Mystical Agriculture is a mod in Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2, where it is version 7.0.24. Adds resource crops for more than 150+ vanilla & modded materials! (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is Mystical Agriculture?

1 part

Mystical Agriculture is built around growing your resources as crops. You plant seeds, harvest essences, and turn those essences into materials, mob drops, tools and armor. This pack includes version 7.0.24 of the mod.[1][2]

The mod's own feature list also covers Growth Accelerators and Watering Cans to speed up growth, and Scythes, Sickles and the Harvester for collecting crops. It adds upgradable Furnaces, a Seed Reprocessor, an Enchanter and a Soulium Spawner. That list comes from the mod's project page, which describes a newer release than the one in this pack.[1][2]

Where the quest book puts it

In this pack's quest book, Mystical Agriculture has its own chapter, also called "Mystical Agriculture", in the "Resource Generation" group. The book lists it as chapter 12 of 44, and the chapter contains 207 quests that ask you to obtain the mod's items.[3]

The chapter opens with the checkmark quest "Welcome to Mystical Agriculture" quest. Two quests follow it directly: "Inferium Essence" quest, which asks you to hand in 64 Inferium Essence and is marked Tier 1, and a quest in "Mystical Agriculture", which asks for 4 Mystical Fertilizer. The mod's project page says Inferium Essence can also come from killing mobs.[1][3]

The quest book chains the essence quests in order. "Prudentium Essence" quest (marked Tier 2) comes after Inferium Essence, "Tertium Essence" quest (marked Tier 3) after that, and "Imperium Essence" quest (marked Tier 4) after Tertium. Many seed quests ask you for a seed straight after one of these tiers, for example a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" and a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" right after Inferium Essence. This matches the mod's design, where the project page says normal resource seeds need some of their resource along with the tier essence of the seed.[1][3]

Some quests branch off the ingots. "Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 1" quest follows a quest in "Mystical Agriculture", and "Essence Armor" quest also follows that ingot. "Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 2" quest follows a quest in "Mystical Agriculture". Seed bases chain from a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" to a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" and then a quest in "Mystical Agriculture". The mod's project page says you make Seed Bases to use in creating any seeds you want.[1][3]

The Infusion Altar quest, "The Infusion Altar" quest, asks for the Infusion Altar and 8 Infusion Pedestal. The mod's project page says that placing the altar in the world shows you where the pedestals go. "Tinkering Table" quest covers the Tinkering Table and an Unattuned Augment.[1][3]

Tip: Not all of this chapter's quest text was available for this guide. The rest is in the quest book itself, so check it in-game.[3]

How do you get started with Mystical Agriculture?

2 parts

Welcome to Mystical Agriculture! In this pack its quest book chapter sits in the "Resource Generation" group, as chapter 12 of 44, and it opens with "Welcome to Mystical Agriculture" quest, a simple checkmark quest. Everything below follows the order the quests lead you in.[3]

Your first steps

  1. Claim the checkmark quest, then head for "Inferium Essence" quest. It asks for 64 Inferium Essence, the tier 1 essence everything else grows from.[3]
  2. Collect that essence. In this pack World.generateInferiumOre is true, so Inferium Ore generates in the world. Mobs can also drop it, and General.inferiumDropChance is set to 0.2 on a 0.0 to 1.0 scale. The pack also adds sieve recipes that turn sand or crushed netherrack into essence.[4][5]
  3. Craft Inferium Seeds (recipe below). Planted, they give you a steady supply of Inferium Essence.[1][5]
  4. Plant them on Essence Farmland for more essence per harvest. In this pack General.essenceFarmlandConversion is true, so right-clicking vanilla Farmland with an essence turns it into Essence Farmland.[1][4]
  5. Pick up a quest in "Mystical Agriculture", which asks for 4 Mystical Fertilizer. It unlocks right after the welcome quest.[3]

Added by the pack: a sieve recipe that turns sand into Inferium Essence.

Got spare seeds? The Seed Reprocessor can turn Inferium Seeds back into 2 Inferium Essence.[5]

Tip: Harvesting a resource crop has a 0.1 chance (see General.fertilizedEssenceChance) to drop Fertilized Essence, so keep an eye out for it while you farm.[4][5]

Where the quest book goes next

Once you have the essence quest done, the chapter branches. Many tier 1 seed quests unlock, such as Air Seeds, Water Seeds and Stone Seeds. "Prudentium Essence" quest (tier 2) also opens, followed by tier 3, 4 and 5 essence quests further on.[3]

The pack changes how some seeds are made. Air Seeds use a pack-added recipe, and it needs Air Agglomeratio, which has its own crafting recipe. Both are shown below.[5]

Growth upgrades come once you have an Inferium Ingot. Then "Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 1" quest asks for an Inferium Watering Can, Inferium Farmland and an Inferium Growth Accelerator. The chapter repeats this for each higher tier.[3]

Part of this chapter (41 of its 207 quests) isn't covered here, so check the quest book in game for those.[3]

How does Mystical Agriculture work?

