What is Draconic Evolution?
1 part
Draconic Evolution is an end game tech mod. Its project page lists high-tier tools and armor, high-tier RF energy storage, teleportation, mob farming, player detection, and time and weather control. The author flags that description as ancient, so treat it as a rough outline of what the mod does, not a full feature list.[1]
This pack ships Draconic Evolution 3.1.2.621 for 1.20.1. Everything below is about how the pack's quest book uses the mod.[2]
Where it sits in the quest book
The mod has no chapter of its own. Its items turn up as tasks in three chapters.[3][4][5]
- EndGame (group "Storyline", chapter 7 of 44): a quest in "EndGame" asks for the Fusion Crafting Core and has no prerequisite listed. a quest in "EndGame" asks for 2 of the Chaotic Flight Module and comes after an untitled checkmark quest.[5]
- Also in EndGame, a quest in "EndGame" asks for the Creative Power Source and comes after "The Beginning of the End" quest. Several other creative-item quests share that same prerequisite.[5]
- Masterful Machinery (group "Production", chapter 25 of 44): a quest in "Masterful Machinery" and a quest in "Masterful Machinery" each pair a Masterful Machinery controller with a Draconic Evolution item, the Chaos Shard and the Awakened Draconium Block. Both come after Priority Setter, and the Awakened Draconium Block quest also comes after The Awakening.[3]
- Legendary Challenges (group "Challenges"): "Shardfall" quest asks for 1,000 chaos shards, and "Chaotic Core Cascade" quest asks for 512 chaotic cores (Chaotic Core).[4]
How do you get started with Draconic Evolution?
4 parts
Draconic Evolution is billed as end game tech: high-tier tools and armor, big energy storage, teleportation, mob farming and time and weather control. In this pack the first things to make are the Draconium Dust, the Fusion Crafting Core and the Wyvern Core. Here is the order I'd go in.[1]
Step one: get some Draconium Dust
The pack adds a sieve recipe that turns Crushed End Stone into Draconium Dust, so a sieve is one way in.[6]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: exdeorum:kjs/draconicevolution_draconium_dust
The pack also adds ways to turn a Draconium Ingot into dust: a Thermal pulverizer, Mekanism crushing and a NuclearCraft manufactory all have a recipe for it. A Void Miner recipe added by the pack can also produce Draconium Ore.[6]
Step two: build the Fusion Crafting Core
The Fusion Crafting Core is a regular crafting table recipe, and it is the machine behind the fusion crafting recipes in this mod. Make it early.[6]

The quest book has a a quest in "EndGame" quest in the EndGame chapter (Storyline group, chapter 7 of 44). It has no prerequisite quest listed, and the Infinity 8 quest in that chapter comes after it.[5]
Step three: craft a Wyvern Core
The Wyvern Core shows up in several later recipes, such as the Celestial Manipulator. The quest book asks for 2 of them in the ProjectE Philo Stone chapter (Production group), in the quest a quest in "ProjectE Philo Stone". Single-core quests follow it in the same chapter.[6][7]

Hold on to your Wyvern Cores. The pack-added recipe for the Draconic Core (Draconic Core) uses them too, and the Draconic Core is in the pack-added recipe for the Chaotic Core.[6]
Handy early machines
Two machines are worth making early. The Celestial Manipulator lets you set the weather and skip or set the time of day from its screen. The Disenchanter shows an XP cost in levels for removing an enchantment.[6][8]

How does Draconic Evolution work?
5 parts
Draconic Evolution adds high-tier energy storage, teleportation, mob farming, and time and weather control. On this page you will find fusion crafting, the Energy Core multiblock, the energy crystal network and a handful of utility machines.[1]
Fusion crafting
Fusion crafting is how most of the mod's high-end gear is made. The mod's language file lists a Fusion Crafting Core and fusion crafting injectors named for four tiers: Draconium, Wyvern, Draconic and Chaotic. The Chaotic one is Chaotic Fusion Crafting Injector. In the pack's data files, each fusion recipe has a catalyst, a list of ingredients, a tier label and a total energy cost.[8][9][10]
Not every fusion recipe is a tool. Awakened Draconium Blocks are made this way too, and the block below shows the exact in-pack recipe.[6]

