What is All The Mons?
2 parts
All The Mons is the add-on that ties the pack's Pokémon side to the ATM metals. This pack ships version 0.1.4 of it. It's for you if you want to catch Pokémon with better gear than the standard Pokéballs.[1][2]
Metal Apricorns and Pokéballs
The quest book says you'll find Apricorn Trees in The Other that grow Allthemodium Apricorn and Vibranium Apricorn. They work like normal Apricorn Trees: you can pluck the Apricorns, chop the tree for wood, and replant. The last metal type, Unobtainium Apricorn, comes from trading with a Poké Mart Trader.[2]
From there you build the balls yourself. The quest chain covers halving the Apricorns, then making Apricorn Bits, plates, lids, ball bases and mechanisms, and finally the ball itself. Start with "Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest and finish at "Pokeballs!" quest.[2]
The quest text gives these catch rates. Allthemodium Ball has a 4x chance. Vibranium Ball has a 6x chance, with 50x for Legendaries. Unobtainium Ball has a 10x chance, with 100x for Legendaries.[2]
There is also the Great Ball of Fire and a set of Ancient versions, such as Ancient Unobtainium Ball. The quest says Ancient Balls need Ancient Ball Mechanisms and Apricorn Wood Lids. It also says balls you craft are identical to ones you find.[2]
The ATM Team badges
The mod also adds a quest chapter called "ATM Team". It tracks a collection of badges, starting with the ATM Badge Box and including allthemons:the_bathsalts_badge, The Microwave Badge and The Notch Badge. The chain ends with an Ancient DNA Sample quest that unlocks after the Notch badge.[3]
Unverified The sources don't say where this mod sits in the pack's overall progression, and it is not on the ATM Star quest path. Treat the timing of the Master Ball chapter as unconfirmed beyond the quest book's pointer to The Other.
How do you get started with All The Mons?
5 parts
The first big goal in this pack is building your own Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium Pokéballs. The Master Ball quest chain walks you through it, so here is the order I'd follow.[2]
Step 1: Get your apricorns
In The Other you'll find Apricorn Trees that grow Allthemodium and Vibranium Apricorns. They act like normal Apricorn Trees: pluck the apricorns, chop the tree for wood, and replant. Once you have those two, you can trade with a Poké Mart Trader for the Unobtainium one. These are the Allthemodium Apricorn, Vibranium Apricorn and Unobtainium Apricorn.[2]
Once you have seeds, you can also grow apricorns in Botany Pots. The pack changes this crop recipe, so use the one shown here and not a default from memory.[4]
Crop (botanypots)

- any dirt soil
Recipe id: allthemons:botanypots/crop/allthemodium_apricorn
The Vibranium and Unobtainium apricorns have matching crop recipes.
Step 2: Cut them in half, then into bits
The quest suggests cutting apricorns with a Mechanical Saw, a Sawmill or a Fragment Forge, or running them through a whole assembly line. The pack also has Oritech grinder and Mekanism sawing recipes for the same job. Cutting gives you Half Allthemodium Apricorn, and cutting that again gives Allthemodium Apricorn Bits. You need the bits later for the lids.[2][4]
Cutting (create)
Recipe id: allthemons:cutting/half_allthemodium_apricorn
Cutting (create)
Recipe id: allthemons:cutting/allthemodium_apricorn_bits
Step 3: Ball bases and mechanisms
Next come the Allthemodium Ball Base items. The quest warns you need 2 of them, however you get them. Stamping plates is optional: the quest says some plates can just stay as normal plates. The Atomic Forge recipe below makes a base directly from a plate.[2][4]
Atomic Forge (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:atomicforge/allthemodium_ball_base
These three metal balls are special, so they need their own mechanisms, like the Allthemodium Ball Mechanism.[2]
Assembler (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:assembler/allthemodium_ball_mechanism
Step 4: Lids and the finished ball
The Allthemodium Ball Lid uses your apricorn bits, so this is where the earlier cutting pays off.[2][4]
Atomic Forge (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:atomicforge/allthemodium_ball_lid
Finally, the assembler recipe below turns your lid and mechanism into the Allthemodium Ball.[4]
The quest says the Allthemodium ball has a 4x catch chance. The Vibranium ball has a 6x chance, and 50x against legendaries. The Unobtainium ball has a 10x chance. For the other metals, repeat the same chain with their own apricorns, bases, mechanisms and lids.[2]
Handy extras
- The PC on a Stick works like a crafting table on a stick, so you can reach your PC on the road. It also comes in a Healing Station variation.[5]
- Two Pokémon in a Pasture can breed if they are male and female and share an Egg Group. The baby hatches from a Pokemon Egg and is the same species as the mother.[5]
How does All The Mons work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mons 1.0.0-rc.6 guide
This mod is light on machines of its own. What it adds is a handful of items and one block that plug into other mods' machines, mostly the Oritech assembler. The sources for this pack don't document any multiblocks, power values, fluid handling or automation setups for the mod, so this section only covers what is confirmed.[6][7]
Pokemon Egg Incubator
The Pokemon Egg Incubator is a block that makes eggs hatch faster. Its tooltip says to put a ball on top, and the hatched mon then goes straight to your party. In this pack you craft it in an Oritech assembler rather than at a crafting table.[6][7]
Assembler (oritech)
Protein
White Wool
- any colorless glass blocks
- any copper storage block
Recipe id: allthemons:assembler/pokemon_egg_incubator
Made in the assembler, not at a crafting table.
