What is XyCraft World?
XyCraft World is part of the pack's mod list. This pack ships version 0.7.53 (the file xycraft_world-0.7.53.jar), and the mod has been in the pack since version 1.0.1 or earlier.[1]
I can't confirm from the available sources what the mod adds in this pack, so I'm not describing its features here. Nothing I have shows where the quest book places it, so I'm leaving out its chapter, group and neighbouring quests rather than guessing. I also have no pack-specific recipes or config values for it.[1]
How do you get started with XyCraft World?
1 part
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
XyCraft World adds a lot of decorative and utility blocks to this pack. The order below is my suggestion, based on how the in-pack recipes feed into each other. The recipe blocks show the exact ingredients.[2]
Suggested first crafts
- Make a few Copper Torch or Aluminum Torch. Each torch has a second recipe that accepts the raw material instead of the ingot, so you can light things up before you smelt anything.[2]
- Craft a Reinforced Glass Viewer. It is the base for the Immortal Glass Viewer, so it is worth having early if you want that upgrade later.[2][3]
- Make Aluminum Bricks. They are the starting point for Aluminum Tiles, and for the colored brick variants such as Blue Aluminum Bricks once you have Xychorium gems.[2]
- When your aluminum stockpile grows, pack raw aluminum into a Block of Raw Aluminum to keep your inventory tidy.[2]

How does XyCraft World work?
4 parts
XyCraft World in this pack is mostly a building-block and ore mod, and that is what the available sources cover: the Ore Geyser, how blue xychorium gems are made, and the aluminum and glass block recipes. The mod's own machines, multiblocks, power, fluid and item handling are not covered by the sources I have.[3][4]
Unverified How XyCraft World's own machines, multiblocks, power and fluid handling work in this pack is unverified. No in-jar guidebook or reusable documentation was available.
Ore Geysers
The mod adds an Ore Geyser block. The pack's structure toggle config has both surface and underground geysers switched on, so both kinds can generate here: harvestable_node_set.surface_geyser and harvestable_node_set.underground_geyser are set to true.[3][5]
Where they appear is set in the placement config. These are the values this pack uses:[6]
- harvestable_node_set.spacing is 15.[6]
- harvestable_node_set.separation is 7.[6]
- harvestable_node_set.salt is 918,273,645.[6]
Getting blue xychorium gems
The pack lets you make Deepslate Blue Xychorium Ore without hunting for it. It adds an Occultism miner recipe and an Actually Additions mining lens recipe that both produce this ore from deepslate-type inputs.[4]
Once you have the ore, the pack adds crushing recipes from several tech mods that turn it into Blue Xychorium Gem. The yield depends on the machine: Create's crusher gives 3 gems, Immersive Engineering's crusher and Mekanism's crusher give 2 each, and the Actually Additions crusher, the Ender IO SAG Mill and the Modern Industrialization macerator give 1 each.[4]

The best ore-to-gem route in the sources is Mekanism enriching. The pack changed that recipe, and it gives 10 gems.[4]

Aluminum and decorative blocks
Aluminum ingots become Aluminum Bricks in batches of 4, and one brick block crafts into 4 Aluminum Tiles. The Blue Aluminum Bricks variant, Blue Aluminum Bricks, comes out 2 at a time.[4]

The stonecutter does a lot of the work in this mod. The recipe dump counts 76 stonecutting recipes that take this mod's blocks and make this mod's blocks, so you can swap between related variants there instead of crafting them. Aluminum Bricks and the Glass Viewer both have their own stonecutting recipes.[4]

How do you progress through XyCraft World?
4 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Unverified The sources here show no quests in this pack that involve XyCraft World, and no in-jar guidebook was found for it, so there is no official progression to follow. The stages below are just the order the in-pack recipes build on each other.
Torches and basic glass viewers
The simplest crafts are the metal torches. The Copper Torch can be made from a copper ingot or raw copper plus a wooden rod, and the Aluminum Torch works the same way with aluminum.[2]

The glass viewers start simple too. The Reinforced Glass Viewer uses cheap glass and an iron ingot. The Glowing Glass Viewer uses a glow ink sac with cheap glass, and the RGB Viewer uses a dye with cheap glass.[2]

Aluminum building blocks
Next you move into aluminum. Raw Aluminum can be stored as a Block of Raw Aluminum, and the metal itself leads to Aluminum Bricks and then Aluminum Tiles. The recipes are shown below.[2]

