What is IntegratedTunnels?

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

IntegratedTunnels is part of the pack, which ships version 1.8.19 of the mod (the file is IntegratedTunnels-1.18.2-1.8.19.jar, built for Minecraft 1.18.2). It was first included in this pack or an earlier version, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]

That is all I can confirm about the mod from the pack files I have. I have no in-pack documentation describing its features, recipes, configs or quests, so I'm not going to guess at them here.[1]

Unverified What the mod does in detail, who it suits best, and where it fits in the pack's progression (including any link to the ATM Star path or related quests) could not be confirmed from the available sources. Check the in-game recipe viewer for the mod's items before relying on any specifics. This site does hold Project Infinity 0.1's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How do you get started with IntegratedTunnels?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

IntegratedTunnels adds parts that move items, fluids and energy around, and the crafting follows one simple chain. You craft an interface, upgrade it into an importer or exporter, then upgrade that into a world version. Here is the order I'd go in, using the real in-pack recipes.[2]

First: the Item Interface

Start with the Part Interface Item. The item, fluid and energy importers and exporters are all crafted from an interface, so it is the base of everything else. The recipe also uses an Integrated Dynamics item, so you will want that part of the pack set up first.[2]

The Item Interface is a shaped recipe, unlike the upgrades that follow.

Next: the Item Importer and Exporter

Next, turn the interface into an Part Importer Item to pull items in, and an Part Exporter Item to push items out. These are shapeless recipes, so you just combine the pieces in the grid.[2]

Then: the world parts

Once those work, you can move on to the world parts. The Part Importer World Item and Part Exporter World Item are each made from the matching item importer or exporter.[2]

The block versions, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, build on the item importer and exporter as well. Their recipes also need a diamond pickaxe, so have one ready. The advancements describe the block importer as breaking blocks and the block exporter as placing them.[2][3]

Last: the Player Simulator

The Part Player Simulator comes last. Its recipe needs both world item parts and both world block parts, plus an emerald, so craft it once the rest are done.[2]

Tip: Fluids and energy have their own interface parts, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy, and their recipes are shown below. The filtering interfaces, such as Part Interface Filter Item, have their own recipes too.[2]

This is the recipe for the Filtering Item Interface, which starts from the plain Item Interface.

If you like a checklist, the mod has advancements for crafting the item interface, importer and exporter, the world item and block parts, and the Player Simulator.[3]

How does IntegratedTunnels work?

7 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 3.2 guide

IntegratedTunnels adds parts that move items, fluids and energy in and out of your Integrated Dynamics networks. The parts come in interfaces, importers and exporters, plus 'world' versions that act on blocks, entities or dropped items in front of them. There is also a Player Simulator that clicks like a player would. Here is how those pieces fit together.[3][4]

Interfaces: the network's connection to storage

Each resource has its own interface part: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. The network can report the number of valid interfaces for item storage and for fluid storage. A round-robin option can iterate interfaces in circular order instead of using priorities.[3][4]

Filtering interfaces

Each resource also has a filtering interface: Part Interface Filter Item, Part Interface Filter Fluid and Part Interface Filter Energy. They let you control what an inventory exposes to the network. The mod's advancements give examples: only exposing an inventory's contents during daytime, and only passing items from a certain mod.[3][4]

The filter has separate switches for insertions into the network and for extractions from the network, and extractions include views. There is also a switch for passing everything through when the filter is disabled for insertion or extraction.[3]

Importers and exporters

Importers pull a resource into the network and exporters push it out. Items, fluids and energy each get a pair: Part Importer Item and Part Exporter Item, Part Importer Fluid and Part Exporter Fluid, and Part Importer Energy and Part Exporter Energy. They are driven by Integrated Dynamics variables: a boolean decides whether they import or export, and a fluid variable can name the fluid to move.[3][4]

The advancements show typical setups. You can export items into an inventory until 10 items are in it, import all items from a list into an inventory, or use the Enchantable Operator to export all enchantable items.[3]

Controlling what gets moved

A set of options fine-tunes the transfers. Blacklist mode handles everything except the listed items. The empty-is-any option decides whether an empty value matches everything or nothing. The craft option crafts the instance if it is not present in the network.[3]

Amount checks keep transfers exact. For items, the stack-size check only allows exactly the given stack size to move in one tick, not less. The fluid and energy amount checks work the same way for their resources. The exact-amount option only moves ingredients if their slot contains exactly the given amount.[3]

Items and fluids can also be matched by NBT. You can require an NBT tag, so items or fluids without an NBT tag will not be matched. You can require the given tag to be a subset or a superset of the stack's tag, and you can check nested tags and lists recursively.[3]