Assembler-built Poké Balls
The metal balls are built in the assembler in stages. You first build a mechanism, then combine it with the lids to get the finished ball. The Unobtainium Ball shows the pattern.[7]
Assembler (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:assembler/unobtainium_ball_mechanism
First stage: the mechanism.
Second stage: the finished ball.
The Vibranium and Allthemodium balls follow the same pattern, and each metal also has an Ancient version with its own lid and mechanism. The Ancient Great Ball of Fire skips a custom mechanism and uses one from another mod instead.[7]
Assembler (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:assembler/ancient_soul_lava_ball
The Ancient Great Ball of Fire, built with a mechanism from another mod.
- Unobtainium Ball: 10x catch rate, and 30x for legendary Pokémon.[6][7]
- Ancient Unobtainium Ball: its tooltip gives the same 10x catch rate, and 30x for legendary Pokémon.[6][7]
- Great Ball of Fire: 2x catch rate, 50x for fire types, and 0x against water types.[6][7]
- Ancient Great Ball of Fire: its tooltip lists the same 2x, 50x for fire types and 0x against water types.[6][7]
The sources give no catch rate for the Vibranium or Allthemodium balls, so check them in game before you rely on them.[6][7]
Atomic Forge step
One recipe uses the Oritech atomic forge. It turns a Half Allthemodium Apricorn into Allthemodium Apricorn Bits.[7]
Atomic Forge (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:atomicforge/allthemodium_apricorn_bits
The atomic forge recipe for the apricorn bits.
Crafting-table items
Some items are plain crafting recipes. The PC on a Stick and Healing Station on a Stick are built from Cobblemon's PC and healing machine respectively, each combined with a wooden rod.[7]

Unverified Power use, speed and automation (for example hopper or pipe input and output) for the Pokemon Egg Incubator and the assembler recipes are not documented in the sources here, and no config files for this mod were found in the pack. Treat anything beyond the tooltip as unconfirmed.
How do you progress through All The Mons?
7 parts
Progression for this mod is a crafting ladder, and the pack's Master Ball quest chapter walks you up it. You start with metal apricorns, cut them up, turn them into bits, build bases, mechanisms and lids, and finish with the Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium balls. The tiers get stronger in that order. A separate Pika Star chapter then asks for the ancient versions of those balls.[2][8]
Step 1: Metal apricorns
The first quest, "Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest, sends you to The Other. Apricorn Trees there grow Allthemodium and Vibranium Apricorns. They work like normal Apricorn Trees: pluck the apricorns, chop the tree for wood, and replant. Once you have those two, the quest says you can trade with a Poké Mart Trader for the last one, Unobtainium Apricorn.[2]
The pack has also changed the Botany Pots crop recipes for all three metal apricorns, so you can grow them in pots too. Each recipe takes a seed and a dirt-type soil and gives back the apricorn plus the seed.[4]
Crop (botanypots)
Allthemodium Apricorn Seed
- any dirt soil
Recipe id: allthemons:botanypots/crop/allthemodium_apricorn
The Vibranium and Unobtainium apricorn crops follow the same pattern in the pack.