In this pack the tool upgrade chain is defined by the pack's own data files. Each step uses the previous tier's tool as the catalyst: a diamond axe for the Wyvern axe, a Wyvern tool for the Draconic one, and a Draconic tool for the Chaotic one. The total energy for each step is set in those files:[9][10][11]
- Wyvern tools such as the axe: tier WYVERN, total energy 8,000,000.[10]
- Draconic tools such as the axe, bow, pickaxe and sword: tier DRACONIC, total energy 32,000,000. The Draconic capacitor uses the same figure.[11][12][13][14][15]
- Chaotic tools such as the axe, bow, pickaxe and sword: tier CHAOTIC, total energy 128,000,000. The Chaotic capacitor uses the same figure.[9][16][17][18][19]
- Staffs are bigger jobs. The Draconic staff is tier DRACONIC at 256,000,000, and the Chaotic staff is tier CHAOTIC at 1,024,000,000.[20][21]
Energy Core multiblock
The mod has an Energy Core block, and the screen text in this pack's version describes its interface. The title reads "Tier %s Energy Core", with Tier Up and Tier Down buttons, plus Assemble Core, Activate and Deactivate. There is also a Toggle Build Guide button.[8]
The screen text includes messages for a wrong structure: "Core structure invalid." for the core itself and "Stabilizer configuration invalid." for the Energy Core Stabilizer setup. It also has a "(Advanced stabilizers required)" message, so check that if assembly won't go through.[8]
The screen text also describes an Energy Target field. It is for display purposes only and accepts plain numbers or scientific notation, so 9.223E18 is read as 9,223,000,000,000,000,000.[8]
Separately, the mod has crafting components named after its tiers: Wyvern Energy Controller, Draconic Energy Controller and Chaotic Energy Controller. In the pack's fusion data files, the Wyvern one is used in the Wyvern axe, the Draconic one in Draconic tools and the Chaotic one in Chaotic tools.[9][10][11]

Energy crystal network
The mod's language file lists energy crystals in Relay, I/O and Wireless types, each in Basic, Wyvern and Draconic tiers. Its network messages show how linking is presented: "Devices linked." when a link succeeds, plus Clear Links and Clear Receivers options. There is also a Charge readout for the HUD.[8]
The basic wireless crystal is built from a relay crystal and a Particle Generator, among other parts.[6]

Utility machines
The Celestial Manipulator controls time and weather. Its screen lets you skip to Sunrise, Noon, Sunset, Midnight, Moonrise or Moonset, skip 24 hours, or stop skipping. For weather you can pick Clear Skies, Create Rain or Create Storm.[8]

The Draconium Chest has a built-in auto-smelt feature with four modes. Off does nothing. All feeds every smeltable item into the furnace. Filtered only feeds items that are already being smelted. Filtered (Sticky) works like Filtered but keeps one item so the filter persists. You can also change the chest's colour from its screen.[8]
The Disenchanter screen shows the XP cost in levels and the level of the enchant. The Dislocator, which is tied to the Dislocator Pedestal, binds your current coordinates, facing direction and dimension when you sneak and right click. It uses Ender Pearls as teleport fuel, and the fuel readout is the total number of teleports remaining. Right click can be switched between Teleport and Blink modes.[8]

Getting Awakened Draconium in this pack
Awakened Draconium Ingots show up in nearly every high-tier recipe here. You can smelt Awakened Draconium Dust into an ingot normally, and the pack adds an Ender IO alloy smelting route for the same job. Awakened Draconium Blocks also decompress into 9 ingots.[6]

How do you progress through Draconic Evolution?
6 parts
Draconic Evolution in this pack climbs four tiers: Draconium, Wyvern, Draconic and Chaotic. Each tier's core builds on the one below it, so you can follow the whole path just by following the cores. The pack changes some of the recipes along the way, and I'll flag those as we go.[6]
The core ladder
First up is the Wyvern Core, which builds on the Draconium Core. This recipe is the mod's own, so nothing special happens here.[6]

