PackagedDraconic is a mod in Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2, where it is version 3.1.2.9. Draconic Evolution Fusion Autocrafting with PackagedAuto (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is PackagedDraconic?

1 part

PackagedDraconic is an addon for PackagedAuto and Draconic Evolution. It lets you automatically craft the items that come out of Draconic Evolution's Fusion Crafting Core, without hand-feeding the setup each time. This pack ships version 3.1.2.9. The mod can run without Applied Energistics 2, but installing it alongside AE2 is recommended, and this pack does that.[1][2]

The mod adds one crafter, the Fusion Package Crafter. You place it next to an Unpackager and let the Unpackager handle the crafting recipes, which you encode into recipe holders with the Encoder. The crafter also needs enough Marked Fusion Crafting Injectors, in tiers that meet what the recipe asks for. If it is connected to an ME Network, it ejects its outputs straight into the network.[1]

Where it sits in the quest book

The pack's quest book covers the Fusion Package Crafter in its Packaged chapter, which is in the Production group. That chapter is shared with the other PackagedAuto addons, and its PackagedDraconic quests ask you to get the crafter and the Marked Fusion Crafting Injectors it needs.[1][3]

The quest "Fusion Crafting" quest asks you to get the Fusion Package Crafter, and it comes right after "ME Packaging Provider" quest. It sits next to the other crafter quests that also follow that one, such as Elite Crafting, Epic Crafting and Ender Crafting. After it comes a chain of four injector quests, one after the other:[1][3]

  1. a quest in "Packaged" asks for the Marked Draconium Fusion Crafting Injector, one of the injectors the crafter needs, and follows the Fusion Crafting quest.[1][3]
  2. a quest in "Packaged" asks for the Marked Wyvern Fusion Crafting Injector and follows the Draconium injector quest.[1][3]
  3. a quest in "Packaged" asks for the Marked Draconic Fusion Crafting Injector and follows the Wyvern injector quest.[1][3]
  4. a quest in "Packaged" asks for the Marked Chaotic Fusion Crafting Injector, follows the Draconic injector quest and ends the chain.[1][3]

Before you reach any of this, the chapter walks you through the base PackagedAuto setup: the introduction, the recipe encoder, the crafter, the packager and the unpackager. Get those working first, because the Fusion Package Crafter relies on the Unpackager and the Encoder.[1][3]

How do you get started with PackagedDraconic?

2 parts

This mod adds one machine you build and use, the Fusion Package Crafter, plus four marked injector blocks that feed it. It automates Draconic Evolution fusion crafting through PackagedAuto, so you need the basic PackagedAuto setup first. Here is the order I'd go in.[1][3]

The pack's quest book covers the Fusion Package Crafter in its "Packaged" chapter, in the Production group.[3]

Step by step

  1. Do the PackagedAuto basics first. The chapter opens with "PackagedAuto – Introduction" quest, then "Package Recipe Encoder" quest. The Encoder is how you write crafting recipes into recipe holders, and the Fusion Package Crafter relies on that.[1][3]
  2. Get an Unpackager ("Unpackager" quest). The Fusion Package Crafter goes next to one, and the Unpackager is what handles the crafting recipes.[1][3]
  3. Work through "ME Packaging Provider" quest if you use Applied Energistics 2. The mod can run without it, but installing it is recommended, and a crafter connected to an ME network ejects its outputs into the network automatically.[1][3]
  4. Build the Fusion Package Crafter itself (quest "Fusion Crafting" quest). Its in-pack recipe is a Draconic Evolution fusion crafting recipe, not a normal crafting table one. It is shown below.[3][4]
  5. Make the marked injectors next, starting with Marked Draconium Fusion Crafting Injector. Their recipes are shown below.[3][4]

The marked injectors

The crafter needs enough Marked Fusion Crafting Injectors, with tiers that fulfil what the fusion recipe asks for. Its screen lists the minimum required injectors and the ones it can currently use, in four tiers: Draconium, Wyvern, Draconic and Chaotic. Check that screen when a recipe will not start.[1][3][5]

Tip: You don't have to make every tier on day one. Start with the Draconium injector and add higher tiers when the fusion recipes you want to automate need them. The quest book follows the same order: a quest in "Packaged", then a quest in "Packaged", then a quest in "Packaged", then a quest in "Packaged".[1][3]

How does PackagedDraconic work?

3 parts

PackagedDraconic is a small addon that connects PackagedAuto with Draconic Evolution, so you can automate items that normally need a Fusion Crafting Core. The machine at the center of it is the Fusion Package Crafter, and it works together with a set of marked injectors.[1]

Setting up the Fusion Package Crafter

Place the Fusion Package Crafter right next to an Unpackager. The Unpackager is the part that handles the crafting recipes, and you encode those recipes into recipe holders with the Encoder.[1]

If the crafter is connected to an ME Network, it ejects its outputs straight into the network. The mod is designed to run without Applied Energistics 2, but installing it alongside is recommended.[1]

Marked injectors

The crafter requires a sufficient number of Marked Fusion Crafting Injectors whose tiers fulfill the recipe requirement. Its screen lists the tiers Draconium, Wyvern, Draconic and Chaotic.[1][5]

The crafter's screen shows a list of the minimum required marked injectors for the recipe, and a list of the marked injectors that are currently usable.[5]

Each marked injector is a shapeless crafting recipe built from the matching standard Draconic Evolution injector, so you convert the injectors you already have. These are the in-pack recipes:[4]

Getting the crafter itself

The Fusion Package Crafter is not made on a normal crafting table. Its in-pack recipe is a Draconic Evolution fusion crafting recipe, so you make it in a Fusion Crafting Core.[4]

How do you progress through PackagedDraconic?