4 parts

Mystical Agriculture is built on one loop: grow crops, harvest essence, then turn that essence into seeds, tools and gear through a handful of altars and machines. The mod's own guide gives the machine-type blocks a section of their own. Here is what the sources confirm about how it all behaves in this pack.[1][6]

Growth speed and farmland

Essence Farmland can be crafted, or you can right-click vanilla Farmland with an essence. The pack leaves General.essenceFarmlandConversion switched on, so the right-click method works.[1][4]

Growth Accelerators speed crops up on a timer. The pack sets General.growthAcceleratorCooldown to 10, which is the number of seconds between each growth tick.[4]

Two drop settings shape your essence income. General.fertilizedEssenceChance is 0.1 for Fertilized Essence when you harvest a Resource Crop, and General.inferiumDropChance is 0.2 for Inferium Essence from mob kills. General.secondarySeedDrops is on, so crops can drop a second seed when harvested.[4]

Tip: General.fakePlayerWatering is true in this pack, so fake players are allowed to use watering cans.[4]

Seeds, infusion and awakening

General.seedCraftingRecipes is false, so vanilla crafting recipes for seeds are not generated. The pack adds its own instead. Air seeds get a plain crafting recipe, and Constantan seeds use an Extended Crafting combination recipe.[4][5]

Seeds are crafted at the Infusion Altar with Infusion Pedestals around it. When you place the altar in the world, it shows you where to put the pedestals. Upgrading the tier of essence needs an Infusion Crystal, and in this pack General.infusionCrystalUses gives the basic one 1,000 uses.[1][4]

Augments are made by infusion too. Here is a standard mod recipe, Absorption I Augment, which grants 2 absorption hearts.[5][6]

Infusion (mysticalagriculture)

Recipe id: mysticalagriculture:augment/absorption_i

The pack changes the Flight Augment. Its infusion recipe is a pack data file that starts from an Unattuned Augment and uses the pack's own custom items, so check the recipe viewer in game for the exact list. The augment grants Creative Flight.[6][7]

The Awakening Altar and Awakening Pedestals are part of the elemental content, which the mod's guide groups with Awakened Supremium. Turning a Supremium Block into an Awakened Supremium Block is a standard mod recipe of the awakening type.[5][6]

Awakening (mysticalagriculture)

Recipe id: mysticalagriculture:awakened_supremium_block_awakening

Machines and automation

The mod page lists the machines: upgradable furnaces, the Seed Reprocessor, the Harvester for harvesting fields automatically, the Enchanter, and the Soulium Spawner for mob essences. Mob seeds work differently from resource seeds. They need Soul Jars, which you fill by killing mobs with a Soulium Dagger.[1]

The Seed Reprocessor gets more out of your extra seeds by turning them into essence. The recipe dump counts 124 reprocessor recipes, and the pack added at least one of them: Basalt Seeds go in and 2 Basalt Essence come out.[1][5]

The pack also hooks Mystical Agriculture into other mods' automation. Botany Pots has a crop recipe for Ignitium seeds that returns the seeds along with essence and Fertilized Essence. Ex Deorum has a sieve recipe that gives Inferium Essence from Crushed Netherrack.[5]

Unverified Whether the Harvester, Seed Reprocessor, Soulium Spawner and other machines use power or fluids, their processing speeds, and their upgrade values are not covered by the sources available for this pack.

How do you progress through Mystical Agriculture?

5 parts

The whole tier ladder lives in the Mystical Agriculture chapter of the quest book. It sits in the Resource Generation group (chapter 12 of 44) and has 207 quests. You start at "Welcome to Mystical Agriculture" quest and climb one essence tier at a time. Each tier's quest unlocks a wide fan of seed quests, plus that tier's gear and farming upgrades.[3]

The tier ladder

  1. Tier 1: "Inferium Essence" quest asks for 64 of Inferium Essence. It comes straight after the welcome quest.[3]
  2. Tier 2: "Prudentium Essence" quest unlocks after the Inferium Essence quest.[3]
  3. Tier 3: "Tertium Essence" quest unlocks after Prudentium Essence.[3]
  4. Tier 4: "Imperium Essence" quest unlocks after Tertium Essence.[3]
  5. Tier 5: "Supremium Essence" quest unlocks after Imperium Essence.[3]
  6. Tier 6: "Insanium Essence" quest unlocks after Supremium Essence. The Creative tier quest "Essence of Haven" quest hangs off it.[3]