A passive-IO option controls whether the target may insert into or extract from the network.[3]

World parts

The world versions work on the space in front of them: Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, Part Importer World Item and Part Exporter World Item, Part Importer World Fluid and Part Exporter World Fluid, and Part Importer World Energy and Part Exporter World Energy. Block parts pick up or place blocks, item parts pick up items from the world or place items into it, and fluid parts pick up or place fluids. The aspect list also includes importing and exporting energy, fluids and items with the facing entities.[3][4]

World parts have extra settings. The break-no-drops option only breaks a block if it produces drops. The offset values on the X, Y and Z axes each go from 0 to 1. Yaw and pitch go from -180 to 180 degrees, and entity velocity goes from 0 to 25. The entity index picks the n-th entity, and -1 always picks a random one.[3]

The advancements show some examples. You can break stone with a World Block Importer, place any log with a World Block Exporter using the 'logs' tag list, drop all items with a World Item Exporter, and pick up 5 items at a time with a World Item Importer.[3]

Player Simulator

The Part Player Simulator can click with any item or with an empty hand. You can choose whether it simulates a continuous click, otherwise each click takes one tick, and whether it simulates sneaking by holding shift. One of the advancements has you click with a Diamond Sword using it.[3][4]

Reading the network

The network can also report on what it holds, for both items and fluids. You can read the total amount stored, the upper limit of the total that can be stored, a list of everything in the network, and the total count of a given item or fluid.[3]

Unverified No config files for this mod were available, so transfer rates, per-tick limits and any pack-specific changes to the mod's defaults are not shown in the sources here. The language file used for this page was also truncated, so some options may be missing.

How do you progress through IntegratedTunnels?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

In this pack, IntegratedTunnels parts are built from each other, so your progression is a ladder of crafting recipes: interfaces first, then importers and exporters, then the world versions, and finally the player simulator.[2]

Unverified The sources available for this guide show no quest involving IntegratedTunnels, so this section follows the in-pack crafting recipes only. Check the pack's quest book if you want to know whether the mod is mentioned there.

Interfaces

Everything starts with the interfaces: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. There is a version for each resource type, and every later part builds on one of them. These interfaces are shaped recipes.[2]

Filter interfaces

If you want a filtering version, each interface has a counterpart: Part Interface Filter Item, Part Interface Filter Fluid and Part Interface Filter Energy. The recipe below shows the energy one.[2]

Importers and exporters

Next come the parts that actually move things around. Importers and exporters exist for items, fluids and energy: Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid, Part Importer Energy, Part Exporter Item, Part Exporter Fluid and Part Exporter Energy. They are all shapeless recipes built from the matching interface, so make the interface first.[2]

World parts

The world importers and exporters are the next step up from the regular ones: Part Importer World Item, Part Importer World Fluid, Part Importer World Energy, Part Exporter World Item, Part Exporter World Fluid and Part Exporter World Energy. The recipe below shows the world item exporter.[2]

The block versions, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, are built from the regular item importer and exporter, not from the fluid or energy ones.[2]

Player simulator

The top of the tree is the Part Player Simulator. It needs the world block and world item versions of both the importer and the exporter, so finish the previous step first. It is a shaped recipe.[2]

Tip: Start with the item interface and work up. The item importer and exporter lead into the world block parts, and those lead into the player simulator, so the item branch gets you to the end of the tree. Fluid and energy only branch off into their own importers, exporters and world parts.[2]

Which IntegratedTunnels config options matter?

4 parts

Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide

Everything for IntegratedTunnels lives in one file, config/integratedtunnels-common.toml. Here is how this pack has it set, grouped by what you're most likely to care about.[5]

Item safety

Sleeping and transfer limits

Energy consumption

The basic item, fluid and energy importers and exporters each have a base energy usage of 1. Examples are general.general.importerItemBaseConsumption and general.general.exporterFluidBaseConsumption. The interfaces cost nothing: the item, fluid and energy interface options, such as general.general.interfaceItemBaseConsumption, are all 0.[5]

The world-interacting importers and exporters (block, energy, fluid and item) each have a cost without a variable, which is 1, and a cost with a variable, which is 32. For example, see general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionDisabled and general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionEnabled. The player simulator follows the same pattern, but its cost is 1 without a variable (general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionDisabled) and 64 with one (general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionEnabled).[5]

Tip: If you plan to feed world tunnels or a player simulator a variable, budget for the higher energy figures of 32 and 64 rather than the 1 you see without one.[5]
