XyCraft World in All the Mods 10

XyCraft World is a color-themed mod that adds Xychorium gems, decorative blocks, machines and RGB lamps. This pack includes version 0.7.53. If you like building and decorating, or you just want the machines it adds, this is the mod for you.^[1][2][3]

What you'll be working with

• Kivi is the base material. The pack's quest says it is used mainly for decorations and machines, and that you need it for Machine Frames and other XyCraft machines. See the quest "Kivi" quest.^[2]
• Xychorium Gems come in five colors: Red Xychorium Gem, Green Xychorium Gem, Blue Xychorium Gem, Light Xychorium Gem and Dark Xychorium Gem. Each has its own quest in the XyCraft chapter.^[2]
• Kivi can be combined with Xychorium Gems in a Stonecutter to make decorative blocks.^[2]
• The RGB lamps, such as the RGB Lantern Lamp, RGB Flush Lamp, RGB Cube Lamp and RGB Pillar Lamp, are covered by the quest "XyCraft Lights" quest.^[3]

Where it fits in the pack

The pack gives XyCraft its own quest chapter. It starts with Kivi, and the five gem quests follow it. The lights quest sits in the Building Tips chapter, so the pack treats the lamps as a building and decoration feature.^[2][3]

Unverified The sources do not show where XyCraft World sits in the pack's overall progression, and the mod is not on the ATM Star quest path. Treat it as an optional building and machine mod for now.

XyCraft World is all about colour, and your first goals in this pack are simple: get Kivi, get Xychorium gems, then start decorating. Here is the order I'd go in.^[2][3]

Step 1: Get some Kivi

Kivi is the first thing the XyCraft quest chapter asks for. The quest "Kivi" quest says it's used mainly for decorations and machines, and that you'll need it for Machine Frames and other XyCraft machines. That's why it comes first.^[2]

The pack gives you a few ways to get it. The mod's Extractor has recipes that produce Kivi from water, and the pack changed a Cobblegen Galore block generator recipe that outputs it. You can also craft it from Mystical Agriculture Kivi Essence, a recipe the pack added. Here is that crafting recipe:^[4]

Step 2: Collect Xychorium gems

Next come the gems: Red Xychorium Gem, Green Xychorium Gem, Blue Xychorium Gem, Light Xychorium Gem and Dark Xychorium Gem. Each has its own quest in the XyCraft chapter, placed after the Kivi quest. Kivi used with gems in a Stonecutter gives you decorative blocks.^[2]

The pack lets you get gems from Xychorium ore through several machine lines. It added crushing in Actually Additions, SAG milling in Ender IO and enriching in Mekanism. The mod's own Crusher recipe lists all five gems as outputs, and the pack also added Extractor recipes for each gem. Use whichever machine line you already have running.^[4]

Step 3: Make your first lights

Once you have gems, try the lights. The quest "XyCraft Lights" quest sits in the Building Tips chapter and explains that RGB lights take their colour from the dye used to make them, not from the gem. Here is the recipe for the RGB Lantern Lamp:^[3]

After that, the Stonecutter has recipes for each lamp shape: RGB Cube Lamp, RGB Flush Lamp, RGB Lantern Lamp and RGB Pillar Lamp.^[4]

I have to be upfront with you here: the sources I have for this pack don't explain how XyCraft World's machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation work. I'm only covering what can be confirmed, and that is mostly building materials.^[4][5]

What the sources confirm

The mod's language file lists a Reinforced Glass Viewer block. It also lists the chemicals Clean Aluminum Slurry and Dirty Aluminum Slurry. The file only gives their names, so what they do and how they are produced or moved around isn't confirmed.^[5]

The recipes that are visible are all about building materials. Aluminum Bricks come from a plain crafting recipe, and Aluminum Tiles are crafted from those bricks.^[4]

The bricks also come in the colours red, green, blue, light and dark. Each coloured brick can be crafted directly, or from plain bricks in an alternate recipe. Both use a Xychorium gem and a colour. Here's the blue one as an example.^[4]

The coloured tiles are crafted from the matching coloured bricks, for example Blue Aluminum Tiles from Blue Aluminum Bricks.^[4]

Xychorium storage and compressed forms

Each Xychorium gem colour has a matching storage block, such as Blue Xychorium Gem Storage. These are packed with a mod recipe that takes a gem of that colour.^[4]

Unverified How XyCraft World's machines and multiblocks work, whether they need power, how fluids and chemicals such as the aluminum slurries are handled, and how to automate items in and out are not shown by the sources here. No in-jar guidebook or config files for this mod were available, so none of it is confirmed for this pack.

XyCraft World doesn't have a long tier ladder in this pack. The quests treat it as a short path: get Kivi, collect the five Xychorium gem colors, then use them for decoration, machines and lights. The quests don't split it into numbered tiers, so this section follows that path.^[2][3]

Step 1: Kivi

Everything starts with the "Kivi" quest quest, which asks you to get Kivi. The quest says Kivi is used mainly for decorations and machines. You need it for Machine Frames and other XyCraft machines, and you can combine it with Xychorium Gems in a Stonecutter for decorative blocks.^[2]

The mod's own Extractor can turn water into Kivi, and it has several variants of that recipe. This is the base version:^[4]

This one is added by the pack, so you won't find it in the mod by default.

