What is IntegratedDynamics?
1 part
This pack ships IntegratedDynamics at version 1.31.2, built for Minecraft 1.20.1. It was already in the pack by version 0.0.45.4 or earlier, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]
Where the quest book puts it
The quest book only asks you for IntegratedDynamics once, right at the end. The request sits in the EndGame chapter of the Storyline group.[2]
The quest is a quest in "EndGame", and it asks you to hand in the Creative Energy Battery. The book gives it no title of its own, so it is named after the item. It comes after "The Beginning of the End" quest, which asks for an Infinity Ingot.[2]
The next quest after it is a quest in "EndGame", the last one listed in the chapter. It asks for the Creative ME Item Cell, and it requires the Creative Energy Battery quest along with a long run of other creative items from different mods.[2]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what IntegratedDynamics does in general, and there's no in-jar guide to draw on, so its wider mechanics aren't covered in this section.
How do you get started with IntegratedDynamics?
6 parts
Integrated Dynamics is about building logic networks out of cables, and in this pack almost everything you craft early on runs through Crystallized Menril Chunk. So the plan is simple: get Menril, turn it into chunks, then build cables and the Logic Programmer.[3][4]
Check your info book
In this pack's config, item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.obtainOnSpawn is true, so the mod's info book is handed to you when you first spawn. item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.bookRewards is also true, so the book can give item rewards for finishing its tutorials.[5]
Get some Menril
Menril trees are most easily found in Meneglin biomes, and chopping one down is one of the mod's early advancements. The pack also adds a way to get a Menril Sapling from a sieve, so you don't have to go looking for one.[3][4]

Turn logs into crystal
Squeezing a Menril Log gives you Menril Resin. The basic squeezer recipe only returns the resin, but the mechanical squeezer recipe also gives you a Crystallized Menril Chunk, which is the one you want.[3]
Mechanical Squeezer (integrateddynamics)
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:mechanical_squeezer/base/menril_resin_logs
You can also dry things in a Drying Basin, and the mod has an advancement for crafting one. A basin turns 1,000 of Liquid Chorus into a Block of Crystallized Chorus, which is a second route to crystal.[3][4]

Cables and the Logic Programmer
With chunks in hand, craft Logic Cable. One craft makes 3 of them, and the mod has an advancement for building a network of at least 10 connected cables.[3][4]

Next comes the Logic Programmer. Opening its GUI is one of the mod's advancements.[3][4]
Power
Start with an Energy Battery, then add a Generator, whose recipe uses the battery. In this pack's config the battery's default capacity is 1,000,000 (machine.energy_battery.capacity), and the generator produces 20 RF/t (machine.coal_generator.energyPerTick).[3][5]

Where the quest book comes in
The quest book has a quest in "EndGame", the Creative Energy Battery. It sits in the EndGame chapter of the Storyline group, right after The Beginning of the End, so it is a far-off goal rather than a first step. The pack adds its own recipe for it, made at an Extended Crafting table.[2][3]

How does IntegratedDynamics work?
7 parts
Integrated Dynamics is built around logic networks. You link blocks together with Logic Cable, attach parts that read from or write to things, and keep the values you read on variable cards. One of the mod's advancements asks you to build a logic network with at least 10 connected Logic Cables, which is a good first goal.[4]

Readers, values and variables
Readers expose what the target block or world is doing as aspects, and a Variable Card holds the value so other parts can use it. The aspect descriptions show how much you can read:[4]
- Energy (FE): whether the target can provide or receive FE, whether its buffer is empty or full, and its fill ratio.[4]
- Fluids and inventories: whether the target has a tank or inventory, whether it is empty, non-empty or full, and a fill ratio for each.[4]
- Machines: whether the target is a worker, has work to process, could start working, or is working right now.[4]
- Redstone: levels, a maximum or none check, and a clock with configurable pulse length and interval.[4]
- World: day or night, weather, the ticks per second of a world, and what is in the target space (item, mob, animal, player or other entity).[4]
The advancements also name the other building blocks you will meet: Block, Inventory, Machine, Redstone and Entity Readers, the Redstone Writer, the Display Panel, the Materializer, the Proxy, the Logic Programmer, and the Variable Input and Output Transformers.[4]
The Delayer is one of the parts you can add to a network. In this pack the config caps the value history it can keep at 1,024 through machine.delay.maxHistoryCapacity.[5]

Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/delay
Reach and update speed
A part can target a block up to 32 blocks away (machine.general.maxPartOffset), and a directional connector can look up to 512 blocks (machine.general.maxDirectionalConnectorOffset). New parts update every tick by default (machine.general.defaultPartUpdateFreq), and the pack sets the minimum update interval for all parts to 1 tick (general.general.partsMinimumUpdateInterval).[5]
Power
The Energy Battery stores energy for your network. In this pack its default capacity is 1,000,000 (machine.energy_battery.capacity). Transfer per tick is limited to a fraction of the capacity, set to 1/2000 in machine.energy_battery.energyRateCapacityFraction, with a minimum rate of 2000 per tick in machine.energy_battery.minEnergyRate. The network-wide transfer limit is 2,147,483,647 (core.general.energyRateLimit).[5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/energy_battery
The Generator produces 20 RF/t in this pack (machine.coal_generator.energyPerTick).[5]
The pack also adds recipes for the Creative Energy Battery (Creative Energy Battery) in an Extended Crafting shaped table. There are two versions of the recipe. One uses Mekanism Extras absolute fluid tanks filled with Menril Resin and Liquid Chorus, and the other uses the pack's fluid tank tokens for the same two fluids. It is an endgame item.[6]
Energy use of parts
Each part has a base energy consumption in the config. Readers and writers use 1 each, the Delayer and Proxy use 2, and the Variable Store uses 4. The mono-directional connector uses 32 and the omni-directional connector uses 128. A Display Panel uses 2 with a variable and 1 without, and the light panels use 0.[5]
The pack sets general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier, the energy usage multiplier for networks, to 0.[5]
Unverified How the multiplier of 0 changes the base consumption values above in practice is not confirmed by the sources.
Squeezing and drying
The mechanical squeezer uses energy: its capacity is 100,000 (machine.mechanical_squeezer.capacity), its consumption rate is 80 (machine.mechanical_squeezer.consumptionRate), and it can auto-eject 500 mB per tick (machine.mechanical_squeezer.autoEjectFluidRate). The mechanical drying basin has the same energy capacity of 100,000 and consumption rate of 80.[5]
Squeezing a Proto Chorus gives Liquid Chorus. The mechanical squeezer also gives a Crystallized Chorus Chunk.[3]

Mechanical squeezer
The pack adds its own squeezer recipes for these ores: Arcmetal Ore, Solarmetal Ore, Plasteel Ore and Voidmetal Ore. Each gives 2 of the matching raw item and has a duration value of 40. Both the normal and the mechanical squeezer get these recipes.[7]
For the resin chain, one advancement says to process Menril Log into Menril Resin and dry it to obtain Crystallized Menril Resin. Menril Wood is filled with resin at world generation with a 1 in 10 chance, set by worldgeneration.menril_log_filled.filledMenrilLogChance.[4][5]
Moving fluids around
The pack has a Tank Encapsulator process that turns a Mekanism Extras absolute fluid tank plus a full tank's worth of Menril Resin or Liquid Chorus into a fluid tank token. The absolute tank's capacity in that script is 4,096,000, and each process takes 20 ticks. The tokens are used in the second Creative Energy Battery recipe.[6][8]
Stability and performance settings
- core.general.safeMode is off. If a network crashes the game, turning it on stops networks from ticking so you can fix the problem.[5]
- core.general.recreateCorruptedNetworks is on, so corrupted networks are restored on the first tick.[5]
- core.general.operatorRecursionLimit is 256. It stops deep operator recursion, such as the omega operator, from crashing the game.[5]
- The ingredient network observer is multithreaded with 4 threads. It observes between every 5 and every 40 ticks (core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverFrequencyMin and core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverFrequencyMax).[5]
- machine.cable.dynamicShape is on. Turn it off if you get FPS problems around cables.[5]
How do you progress through IntegratedDynamics?
4 parts
The pack's quest book doesn't walk you through this mod tier by tier. The only quest that asks for an IntegratedDynamics item sits in the EndGame chapter. So the early path below follows the in-pack recipes, and the final stage follows the quest book.[2][3]
Stage 1: Getting Menril and the first machines
Everything starts with Menril. This pack gives you a few routes to Menril Sapling. You can sieve dirt with a String Mesh in an Ex Deorum sieve, where the pack's script gives a base chance of 0.10 per dirt. You can also grow it in a Botany Pot, since the pack adds a Menril crop. Or you can craft it from Mystical Agriculture Menril Essence, which also makes Menril Log and Menril Berries.[3][9]

Stage 2: Crystallized Menril
The Squeezer turns a Menril Log or Menril Planks into Menril Resin. The mechanical squeezer does the same and also gives a Crystallized Menril Chunk as a bonus output.[3]
The Drying Basin turns 1,000 Menril Resin into a Block of Crystallized Menril. The mechanical drying basin uses the same amount. You can then split the block into 9 chunks.[3]

Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/crystalized_menril_chunk
From here the rest of the mod opens up. Crystallized Menril is the base material for most of the core logic and power items.[3]
- Logic Cable: one craft gives 3 cables.[3]
- Logic Programmer: crafted from a Crystallized Menril block and a crafting table. It can also be made from the Portable Logic Programmer.[3]
- Energy Battery: it is also the starting point for the Generator.[3]
- Delayer, Labeller, Part Enhancement: Offset and Part Block Reader are all crafted in the pack with Crystallized Menril Chunks or the variable transformers.[3]

The chorus branch
Chorus works the same way. The Squeezer turns popped chorus fruit or Proto Chorus into Liquid Chorus. The mechanical squeezer adds a Crystallized Chorus Chunk as a bonus output. A Drying Basin turns 1,000 Liquid Chorus into a Block of Crystallized Chorus.[3]
Endgame: the Creative Energy Battery
The quest book places this mod's one quest in the EndGame chapter (Storyline group, chapter 7 of 44). a quest in "EndGame" asks you for the Creative Energy Battery. It comes after "The Beginning of the End" quest, which follows "One Giant Leap" quest and "One Small Step" quest. It is also one of the quests you must finish before a quest in "EndGame".[2]
The pack adds its own recipe for the Creative Energy Battery, and it is crafted in an Extended Crafting table. It needs a quest in "EndGame", the last item of the Infinity 1 to 12 chain, so expect to be deep into the pack's endgame first.[2][3][6]
There are two recipe variants. The first uses Absolute Fluid Tanks pre-filled with 4,096,000 of Menril Resin and of Liquid Chorus. The second swaps those tanks for fluid tank tokens set to the same two fluids.[3][6]

How does IntegratedDynamics work with other mods?
4 parts
Integrated Dynamics connects to the rest of the pack mainly through its add-on mods, which are built from its items. A few other mods also use its items as ingredients, and the pack adds some endgame recipes around the Creative Energy Battery.[2][3]
Add-on parts built from Integrated Dynamics items
The Integrated Tunnels parts all grow from one chain. Each interface part (item, fluid and energy) starts from a Crystallized Menril Chunk. Importers are then made from an interface part and an Input Variable Transformer, and exporters from an interface part and an Output Variable Transformer. The world versions of each part add a Logic Director on top.[3]
The energy interface is the one that reaches back into the base mod, because it needs an Energy Battery. The block importer and exporter also need a Diamond Pickaxe.[3]
Integrated Mekanism follows the same pattern for chemicals. The chemical interface uses a Basic Chemical Tank, and so does the chemical reader. The chemical importers and exporters are built from the interface with the same variable transformers and Logic Director.[3]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: integratedmekanism:crafting/part_interface_chemical
The chemical interface is where Mekanism's chemical tank enters the chain.
Integrated Terminals and Integrated Scripting use drying basin recipes. Both the drying basin and the mechanical drying basin make Menril Glass from 1,000 of Menril Resin plus colorless glass. Chorus Glass works the same way with 1,000 of Liquid Chorus. Mendesite is made from 1,000 of Menril Resin and Andesite.[3]
The Part Terminal Storage and the Part Terminal Crafting Job both use Menril Glass, and the Part Terminal Scripting uses Mendesite. Scripting also takes a Variable Card for the Scripting Disk, and a Variable Store plus a Jukebox for the Scripting Drive. For Integrated Crafting, the Part Crafting Writer uses a Crafting Table.[3]
Mystical Agriculture and Ex Deorum
Menril can be grown from essence. Menril Essence turns into Menril Berries and Menril Log. A Menril Sapling needs Nature Essence as well.[3]

The pack also adds its own recipe for Menril Seeds, which uses a Block of Crystallized Menril from this mod.[3]

Recipe id: minecraft:kjs/mysticalagriculture_menril_seeds
If you play with Ex Deorum, a Menril Sapling is one of the things the pack lets you sieve out of dirt with a string mesh, with a base chance of 0.10.[9]
Squeezer recipes for pack ores
The pack adds Squeezer and Mechanical Squeezer recipes for its own ores: Arcmetal Ore, Solarmetal Ore, Plasteel Ore and Voidmetal Ore. Each one gives 2 of the matching raw item and has a duration of 40.[7]
The Creative Energy Battery
The Creative Energy Battery is a pack-added endgame recipe, crafted in the Extended Crafting table. It pulls in items from many mods, including Avaritia, Applied Flux, Botania Extra Machinery, Mekanism Extras and Integrated Tunnels and Terminals parts. The pack has alternate versions of the recipe: one asks for 2 Absolute Fluid Tank and the other for 2 Fluid Tank Token.[3]

In the quest book it sits in the EndGame chapter (group Storyline, chapter 7 of 44), as a quest in "EndGame". It comes after "The Beginning of the End" quest, alongside many other creative items such as the Creative Power Source and Creative Energy Cube.[2]
The battery is also one of the many creative items the pack's recipe for the Creative ME Item Cell asks for.[3]

Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use IntegratedDynamics?
2 parts
Only one quest in the pack involves this mod: a quest in "EndGame". It sits in the EndGame chapter, which belongs to the Storyline group and is chapter 7 of 44 in the quest book. The chapter has 70 quests.[2]
The task is to hand in a Creative Energy Battery. It has no title of its own in the book, so the quest is named after the item it asks for.[2]
How you get there
The quest unlocks after "The Beginning of the End" quest, which asks for an Infinity Ingot. Here is the chain leading up to it:[2]
- "One Small Step" quest asks for the Ultimate Ingot from Extended Crafting.[2]
- "One Giant Leap" quest comes after it and asks for the Infinity Catalyst.[2]
- "The Beginning of the End" quest follows, and asks for the Infinity Ingot.[2]
- a quest in "EndGame" is the quest for this mod's creative battery.[2]
What it leads to
You aren't alone at this step. Many other creative-item quests unlock right after The Beginning of the End too, for example a quest in "EndGame" and a quest in "EndGame". You can do them in any order.[2]
The creative battery quest is also one of the many prerequisites of a quest in "EndGame", the final quest in this part of the chapter. It asks for the Creative ME Item Cell and is described as "The Culmination of all of your efforts. Be Proud!"[2]
Which IntegratedDynamics config options matter?
5 parts
Everything below lives in core.general.safeMode's file, config/integrateddynamics-common.toml. These are the values this pack ships with, so use them as your starting point when you plan a network.[5]
Unverified Which of these values differ from the mod's own defaults is not confirmed, so none of them are described as pack changes here.
Network energy use
The big one to know about is general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier, the energy usage multiplier for networks. This pack sets it to 0. The per-part base costs are still in the file, so check how your own network behaves before you count on any particular drain.[5]
- general.general.connectorMonoDirectionalBaseConsumption is 32 and general.general.connectorOmniDirectionalBaseConsumption is 128.[5]
- general.general.variablestoreBaseConsumption is 4, while general.general.proxyBaseConsumption and general.general.delayerBaseConsumption are both 2.[5]
- Most readers and writers (for example general.general.inventoryReaderBaseConsumption and general.general.redstoneWriterBaseConsumption) are 1. The light panels, general.general.panelLightStaticBaseConsumption and general.general.panelLightDynamicBaseConsumption, are 0.[5]
- core.general.energyRateLimit, the maximum network energy transfer rate, is 2,147,483,647.[5]
Generators, batteries and machines
- The coal generator produces 20 RF/t (machine.coal_generator.energyPerTick).[5]
- An energy battery holds 1,000,000 by default (machine.energy_battery.capacity). Its transfer per tick is a 1/X fraction of capacity, with X set to 2000 in machine.energy_battery.energyRateCapacityFraction, and the minimum rate (machine.energy_battery.minEnergyRate) is also 2000.[5]
- The mechanical squeezer and the mechanical drying basin each have an energy capacity of 100,000 and a consumption rate of 80 (machine.mechanical_squeezer.consumptionRate and machine.mechanical_drying_basin.consumptionRate).[5]
- The squeezer can auto-eject 500 mB per tick (machine.mechanical_squeezer.autoEjectFluidRate).[5]
Reach and update speed
- A part can target up to 32 blocks away (machine.general.maxPartOffset), and a directional connector can look up to 512 blocks for its target (machine.general.maxDirectionalConnectorOffset).[5]
- New parts default to an update frequency of 1 tick (machine.general.defaultPartUpdateFreq), and the minimum update interval for all parts (general.general.partsMinimumUpdateInterval) is also 1 tick. general.general.partMinimumUpdateIntervals is empty, so no part has its own minimum.[5]
- core.general.operatorRecursionLimit caps operator recursion at 256, which protects you from crashes when building things like the omega operator.[5]
Performance and troubleshooting
If you hit FPS trouble, the file says to disable machine.cable.dynamicShape (true here). Cable model caching (core.general.cacheCableModels) is also on, and part overlays render up to 15 blocks away (general.general.partOverlayRenderdistance).[5]
core.general.recreateCorruptedNetworks is true, so corrupted networks are restored on the first tick. The ingredient network observer may use multithreading (core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverEnableMultithreading) with 4 threads (core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverThreads).[5]
Items and world generation
- The info book is given automatically when you first spawn (item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.obtainOnSpawn is true) and can give item rewards for tutorial completion (item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.bookRewards is true).[5]
- Menril berries give night vision when eaten (item.menril_berries.nightVision is true).[5]
- Generated Menril wood is filled with Menril Resin at a 1/10 chance (worldgeneration.menril_log_filled.filledMenrilLogChance). A higher value means a lower chance.[5]
