Just Dire Things is a mod in FTB Skies 2 1.24.0, where it is version 1.5.7. A collection of Random Blocks and Items for Automation (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is Just Dire Things?

2 parts

This pack includes Just Dire Things 1.5.7. It is a big all-rounder mod: automation machines, tiered tools and armor, upgrades you can bolt onto them, and a few handy utility items. Everything is built around its goo system, which turns ordinary metals into better materials.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

If you like automating chores, such as breaking, placing and collecting things, and you want gear you can customize with upgrades, this mod is for you. The machines are the automation side of the mod, and tools and armor can both accept upgrades.[2][5]

The goo path

You place a goo block, feed it an item to activate it, then put an eligible block next to it. Higher tier goo can do everything a lower tier can, and does it much faster. Each tier unlocks a new material:[7]

Where it fits in the pack

The pack has a dedicated Just Dire Things quest chapter that follows this goo ladder. It starts with "It All Starts With Goo" quest for the first goo block, then "Goo Transmutations" quest for Ferricore. That quest opens a lot of branches: Ferricore tools and armor, the Pocket Generator, the Fuel Canister and the basic machines like the Simple Block Breaker.[12]

From there, "Creating Blazegold" quest covers Blazebloom Goo and Raw Blazegold. It unlocks Blazegold gear and the Blazejet Wand, and leads on to "Making Celestigems" quest for VoidShimmer Goo and Celestigem. The Blazebloom and VoidShimmer goo quests also ask for goo upgrader items from the Just Dyna Things addon.[12][13]

Tip: Celestigem armor stores 10,000 FE and Eclipse Alloy armor stores 500,000 FE. Keep it charged with a Pocket Generator, which burns coal or this mod's upgraded coals.[14][15][16]

How do you get started with Just Dire Things?

4 parts

Just Dire Things revolves around goo. You place a goo block, feed it, and it converts nearby blocks into new materials. Each goo tier consumes stronger blocks and turns them into better resources, so the whole mod unlocks progressively. In this pack the quest chain follows the same order.[7][8][12]

Step by step

  1. Craft Primogel Goo. This is the first quest in the chain, "It All Starts With Goo" quest. Primogel Goo is made from simple Overworld materials.[8][12]
  2. Place the goo in your world and activate it by feeding it the resource it asks for, which the goo block indicates. Then put an eligible block next to it to start the transformation. Primogel Goo turns basic resources like iron into Ferricore.[7][8]
  3. Check on it regularly. After each transformation there is a 10% chance the goo needs reactivating with another item. While it is inactive it can't start new transformations, but anything already in progress still finishes.[7]
  4. Collect your first Ferricore. The next quest, "Goo Transmutations" quest, asks for an iron block, Raw Ferricore and a Ferricore Ingot. Once that is done, most of the early quests open up.[12]
  5. Spend your Ferricore. Separate quests then ask for Ferricore tools and armor, a Ferricore Bow, the Ferricore Wrench, a Pocket Generator, Primal Coal, Upgrade: Blank and a Fuel Canister.[12]

Your first machine

Most machines come in a simple and an advanced version. Simple versions need no power, but generally only affect the block or entity directly in front of them. You control how fast they work with the Speed(ticks) button. The Simple Block Breaker is a good first pick, and its quest opens right after the Ferricore ingot quest.[12][17]

The Simple Block Placer and Simple Swapper recipes are also changed by the pack, so check them here rather than relying on what you remember from the mod. The Simple Swapper needs Blazegold, so it comes a step later. If you build Swappers, the Ferricore Wrench can link them.[18][19]

Power for later

Advanced machines need power to operate. The Pocket Generator accepts coal or the upgraded coals from this mod. Higher tier fuels burn hotter and longer, which gives you more Forge Energy per tick. You can also feed it from a Fuel Canister.[16][17]

Power matters for gear too: Celestigem armor, for example, stores up to 10,000 FE, and the guide recommends a Pocket Generator to keep it charged.[14][16]

Watch out: There is no way to get fuel back out of a Fuel Canister once it is inside, so only put in fuel you are happy to commit.[20]

Moving on to Blazegold

Next comes Blazebloom Goo, which turns gold into Blazegold. Its quest, "Creating Blazegold" quest, also asks for a goo upgrader from the Just Dyna Things addon and for Raw Blazegold. After that you can make the Blazejet Wand, which has the air burst ability and stops fall damage while you hold it.[9][12][13][21]

Tools and armor move up a tier at a smithing table with an upgrade template, and they keep their installed upgrades when you do this. JEI shows the recipes. For example, the Blazegold Pickaxe can be made from a Ferricore Pickaxe with Template: Blazegold.[18][22][23]

How does Just Dire Things work?

