage.[5]

Pack-added crafted items
This pack adds shaped recipes through KubeJS for a set of late-game items from the mod. They're built from components of many other mods, so expect to gather a lot of materials. The recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack ingredients.[5]
- Dimensional Seed[5]
- Dragon Soul[5]
- Improbable Probability Device[5]
- Nexium Emitter[5]
- Oblivion Shard[5]
- Philosopher's Fuel[5]
- Wither's Compass[5]
- The portal items Miniature End Portal, Miniature Exit Portal and Miniature Nether Portal[5]

How do you progress through AllTheTweaks?
5 parts
Progression in this pack is built around one goal: crafting the ATM Star. The "ATM Star" quest asks "Does this mean you win?" and answers yes. Once you have made the star, the quest says you have beaten the modpack.[2]
You reach it in three stages. First you build three Miniature Portals and turn them into a Dimensional Seed. Next you collect the other star components. Last you craft the star, or farm it with bees if you want to automate it.[2][3][5]
Stage 1: Miniature Portals and the Dimensional Seed
All three portals sit behind the Apothic Mods quests. They are built from Apotheosis shelves, so you need enchanting progress before you start.[2]
The Miniature Nether Portal revolves around the Hellshelf of Masterful Sight. The quest says you only need to enchant up to an Infused Hellshelf, which comes from just a few shelves, and then craft with it to upgrade it further.[2][5]
Shaped (kubejs)
Recipe id: allthemods:allthetweaks/mini_nether
The Miniature End Portal needs quite a few Endshelves, the last shelf tiers from Apotheosis. The quest says you need Infused Dragon's Breath to craft them, and Eyes of Ender are part of the process too.[2][5]
Shaped (kubejs)
Recipe id: allthemods:allthetweaks/mini_end
The Miniature Exit Portal is the most expensive of the three, according to the quest. It needs a Dragon Egg, and the quest points out you can get more eggs with HNN, MA or an Extractor instead of milking the dragon. It also needs Infused Dragon's Breath from Enchanting and Soul-Touched Sculkshelves.[2][5]
Shaped (kubejs)
Recipe id: allthemods:allthetweaks/mini_exit
The "Dimensional Seed" quest quest unlocks once you have finished all three portal quests. The pack adds the Dimensional Seed recipe itself.[2][5]
Shaped (kubejs)

Stage 2: The other star components
Besides the seed, the star needs six more custom items. The pack adds a recipe for each, and each has its own quest. The quest prerequisites below show which items and machines you need to track down first.[2][5]
- Dragon Soul ("Dragon Soul" quest): its quest steps include a Socotra Dragon Sapling, an Empty Soul Gem, a Dragon Familiar in a Creature Catcher, a Piglich Heart Block, Infused Dragon's Breath, a Chain of Souls and an Abyssal Sacrifice.[2]
- Philosopher's Fuel ("Philosopher's Fuel" quest): its quest steps include 64x Magmatic Generator, an Awakened Supremium Ingot Block, a Smelter Prism, an Insanium Coal Block, Rainbow Coal, an Ender Generator and a Blaze Burner.[2]
- Wither's Compass ("Wither's Compass" quest): its quest steps include Heart of the Deep, a Wither Builder, Witherproof Bricks, a Glyph of Wither and Witherite Dust.[2]
- Oblivion Shard ("Oblivion Shard" quest): its quest steps include Eternal Stella, a Zygarde Cube, Galadorian Drills, a Void Forge, a Meat Shredder and the Gauntlet of Maelstrom.[2]
- Improbable Probability Device ("Improbable Probability Device" quest): its quest steps include 2 Antimatter Pellets, an Aerial Interface, a Singularity, 2 Rainbow Furnaces, a 256M Portable Item Cell and a Zygarde Cube.[2]
- Nexium Emitter ("Nexium Emitter" quest): its quest steps include a Nitro Player Transmitter, a Universal Wireless Terminal, a Quantum Computer Multi-Threader, a Tesla Coil and a Mechanical Arm.[2]
- Pulsating Black Hole ("Pulsating Black Hole" quest): its quest steps include Micromissiles, a Paradox Machine, a Stable Wormhole, an Explosive Mycelial Generator, a Manhattan Module and a Tear Bomb.[2]
Here are the in-pack recipes for each of them.[5]

