What is All The Mons?
3 parts
All The Mons is the pack's own content mod for the Pokémon side of the adventure. This pack ships version 0.1.6 (allthemons-0.1.6.jar), and it has been part of the pack since All the Mons 0.3.0-beta or earlier.[1]
What it adds
The first thing you'll notice is the metal apricorns. The Master Ball quest chapter has you collect an Allthemodium Apricorn, a Vibranium Apricorn or an Unobtainium Apricorn, and any one of the three completes the quest.[2]
The second part is the ATM Team badge hunt. Defeating members of the ATM Team in their gyms earns you badges, such as allthemons:the_bathsalts_badge, The Microwave Badge and The Toblerone Badge. The badges come from the quests in the ATM Team chapter, and the chapter's quest text describes the gyms and trainers you'll meet.[3]
You keep the badges in the ATM Badge Box. Right click to open or close it, and shift right click while it's open to interact with it. Its quest unlocks after you beat Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.[3]
Who it's for
This is for you if you enjoy trainer battles and want some goals beyond the usual tech grind. The quest text describes custom gyms, wandering team members and an Elite Gym with several floors to work through.[3]
Where it fits in progression
The badge quests chain one after another. For example, Toshiba Microwave comes after the Bestbuy Gym, and Toblerone0508 comes after the Airship Chocolate Factory. The Elite Gym badges then run in a line from CesarZorak through to Notch.[3]
The pack also has a work-in-progress chapter called The Pika Star, which includes a quest named Unbound Pika Star.[4]
Unverified The sources I have don't show whether this mod is on the ATM Star quest path, so I can't say where it sits in that route. The full Pika Star chapter and the later Master Ball quests were cut off in the provided material, so those details are unconfirmed.
How do you get started with All The Mons?
6 parts
Your first big goal in this pack is building your own Pokeballs from the Allthemodium metals. The Master Ball quest chapter walks you through it, and the pack has its own recipes for every step. Here is the order to follow.[2][5]
Step one: get your Apricorns
Apricorn Trees in The Other drop metal Apricorns: Allthemodium Apricorn and Vibranium Apricorn. They behave like normal Apricorn Trees. You can pluck the Apricorns, chop the tree for wood, and replant it. Once you have those two, a Poke Mart Trader will trade you the last one, Unobtainium Apricorn.[2]
If you would rather farm them, the pack changes the Botany Pots crop recipes for all three Apricorns, so this is the pack's own version and not the mod default. Here is the Allthemodium one.[5]
Crop (botanypots)

Changed by the pack. The Vibranium and Unobtainium crops have matching recipes.
Step two: cut them into halves, then bits
Next, cut each Apricorn in half. The quest suggests a Mechanical Saw, a Sawmill, a Fragment Forge or a whole Assembly Line. The recipe list also shows a grinder route. After that, cut the halves into bits, which you need for the lids.[2][5]

Step three: ball bases and mechanisms
Each Pokeball needs a ball base. The quest warns that you will need 2 of them. You can make a base straight from a plate in the Atomic Forge, or stamp the plate into a lid shape and run it through a lathe.[2][5]
Atomic Forge (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:atomicforge/allthemodium_ball_base
The metal balls are special, so they need their own mechanisms. The mechanism is made in the Assembler.[2][5]
Assembler (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:assembler/allthemodium_ball_mechanism
Step four: lids and the finished ball
The lid is made in the Atomic Forge. The Allthemodium and Vibranium lids use a Blank Ball Lid, while the Unobtainium lid uses the Vibranium lid instead. Then you combine everything in the Assembler.[5]
Atomic Forge (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:atomicforge/allthemodium_ball_lid
Why bother?
- The Allthemodium Ball has a 4x catch chance on any Pokemon.[2]
- The Vibranium Ball has a 6x catch chance, and the quest text gives it 50x against Legendaries.[2]
- The Unobtainium Ball has a 10x catch chance. The quest text gives it 100x against Legendaries, but its in-game tooltip says 30x for legendary Pokemon, so the two disagree.[2][6]
A fire-themed side project
The Great Ball of Fire has a 2x catch rate on almost every type, 50x on Fire types and 0x on Water types. You make its lid by filling a Great Ball Lid with Soul Lava, then assemble the ball.[2][5][6]
How does All The Mons work?
4 parts
This mod is light on machines of its own. What it adds is a handful of items and one block that plug into other mods' machines, mostly the Oritech assembler. The sources for this pack don't document any multiblocks, power values, fluid handling or automation setups for the mod, so this section only covers what is confirmed.[5][6]
Pokemon Egg Incubator
The Pokemon Egg Incubator is a block that makes eggs hatch faster. Its tooltip says to put a ball on top, and the hatched mon then goes straight to your party. In this pack you craft it in an Oritech assembler rather than at a crafting table.[5][6]

