The pack includes XyCraft Machines at version 0.7.53. It's a smaller piece of the pack's tech and utility content, and the pack's quest book points you to two of its items.^[1]

Where it shows up in the quest book

• The Extractor is the task of quest "Extracting Unique Materials" quest, which sits in the resource generation chapter. That placement suggests the quest book treats it as part of getting resources flowing.^[2]
• The Balloon on a Stick (shown in-game as Balloon on a Stick) is the task of quest "Temporary Flight?" quest, which sits in the useful items and tips chapter.^[3]

Both quests are untitled, and the quest data lists only the item to obtain. It gives no description, reward or recipe.^[2][3]

Unverified The sources don't confirm exactly what the Extractor or the Balloon on a Stick do in this pack, how they are crafted, or where they fall in the progression. They also show no place for this mod on the ATM Star path. Check the items in-game before relying on any particular behavior.

Extractor

The Extractor pulls items and fluids out of the environment, which makes it a good first resource generator. The pack's quest book has a quest for it in the resource generation chapter: "Extracting Unique Materials" quest. The mod also has an Extractor recipe that produces Resin.^[2][4][5]

Optional: Balloon on a Stick

The pack also has a quest in its useful items and tips chapter for the Balloon on a Stick: "Temporary Flight?" quest. Its tooltip reads "How... did you inflate a wool balloon?". It is a fun extra, and none of the machines above need it.^[3][4][5]

Fluid handling

• The Valve is described as what allows the creation of tanks.^[4][5]
• The Hydro Pump automatically pumps water into a connected tank. You can extract from it at a higher rate, and its tooltip lists both a base rate and a waterlogged rate per cycle. The actual numbers aren't in the sources.^[4][5]
• The Fluid Void stops fluids from flowing into adjacent blocks, which is handy for keeping a fluid where you want it.^[4][5]
• The Extractor pulls items and fluids out of the environment.^[4][5]

Lighting and spawn control

The Light Field prevents spawns in a cubed volume. The Illumination Field illuminates a volume of area. The pack changed the Illumination Field recipe, so it's built from a Light Field plus an extra component.^[4][5]

Unverified Multiblock structure rules, power capacity and transfer rates, machine processing speeds and the exact rates of the Hydro Pump aren't confirmed by the available sources. There is no in-jar guidebook, no documentation and no config files for this mod in the pack. It's also unconfirmed whether the Aluminum Wrench is the wrench the Item IO tooltip refers to.

The pack's quest book only touches this mod twice, so this section follows those two quests and then the in-pack recipes. One quest asks you to make an Extractor ("Extracting Unique Materials" quest, in the resource_generation chapter). Step 2: The Extractor quest

The Extractor is the machine the quest book points you toward. Its crafting recipe is the mod's own, not a pack change. As a machine, it has a recipe that turns leaves and logs into Resin. A separate Blender recipe turns resin and water into a Block of Resin.^[2][4]

Aluminum in the refinery

The mod's own refinery has an ore slurry recipe that uses the Aluminum Ingot. It's a regular mod recipe, not one the pack added. The recipe also takes an item from the #c:nitrogens tag. The dump doesn't show an output, so I can't confirm what it produces.^[4]

Since both selector recipes need the Extractor, it's worth knowing the pack's quest book has a quest for it in the resource_generation chapter: "Extracting Unique Materials" quest.^[2]

XyCraft Machines shows up in two quest chapters in this pack, and in each one it's a single quest asking you to have one item. Nothing here is a long questline, so it's easy to pick up as you go.^[2][3]
