What is IntegratedTunnels?
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
IntegratedTunnels is part of the pack, which ships version 1.8.19 of the mod (the file is IntegratedTunnels-1.18.2-1.8.19.jar, built for Minecraft 1.18.2). It was first included in this pack or an earlier version, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]
That is all I can confirm about the mod from the pack files I have. I have no in-pack documentation describing its features, recipes, configs or quests, so I'm not going to guess at them here.[1]
Unverified What the mod does in detail, who it suits best, and where it fits in the pack's progression (including any link to the ATM Star path or related quests) could not be confirmed from the available sources. Check the in-game recipe viewer for the mod's items before relying on any specifics. This site does hold Project Infinity 0.1's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with IntegratedTunnels?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
IntegratedTunnels adds parts that move items, fluids and energy around, and the crafting follows one simple chain. You craft an interface, upgrade it into an importer or exporter, then upgrade that into a world version. Here is the order I'd go in, using the real in-pack recipes.[2]
First: the Item Interface
Start with the Part Interface Item. The item, fluid and energy importers and exporters are all crafted from an interface, so it is the base of everything else. The recipe also uses an Integrated Dynamics item, so you will want that part of the pack set up first.[2]

The Item Interface is a shaped recipe, unlike the upgrades that follow.
Next: the Item Importer and Exporter
Next, turn the interface into an Part Importer Item to pull items in, and an Part Exporter Item to push items out. These are shapeless recipes, so you just combine the pieces in the grid.[2]

Then: the world parts
Once those work, you can move on to the world parts. The Part Importer World Item and Part Exporter World Item are each made from the matching item importer or exporter.[2]

The block versions, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, build on the item importer and exporter as well. Their recipes also need a diamond pickaxe, so have one ready. The advancements describe the block importer as breaking blocks and the block exporter as placing them.[2][3]

Last: the Player Simulator
The Part Player Simulator comes last. Its recipe needs both world item parts and both world block parts, plus an emerald, so craft it once the rest are done.[2]

If you like a checklist, the mod has advancements for crafting the item interface, importer and exporter, the world item and block parts, and the Player Simulator.[3]
How does IntegratedTunnels work?
6 parts
Integrated Tunnels adds parts that move items, fluids and energy through an Integrated Dynamics network. In this pack the parts fall into groups: interfaces, which expose a storage to the network, importers and exporters, which move things in and out, and world versions of those, which act on whatever is in front of them. There is also a Player Simulator that clicks like a player would.[4][5]
The part families
- Interfaces: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy connect a storage to the network. Each one has a Filtering version too, such as Part Interface Filter Item.[4][5]
- Network importers and exporters: Part Importer Item and Part Exporter Item have fluid and energy counterparts as well.[5]
- World importers and exporters: these come in item, fluid, energy and block flavours, for example Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Item. The block ones pick up or place blocks, the item ones pick up or drop items in the world.[4][5]
- Part Player Simulator: it can click with any item or with an empty hand, and can simulate sneaking.[4][5]
The crafting chain is built in layers. Interfaces are made first, importers and exporters are made from the matching interface, and the world versions are made from the matching network importer or exporter. The Player Simulator sits at the top and needs the world block and world item parts.[5]