Step 2: Halves and bits
In "Half Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest you cut each apricorn in half. The quest suggests the Mechanical Saw, a Sawmill, a Fragment Forge or a full Assembly Line. The recipe dump confirms this works in several machines: Create cutting, Mekanism sawing, the Oritech grinder and the PneumaticCraft assembly laser.[2][4]
Cutting (create)
Recipe id: allthemons:cutting/half_allthemodium_apricorn
Next, "Allthemodium Metal Apricorn Bits" quest turns the halves into bits, for example Allthemodium Apricorn Bits. You need these for the lids later. The Oritech atomic forge, Create cutting, Mekanism sawing and the PneumaticCraft assembly laser all have bit recipes.[2][4]
Step 3: Plates, bases and mechanisms
"Allthemodium Metal Plates" quest asks for metal plates. Stamping them is optional, and some can stay as plain plates. A plate becomes a ball base in the Oritech atomic forge or the PneumaticCraft assembly drill. A stamped plate lid can instead go through the Mekanism lathe, and stamped plate lids come from Create deploying or Mekanism stamping with a lid rubber stamp. "Allthemodium Metal Ball Bases" quest covers the bases and warns that you'll need 2.[2][4]
Atomic Forge (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:atomicforge/allthemodium_ball_base
"Allthemodium Metal Mechanisms" quest is next. These metal balls are special, so they need special mechanisms, and the pack makes them in the Oritech assembler.[2][4]
Assembler (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:assembler/allthemodium_ball_mechanism
Step 4: Lids and finished balls
"Allthemodium Metal Lids" quest covers the ball lids. In this pack all three metal lids are made in the Oritech atomic forge.[2][4]
Atomic Forge (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:atomicforge/unobtainium_ball_lid
The Unobtainium lid recipe builds on the Vibranium Ball Lid, so make the Vibranium lid first.
Finally, "Allthemodium Vibranium and Unobtainium Balls" quest has you put the balls together. In the pack that happens in the Oritech assembler.[2][4]
What each tier gets you
- Allthemodium Ball: a 4x catch chance on any Pokémon. The quest says 4x is the highest most Pokéballs go, apart from the Quick, Love and Beast Balls.[2]
- Vibranium Ball: a 6x catch chance, and 50x for Legendaries.[2]
- Unobtainium Ball: a 10x catch chance, and 100x for Legendaries. The quest says the only better balls are the Origin Ball and one more that it leaves unnamed.[2]
- Great Ball of Fire: a 2x chance on almost every type, 50x on Fire types and 0x on Water types. Its lid ("Great Ball of Fire Lid" quest) is made by filling a Great Ball Lid with soul lava, using Create filling.[2][4]
Ancient balls
"Pokeballs!" quest says you can build almost any ball yourself, and that some are more expensive than others. Ancient versions need Ancient Ball Mechanisms and Apricorn Wood Lids. These balls are identical to the ones you would find, so you lose nothing by crafting them. The Ancient Allthemodium, Vibranium, Unobtainium and Great Ball of Fire all have Oritech assembler recipes.[2][4]
Assembler (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:assembler/ancient_allthemodium_ball
Beyond the balls: the Pika Star
The chapter is titled "The Pika Star (WIP)" in the pack. Its first quest, "Unbound Pika Star" quest, covers the Unbound Pika Star. You build a star out of 55 Create Mechanical Crafters, upside down compared to the Patrick and ATM Stars. You then run the altar ritual with an Imbued Egg.[8]
The Pika Star recipe is a Create mechanical crafting recipe. Besides the Imbued Pokemon Egg and items from Cobblemon, Mega Showdown and Productive Trees, it uses the badges from the ATM Team chapter.[4]
That chapter has a quest for each badge, plus one for the ATM Badge Box. From the Artist badge onward the quests follow in order: Ralph, Kitty, Unknown, Vortex, Drunk, then Notch. The last quest in the chain asks for an Ancient DNA Sample.[3]
Mechanical Crafting (create)
Recipe id: allthemons:pika_star
After the Unbound Pika Star, the regional version asks for a lot more. The quest says to send out 6 Pokémon from the same region near the altar and fill Display Cases with Mega Stones. You also offer 4 ancient Pokéballs: the Ancient Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium Balls, plus the Cobblemon Ancient Origin Ball. A separate quest asks for the Shiny Pika Star.[8]
How does All The Mons work with other mods?