Next is the Draconic Core, shown in-game as the Draconic Core. The mod's own fusion crafting recipe is still there, but the pack adds a second route through an Extended Crafting combination recipe, shown below.[6]
Combination (extendedcrafting)
Recipe id: combination_draconicevolution:awakened_core
This combination recipe is added by the pack.
The top step is the Chaotic Core. The pack also makes this one through an Extended Crafting combination recipe, and it builds on the Draconic Core.[6]

This combination recipe is added by the pack.
Energy controllers
The energy controllers follow the same ladder: the Wyvern Energy Controller leads to the Draconic Energy Controller, which leads to the Chaotic Energy Controller. You'll want the Chaotic Energy Controller later, because every Chaotic tool recipe in the pack uses it. Both recipes are shown below.[6][9][16][17][18][19][21][22][23][24]

Fusion crafting and Chaotic gear
Several of the recipes on this path are fusion crafting recipes, such as the Draconic Core, the Awakened Draconium Block and the Chaotic injector. The Fusion Crafting Core has its own quest, a quest in "EndGame", in the EndGame chapter, and the Infinity 8 quest comes right after it.[5][6]

Recipe id: draconicevolution:machines/chaotic_crafting_injector
The pack rewrites the Chaotic tool recipes. The axe, bow, capacitor, chestpiece, hoe, pickaxe, shovel and sword are all fusion crafts at the CHAOTIC tier with a total energy of 128,000,000. Each one uses the matching Draconic version as its catalyst.[9][16][17][18][19][21][22][23][24]
The Chaotic staff is the most expensive at a total energy of 1,024,000,000. It uses a Chaotic Core as its catalyst and is built from the Chaotic pickaxe, sword and shovel.[21]
One quirk: the fusion recipes produce the pack's own tool items, and a pack recipe then turns the kubejs Chaotic axe into the Chaotic Axe.[6][9]
Flight modules
The Draconic Flight Module is a pack recipe, not the mod default. It starts from the Wyvern Flight Module and asks for the Infinity 1, 2, 3 and 4 items, the same ones the EndGame Infinity quests ask for. That ties your flight upgrade to the Infinity chain.[5][6]

Recipe id: minecraft:kjs/draconicevolution_item_draconic_flight
The Chaotic Flight Module uses the mod's own recipe and builds on the Draconic Flight Module. The EndGame quest a quest in "EndGame" asks for 2 of them.[5][6]

The end of the line: Creative Power Source
The final Draconic Evolution item is the Creative Power Source. The pack makes it in an Extended Crafting shaped table, and the recipe is huge. It uses the Infinity Ingot, the Infinity 12 item, a Chaotic Core, Chaos Shards, reactor parts and a long list of Chaotic gear. The quest a quest in "EndGame" comes after "The Beginning of the End" quest.[5][6]

Where the quest book touches the mod
The quest book places Draconic Evolution items inside other chapters. Here is where they appear:[3][4][7][25][26]
- AllTheModium chapter: a quest in "AllTheModium" asks for the Draconic Core (the Draconic Core), and it is one of the quests listed before the Unobtainium Ingot quest.[6][25]
- ProjectE Philo Stone chapter: a quest in "ProjectE Philo Stone" asks for 2 Wyvern Core, and other quests in that chapter ask for 1 each.[6][7]
- Masterful Machinery chapter: a quest in "Masterful Machinery" asks for a Chaos Shard, and a quest in "Masterful Machinery" asks for an Awakened Draconium Block. Both come after the Priority Setter quest, and the block quest also needs The Awakening.[3][6]
- Legendary Challenges chapter: "Shardfall" quest asks for 1,000 Chaos Shard, and "Chaotic Core Cascade" quest asks for 512 Chaotic Core.[4][6]
- Extended Crafting chapter: a quest in "Extended Crafting" and a quest in "Extended Crafting" ask for the Draconium Ingot and the Awakened Draconium Ingot. This chapter has 248 quests and the text of 124 of them is not covered here, so check the quest book itself for the rest.[6][26]
How does Draconic Evolution work with other mods?
4 parts
Draconic Evolution is wired into a lot of the pack. Its items turn up as ingredients in recipes from other mods, and the pack also adds its own KubeJS items on top of the Draconic Evolution tool lines. This page walks through the main connections.[6]
Tools made through KubeJS items
Most of the pack's Draconic Evolution tools are built around kubejs items. The Wyvern Axe is a Fusion Crafting recipe at the WYVERN tier. It takes a vanilla Diamond Axe as its catalyst and needs 8,000,000 total energy.[6][10]