9 parts

Just Dire Things is a mod built mainly around automation, and almost everything in it follows the same simple-versus-advanced pattern. Learn that pattern once and most of the machines will make sense straight away.[2][17]

Simple vs advanced machines

Most machines come in two variants. Simple versions need no power, but they can generally only affect a block or entity directly in front of them. You control how fast they work with the Speed (ticks) button.[17]

Advanced versions are much more powerful but need power to run. They can usually affect a large area that you set in the UI, and they have filters so you decide what gets affected. They also automatically charge any Forge Energy items you place inside them.[17]

The lowest tick speed a machine can be set to is controlled by general.minimum_machine_tick_speed. In this pack it is 1, the mod default, which means a machine can run every tick.[24]

Area of effect and filters

  • Click the 'Render area' button to see in the world which area the machine will affect.[25]
  • The RAD button changes the radius, which makes the area bigger. The OFF button changes the block offset, which moves the center of the area.[25]
  • Most advanced machines have a row of filter slots for items, blocks or entities. You can drag from JEI into them, or click a slot with a stack in your hand while the GUI is open.[25]
  • To filter entities, use a spawn egg or a Creature Catcher.[25][26]
  • The allow/deny button flips the filter. In allow mode only the listed things are affected. In deny mode everything except the listed things is affected.[25]
  • Compare NBT makes a filter stricter. For example, it can require matching enchantments or damage on a tool, or a specific color of sheep when you use a Creature Catcher.[25]
Tip: Setting up lots of machines the same way? The Machine Settings Copier copies a machine's settings with shift-right click, then pastes them onto another machine with a right click. Click in the air to open a menu and pick which settings to copy.[27]

What each machine does

  • Block Breaker: the Simple Block Breaker breaks the block it faces using a tool you put in it. It cannot work without a tool, and it damages the tool or consumes power on every block, just like a player would. The Advanced Block Breaker covers a much larger area. 'Filter block' picks which blocks to break, while 'filter items' picks which drops are allowed. A direction button sets which face you hit from, which matters for tools with a hammer ability.[28][29]
  • Block Placer: when powered, the Simple Block Placer places the block in its inventory in front of it. The direction button is handy for things like torches. On the Advanced Block Placer the filters choose which blocks it may place on, and they respect the direction setting. With 'down' selected, it only places on top of the filtered block.[30][31]
  • Swapper: place two swappers and right click them one after the other with a Ferricore Wrench to bind them. You can swap the blocks in front of them, entities, or both. Block entities like chests swap fine. The Advanced Swapper adds area of effect and filters, and the radius setting is copied to its bound partner.[19][32][33]
  • Clicker: the Simple Clicker simulates a right click, left click or held click, with an optional item or sneaking. A target button limits it to blocks, air, hostile, passive, adult, child, player or all living. The Advanced Clicker covers a larger area and supports filters, which makes it useful for mob farms or animal breeders.[34][35]
  • Dropper: the Simple Dropper drops items in a set direction. You can change how many drop at once (up to 64) and the pickup delay, which defaults to 0. The Advanced Dropper has a 3x3 grid and its filter slots set the order items drop in. If one item runs out, it stops until it gets more.[36][37]
  • Item Collector: it acts like an advanced machine even though it uses Tier 1 resources. It vacuums up item entities in its area and deposits them into the inventory it is attached to. You can filter what it picks up and increase the pickup speed.[38]
  • Sensors: they detect blocks or entities in their area and emit a redstone signal. The Simple Sensor has a single filter slot. The Advanced Sensor can count matches, and by default it fires when there is more than 0.[39][40]
  • Inventory Holder and Player Accessor: the Inventory Holder works like a chest with a player-style layout and per-slot filters that pipes and hoppers respect. The Player Accessor lets hoppers or pipes insert into or extract from a player's inventory, and you choose which side maps to which slots.[41][42]

The pack changed the crafting recipes for the three simple machines below, so don't rely on what you remember from the base mod.[18]

Fluids and experience

The Simple Fluid Collector tries to collect any fluid in front of it into an internal buffer that holds only one fluid at a time. An item slot lets it fill buckets or a Fluid Canister. The Advanced Fluid Collector covers a larger area and filters by fluid when you put a bucket of that fluid in the filter slots.[43][44]

The Simple Fluid Placer has a fluid tank and a slot for buckets or canisters. It places fluid only when more than 1,000mb is available and nothing is in front of it. The Advanced Fluid Placer works over a larger area and filters by the blocks it places on.[45][46]

The Experience Holder stores levels and doubles as a fluid tank, converting experience into XP Fluid at 20mb per experience point. The + and - buttons move 1 level, shift moves 10, and ctrl moves all. You can also set a target level for players in its area, triggered on pulse by default or always, and enable 'Collect Experience' to absorb nearby orbs. It keeps its experience when broken.[47]

