What is IntegratedTunnels?
IntegratedTunnels is part of the pack, which ships version 1.8.19 of the mod (the file is IntegratedTunnels-1.18.2-1.8.19.jar, built for Minecraft 1.18.2). It was first included in this pack or an earlier version, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]
That is all I can confirm about the mod from the pack files I have. I have no in-pack documentation describing its features, recipes, configs or quests, so I'm not going to guess at them here.[1]
Unverified What the mod does in detail, who it suits best, and where it fits in the pack's progression (including any link to the ATM Star path or related quests) could not be confirmed from the available sources. Check the in-game recipe viewer for the mod's items before relying on any specifics. This site does hold All the Mods - Gravitas's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with IntegratedTunnels?
4 parts
IntegratedTunnels adds parts that move items, fluids and energy around, and the crafting follows one simple chain. You craft an interface, upgrade it into an importer or exporter, then upgrade that into a world version. Here is the order I'd go in, using the real in-pack recipes.[2]
First: the Item Interface
Start with the Part Interface Item. The item, fluid and energy importers and exporters are all crafted from an interface, so it is the base of everything else. The recipe also uses an Integrated Dynamics item, so you will want that part of the pack set up first.[2]

The Item Interface is a shaped recipe, unlike the upgrades that follow.
Next: the Item Importer and Exporter
Next, turn the interface into an Part Importer Item to pull items in, and an Part Exporter Item to push items out. These are shapeless recipes, so you just combine the pieces in the grid.[2]

Then: the world parts
Once those work, you can move on to the world parts. The Part Importer World Item and Part Exporter World Item are each made from the matching item importer or exporter.[2]

The block versions, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, build on the item importer and exporter as well. Their recipes also need a diamond pickaxe, so have one ready. The advancements describe the block importer as breaking blocks and the block exporter as placing them.[2][3]

Last: the Player Simulator
The Part Player Simulator comes last. Its recipe needs both world item parts and both world block parts, plus an emerald, so craft it once the rest are done.[2]

How does IntegratedTunnels work?
7 parts
IntegratedTunnels adds parts that move items, fluids and energy, and most of the interesting behaviour comes from the variables you feed into them. The sources I have cover the mod's tooltips and advancements, this pack's config and the recipes. They don't include a full manual, so I only describe what those show.[2][3][4]
The part family
The parts build on each other. Interfaces (Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid, Part Interface Energy) are the base parts. Importers and exporters for item, fluid and energy build on the matching interface, and the World variants build on the matching importer or exporter. The recipes below show the exact in-pack chain.[2]

The World Block importer and exporter (Part Importer World Block, Part Exporter World Block) are made from the Item importer or exporter, a Logic Director and a diamond pickaxe. The World Item, Fluid and Energy parts don't need the pickaxe.[2]

Interfaces and filtering interfaces
An interface exposes a storage to the network. The tooltips say a network can report how many valid interfaces it has for item storage and for fluid storage. It can also report the total amount stored and the upper limit it can hold. The round-robin option makes interfaces be iterated in circular order and ignores their priorities.[3]
For finer control, there are filtering interfaces (Part Interface Filter Item, Part Interface Filter Fluid, Part Interface Filter Energy). A filter can apply to insertions into the network, to extractions from the network (views included), or both. If the filter is disabled for insert or extract, an option decides whether everything is allowed through. The mod's own advancements use this to expose an inventory only during daytime, or to pass only items from a certain mod.[2][3]

Importers and exporters
Importers pull from a target into the network and exporters push from the network into a target. Each is driven by a variable. A boolean variable turns import or export on or off. An item, fluid or energy variable tells the part what to move. Importing a given fluid, for example, is a separate write aspect from exporting it.[3]
The item and fluid options let you tune exactly what moves. You can use a blacklist, so everything except the listed items is handled. You can choose whether an empty value matches everything or nothing. You can require an exact stack size or exact amount, and you can match NBT as a subset, a superset, required or recursive. Energy and fluid have their own exact-amount checks per tick. One advancement shows the practical result: an Item Exporter can keep exporting until an inventory holds 10 items.[3]
There is also a passive IO option, which controls whether the target itself may insert into or extract from the network.[3]
World parts
The World importers and exporters act on the space in front of them instead of an inventory. Depending on the type, they place or pick up blocks, items and fluids. The World energy, fluid and item parts can also import from or export to the entities they face. A World Block importer can be set to break a block only if it produces drops. The sources list an entity-index option too: it picks the n-th entity, and -1 always picks a random one.[3]
For placing and dropping, you can set offsets between 0 and 1 on each axis. You can also set yaw and pitch from -180 to 180 degrees, and an entity velocity from 0 to 25. The World Item importer can be limited to picking up a set number of items at a time, and the advancements mention a limit of 5. The World Block exporter can place blocks from a tag list, such as any log from the 'logs' tag.[3]
The setting core.general.worldInteractionEvents is on in this pack, so tunnels show particles and play sounds when they interact with the world.[4]
Player Simulator
The Part Player Simulator clicks as if a player were doing it. It can click with any item or with an empty hand, and it can simulate sneaking. You can choose a continuous click, otherwise each click takes one tick. An advancement has you click with a Diamond Sword. The simulator is crafted from the World Block and World Item importers and exporters plus an emerald.[2][3]