The Matte Aurey Block is also made from a dye and aluminum ingots.[2]
Xychorium gems and colors
Xychorium gems come in blue, dark, green, light and red, for example Blue Xychorium Gem and Red Xychorium Gem. Each color has a matching storage block, such as Green Xychorium Gem Storage.[2]

The gems unlock the colored variants. Inverted bricks like Blue Inverted Bricks craft directly from a gem and lead to inverted tiles such as Blue Inverted Tiles. Colored aluminum bricks like Blue Aluminum Bricks can be made either from the metal or from plain aluminum bricks. Colored aluminum tiles such as Blue Aluminum Tiles then come from the colored bricks.[2]

Immortal blocks and advanced viewers
The immortal set comes in every one of the gem colors, for example Dark Immortal Stone and Dark Immortal Aluminum. Their recipes use aluminum ingots, obsidian, a color item and a block from a matching crafting group.[2]

How does XyCraft World work with other mods?
5 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
The links between XyCraft World and other mods in this pack come entirely from recipes. Almost all of them revolve around Kivi and the colored Xychorium gems. Here is where each one plugs into other mods.[2]
Finding Kivi and Xychorium ore
The pack adds a Modern Industrialization quarry recipe called "magical" that takes an Infused Pickaxe. It can output Kivi and every color of Xychorium ore: Blue Xychorium Ore, Dark Xychorium Ore, Green Xychorium Ore, Light Xychorium Ore and Red Xychorium Ore. The same recipe also covers ores from Malum, Occultism and Silent Gear, such as Soulstone Ore, Iesnium Ore and Bort Ore.[2]

Turning Kivi into gems
The pack lets you crush Kivi into Crushed Kivi with a Create crushing recipe or with an FTB Stuff hammer recipe. Both start from Kivi.[2]
Create crushing, added by the pack.
The hammer option, also added by the pack.
From there, Create Sifter sifting recipes added by the pack turn Crushed Kivi into the gems. You can use either an Mechanical Blazing Mesh or an Mechanical Diamond Mesh, and each recipe lists every gem color as a possible output.[2]

Making gems with Applied Energistics 2
The pack also adds an AE2 transform recipe for each gem color. Each one combines Quartz Dust, a dye and molten Kivi. The dye decides the color you get:[2]
- Blue dye makes Blue Xychorium Gem.[2]
- Black dye makes Dark Xychorium Gem.[2]
- Green dye makes Green Xychorium Gem.[2]
- White dye makes Light Xychorium Gem.[2]
- Red dye makes Red Xychorium Gem.[2]

- any blue dye
- any molten kivi

The other colors follow the same pattern with their own dye.
Prismatic Xychorium
The pack adds an Industrial Foregoing dissolution chamber recipe that needs a gem of every color. On top of those it needs an Empowered Diamatine Crystal, Polymorphic Fluid Source and a Nether Star. The result is Prismatic Xychorium.[2]

1000× Polymorphic Fluid Source
Nether Star

Dark Xychorium Gem
Green Xychorium Gem
Light Xychorium Gem
Red Xychorium Gem
Recipe id: ftb:prismatic_xychorium
Colored building blocks with vanilla blocks
The mod's own override recipes combine a gem with a vanilla block to make a color-tinted version. For example, Bricks plus a gem gives Blue Bricks or any of the other colors. Crying Obsidian, Chiseled Deepslate and Chiseled Stone Bricks work the same way. These are marked as mod recipes, not pack changes.[2]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/bricks_blue
Polished Deepslate gives the colored deepslate bricks, such as Red Deepslate Bricks. The chiseled wood pillars, such as Green Chiseled Wood Pillar, take any planks instead of one specific block. Each pillar color also has an alternate recipe whose id ends in _r.[2]
Which XyCraft World config options matter?
2 parts
The sources for this pack only cover two XyCraft World config files, and both are about the harvestable node set, which includes the geysers. Here is exactly how the pack sets them.[5][6]
Geyser toggles
Both geyser toggles are switched on in the structure toggle config. harvestable_node_set.surface_geyser is true and harvestable_node_set.underground_geyser is true, so both the surface and underground geysers are enabled.[5]
Placement values
- harvestable_node_set.spacing is set to 15.[6]
- harvestable_node_set.separation is set to 7.[6]
- harvestable_node_set.salt is set to 918,273,645.[6]
Unverified The sources do not list the mod's default values for any of these options, so it is unverified whether the pack changed any of them.
