New Beginning
39 quests, with the items each asks for and where they come from in All the Mons.
- Minecraft
AllTheMons is an ATM Modpack based around Cobblemon! The goal will still be the ATM Star like usual, but this time you'll need to play through Cobblemon. Since Cobblemon (and its Addons) is such a big and important Mod, it gets its own Chapter! If you need to learn how to go through Cobblemon then check out that Chapter, this one will lead you through everything else. From Vanilla to the ATM Star!
- Putting the Craft in Minecraft
I'm going to assume you've been Crafting, right? It is MineCRAFT after all. Sure, you could craft in your Inventory using the 2x2 Crafting Grid, but that won't get you far. We need to upgrade by making a Crafting Table!
Needs: MinecraftAsks for:Crafting Table
- Item Storage
Storing Items is important. Please don't just leave them on the ground! Instead place Items into Chests! Not enough room? Make Iron Chests or Drawers! Prefer to have all your Items accessible in one Storage Network? Use AE2! If you need Items on the go, don't look for Shulkers. Instead use Backpacks or Pocket Storage.
Needs: Putting the Craft in MinecraftAsks for:Chest
- Our First Pick
Whether you are an experienced modded player, or a complete noob to MC, everyone has to make a Wooden Pickaxe. Pickaxes allow you to break most Stone and Metal blocks. This Wooden one won't last long, so make sure to gather some Cobblestone with it!
Needs: Putting the Craft in MinecraftAsks for:Wooden Pickaxe
- Cobblestone
With our Wooden Pick we'll need to Mine some Stone! Yeah, we're going to immediately replace our Wooden Pickaxe... I'd recommend collecting 18 Cobble with it before you ditch it. That's enough to make a Furance, Sword, Axe, Pickaxe, and Hoe!
Needs: Our First PickAsks for:Cobblestone
- Exploration, Combat, and Magic
These are 3 whole Categories of Mods! How did I put them all in just a few Quests? By barely scraping the barrel of what they all have to offer! You've got to find the rest.
Needs: CobblestoneAsks for:Stone Sword
- Magic
How do I define a Magic Mod? They all start differently, they all have different purposes, and end games... Well... they're all around Magic! Some about accessing the Magic through Nature like Nature's Aura and Reliquary. Others with Rituals like Forbidden & Arcanus or Occultism!
Needs: Exploration, Combat, and MagicAsks for:Paper
- Combat
Combat is an important part of all Survival Minecraft. If you want difficulties or not it all matters to your Combat. Enchanting is entirely different (and better) with Mods like Apotheosis changing how we do it. Plus other Mods adding even more Enchantments. Some Mods give little Relics or Artifacts which you can Wear and Hold to get Effects!
Needs: Exploration, Combat, and MagicAsks for:Book
- Crafting, but on a Stick
Personally, I hate having to run to a block just to craft. That's where the Crafting Table on a Stick comes in! This item works as a Portable Crafting Table! Tip: You can also put this in your Curios slot and set a Keybind to open it!
Needs: Putting the Craft in MinecraftAsks for:Crafting Table
- Exploration
There's soooo many different Mods to explore! From ones in the Overworld like Cataclysm. There's even more in their own Dimensions, like the Undergarden, Bumblezone, and Eternal Starlight. All of these Mods require Collecting new Blocks, Fighting unique Mobs, and best part is the awesome Weapons!
Needs: Exploration, Combat, and Magic - Material Farming
Modded Minecraft isn't cheap, you're going to need LOTS of Items. So let's learn how to Farm Items!
Needs: CobblestoneAsks for:Stone Hoe
- Mystical Agriculture
Now this is Material "Farming"! Underground you can find Inferium Essence. These are the backbone of Mystical Agriculture. So you'll need billion of them. With Inferium Essence and other Items, we can make Seeds. Seeds that Grow what? Practically everything!