Assembler-built Poké Balls
The metal balls are built in the assembler in stages. You first build a mechanism, then combine it with the lids to get the finished ball. The Unobtainium Ball shows the pattern.[5]
Assembler (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:assembler/unobtainium_ball_mechanism
First stage: the mechanism.
Second stage: the finished ball.
The Vibranium and Allthemodium balls follow the same pattern, and each metal also has an Ancient version with its own lid and mechanism. The Ancient Great Ball of Fire skips a custom mechanism and uses one from another mod instead.[5]
Assembler (oritech)

The Ancient Great Ball of Fire, built with a mechanism from another mod.
- Unobtainium Ball: 10x catch rate, and 30x for legendary Pokémon.[5][6]
- Ancient Unobtainium Ball: its tooltip gives the same 10x catch rate, and 30x for legendary Pokémon.[5][6]
- Great Ball of Fire: 2x catch rate, 50x for fire types, and 0x against water types.[5][6]
- Ancient Great Ball of Fire: its tooltip lists the same 2x, 50x for fire types and 0x against water types.[5][6]
The sources give no catch rate for the Vibranium or Allthemodium balls, so check them in game before you rely on them.[5][6]
Atomic Forge step
One recipe uses the Oritech atomic forge. It turns a Half Allthemodium Apricorn into Allthemodium Apricorn Bits.[5]

Crafting-table items
Some items are plain crafting recipes. The PC on a Stick and Healing Station on a Stick are built from Cobblemon's PC and healing machine respectively, each combined with a wooden rod.[5]

Unverified Power use, speed and automation (for example hopper or pipe input and output) for the Pokemon Egg Incubator and the assembler recipes are not documented in the sources here, and no config files for this mod were found in the pack. Treat anything beyond the tooltip as unconfirmed.
How do you progress through All The Mons?
4 parts
Progression in this pack runs on two tracks that meet at the Pika Star. One is the metal Pokeball line in the Master Ball quest chapter. The other is the ATM Team gym and badge chain. Both are quest-guided, so you can follow the book from start to finish.[2][3][4]
Track 1: the metal Pokeballs
It starts with "Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest. In The Other you'll find Apricorn Trees that grow Allthemodium and Vibranium Apricorns. Once you have those, you trade with a Poké Mart Trader for the Unobtainium one. The trees work like normal Apricorn Trees: pluck the fruit, chop the wood, and replant.[2]
If you'd rather farm them, the pack changed the Botany Pots crop recipes for the Allthemodium Apricorn, the Vibranium Apricorn and the Unobtainium Apricorn.[5]
After that, the quest line follows these steps, and every metal tier uses the same chain:[2]
- Cut your Apricorns in half ("Half Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest). The quest suggests a Mechanical Saw, a Sawmill, a Fragment Forge or a whole Assembly Line.[2]
- Turn the halves into Apricorn Bits ("Allthemodium Metal Apricorn Bits" quest), which you need for the lids.[2]
- Get the Ball Bases ("Allthemodium Metal Ball Bases" quest). They can be made from plain metal plates or from stamped plate lids ("Allthemodium Metal Plates" quest). The quest warns you'll need 2 of them.[2][5]
- Craft the special Mechanisms ("Allthemodium Metal Mechanisms" quest) and the Ball Lids ("Allthemodium Metal Lids" quest).[2]
- Combine everything into the finished ball ("Allthemodium Vibranium and Unobtainium Balls" quest).[2]

Atomic Forge (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:atomicforge/allthemodium_ball_lid

The Unobtainium lid is different from the others. Its Atomic Forge recipe takes a Vibranium Ball Lid as an input, so you need a Vibranium lid before you can make it.[5]