Power use
Every part has a base energy consumption set in the pack's config. Interfaces are free to run: general.general.interfaceItemBaseConsumption is 0 here, and the fluid and energy interface options, general.general.interfaceFluidBaseConsumption and general.general.interfaceEnergyBaseConsumption, are 0 as well.[6]
The plain network importers and exporters cost a little. For example, general.general.importerItemBaseConsumption is 1 in this pack.[6]
World parts have a separate value depending on whether a variable is attached. For the world block exporter, general.general.exporterWorldBlockBaseConsumptionDisabled (no variable) is 1, and general.general.exporterWorldBlockBaseConsumptionEnabled (with a variable) is 32.[6]
The Player Simulator follows the same pattern but costs more: general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionDisabled is 1 and general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionEnabled is 64. So a world part that is actually driven by a variable costs much more than an idle one.[6]
Speed and sleeping
Importers and exporters go to sleep when nothing changes. After they fail to process for 3 ticks (core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickCount), they sleep for 10 ticks (core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickTimeout) before checking their targets again. If a setup feels slow to react after its target changes, this is the likely reason.[6]
The maximum network fluid transfer rate, core.general.fluidRateLimit, is set to 2,147,483,647 in this pack.[6]
Aspects and filtering
Importers, exporters and filtering interfaces are driven by variables, and each part has aspects that you feed them. The basic write aspects are booleans: for example, an item importer imports items if the boolean is true. Energy and fluid have the same kind of aspect, and so does the filtering interface, which passes items, fluids or energy if the boolean is true.[4]
Several option aspects fine-tune what gets moved:[4]
- Blacklist: handle everything except the items in the given list.[4]
- Exact amount and check stack size: only move things when the slot holds exactly the given amount, or when exactly the given stack size can move in one tick.[4]
- NBT options: require NBT, match a subset or superset of the tag, and check nested tags recursively. Items and fluids each have their own set.[4]
- Round robin: iterate interfaces in circular order and ignore priorities.[4]
- Craft: craft the instance if it is not present in the network.[4]
- Passive IO: whether the target may insert into or extract from the network.[4]
- Filter apply to insert and apply to extract: choose whether a filter applies to insertions into the network, to extractions from it (including views), or both.[4]
The mod's advancements hint at what filtering interfaces can do: expose an inventory's contents only during daytime, or only pass items from a certain mod.[4]
World parts and the Player Simulator
The world parts have positioning aspects. The offsets on each axis take a value between 0 and 1. Yaw and pitch take a rotation between -180 and 180 degrees. Entity speed takes a value between 0 and 25. When several entities are in range, the entity index picks the n-th one, and -1 always picks a random one. There are also aspects that import or export energy, fluids and items to and from the entities the part is facing.[4]
A world block importer can be told to break a block only if it produces drops. The Player Simulator can either simulate a continuous click, or otherwise each click takes one tick. Whether world interactions show particles and play sounds is controlled by core.general.worldInteractionEvents, which is on.[4][6]
Reading the network
Interfaces also feed read aspects back to your logic. You can get the number of valid item or fluid interfaces, the list of all items or fluids in the network, the total count and the upper limit of what the network can hold, and the count of one specific item or fluid.[4]
How do you progress through IntegratedTunnels?
6 parts
IntegratedTunnels parts in this pack form an upgrade chain. You start with the basic interfaces, turn them into importers and exporters, move on to the world parts, and finish with the player simulator. The steps below follow the in-pack recipes.[5]
Unverified The sources here show no quests involving this mod, so its place in the pack's quest book is not covered. The order below comes from the recipes alone.
Step one: interfaces
Everything starts with the basic interfaces: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. Each craft gives you 4 parts, so one craft covers a small setup.[5]
Crafting Shaped
| any wooden chest | ||
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_interface_item
The fluid and energy interfaces are separate recipes that also give 4 parts each.
Step two: importers and exporters
Importers and exporters are shapeless recipes built from the matching interface. The importers are Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid and Part Importer Energy. The exporters are Part Exporter Item, Part Exporter Fluid and Part Exporter Energy.[5]

Side branch: filter interfaces
The filter interfaces are Part Interface Filter Item, Part Interface Filter Fluid and Part Interface Filter Energy. They branch off the basic interfaces, not the importers and exporters. Each one takes 2 of the matching interface.[5]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_interface_filter_item
Step three: world parts
The world parts work on the world itself. The item, fluid and energy versions are each made from the matching importer or exporter. That gives you Part Importer World Item, Part Importer World Fluid and Part Importer World Energy, plus the exporter versions Part Exporter World Item, Part Exporter World Fluid and Part Exporter World Energy.[5]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_importer_world_item
The block versions, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, are built from the item importer and item exporter respectively, not from another world part.[5]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_exporter_world_block
Final step: player simulator
The top of the chain is Part Player Simulator. Its shaped recipe needs the block and item world versions of both the importer and the exporter, so you have to finish those first.[5]