- 2× any draconium ingot
Recipe id: draconicevolution:tools/wyvern_axe
The chaotic tools step up from there. The pack changed the Chaotic Axe recipe so that it uses the draconic axe from kubejs as the catalyst, runs at the CHAOTIC tier and needs 128,000,000 total energy. The result is Chaotic Axe.[6][9]
Fusion Crafting (draconicevolution)

The chaotic bow, capacitor, chestpiece, hoe and pickaxe all follow the same pattern. Each is a CHAOTIC tier fusion recipe that uses the matching draconic kubejs item as its catalyst and needs 128,000,000 total energy.[16][17][18][22][23]
The pack also changed the chaotic staff recipe. It is a fusion craft that uses three other chaotic kubejs tools and small chaos fragments.[6]

There is also a shapeless recipe that turns the Chaotic Axe into Chaotic Axe. The recipe dump counts 28 shapeless recipes that turn Draconic Evolution items into kubejs items, and 30 that go the other way.[6]
Creative Power Source
The Creative Power Source is a pack-added Extended Crafting recipe. It pulls in the Infinity Ingot from Avaritia, the Draconic Additions inert potato armor and a whole set of chaotic kubejs tools. Avaritia also has a changed recipe for Creative Capacitor that needs Draconic Evolution reactor parts and a Chaotic Core.[6]

Other mods using Draconic Evolution items
- Ex Deorum: a pack-added sieve recipe turns Crushed End Stone into Draconium Dust.[6]
- Mystical Agriculture: the links are Awakened Draconium Essence for the Awakened Draconium Nugget, the Awakened Draconium Crux and the pack's Draconium Seeds recipe. All three recipes are shown below this list.[6]
- Packaged Draconic: the Marked Chaotic Fusion Crafting Injector is a shapeless recipe from a Chaotic Fusion Crafting Injector plus draconium dust, and it can be uncrafted back. The Fusion Package Crafter is a fusion recipe that uses a Draconic Core and a Fusion Crafting Core.[6]
- All the Modium: the pack changed the Unobtainium Ingot recipe into a Draconic Evolution fusion craft. It takes a Draconic Core together with ingredients from many other mods.[6]
- Avaritia: the changed Crystal Matrix Ingot recipe needs a Draconium Core. The changed Neutronium Collector recipe needs a Draconic Core and a Chaotic Core.[6]
- Botania: the pack's The Everlasting Guilty Pool recipe uses 2 Chaotic Cores.[6]
- Solar Flux: Sp De.Chaotic is a pack-added combination recipe. It uses 4 Draconic Cores and a Chaotic Core, and it makes 4 panels.[6]
- Extended Crafting: the changed Legendary Crafting Table recipe needs an Awakened Draconium Ingot.[6]
- ProjectE: the pack-added recipe for the Energy Condenser uses Draconium Infused Obsidian.[6]
- Applied Energistics 2: the pack-added Creative ME Item Cell recipe needs the Creative Power Source and the Chaotic Flight Module. The LONG-tier creative storage cell needs a Chaotic Core.[6]
- Draconic Additions: hermal is made from a Small Chaos Fragment and a poisonous potato. The pack-added Chaos Heart recipe needs a Draconic Core, a Chaotic Core, a Draconium Core, a Wyvern Core and a Tiny Chaos Fragment.[6]