2 parts

In this pack, the PackagedDraconic content sits in the "Packaged" quest chapter of the Production group. The chapter's earlier quests ask for basic packaging gear before it reaches the Draconic Evolution tiers.[3]

Getting to the Fusion Package Crafter

The quest book lays out the chain in this order:[3]

  1. The chapter opens with "PackagedAuto – Introduction" quest, which asks you for a guide book.[3]
  2. "Package Recipe Encoder" quest is the next step, and "Crafting" quest comes after it.[3]
  3. After Crafting, the book offers "Packager" quest and "Unpackager" quest.[3]
  4. Both of those come before "ME Packaging Provider" quest.[3]
  5. After that, "Fusion Crafting" quest asks you for the Fusion Package Crafter.[3]

Fusion Crafting is one of several crafter quests that unlock after the ME Packaging Provider.[3]

The Fusion Package Crafter is not made in a normal crafting grid. Its in-pack recipe is a Draconic Evolution fusion crafting recipe, and it is listed as a mod recipe, so the pack has not changed it.[4]

The injector tiers

After the Fusion Crafting quest, the chapter has a line of marked injector quests. Each one comes after the one before it, so you work through them from lowest tier to highest:[3]

  1. a quest in "Packaged" comes right after Fusion Crafting and asks for the Marked Draconium Fusion Crafting Injector.[3]
  2. a quest in "Packaged" follows it and asks for the Marked Wyvern Fusion Crafting Injector.[3]
  3. a quest in "Packaged" comes next and asks for the Marked Draconic Fusion Crafting Injector.[3]
  4. a quest in "Packaged" is the last quest in the line and asks for the Marked Chaotic Fusion Crafting Injector.[3]

The marked injectors all use a shapeless crafting recipe, and all are listed as mod recipes, so the pack leaves them as they are. Here is each one in tier order.[4]

How does PackagedDraconic work with other mods?

3 parts

PackagedDraconic is an addon to PackagedAuto and Draconic Evolution, so almost everything it does in this pack involves those two. It is designed to run without Applied Energistics 2, but installing it alongside is recommended.[1]

Draconic Evolution: automating fusion crafting

The Fusion Package Crafter automates crafts made with the Fusion Crafting Core. It needs enough Marked Fusion Crafting Injectors, and their tiers have to meet what the recipe requires.[1]

Each tier of Draconic Evolution injector has its own marked version, made from the plain injector of that tier:[4]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: packageddraconic:marked_draconium_injector

The other tiers follow the same pattern with their own injector.

Made a marked injector by mistake? Each tier has an uncraft recipe that turns it back into the plain Draconic Evolution injector.[4]

PackagedAuto and the Fusion Package Crafter

The crafter itself is made with a Draconic Evolution fusion crafting recipe, and one of its inputs is an ME Packaging Component from PackagedAuto. So you need to be set up for fusion crafting before you can build it.[4]

Fusion Crafting (draconicevolution)

Recipe id: packageddraconic:fusion_crafter_ae

To use it, place the crafter next to an Unpackager and let the Unpackager handle the crafting recipes. You encode those recipes into recipe holders with the Encoder.[1]

When the crafter is connected to an ME Network, it automatically ejects its outputs into the network.[1]

In the quest book

The mod's quests are in the Packaged chapter, in the Production group. "Fusion Crafting" quest asks you to get the Fusion Package Crafter, the block that automates crafts made with the Fusion Crafting Core. It comes right after "ME Packaging Provider" quest, the same quest that many of the other package crafter quests in the chapter follow.[1][3]

After Fusion Crafting, the quest book asks you to get each marked injector in turn: a quest in "Packaged", then a quest in "Packaged", then a quest in "Packaged", and finally a quest in "Packaged".[3]

Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use PackagedDraconic?

2 parts

This mod's quests are in the Packaged chapter of the Production group. The pack's quest book has you work through the base packaging quests first, and only then asks for the Fusion Package Crafter and its injectors.[3]

The road to the Fusion Package Crafter

  1. "PackagedAuto – Introduction" quest opens the chapter. It asks for the guide book.[3]
  2. "Package Recipe Encoder" quest comes after the introduction quest.[3]
  3. "Crafting" quest comes after the encoder quest.[3]
  4. "Packager" quest and "Unpackager" quest both come after Crafting.[3]
  5. "ME Packaging Provider" quest comes after both of those.[3]

Fusion Crafting and the injectors

"Fusion Crafting" quest asks you to get the Fusion Package Crafter. In the quest book it comes after ME Packaging Provider.[3]

The injector quests follow Fusion Crafting as one straight line. Each asks for a single marked injector and comes after the one before it. The book gives them no titles of their own, so they are named after the item they ask for.[3]

  1. a quest in "Packaged" asks for the Marked Draconium Fusion Crafting Injector. It comes right after Fusion Crafting.[3]
  2. a quest in "Packaged" asks for the Marked Wyvern Fusion Crafting Injector.[3]
  3. a quest in "Packaged" asks for the Marked Draconic Fusion Crafting Injector.[3]
  4. a quest in "Packaged" asks for the Marked Chaotic Fusion Crafting Injector. It is the last quest in the line.[3]