The Patrick Star ("Patrick Star" quest) works differently. The pack adds a Create mechanical crafting recipe for it that is built from colored concrete and concrete powder, with a rotated variant as well. The pack also changed a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe so that it outputs a Patrick Star plus wax.[5]

Stage 3: Crafting the ATM Star
The "ATM Star" quest quest unlocks after the quests for all the components above. It also needs Creative Essence, a Master Ball, The Star's Casing and the final crafting step. The pack makes the star a Create mechanical crafting recipe, and a rotated variant is accepted too.[2][5]
Mechanical Crafting (create)
Recipe id: allthetweaks:allthetweaks/atm_star
The bee route to more stars
After your first star, the Creative chapter shows how to make more without redoing everything. Right-click a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block to get a Starry Bee. You need a second ATM Star Block for the bees to pollinate. Starry Bees make Starry Combs, and a centrifuge can rarely turn those into ATM Star Shards.[3][5]
The pack changed the Starry Comb centrifuge recipe. It outputs an ATM Star Shard and a Nether Star Shard.[5]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/atm/honeycomb_starry
The "Star Shards" quest quest says you need 55 Star Shards in total to remake one star. The "Fully Automated ATM Star" quest quest calls this a 100% automated way to get ATM Stars. It also makes the Creative items easier to craft.[3]

What comes after
The Pika Star chapter continues from here. Its "Unbound Pika Star" quest says you need 55 Create Mechanical Crafters placed in a star shape, upside down compared to the Patrick and ATM Stars, to craft your first Pika Star.[4]
How does AllTheTweaks work with other mods?
6 parts
AllTheTweaks is what ties the pack's end goal together: the ATM Star. Every recipe that connects it to other mods was added or changed by the pack, and most pull in items from a long list of other mods. Here's how those links work.[2][5]
The ATM Star recipe
The ATM Star is made with Create's mechanical crafting. It combines the AllTheTweaks components below with a Nether Star Block 2x, an Block of Unobtainium - Allthemodium Alloy, a Master Ball, Creative Essence and an Uru Metal Block. The final quest of the chapter says that crafting it means you have beaten the pack.[2][5]
Mechanical Crafting (create)
Recipe id: allthetweaks:allthetweaks/atm_star
A rotated version of this recipe also exists in the pack.
The components
Each component has its own pack-added recipe that mixes in other mods, and each has its own quest in the ATM Star chapter.[2][5]
- Dimensional Seed ("Dimensional Seed" quest) uses compressed blocks from AllTheCompressed, plus the three miniature portals: Miniature End Portal, Miniature Exit Portal and Miniature Nether Portal. The portals are built from Apothic Enchanting shelves, and their quests come after the Apothic Mods quests.[2][5]
- Dragon Soul ("Dragon Soul" quest) draws on Allthemodium, Apothic Enchanting, Cataclysm, Eternal Starlight, Occultism, Productive Bees and Productive Trees items.[2][5]
- Improbable Probability Device ("Improbable Probability Device" quest) reaches into AE2, MEGA Cells, Mekanism, PneumaticCraft, Iron Furnaces and Mega Showdown, for example with the Singularity and the Zygarde Cube.[2][5]
- Nexium Emitter ("Nexium Emitter" quest) combines parts from Advanced AE, AE Infinity Booster, Create, Immersive Engineering, Mekanism and Powah.[2][5]
- Oblivion Shard ("Oblivion Shard" quest) needs Cataclysm gear, a Forbidden Arcanus item, the Zygarde Cube and a Steve's Carts module.[2][5]
- Philosopher's Fuel ("Philosopher's Fuel" quest) mixes generators, fuels and blocks from Big Reactors, Create, Forbidden Arcanus, Generator Galore, Iron Furnaces, Mystical Agriculture, Mystical Agradditions and Oritech.[2][5]
- Wither's Compass ("Wither's Compass" quest) combines Ars Nouveau, Deeper Darker, Generator Galore, Industrial Foregoing, Mystical Agriculture, Mystical Agradditions and Occultism items.[2][5]
- Pulsating Black Hole ("Pulsating Black Hole" quest) is the widest mix. It pulls in AE2, Eternal Starlight, Industrial Foregoing, Just Dire Things, Occultism, Oritech, PneumaticCraft, Pocket Storage and Roots Classic items.[2][5]
- Patrick Star ("Patrick Star" quest) shows up as an output of a pack-changed Productive Bees centrifuge recipe, together with Wax.[2][5]
Shaped (kubejs)