6 parts
A big part of All The Mons is plugging other mods' materials and machines into the Poké Ball chain. Everything below comes from in-pack recipes and quests, so it's exactly how this pack works.[2][4]
Allthemodium metals feed the special balls
The Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium balls are built from the metals of the Allthemodium mod: plates, blocks, nuggets and ingots all appear in the ball base, lid and mechanism recipes. Create's Shaft and the blank and apricorn lids from Create Mon Balls Overhaul show up in them too. Here's a base made from a plate:[4]
Atomic Forge (oritech)
Recipe id: allthemons:atomicforge/allthemodium_ball_base
The Vibranium and Unobtainium bases follow the same pattern with their own plates.
The Master Ball quest chain walks you through the whole path: "Allthemodium Metal Plates" quest for the plates, "Allthemodium Metal Ball Bases" quest for the bases, "Allthemodium Metal Mechanisms" quest for the mechanisms, "Allthemodium Metal Lids" quest for the lids and "Pokeballs!" quest for the finished balls. The base quest warns you'll need 2 bases.[2]
Pick your machine
The same ball parts can be made in several mods' machines, so you can use whatever tech you already have running:[4]
- Oritech: the Atomic Forge makes bases and lids, and the Assembler makes mechanisms and finished balls. The Assembler also makes the Pokemon Egg Incubator.[4]
- PneumaticCraft: the Assembly Drill makes bases from plates, and the Pressure Chamber makes lids, mechanisms and finished balls.[4]
- Create: Deploying a plate with the Rubber Stamp (Lid) gives you a stamped plate lid.[4]
- A stamper machine recipe (mekmm:stamper) makes the same stamped plate lids from a plate and the rubber stamp.[4]
One of the Oritech Assembler routes for a finished ball.
Create and the Great Ball of Fire
Create's filling recipe turns a Great Ball Lid into the Great Ball of Fire Lid using Soul Lava. The PneumaticCraft Pressure Chamber has its own route for the Ancient version, using a Soul Lava Bucket. Quest "Great Ball of Fire Lid" quest covers the lid and "Great Ball of Fire" quest covers the finished ball.[2][4]
Mekanism and tumblestone
Mekanism can process Cobblemon's tumblestones, and the Tumblestone Dust from Create Mon Balls Overhaul, into the pack's own standard, light and dense tumblestone. The standard one is then used in Metallurgic Infusing to coat the colored ball lids, giving you the coated lid versions.[4]

The Pika Star crosses a lot of mods
The Pika Star pulls from nearly everything. Its recipe is a Create mechanical crafting pattern that combines the ATM badges with items from Cobblemon, Mega Showdown, Productive Trees and Simple TMs. The quest says it needs 55 Create Mechanical Crafters laid out as a star. The chapter is labeled WIP, so details may still change.[4][8]
Mechanical Crafting (create)
Recipe id: allthemons:pika_star
The Pika Star also needs an Imbued Pokemon Egg. That one comes from an altar recipe (summoningrituals:altar) added by the pack, and it crosses over into items from AllTheTweaks and Productive Trees.[4][8]
Altar (summoningrituals)
Patrick Star
Maple Syrup
- any sandpaper
Recipe id: allthemons:imbued_pokemon_egg
Once you have a Pika Star, the pack's fossil recipe combines it with an Ancient DNA Sample to produce Mewtwo. In the ATM Team chapter, the quest a quest in "ATM Team" for the DNA sample comes after the Notch badge quest.[3][4]
Which All the Mons quests use All The Mons?