Seed quests hang off the essence quest for their tier. For example, Cow Seeds and Coal Seeds come after Prudentium Essence, and Iron Seeds and Silver Seeds after Tertium Essence. Gold Seeds and Steel Seeds sit behind Imperium Essence, and Diamond Seeds and Netherite Seeds behind Supremium Essence. The Insanium branch holds Nether Star Seeds, Allthemodium Seeds and Dragon Egg Seeds.[3]

Tier 1: getting your first essence

The pack adds Ex Deorum sieve recipes that give Inferium Essence from plain sand, and also from crushed netherrack. That gives you an easy way to work towards the 64 Inferium Essence the first quest asks for.[3][5]

Pack-added crafting recipes then turn essence into seeds. Air seeds are a good first example, and they need an Air Agglomeratio.[5]

Mob seeds are their own branch. a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" leads to a quest in "Mystical Agriculture", then to a quest in "Mystical Agriculture". After that comes "Creating Mob & Experiance Seeds" quest, which asks for the Soul Extractor, Soulium Dagger, Soul Jar and Experience Capsule. The pack's chicken seeds use the Soulium Seed Base.[3][5]

Past Supremium, "The Awakening" quest asks for the Awakening Altar, 4 Awakening Pedestals and 4 Essence Vessels. After it comes "Cognizant Dust" quest, then "Awakened Supremium Essence" quest, the Awakened tier, which has its own armor, tools, and gemstone and ingot quests.[3]

Two more seed quests are worth knowing. a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" needs both Insanium Essence and the Endersoul Hand quest. a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" leads on to a quest in "Mystical Agriculture".[3]

Growth tools, gear and furnaces per tier

Each tier from Inferium up has a "Growing & Speed up Growth" quest asking for a watering can, farmland and a growth accelerator, numbered Tier 1 to Tier 5. The Tier 6 version only asks for the Insanium watering can and farmland. Each tier also has an Essence Armor quest and an Essence Tools & Weapons quest, unlocked after that tier's ingot. Here is how Imperium farmland and accelerators are crafted.[3]

How does Mystical Agriculture work with other mods?

5 parts

Mystical Agriculture connects to the rest of the pack mostly through crafting. Essences turn into materials from other mods, and many seeds are crafted with other mods' stations and items. These are the connections I can confirm from the pack's recipes and quests.[5]

Essences that craft into other mods' materials

A lot of essences craft straight into materials from other mods. These are the ones shown in the recipe data:[5]

Seeds that need other mods

The pack adds Botania Runic Altar recipes for seeds such as skeleton, glowstone, silver, manasteel, graphite, brass, certus quartz and steeleaf. They mix Botania and Thermal Extra items with Tertium Essence.[5]

Extended Crafting handles the higher tiers. Seeds like blaze, constantan, dark steel and fluorite use Combination Crafting recipes added by the pack, which bring in Mekanism, Ender IO and Thermal blocks for some of them. Diamond, iridium and uraninite seeds use Extended Crafting shaped table recipes instead, built around Supremium Essence.[5]

The pack also uses an Extended Crafting shapeless table recipe to merge Inferium Essence and a set of elemental and basic essences into Tier 1 Super Essence.[5][13]

Some earlier seeds, like Apatite Seeds, are plain crafting recipes added by the pack that include a Thermal item. In the quest book, the apatite seeds quest comes right after "Prudentium Essence" quest.[3][5]

In the quest book

The Mystical Agriculture chapter sits in the Resource Generation group, as chapter 12 of 44, and has 207 quests. Most of it is about Mystical Agriculture's own items, but it also includes a quest in "Mystical Agriculture", which asks for an item from Mutant Monsters. The text of most of the other quests is in the quest book itself.[3]

Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use Mystical Agriculture?