Needs: Material FarmingAsks for:Inferium Essence
- Productive Bees
A whole 6 update versions ago and Bees still barely do anything! Unless you use Productive Bees, then they do everything! From making Honey Combs, to free AllTheModium, to duplicating Logs and Stone. These little Bee buddies do whatever you need them to. All they need is the Flowering Block and a Hive. The Upgrades and Genes are optional.
Needs: Material FarmingAsks for:Honeycomb
- Mining
It's in the name. Tons of Items are found underground, we'll need to Mine them to Collect them! Each Item needs a certain Pickaxe Tier to Mine. Cobblestone needs atleast a Wooden Pickaxe. Iron needs atleast a Stone Pickaxe. Basic Tools explains this in more depth, but you can look at the top of your screen when viewing a Block to know what Pickaxe Tier you need to Mine it!
Needs: CobblestoneAsks for:Stone Pickaxe
- Iron Age
What does Iron make? Armor, more Tools like Buckets and Shears, new Blocks like Hoppers and Cauldrons. Iron is pretty important. What you should go for first is an Iron Pickaxe though, in order to Mine Diamonds!
Needs: MiningAsks for:Iron Ingot
- A Player's Bestfriend
Diamonds, the heart and soul of Minecraft. Found below Y Level 16, most common right above Bedrock! You'll need an Iron Pickaxe (preferably with Fortune) to Mine them. Then, you can make even better Tools and Armor! These used to be the best in Vanilla, now that's Netherite. And now that there's Mods, there is even better than Netherite.
Needs: Iron AgeAsks for:Diamond
- Power
Now with Redstone we gain access to Energy! Just about every Machine in Modded Minecraft needs Energy. Most is in the form of FE (Forge Energy). Some are in similar forms like AE, these can work with FE or be translated to AE. Other Mods use their own form of Energy which is unique to theirs.
Needs: Iron AgeAsks for:Redstone
- Coal Generator
Energy creation starts with something very simple. Usually a Generator that uses Coal or Lava to make FE. All of these Generators do exactly that!
Needs: PowerAsks for:Coal Generator,
Copper Generator,
Pitiful Generator,
Heat Generator,
Furnator (Starter),
Magmator (Starter)
- Conduit
Not every Mod is like Mekanism where Machines just share Energy. Some will need you to move it instead! Pipez, Cables, Condiuts it doesn't matter all can move Energy from one Machine to another. Each Machine and Pipe has their own Configurations for where Energy goes in and out of. To change it for Energy Pipes you'll need some sort of Wrench on each end to change which Pushes and which Pulls.
Needs: PowerAsks for:Conduit Bundle,
Basic Universal Cable,
Energy Pipe,
Energy Pipe,
Energy Cable (Starter)
- Steel
Steel is entirely Modded. Not at all Vanilla, just made from the Vanilla Items of Iron and Coal. How do we make it? Just pick a Mod! Metallurgic Infuser - Mekanism Alloy Smelter - EnderIO Alloy Kin or Blast Furnace - Immersive Engineering Foundry - Oritech The Foundry - Productive Metalworks Blast Furnace - RailCraft Reborn All of these work!
Needs: Iron AgeAsks for:Steel Ingot
- Andesite Alloy
These Mods use their own unique ways of Power and Item Logistics! Create is focused on Rotational Power. You'll need Generators like Windmills or Waterwheels to create some in order to Power Machines. PneumaticCraft uses Air Pressure for most Machines and Processing. Items move around normally, just all need Air Pressure to work. Immersive Engineering is another Multiblock Mod. Just these Multiblocks are powered by Wires and Connectors instead of Pipes or just putting 2 Blocks close to each other.
Needs: SteelAsks for:Andesite Alloy,
Brick,
Compressed Iron Ingot
- Plastic
The only reason I say "simple" is due to how the Machines get Power and Items. All Items and Energy can be Piped in like normal. Oritech, Mekanism, and Industrial Foregoing are all unique Technology Mods. Oritech focuses on designing Multiblocks and processing Items through them. Mekanism focuses on processing Items to the limit with multiple different Machines and combinations. Industrial Foregoing gives us Machines each with different ways to interact with the World.