Energy costs in this pack
Each part has a base energy usage in the config. Interfaces are free: general.general.interfaceItemBaseConsumption and its fluid and energy counterparts are all 0. The plain item, fluid and energy importers and exporters cost 1 each, for example general.general.importerItemBaseConsumption and general.general.exporterFluidBaseConsumption.[4]
The World parts have separate settings depending on whether they have a variable. Take the World Item exporter: general.general.exporterWorldItemBaseConsumptionDisabled is 1 when it has no variable, and general.general.exporterWorldItemBaseConsumptionEnabled is 32 when it has one. The other World importers and exporters follow the same pattern in this pack's config.[4]
The Player Simulator works the same way: general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionDisabled is 1 without a variable, and general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionEnabled is 64 with one. So a World part or Player Simulator that is actually working costs much more than an idle one.[4]
Throughput and safety settings
- core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickTimeout is 10. This is how many ticks an importer or exporter sleeps before checking a target again after it was unchanged.[4]
- core.general.fluidRateLimit is 2,147,483,647, the maximum network fluid transfer rate.[4]
- core.general.ejectItemsOnBlockDropOverflow is on. When a broken block's drops don't all fit into the target, the extra items are ejected into the world instead of being voided.[4]
- core.general.ejectItemsOnInconsistentSimulationMovement is on. If an item handler reports inconsistent movement in simulation mode, items are ejected rather than risking being voided.[4]
How do you progress through IntegratedTunnels?
5 parts
In this pack, IntegratedTunnels parts are built from each other, so your progression is a ladder of crafting recipes: interfaces first, then importers and exporters, then the world versions, and finally the player simulator.[2]
Unverified The sources available for this guide show no quest involving IntegratedTunnels, so this section follows the in-pack crafting recipes only. Check the pack's quest book if you want to know whether the mod is mentioned there.
Interfaces
Everything starts with the interfaces: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. There is a version for each resource type, and every later part builds on one of them. These interfaces are shaped recipes.[2]

Importers and exporters
Next come the parts that actually move things around. Importers and exporters exist for items, fluids and energy: Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid, Part Importer Energy, Part Exporter Item, Part Exporter Fluid and Part Exporter Energy. They are all shapeless recipes built from the matching interface, so make the interface first.[2]

World parts
The world importers and exporters are the next step up from the regular ones: Part Importer World Item, Part Importer World Fluid, Part Importer World Energy, Part Exporter World Item, Part Exporter World Fluid and Part Exporter World Energy. The recipe below shows the world item exporter.[2]

Player simulator
The top of the tree is the Part Player Simulator. It needs the world block and world item versions of both the importer and the exporter, so finish the previous step first. It is a shaped recipe.[2]

How does IntegratedTunnels work with other mods?
3 parts
The recipes in this pack tie IntegratedTunnels closely to Integrated Dynamics. Every IntegratedTunnels part recipe in the recipe data uses Integrated Dynamics items, and some also use vanilla Minecraft items. So you need Integrated Dynamics materials before you can build any tunnel part.[2]
Interface parts
The interface parts are the base for the importers and exporters. You get a version for items, fluids and energy: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. These are shaped recipes, and each uses Crystallized Menril Chunk from Integrated Dynamics. The energy version also uses Energy Battery, and the fluid version uses Bucket.[2]

Importers and exporters
The importers and exporters are shapeless recipes that start from the matching interface part. Importers use Input Variable Transformer, and exporters use Output Variable Transformer. That makes the Integrated Dynamics variable transformers the link between an interface and the importer or exporter built from it.[2]

World variants
The world importers and exporters for items, fluids and energy are crafted with Logic Director. Each is built from the regular importer or exporter of the same type.[2]
The block variants, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, also use Logic Director and a vanilla Diamond Pickaxe. They are built from the item importer and item exporter.[2]

Which IntegratedTunnels config options matter?
3 parts
The options below live in config/integratedtunnels-common.toml. These are the values this pack sets, so you know what your tunnels do out of the box.[4]
Transfer and safety options
- core.general.fluidRateLimit is set to 2,147,483,647. It is the maximum network fluid transfer rate.[4]
- core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickTimeout is 10. This is how many ticks importers and exporters sleep before checking their targets again when those targets were previously unchanged.[4]
- core.general.ejectItemsOnBlockDropOverflow is true. If a block is broken and not all of its items fit into the target, the extra items are ejected into the world. Otherwise they would be voided.[4]
- core.general.ejectItemsOnInconsistentSimulationMovement is true. If item movement fails because item handlers declare inconsistent movement in simulation mode, items are ejected into the world. With this disabled, items can be voided.[4]
- core.general.worldInteractionEvents is true, so particles are shown and sounds are played when tunnels interact with the world.[4]
Energy costs
Each part has a base energy usage setting. In this pack the item, fluid and energy importers and exporters each use a base of 1, and the item, fluid and energy interfaces use 0.[4]
The world importers and exporters (block, energy, fluid and item) each have a Disabled setting and an Enabled setting. Disabled applies when the part does not have a variable and is 1. Enabled applies when the part has a variable and is 32. The player simulator follows the same pattern, with 1 without a variable and 64 with one.[4]
- Example: general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionEnabled is 32, and its counterpart general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionDisabled is 1.[4]
- general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionEnabled is 64, and general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionDisabled is 1.[4]
- general.general.interfaceItemBaseConsumption, general.general.interfaceFluidBaseConsumption and general.general.interfaceEnergyBaseConsumption are all 0.[4]
Misc
core.general.analytics and core.general.versionChecker are both true. The first allows an anonymous mod startup analytics request to be sent, and the second enables the version checker.[4]