Step 2: The five gem colors

Next, the XyCraft quest chapter has one quest per gem color: "Red Xychorium Gems" quest for Red Xychorium Gem, "Green Xychorium Gems" quest for Green Xychorium Gem, "Blue Xychorium Gems" quest for Blue Xychorium Gem, "Light Xychorium Gems" quest for Light Xychorium Gem and "Dark Xychorium Gems" quest for Dark Xychorium Gem.^[2]

There are plenty of ways to get them. The mod's Crusher turns Kivi into all five colors:^[4]

If you'd rather use other machines, the pack has added routes for each color:^[4]

• Actually Additions crushing and EnderIO SAG milling both turn each Xychorium ore color into its matching gem.^[4]
• Mekanism enriching turns the ores into gems. The pack adds a direct ore-to-gem recipe per color, and it changes the XyCraft Machines compat recipes that combine an ore with a color.^[4]
• Mystical Agriculture's Xychorium gem essence can be crafted into any of the five gems.^[4]
• The pack adds Extractor recipes for each gem color that need no item inputs.^[4]
• Smelting or blasting Neovitae's Xychorium dust gives only the blue gem.^[4]

Step 3: Storage, building and lights

Each gem color has a storage block, such as Red Xychorium Gem Storage and Blue Xychorium Gem Storage. The mod includes packing and unpacking recipes for them, and the pack changes the All the Compressed recipes that decompress these blocks.^[4]

For building, the mod has Aluminum Bricks and Aluminum Tiles. There are also colored variants such as Blue Aluminum Bricks, which are crafted using a Xychorium gem.^[4]

The last stop is the "XyCraft Lights" quest quest in the Building Tips chapter. It accepts any of the RGB lamps: RGB Lantern Lamp, RGB Flush Lamp, RGB Cube Lamp or RGB Pillar Lamp.^[3]

This is the crafting recipe for the RGB Lantern Lamp.

XyCraft World doesn't stand alone in this pack. Its gems and Kivi connect to vanilla building blocks, Mystical Agriculture essences, a Neovitae material and the All the Compressed storage chain. Here's what the in-pack recipes and quests show.^[2][4]

Mystical Agriculture

The pack adds a recipe for each Xychorium gem color (blue, dark, green, light and red) that starts from Xychorium Gem Essence. Kivi gets its own pack-added recipe from Kivi Essence.^[4]

Vanilla building blocks

Xychorium gems turn plain vanilla blocks into colored decorations. The recipes pair a gem with a vanilla block like Bricks, Chiseled Deepslate, Chiseled Stone Bricks, Chiseled Tuff or Crying Obsidian. The result is a Blue, Dark, Green, Light or Red version, for example Blue Bricks or Red Crying Obsidian. Chiseled sandstone, chiseled red sandstone, chiseled nether bricks, chiseled polished blackstone and chiseled tuff bricks work the same way.^[4]

Blue Bricks from vanilla bricks and a Blue Xychorium Gem. The other colors and base blocks follow the same pattern.

Chiseled wood pillars like Blue Chiseled Wood Pillar use a gem plus any planks, and each color has two recipe variants. The recipes listed here also include deepslate bricks for blue and dark, made from Polished Deepslate.^[4]

Colored lights

The quest "XyCraft Lights" quest in the Building Tips chapter covers the RGB lamps, such as RGB Cube Lamp and RGB Lantern Lamp. Their color comes from the dye they are made with.^[3]

XyCraft World shows up in two quest chapters in the pack: the dedicated "XyCraft" chapter, and one quest in "Building Tips". All of these are item-collection quests, so you just need to have the item.^[2][3]

The XyCraft chapter

The chapter opens with "Kivi" quest. It asks you to get Kivi. The quest text says Kivi is mainly for decorations and machines. You'll need it for Machine Frames and other XyCraft machines, and you can use it with Xychorium Gems in a Stonecutter to make decorative blocks.^[2]

After that come five gem quests. Each one is listed as coming after the XyCraft entry, and each asks for one gem. They have no other tasks and no extra description text. Since they share the same prerequisite, you can do them in any order.^[2]

Building Tips: XyCraft Lights

The last XyCraft quest is "XyCraft Lights" quest, in the "Building Tips" chapter. It unlocks after another quest in that chapter. Any one of four lamps completes it: RGB Lantern Lamp, RGB Flush Lamp, RGB Cube Lamp or RGB Pillar Lamp.^[3]

XyCraft World has been in All the Mods 10 for a long time. The pack's mod list says it was first included in version 2.25 or earlier, so the exact release that added it isn't shown here.^[1]

The one change the pack changelogs confirm is in All the Mods 10 4.6, which updated XyCraft World from 0.7.45 to 0.7.53.^[6]

All the Mods 10 8.1 ships XyCraft World 0.7.53 (file xycraft_world-0.7.53.jar), which is the same version that 4.6 brought in.^[1][6]

Unverified The mod's own changelogs for the shipped jars aren't stored, so the sources here don't show what changed between 0.7.45 and 0.7.53, such as new blocks, fixes or balance tweaks.