4 parts
This mod's quests are spread over four chapters: Getting Started, Master Ball, The Pika Star (WIP) and ATM Team. The Master Ball chapter is the big one, so that's where most of your crafting goals are.[2][3][5][8]
Getting Started
- a quest in "Getting Started" asks for a PC on a Stick. It works like a crafting table on a stick, so you can use your PC on the road, and there is a Healing Station variation too. It comes after the PC quest.[5]
- "Pokemon Breeding" quest asks for a Pokemon Egg and comes after the Pasture Block quest. Two Pokémon in a Pasture can breed if they are male and female and share an Egg Group. The baby is the same species as the mother.[5]
Master Ball
This chapter takes you from picking Apricorns to crafting metal Pokéballs. "Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest starts it and asks for an Allthemodium Apricorn, Vibranium Apricorn or Unobtainium Apricorn. You find the Allthemodium and Vibranium ones on Apricorn Trees in The Other. The quest text says you can trade with a Poké Mart Trader for the Unobtainium one.[2]
After that you work through the parts, and each quest accepts any of the three metals:[2]
- "Half Allthemodium Metal Apricorns" quest: cut an Apricorn in half, for example with the Mechanical Saw, a Sawmill, a Fragment Forge or an Assembly Line. This gives you a Half Allthemodium Apricorn or one of the other halves.[2]
- "Allthemodium Metal Apricorn Bits" quest: Apricorn Bits, such as Allthemodium Apricorn Bits, which go into the metal lids.[2]
- "Allthemodium Metal Plates" quest: a stamped plate lid such as Allthemodium Stamped Plate Lid. The quest text says stamping is optional, because some plain plates also count.[2]
- "Allthemodium Metal Ball Bases" quest: a ball base such as Allthemodium Ball Base. The quest text says you will need 2.[2]
- "Allthemodium Metal Mechanisms" quest: a special mechanism such as Allthemodium Ball Mechanism.[2]
- "Allthemodium Metal Lids" quest: a ball lid such as Allthemodium Ball Lid.[2]
"Allthemodium Vibranium and Unobtainium Balls" quest comes after the mechanism and lid quests and asks for the finished Allthemodium Ball, Vibranium Ball and Unobtainium Ball. According to the quest text, the Allthemodium ball has a 4x catch chance. The Vibranium ball has 6x, with 50x for Legendaries. The Unobtainium ball has 10x, with 100x for Legendaries.[2]
"Pokeballs!" quest accepts any of the normal or Ancient versions of these balls, including Great Ball of Fire and Ancient Great Ball of Fire. For Ancient balls you need Ancient Ball Mechanisms and Apricorn Wood Lids. The quest text says balls you craft are identical to the ones you find.[2]
The fire ball has its own short path. "Great Ball of Fire Lid" quest asks for the Great Ball of Fire Lid, then "Great Ball of Fire" quest asks for the Great Ball of Fire. The quest text says it needs the lid, a Blank Lid, a Sturdy Mechanism and an Iron Rod. It has a 2x chance on almost every type, but 50x on Fire types and 0x on Water types.[2]
The Pika Star (WIP)
This chapter is marked work in progress. "Unbound Pika Star" quest is about getting your first Pika Star. The quest text says you need 55 Create Mechanical Crafters arranged as a star, and that the star is upside down compared to the Patrick and ATM Stars. You then use an altar ritual with offerings.[8]
a quest in "The Pika Star (WIP)" comes after that and covers the regional Pika Star. The quest text says to send out 6 Pokémon from the same region near the altar, fill Display Cases with any Mega Stones, and offer the four ancient Pokéballs. These include Ancient Allthemodium Ball, Ancient Vibranium Ball and Ancient Unobtainium Ball. You finish by offering the Unbound Pika Star. a quest in "The Pika Star (WIP)" asks for the Shiny Pika Star and unlocks after ten earlier quests.[8]
ATM Team
This chapter is a badge collection. Its quests have no titles or descriptions in the pack files, so they only appear by ID. Two quests have no prerequisite: a quest in "ATM Team" for the ATM Badge Box and a quest in "ATM Team" for the allthemons:the_bathsalts_badge. Four more badge quests unlock after quests that aren't listed in this chapter: a quest in "ATM Team" (Microwave), a quest in "ATM Team" (Lobster), a quest in "ATM Team" (Toblerone) and a quest in "ATM Team" (Skyblock).[3]
The rest form a chain. a quest in "ATM Team" asks for The Artist Badge and needs three earlier quests. After it come, in order, a quest in "ATM Team" (Ralph), a quest in "ATM Team" (Kitty), a quest in "ATM Team" (Unknown), a quest in "ATM Team" (Vortex), a quest in "ATM Team" (Drunk) and a quest in "ATM Team" (Notch). The chain ends with a quest in "ATM Team", which asks for an Ancient DNA Sample.[3]