Needs: SteelAsks for:Plastic,
Steel Casing,
Magnetic Coil
- Draconium Dust
Are Draconic Evolution and Just Dire Things even Technology Mods? Draconic Evolution uses Machines and... Magic? To merge and upgrade different Blocks. It is all based on The End. Just Dire Things revolves around using Goo, to convert and create new Blocks and Items. To make new Machines and even Tools!
Needs: SteelAsks for:Draconium Dust,
Primogel Goo
- Energy Cell
There are many ways to store power! We got Powah Energy Cells. Mekanism Energy Cubes. Integrated Dynamics Energy Batteries. AE2 Energy Cells. Each of these can be upgraded to hold even more Energy! If these aren't enough check out Mekanism or Draconic Evolution for Multiblock Energy Storage.
Needs: PowerAsks for:Energy Cell,
Energy Battery,
Basic Energy Cube,
Energy Cell (Starter)
- Diamond Tools and Gear
With Diamonds we can make a Diamond Pickaxe! This can Mine all Vanilla Blocks, including Obsidian and Ancient Debris. You can also Craft Armor and Weapons... those too.
Needs: A Player's Bestfriend - The Nether
10 Obsidian in this pattern (2 on top and bottom, 3 for sides). Then, light it on Fire and we'll light up The Nether Portal. Walking through it will Teleport us to The Nether. A Dimension full of Lava, Fire, and angry Mobs.
Needs: Diamond Tools and Gear - Getting Netherite
Netherite is unique for all the Minecraft Ores. First, Mine Ancient Debris. These spawn all over The Nether, but it is safest to Mine deep below the surface because of Lava Lakes. Then, Smelt Ancient Debris to get Ancient Scrap. Combine 4 Ancient Scraps with 4 Gold Ingots to make a Netherite Ingot! Wait, our job isn't done yet. We need the Netherite Upgrade Template. These spawn in Chests in Piglin Bastions...
Needs: Diamond Tools and Gear, The NetherAsks for:Netherite Ingot,
Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template
- Netherite Tools and Gear
Once we have the Ingot and Template, use a Smithing Table to combine the Ingot and Template with a piece of Diamond Gear to upgrade it to Netherite. Netherite has the most Damage, Durability, and Protection of all Minecraft Gear! It is also entirely Fireproof (it won't make you Fire Resistant, just the Items won't burn in Lava). We'll need the strength Netherite gives in order to have a chance in the...
Needs: Diamond Tools and Gear, Getting NetheriteAsks for:Netherite Axe,
Netherite Boots,
Netherite Chestplate,
Netherite Helmet,
Netherite Hoe,
Netherite Leggings
- Deep Dark Biome
The Deep Dark is the most dangerous Biome in Minecraft. It spawns deep under Deepslate, usually below Mountains and Hills. What makes a Biome so dangerous? Sculk. Sculk comes with Sculk Sensors and Shriekers. Sensors pick up any Sound within a certain area. Mining Blocks, Shooting Arrows, Eating Food all make Sound. If a Sensor picks up a Sound it will alert nearby Sculk Shriekers. If Sculk Shriekers go off 3 times in a row they will Spawn...
Needs: Netherite Tools and Gear - Warden
The Warden. The strongest Boss of Minecraft. You know the one the creators explicitly stated you aren't meant to Kill? The Warden has 500 Hearts. He can two shot Players in full Netherite Armor. If Players are near him, he'll simply crush them with his arms. If detected much farther he'll Shoot them with his Sonic Beam. Thankfully he is nerfed by being Blind (unlike Daredevil). He works solely off Sound and Smell. Yeah, if you're too close he'll always be able to find you. If you make Sounds he can hear them and go to where you made Sound. Even with Sculk Sensors if they go off he can find you! If he hears a noise far away he may sink into Sculk to teleport closer to the Sound! So how do we Kill him? You can always try Building 23 Blocks above him and Hitting him with Arrows. 23 Blocks up is too far for his Sonic Beam! If you can Kill him he'll Drop a bunch of Sculk and Deeper and Darker Items!