Compressed blocks
The pack changed the AllTheCompressed recipes that compress and decompress AllTheTweaks blocks. They cover the ATM Star Block and the Nether Star Block, plus decompressing Ender Pearl Block 1x back into the Ender Pearl Block.[5]
Creative items
The ATM Star is also an ingredient for creative versions of items from other mods, all added by the pack.[5]
- Powah energizing recipes combine the star with a base item to make the Creative Energy Cell, the Creative Energy Battery and the Energy Cell (Creative). The Mekanism Creative Energy Cube has an energizing entry too.[5]
- The Creative Source Jar is made with the Enchanting Apparatus, and the Creative Spell Book is a shaped recipe.[5]
- The Creative Compressor and the Creative Compressed Iron Block are made in the Pressure Chamber.[5]
- The Creative Chemical Tank and Creative Fluid Tank use an ATM Star Block, and the Creative Locomotive uses an ATM Star Shard.[5]
- The creative Jetpack is a shaped recipe that uses the star, Creative Essence and a Block of Vibranium - Allthemodium Alloy.[5]
Bees and star shards
Productive Bees gives you an automated route to the star. Right-clicking a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block gives you a Starry Bee, and their combs go through a centrifuge, which can yield ATM Star Shard and Nether Star Shard. The pack changed these recipes.[3][5]
Pika Star link
Patrick Star also feeds the Imbued Pokemon Egg, which is made at an altar together with Maple Syrup. The Pika Star quest "Unbound Pika Star" quest lists both items.[4][5]