Chaos Fragments also appear in the pack's own recipes. Chaotic Essence is made from one Large Chaos Fragment and eight Small Chaos Fragments, and Infinity 8 is a fusion craft that includes a Small Chaos Fragment.[6]
In the quest book
In the Masterful Machinery chapter (group Production), the quest a quest in "Masterful Machinery" asks you to hand in the Infinity Crucible controller and a Chaos Shard. The quest a quest in "Masterful Machinery" asks for the Advanced Awakening Altar controller and an Awakened Draconium Block, and it comes after Priority Setter and The Awakening. On the recipe side, the pack adds a shapeless recipe that turns a compressed awakened draconium block into 9 Awakened Draconium Blocks, and the Creative Power Source recipe uses 2 Chaos Shards.[3][6]
The Legendary Challenges chapter (group Challenges) has two big Draconic Evolution targets. "Shardfall" quest asks you to hand in 1,000 Chaos Shards, and "Chaotic Core Cascade" quest asks for 512 Chaotic Cores. Both items are also used in pack recipes, for example the Creative Power Source recipe takes 2 Chaos Shards and a Chaotic Core.[4][6]
Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use Draconic Evolution?
6 parts
Draconic Evolution shows up in six quest chapters in this pack. It is never the main topic of a chapter. You are asked for its items as stepping stones inside other lines. Here they are, in the order they sit in the quest book.[3][4][5][7][25][26]
EndGame (Storyline, chapter 7 of 44)
- a quest in "EndGame" asks you to hand in the Fusion Crafting Core. No prerequisite is listed for it. a quest in "EndGame" (Infinity 8) lists it as one of its two prerequisites.[5]
- a quest in "EndGame" asks for 2 of the Chaotic Flight Module. It comes after an untitled checkmark quest in the same chapter.[5]
- a quest in "EndGame" asks for the Creative Power Source and comes after "The Beginning of the End" quest. a quest in "EndGame" lists it among its prerequisites.[5]
- The chapter's last quest, a quest in "EndGame", lists the Chaotic Flight Module quest among its many prerequisites.[5]
Masterful Machinery (Production, chapter 25 of 44)
Both Draconic Evolution quests here come after a quest in "Masterful Machinery". Each one asks for a Masterful Machinery controller plus a Draconic Evolution item.[3]
- a quest in "Masterful Machinery" asks for a controller plus the Chaos Shard.[3]
- a quest in "Masterful Machinery" asks for a controller plus the Awakened Draconium Block. It also comes after a quest called The Awakening.[3]
ProjectE Philo Stone (Production, chapter 33 of 44)
a quest in "ProjectE Philo Stone" asks for 2 Wyvern Core and lists no prerequisite. a quest in "ProjectE Philo Stone" and a quest in "ProjectE Philo Stone" each ask for one more and come after a Wyvern Core quest. a quest in "ProjectE Philo Stone" lists Wyvern Core quests among its prerequisites.[7]
AllTheModium (Production, chapter 36 of 44)
a quest in "AllTheModium" asks for the Draconic Core. a quest in "AllTheModium" lists it as a prerequisite, alongside the Vibranium Ingot quest and several essence and ingot quests.[25]
Extended Crafting (Production, chapter 37 of 44)
This chapter has quests for Draconium Ingot (a quest in "Extended Crafting") and Awakened Draconium Ingot (a quest in "Extended Crafting"). Both ask for a single item and list no prerequisite. Both are among the prerequisites of "The one and only" quest, which asks for the Ultimate Ingot and comes after a very long list of ingot quests. Five of this chapter's 248 quests are not covered here, so check the quest book for those.[26]
Legendary Challenges (Challenges group)
- "Shardfall" quest asks you to hand in 1,000 Chaos Shard.[4]
- "Chaotic Core Cascade" quest asks for 512 Chaotic Core.[4]
Neither challenge shows a prerequisite, so you can pick them up whenever you have the materials.[4]
What changed in Draconic Evolution between versions?
There isn't much version history to report for Draconic Evolution in this pack, and there are no pack changelog entries for it. What the sources do confirm is short and sweet.[2][27]
- Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 ships Draconic Evolution 3.1.2.621.[2]
- The mod was first included in Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.45.4 or earlier.[2]
- Draconic Evolution 3.1.2.621 fixed a possible energy dupe with the Transfuser.[27]
So if you're on this version of the pack, that energy dupe fix is already included and you don't need to do anything.[2][27]