Tier breakdown
- Allthemodium Ball: a 4x catch chance on any Pokemon. The quest notes that 4x is about the highest most Pokeballs go, apart from the Quick, Love and Beast Ball.[2]
- Vibranium Ball: a 6x catch chance, and 50x on Legendaries.[2]
- Unobtainium Ball: a 10x catch chance, and 100x on Legendaries. The quest says the Origin Ball is better.[2]
- Great Ball of Fire: a 2x chance on almost every type, 50x on Fire types and 0x on Water types. So skip it for Mudkips.[2]
First step for the Great Ball of Fire.
You can also build Ancient versions of these balls, such as the Ancient Vibranium Ball. The quest says they need Ancient Ball Mechanisms and Apricorn Wood Lids. Balls you craft are identical to the ones you'd find.[2]
Track 2: the ATM Team badges
Beating ATM Team members at their custom gyms earns you badges. The ATM Badge Box ("ATM Badge Box" quest) is where you keep them. It unlocks after Beat Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Right click to open or close it, and Shift Right Click while it's open to interact with it.[3]
Several early badges have their own gym prerequisites: "Toshiba Microwave" quest after the Bestbuy Gym, "Toblerone0508" quest after the Airship Chocolate Factory, "Oly2o6" quest after Steve's Staycation, and "Lobsterjonn" quest after Nektar and Lego. "Bathsalts" quest has no prerequisite listed.[3]
The Elite Gym then runs as a chain. "CesarZorak" quest comes first and needs Beat Wandering ATM Team Members, Beat all Team Members at their Gyms and The Elite Gym. After that the order is:[3]
- "_Rosary_" quest, in the lobby.[3]
- "Satherov" quest, on the 1st floor (Containment Facilities).[3]
- "Uncandango" quest, on the 2nd floor (Wellness Center).[3]
- "Thevortex" quest, on level 3 (Solaris Hall).[3]
- "Whatthedrunk" quest, on the 4th floor (Champion's Club).[3]
- "Notch" quest, on the final floor. Reach him through the Simulations Laboratory: jump while inside the Chamber to enter a maze that leads to the Temple of Notch.[3]
Beating Notch gives you an Ancient DNA Sample ("Capturing Mewtwo" quest). Use it with an Unbound Pika Star in the Fossil Analyzer to clone Mewtwo. You'll need the Data Monitor on top of the Analyzer, a Restoration Tank next to them, and enough biofuel to fill the tank. Then use a Pokeball on the tank to collect him.[3]
The Pika Star
The Pika Star recipe is a Create mechanical crafting recipe. It uses the badges from the ATM Team track, along with an Imbued Pokemon Egg and a long list of other items.[5]
Mechanical Crafting (create)
Recipe id: allthemons:pika_star
The quest ("Unbound Pika Star" quest) says you need 55 Create Mechanical Crafters shaped as a star. That star is upside down compared to the Patrick and ATM Stars. It also describes an altar ritual for the Imbued Egg.[4]
The next quest covers a regional Pika Star. You send out 6 Pokémon from the same region near the altar and fill Display Cases with any Mega Stones. Then you offer the 4 ancient Pokéballs and the Unbound Pika Star to start the ritual. The task list names the three ancient metal balls plus the Cobblemon Ancient Origin Ball. A Shiny Pika Star quest sits further along, behind many prerequisite quests.[4]
How does All The Mons work with other mods?
6 parts
All The Mons leans on other mods for almost all of its crafting. The Pokeball progression runs through machines from Oritech, Create, Mekanism and PneumaticCraft, and the ingredients come from Cobblemon, Create Mons Balls Overhaul and the Allthemodium metals. Here's how the pieces fit together.[5]
Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium balls
Each metal ball starts with a ball base made from a plate of the matching metal, like Allthemodium Plate. You can make the base in an Oritech atomic forge or a PneumaticCraft assembly drill.[5]
The Allthemodium and Vibranium lids use a block of the metal, the matching apricorn bits and a Blank Ball Lid. The Unobtainium lid swaps the blank lid for a Vibranium ball lid. The Allthemodium Ball Lid can be made in an Oritech atomic forge or a PneumaticCraft pressure chamber.[5]
The mechanisms combine a nugget of the metal, the ball base and a Create Shaft. The Allthemodium one can be made in an Oritech assembler or in a pressure chamber.[5]
Assembler (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:assembler/allthemodium_ball_mechanism
The Oritech assembler version of the Allthemodium mechanism. A PneumaticCraft pressure chamber recipe exists for it too.
To finish a ball, the assembler takes the lid, the mechanism, a blank ball lid and an iron rod. The Allthemodium Ball can also be finished in a pressure chamber.[5]
The Ancient versions use the same machines. The Ancient Allthemodium and Ancient Vibranium lids are made from the normal lid plus Tumblestone Dust. The Ancient mechanisms use an ingot instead of a nugget, such as Allthemodium Ingot.[5]
If you'd rather use Create, you can make the stamped plate lids with a deployer, using a metal plate and the Rubber Stamp (Lid). A stamper recipe does the same job.[5]
Soul Lava and Great Ball of Fire
Great Ball of Fire Lid is made by filling a Great Ball Lid with Soul Lava using Create's filling. The Ancient version works the same way with the Ancient Great Ball Lid. A PneumaticCraft pressure chamber can make the Ancient lid too, using a Soul Lava Bucket.[5]
The finished Great Ball of Fire is an Oritech assembler recipe. It uses the Soul Lava lid and a Sturdy Ball Mechanism from Create Mons Balls Overhaul.[5]
Tumblestones and coated lids with Mekanism
Mekanism turns Tumblestone, Sky Tumblestone and Black Tumblestone into standard, light and dense tumblestone. The matching dusts from Create Mons Balls Overhaul work too, through either oxidizing or chemical conversion.[5]
Standard tumblestone is then used in metallurgic infusing to turn colored ball lids into their coated versions, such as Coated Red Ball Lid.[5]
Cobblemon helpers
PC on a Stick and Healing Station on a Stick are plain crafting recipes. They take a Cobblemon PC or Healing Machine plus a wooden rod.[5]