Endgame use in this pack
The pack's own KubeJS script pulls these parts into an Extended Crafting shaped table recipe for the Creative Energy Battery. That recipe uses the player simulator and several world parts, alongside endgame materials such as Infinity Ingot and Infinity Block.[7]
The script registers that recipe in a second version as well. The versions differ only in the fluid tank ingredients, which hold Integrated Dynamics menril resin and liquid chorus. One uses Mekanism Extras absolute fluid tanks, the other uses a KubeJS fluid tank token set to the absolute level.[7]
How does IntegratedTunnels work with other mods?
2 parts
IntegratedTunnels leans heavily on Integrated Dynamics in this pack. The basic tunnel parts are crafted from Integrated Dynamics items, and the pack also adds a few endgame recipes that pull tunnel parts into several other mods.[5]
Integrated Dynamics and the part chain
Everything starts with the interface parts for items, fluids and energy. Each craft gives you 4 of them.[5]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_interface_item
From there you upgrade step by step, and the recipes are listed as the mod's own, so the pack hasn't changed them:[5]
- Combine an interface with an Input Variable Transformer to get the matching importer (item, fluid or energy).[5]
- Combine an interface with an Output Variable Transformer to get the matching exporter instead.[5]
- Combine an importer or exporter with a Logic Director to get its world version (item, fluid or energy).[5]
- For the world block versions, the item importer or exporter, a Logic Director and a Diamond Pickaxe go together.[5]

Pack-added endgame recipes
The pack adds two Extended Crafting table recipes for the Creative Energy Battery. Both need a lot of tunnel parts: the world block exporter and importer, the world energy exporter, the world fluid exporter and importer, the world item importer and the player simulator. They also pull in items from Avaritia, Botanical Extra Machinery, Mekanism Extras, Applied Flux and Integrated Terminals.[5][7]
The two versions differ in how they ask for the fluid. The first uses two Absolute Fluid Tank items, one holding 4,096,000 of menril resin and one holding 4,096,000 of liquid chorus. The second swaps those tanks for fluid tank tokens set to the absolute tier with the same two fluids. Both also need the 256k Portable FE Cell holding 274,877,906,944 of power.[5][7]

The Creative Fluid Tank is also a pack-added Extended Crafting table recipe, and it needs an Part Importer Fluid. The rest of the ingredients come from many other mods, including Actually Additions, Avaritia, Draconic Evolution, Industrial Foregoing, Mob Grinding Utils, NuclearCraft, PneumaticCraft and Woot.[5]
Again there are two versions. One uses real Mekanism tanks: 5 Basic, 6 Ultimate, 4 Supreme and 1 Absolute. The other replaces the tanks with 16 fluid tank tokens.[5]

Which IntegratedTunnels config options matter?
4 parts
Everything for IntegratedTunnels lives in one file, config/integratedtunnels-common.toml. Here is how this pack has it set, grouped by what you're most likely to care about.[6]
Item safety
- core.general.ejectItemsOnBlockDropOverflow is true. If a tunnel breaks a block and not everything fits into the target, the leftovers are ejected into the world instead of being voided.[6]
- core.general.ejectItemsOnInconsistentSimulationMovement is true. If an item handler reports inconsistent movement in simulation mode, items are ejected into the world. The file notes that with this disabled, items can be voided.[6]
Sleeping and transfer limits
- core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickCount is 3. That's how many ticks importers and exporters fail to process before they can start sleeping.[6]
- core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickTimeout is 10. That's how many ticks a sleeping importer or exporter waits before checking its targets again.[6]
- core.general.fluidRateLimit is 2,147,483,647, the maximum network fluid transfer rate.[6]
Energy consumption
The basic item, fluid and energy importers and exporters each have a base energy usage of 1. Examples are general.general.importerItemBaseConsumption and general.general.exporterFluidBaseConsumption. The interfaces cost nothing: the item, fluid and energy interface options, such as general.general.interfaceItemBaseConsumption, are all 0.[6]
The world-interacting importers and exporters (block, energy, fluid and item) each have a cost without a variable, which is 1, and a cost with a variable, which is 32. For example, see general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionDisabled and general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionEnabled. The player simulator follows the same pattern, but its cost is 1 without a variable (general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionDisabled) and 64 with one (general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionEnabled).[6]
Effects and housekeeping
- core.general.worldInteractionEvents is true, so particles and sounds play when tunnels interact with the world.[6]
- core.general.versionChecker is true, so the version checker is enabled.[6]
- core.general.analytics is true, which allows an anonymous startup analytics request to be sent.[6]