Which All the Mons quests use AllTheTweaks?
3 parts
AllTheTweaks items show up in three quest chapters in this pack: The ATM Star, Creative and The Pika Star. The ATM Star chapter is the main goal. Creative is where you automate the ATM Star, and The Pika Star reuses the Patrick Star item.[2][3][4]
The ATM Star chapter
This chapter is a chain of component quests, each asking you to obtain one item. The final quest, "ATM Star" quest, asks for the ATM Star. Its text says that once you have it, you have beaten the modpack.[2]
The order below follows the prerequisites listed for each quest.[2]
- The three portal quests come first. They all unlock after the Apothic Mods quest. a quest in "The ATM Star" asks for the Miniature End Portal. Its text says you need quite a few Endshelves, Infused Dragon's Breath and Eyes of Ender.[2]
- a quest in "The ATM Star" asks for the Miniature Nether Portal. Its text points to the Hellshelf of Masterful Sight, which you enchant into an Infused Hellshelf and then upgrade further by crafting.[2]
- a quest in "The ATM Star" asks for the Miniature Exit Portal. The quest text calls it the most expensive portal. It mentions Dragon Eggs, Infused Dragon's Breath from Enchanting and Soul-Touched Sculkshelves.[2]
- "Dimensional Seed" quest asks for the Dimensional Seed. It requires all three portal quests, along with several quests that are listed only by internal ID.[2]
- "Pulsating Black Hole" quest asks for the Pulsating Black Hole. Its prerequisites include Micromissiles, Paradox Machine, Stable Wormhole, Explosive Mycelial Generator, Manhattan Module and Tear Bomb.[2]
- "Philosopher's Fuel" quest asks for Philosopher's Fuel. Its prerequisites include 64x Magmatic Generator, Awakened Supremium Ingot Block, Smelter Prism, Insanium Coal Block, Insanite Blocks, Ender Generator, Rainbow Coal and Blaze Burner.[2]
- "Improbable Probability Device" quest asks for the Improbable Probability Device. Its prerequisites include 2 Antimatter Pellets, Aerial Interface, Singularity, 2 Rainbow Furnaces, a 256M Portable Item Cell and a Zygarde Cube.[2]
- "Wither's Compass" quest asks for the Wither's Compass. Its prerequisites include Heart of the Deep, Wither Builder, Withered Comb Block, Witherproof Bricks, Glyph of Wither and Witherite Dust.[2]
- "Dragon Soul" quest asks for the Dragon Soul. Its prerequisites include Socotra Dragon Sapling, Soul Lava Bee Spawn Egg, Empty Soul Gem, Piglich Heart Block, Ender Dragon Data Model, Infused Dragon's Breath, Chain of Souls and Abyssal Sacrifice.[2]
- "Oblivion Shard" quest asks for the Oblivion Shard. Its prerequisites include Eternal Stella, Zygarde Cube, Galadorian Drills, Void Forge, Meat Shredder and Gauntlet of Maelstrom.[2]
- "Nexium Emitter" quest asks for the Nexium Emitter. Its prerequisites include Nitro Player Transmitter, Universal Wireless Terminal, Quantum Computer Multi-Threader, Tesla Coil and Mechanical Arm.[2]
- "Patrick Star" quest asks for the Patrick Star. It depends on seven earlier quests that are listed only by internal ID.[2]
- "ATM Star" quest is the finale. It requires the Pulsating Black Hole, Nexium Emitter, Patrick Star, Dimensional Seed, Wither's Compass, Improbable Probability Device, Philosopher's Fuel, Dragon Soul and Oblivion Shard quests. It also requires Creative Essence, The Star's Casing, Master Ball and Crafting the ATM Star.[2]
The Creative chapter
This chapter is about making ATM Stars without crafting each one by hand. It starts with "Starry Bee!" quest, which asks for the ATM Star Block. Right-click a Patrick Bee with an ATM Star Block to get a Starry Bee. The bees need another ATM Star Block to pollinate. Starry Bees make Starry Combs, and a Centrifuge can rarely turn those into Star Shards.[3]
Next, "Star Shards" quest asks for the ATM Star Shard. It unlocks after Starry Bee! and a quest called But why?. The quest text says you need 55 Star Shards to remake 1 Star.[3]
Last, "Fully Automated ATM Star" quest asks for the ATM Star again. The text says that with 55 Star Shards you can rebuild ATM Stars with 100% automation.[3]
The Pika Star chapter
"Unbound Pika Star" quest is the quest here that involves this mod. Its tasks include an advancement and the Pika Star, and they also include the Patrick Star. It unlocks after Red 'n Blue Orbs, AllTheBadges and two quests listed only by ID.[4]
The quest text says you need 55 Create Mechanical Crafters arranged as a star, upside down compared to the Patrick and ATM Stars. You place an Altar on the ground, check the Pika Star recipe, and use the pattern preview to lay out the crafters. Then you insert the items, offer the Imbued Egg offerings to the altar, and finish with the Patrickyu Egg.[4]
Which AllTheTweaks config options matter?
3 parts
The config worth knowing in this pack is config/allthetweaks-common.toml. The one value the pack changed from the mod default is the pack mode.[6]
Pack mode
packmode.enable is set to 8 in this pack. The mod default is 0, so this is a value the pack changed. The accepted range is 0 to 8.[6]
The file's own comment lists the modes this way: ATM = 0, SLOP = 1, SKY = 2, MAGIC = 3, EXPERT = 4, GRAVITAS = 5, LITE = 6, AOA = 7 and MON = 8. That means the pack runs on the MON setting, not the default ATM one.[6]
Discord Rich Presence
discord.discord is set to false, so Discord Rich Presence is off. If you want your Discord status to show that you're playing, this is the option to look at.[6]
Version numbers
The pack's release version is split across these options: packversionmaj.major is 1, packversionmin.minor is 0, and packversionminrev.minorrev is 0. Each of these matches the mod default, and each accepts values from 0 to 32,768.[6]