Mewtwo and the Pika Star
Two recipes were added by the pack itself and use a Summoning Rituals altar. Deoxys Crystal needs an Ancient DNA Sample and Oritech's Plutonium Pellet. Imbued Pokemon Egg needs Patrick Star, Maple Syrup and Create sandpaper.[5]
This one was added by the pack and is made at a Summoning Rituals altar.
Pika Star is a big Create mechanical crafting recipe. It pulls from this mod's imbued egg and ATM Team badges, then adds Cobblemon berries and candy, Mega Showdown orbs, nectars and Tera Shards, a Productive Trees star fruit and a Thunder TM.[5]
Mechanical Crafting (create)
Recipe id: allthemons:pika_star
The Pika Star then goes into Mewtwo's fossil recipe together with an Ancient DNA Sample. The quest "Capturing Mewtwo" quest tells you that you find the sample after beating Notch. It also lists what you need for the cloning setup: a Fossil Analyzer with a Data Monitor on top, a Restoration Tank next to them, and enough biofuel to fill the tank.[3][5]
Metal apricorns
The quest "Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest says Allthemodium and Vibranium Apricorns grow on trees in The Other. You can then trade with a Poké Mart Trader for the Unobtainium one. In "Half Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest you cut the apricorns in half with the Mechanical Saw, a Sawmill or a Fragment Forge, or you can run them through a whole Assembly Line.[2]
Which All the Mons quests use All The Mons?
4 parts
Four quest chapters touch this mod: Getting Started, ATM Team, Master Ball and The Pika Star (WIP). Here is what each one asks for, following the prerequisites shown in the quest data.[2][3][4][7]
Getting Started
- a quest in "Getting Started" comes after the PC quest and asks for PC on a Stick. It works like a crafting table on a stick, so you can use your PC on the road. The quest also mentions a Healing Station variation.[7]
- "Pokemon Breeding" quest comes after the Pasture Block quest and asks for a Pokemon Egg. Two Pokémon roaming in a Pasture can breed. You need a male and a female in the same Egg Group, and the baby is the same species as the mother. Some Pokémon and attributes can't breed at all, and once all requirements are met the female lays an egg every once in a while.[7]
ATM Team
This chapter is a badge hunt. Each quest asks you to beat a member of the ATM Team and hand in their badge. The quest descriptions double as a tour of the custom gyms.[3]
- "Bathsalts" quest asks for allthemons:the_bathsalts_badge, and no prerequisite is listed for it.[3]
- "ATM Badge Box" quest comes after the Beat Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl quest and asks for the ATM Badge Box. Right click it to open or close it, and shift right click while it is open to interact with it.[3]
- Four more badges unlock after gym-related quests. "Toshiba Microwave" quest gives The Microwave Badge and "Toblerone0508" quest gives The Toblerone Badge. "Oly2o6" quest gives The Skyblock Badge and "Lobsterjonn" quest gives The Lobster Badge.[3]
- "CesarZorak" quest asks for The Artist Badge in the lobby of the Elite Gym. It needs the wandering team members, all team members at their gyms, and the Elite Gym quests done first.[3]
After that the quests form a chain up through the Elite Gym floors, each one unlocking after the previous.[3]
- "_Rosary_" quest in the lobby: The Ralph Badge.[3]
- "Satherov" quest on the 1st floor, the Containment Facilities: The Kitty Badge.[3]
- "Uncandango" quest on the 2nd floor, the Wellness Center: The Unknown Badge.[3]
- "Thevortex" quest on level 3, the Solaris Hall: The Vortex Badge.[3]