Needs: Deep Dark Biome - Nether Fortress
The Nether Fortress is a Structure obviously in The Nether. It is the only natural Spawn for Wither Skeletons and Blazes. We'll need the Blazes to make Blaze Powder for Eyes of Ender. The Wither Skeletons we need to summon The Wither with their Skulls.
Needs: The Nether - The End
The Eyes of Ender can be thrown and followed to find the Stronghold! Strongholds are Structures below the ground, labyrinths of prison cells, library, and the portal room. The portal room holds the End Portal. Once you put Eyes of Ender into every End Portal Frame, the Portal will be ready. Just jump on in!
Needs: Nether Fortress - The Wither
The Wither is one of the hardest bosses to kill in Minecraft. Mainly because it flies. And explodes. And is fast. You get the picture. To summon it, place down the 4 Soul Sand in the shape of a T. Place the 3 Wither Skeleton Skulls on the top of the 'T' and the Wither will spawn. He'll have 300 Hearts at full Health, which then he'll start Flying and Shooting Wither Skulls at you! If you get him down to half Health, he'll become invulnerable to Projectiles like the Ender Dragon. Here you'll need to start Hitting him. When you Kill him he'll Drop a Nether Star! (P.S. If The Wither Kills a Mob, they'll Drop a Wither Rose!)
Needs: Nether Fortress - Ender Dragon
In The End, you'll find the final boss of Vanilla Minecraft: The Ender Dragon. The Ender Dragon has 150 Hearts. Plus it Regenerates Health from the End Crystals on top of each Obsidian Pillar. Break them while she's Healing from them to deal a ton of Damage. The Dragon has 2 modes. Flying and Perching. When Flying, she will Shoot Dragon Fire Balls at you. When they Hit something, they will Spawn Dragon's Breath on that spot. She might also ram into you to toss you far far away! When Perching she will sit above her Bedrock Nest. Here she is invulnerable to Projectiles so Arrows won't do Damage, only Melee Attacks! She might also spew Dragon's Breath in front of her when Perching. Once slain, the Dragon Egg will Spawn above her Nest! Strange things happen when you Right Click it and have it Drop onto a non-full Block.
Needs: The End - Copper Age
Copper is an Ore like Iron. Just cheaper and more Common! You'll need a Stone Pickaxe to Mine it. I only put it here instead of after the Stone Pickaxe for aesthetic purposes.
Needs: CobblestoneAsks for:Copper Ingot
- Archeology
Archeology is still important, even in AllTheMons. Craft a Brush with a Stick, Feather, and Copper Ingot! With the Brush you can Hold Right Click with it on an Item to Brush the Item. When done on certain Suspicious Blocks, Items will come out.
Needs: Copper AgeAsks for:Brush
- Hostile Neural Networks
Hostile Neural Networks is a perfect Mod for those who need to easily Farm Mob Drops. It starts out with a Deep Learner and Model Frameworks. The Model Framework needs to be set to a Mob by Right Clicking the Mob with it. Then, put the set Framework into the Deep Learner and start Killing!
Needs: Material FarmingAsks for:Model Framework
- Furnace
The Furnace is the 2nd most important Block in Minecraft. The Crafting Table is more important duhhh. The Furnace can Smelt Items to make new (usually better) Items! It can Cook Food, turn Ores to Ingots, and make whole new Blocks. The Furnace needs Fuel in its Bottom Slot. Stuff like Wood, Coal, Crops, and even Wooden Swords.
Needs: CobblestoneAsks for:Furnace
- Iron Furnaces
Iron Furnaces is a Mod that improves Furnaces. With Modded Minecraft you're going to be Smelting a ton! To save time (and TPS) use better Furnaces instead of more. The better the Furnace the faster they Smelt and more they Smelt. They also have Augments which can change everything from Fuel to Energy, to what they Smelt, to Efficiency.
Needs: FurnaceAsks for:Copper Furnace,
Iron Furnace