4 parts

Most of the Mystical Agriculture quests live in one chapter, also called "Mystical Agriculture", in the "Resource Generation" group of the quest book. It is built around essence tiers: the quest book asks you for each tier's essence, and the seed, ingot and gear quests for that tier come after it.[3]

The main chapter, in order

  1. "Welcome to Mystical Agriculture" quest is a checkmark quest with no item to hand in. The first two item quests come after it.[3]
  2. "Inferium Essence" quest (Tier 1) asks for 64 Inferium Essence. The other quest after the welcome quest asks for 4 Mystical Fertilizer.[3]
  3. "Prudentium Essence" quest (Tier 2) follows the Inferium Essence quest and asks for Prudentium Essence.[3]
  4. "Tertium Essence" quest (Tier 3) follows Prudentium Essence and asks for Tertium Essence.[3]
  5. "Imperium Essence" quest (Tier 4) follows Tertium Essence and asks for Imperium Essence.[3]
  6. "Supremium Essence" quest (Tier 5) follows Imperium Essence and asks for Supremium Essence.[3]
  7. "Insanium Essence" quest (Tier 6) follows Supremium Essence. The "Essence of Haven" quest, marked Tier: Creative, follows it too.[3]

Seed quests come after each essence quest, and each one just asks for the seed item. Examples: Inferium Seeds after Tier 1, Cow Seeds after Tier 2, Iron Seeds after Tier 3, Gold Seeds after Tier 4, Diamond Seeds after Tier 5 and Nether Star Seeds after Tier 6. The Unobtainium Seeds quest comes after both the Insanium Essence quest and a quest for the Endersoul Hand.[3]

Gear, growth and the mob seed route

Each tier also has gemstone and ingot quests, such as a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" and a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" for Inferium. The tier's growth and armor quests come after its ingot quest. The growth quests ask for a watering can, farmland and, up to Tier 5, a growth accelerator, while Tier 6 asks only for a watering can and farmland. See "Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 1" quest for the first tier and "Growing & Speed up Growth Tier 5" quest for the fifth. The tiers also have "Essence Armor" and "Essence Tools & Weapons" quests, and "The Mystical Enlightenment" quest follows one of the tools quests. Several tiers have an apple quest too, for example a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" and a quest in "Mystical Agriculture".[3]

The mob and experience seeds have their own short chain. a quest in "Mystical Agriculture" follows Inferium Essence, then a quest in "Mystical Agriculture", then a quest in "Mystical Agriculture". After that, the quest "Creating Mob & Experiance Seeds" (spelled that way in the book) asks for the Soul Extractor, Soulium Dagger, Soul Jar and Experience Capsule.[3]

Infusion, Awakening and the end of the chapter

"The Infusion Altar" quest asks for the Infusion Altar and 8 Infusion Pedestal. "Tinkering Table" quest asks for the Tinkering Table and an Unattuned Augment. Each tier also has an Infusion Crystal quest. The Master Infusion Crystal quest and the two Ultimate seed quests stand apart from the tier chain, with Ultimate Infinity Seeds coming after Ultimate Seeds.[3]

"The Awakening" quest follows the Supremium Essence quest. It asks for the Awakening Altar, 4 Awakening Pedestal and 4 Essence Vessel. Next is "Cognizant Dust" quest, then "Awakened Supremium Essence" quest. After that come the awakened armor quest, "Awakened Gemstone & Ingot" quest and another tools quest.[3]

Other chapters that mention the mod

Unverified The rest of the Extended Crafting chapter and the whole EndGame chapter are not shown in the sources here. What those quests ask for is in the quest book.

Which Mystical Agriculture config options matter?

4 parts

Mystical Agriculture has a handful of settings that change how you farm, where ore spawns and what bosses give you. Here is exactly how this pack sets them. Most are in the common config, and one is a client-side visual option.[4][19]

Farming and growth

Mob and boss drops

Ore generation

World.generateInferiumOre, World.generateProsperityOre and World.generateSoulstone are all true, so all three generate in the world. World.souliumOreChance is 0.05 (range 0.0 to 1.0), the chance that a Soulium Ore spawns in a Soulstone cluster.[4]

Tools, armor and extras

Unverified The sources only show the values this pack uses, not the mod's defaults, so which of these values the pack changed from default is unverified.

What changed in Mystical Agriculture between versions?

1 part

Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 ships Mystical Agriculture 7.0.24 for Minecraft 1.20.1. The mod has been in the pack since 0.0.45.4 or earlier, so if you've been playing for a while, you've likely already seen it.[2]

Mod changes

  • 7.0.24: Fixed an Awakening Altar crash that happened when there were more than 4 pedestals or vessels. This is the version in the pack right now.[2][20]
  • 7.0.23: Added an update checker URL.[21]

If you build a big Awakening Altar setup, the 7.0.24 fix is the one that matters to you, since it stops the crash that came with more than 4 pedestals or vessels.[20]

Unverified No pack changelog entries for Mystical Agriculture were available, so any changes the pack itself made to this mod across its releases are unverified.