- "Whatthedrunk" quest on the 4th floor, the Champion's Club: The Drunk Badge.[3]
- "Notch" quest on the final floor, the Team Commons: The Notch Badge. You reach him through the Simulations Laboratory, then a maze, then the Temple of Notch.[3]
- "Capturing Mewtwo" quest after beating Notch: you find an Ancient DNA Sample.[3]
The Capturing Mewtwo quest says to use the Ancient DNA Sample with an Unbound Pika Star in the Fossil Analyzer. You need a Data Monitor on top of the analyzer, a Restoration Tank next to them, and enough biofuel to fill the tank. Once Mewtwo is cloned, use a Pokeball on the tank to collect it.[3]
Master Ball
This chapter walks you through making the metal Pokeballs yourself. The order below follows the quest prerequisites. A few of the quests they depend on don't appear in my data, so some steps in between are missing.[2]
- "Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest: collect an Allthemodium Apricorn, Vibranium Apricorn or Unobtainium Apricorn. Apricorn Trees with the Allthemodium and Vibranium kinds grow in The Other, and you can trade a Poké Mart Trader for Unobtainium.[2]
- "Half Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest: cut an apricorn in half to get a Half Allthemodium Apricorn, Half Vibranium Apricorn or Half Unobtainium Apricorn. The quest suggests the Mechanical Saw, a Sawmill, a Fragment Forge, an Assembly Line or magic.[2]
- "Allthemodium Metal Apricorn Bits" quest asks for apricorn bits such as Allthemodium Apricorn Bits. "Allthemodium Metal Plates" quest accepts plates, stamped or not, such as Allthemodium Stamped Plate Lid.[2]
- "Allthemodium Metal Ball Bases" quest asks for ball bases such as Vibranium Ball Base, and the quest warns you will need 2. "Allthemodium Metal Mechanisms" quest asks for special mechanisms such as Unobtainium Ball Mechanism.[2]
- "Allthemodium Metal Lids" quest asks for ball lids such as Allthemodium Ball Lid.[2]
- "Allthemodium Vibranium and Unobtainium Balls" quest asks for the finished Allthemodium Ball, Vibranium Ball and Unobtainium Ball. The quest text says the Allthemodium ball has a 4x catch chance. The Vibranium ball has 6x, with 50x for Legendaries. The Unobtainium ball has 10x, with 100x for Legendaries.[2]
- "Pokeballs!" quest accepts any of the crafted balls, including the Ancient versions such as Ancient Vibranium Ball. Ancient balls need Ancient Ball Mechanisms and Apricorn Wood Lids, and the quest says crafted balls are identical to ones you find.[2]
There is also a fire branch. "Great Ball of Fire Lid" quest asks for the Great Ball of Fire Lid. "Great Ball of Fire" quest then asks for the Great Ball of Fire. According to the quest, it has a 2x chance on almost every type, 50x on Fire types and 0x on Water types.[2]
The Pika Star (WIP)
This chapter is marked work in progress. "Unbound Pika Star" quest is the Unbound Pika Star quest. Its description says you need 55 Create Mechanical Crafters arranged as a star, built around an altar, to craft your first Pika Star. Its task list also includes Patrick Star and maple syrup items.[4]
The quest after it, a quest in "The Pika Star (WIP)", covers the regional Pika Star. Send out 6 Pokémon from the same region near the altar, fill Display Cases with any Mega Stones, and offer the 4 ancient Pokéballs. These are Ancient Allthemodium Ball, Ancient Vibranium Ball, Ancient Unobtainium Ball and Ancient Origin Ball. Then offer the Unbound Pika Star to start the ritual. For Kanto, the quest lists Abra, Rattata, Charmander, Pikachu, Grimer and Staryu.[4]
a quest in "The Pika Star (WIP)" asks for the Shiny Pika Star. It unlocks after a long list of other quests and has no description.[4]