Power and generators

The Simple Coal Generator burns any furnace fuel, and it can also burn specialized coal tiers: Primal Coal, Blaze Ember, Voidflame Coal and Eclipse Ember. Each higher tier raises both FE per tick and total FE generated.[48]

In this pack the tier 1 generator settings match the mod defaults. It outputs 1,000 FE per tick, holds up to 1,000,000 FE, and makes 15 FE per burn tick of fuel (coal has 1,600 burn ticks, sticks 100). The burn speed multiplier is 4, so fuel burns faster than its normal duration.[24]

The Simple Fuel Generator uses refined fuels in 3 tiers. The pack's fluid generator settings are also at their defaults: 5,000 FE per tick output and a 5,000,000 FE buffer. Fuel pays out 450 FE per mb for Tier 2 (Blaze Ember), 1,300 for Tier 3 (Voidflame) and 4,000 for Tier 4 (Eclipse Ember).[24][49]

The Fuel Canister stores fuel so you don't burn a whole coal for a single smelt. Insert fuel in its UI, using any burnable except lava buckets, then slot the canister into furnaces or generators. You can't get the fuel back out. Fuel from this mod brings its fuel multiplier, which is averaged with what is already inside. The pack caps the canister at 10,000,000 ticks of fuel and counts 200 ticks consumed per furnace operation, both mod defaults.[20][24]

There are also generators that run on the environment. The Thermo Generator makes Forge Energy from heat source blocks and a fluid coolant. The in-game guide lists default maximum FE rates for the solar panels: 240 for Ferricore, 960 for Blazegold, 3,840 for Celestigem and 11,520 for Eclipse Alloy, and says everything can be changed through configs.[50][51]

Moving energy around

The Energy Transmitter sends Forge Energy wirelessly. Connect it to a generator and its buffer fills. Then set its area of effect, and any block in that area that accepts Forge Energy gets filled. You can filter which machines receive power. Transmitters inside each other's area balance each other with no loss, and you can turn off its particles with a UI button.[52]

Wireless transfer has a deliberate loss, which is configurable. In this pack the Tier 1 transmitter loses 1 percent per block of distance, holds up to 1,000,000 energy, and moves up to 1,000 per tick to machines and other transmitters. These are the mod defaults.[24][52]

Goo

Goo transforms blocks placed next to it. Place a goo block, feed it the resource it asks for to activate it, then put an eligible block beside it. After each transformation there is a 10% chance it needs reactivating by feeding it another item. While inactive it can't start new transformations, but ongoing ones finish. Higher tier goo can do everything a lower tier can, and does it much faster.[7]

  • Primogel Goo turns Iron into Ferricore.[8]
  • Blazebloom Goo turns Gold into Blazegold.[9]
  • VoidShimmer Goo turns Diamonds into Celestigem.[10]
  • Shadowpulse Goo turns Netherite into Eclipse Alloy.[11]

In this pack goo.goo_can_die is true, so goo can randomly die and need reviving. The Stabilizer revives goo on top of it using Forge Energy, and the FE-powered Energized Goo needs Forge Energy to stay alive.[24][53][54]

Time machinery

The Ticker Block speeds up blocks to 16x the normal tick rate. The Time Wand does something similar on the go, but it needs both Forge Energy and Time Fluid. Each click on a ticking block (a furnace or crops, for example) doubles its speed, and each boost lasts 30 seconds and costs both resources.[55][56]

The Paradox Machine snapshots an area, recording blocks (raw ores only) and entities, and later restores what you cleared. It needs a significant amount of power and Time Fluid. Overuse builds up paradox energy, which shows on its UI. Restored entities may not be exactly identical to the originals.[57]

Powering tools and armor

Celestigem armor pieces hold 10,000 FE each, and Eclipse Alloy armor pieces hold 500,000 FE. The guide suggests keeping them charged with a Pocket Generator. It takes coal or this mod's upgraded coals, and higher tier fuels give more FE per tick. A Fuel Canister works there too.[14][15][16]

Upgrades are installed in a smithing table, and smithing upgrades keep the installed upgrades. Shift-click a held tool to open its settings, where you toggle upgrades and assign hotkeys. A passive ability's hotkey toggles it, while an active ability's hotkey triggers it.[23]

Abilities like ore miner and tree feller have a break cap per tool tier. The pack uses the mod defaults of 64 for Ferricore, 128 for Blazegold, 192 for Celestigem and 256 for Eclipse Alloy, set by abilities.tool_max_break_ferricore, abilities.tool_max_break_blazegold, abilities.tool_max_break_celestigem and abilities.tool_max_break_eclipsealloy.[24]

How do you progress through Just Dire Things?

5 parts

Just Dire Things progression is a ladder of four material tiers, and every rung is unlocked by a goo block. Primogel Goo turns iron into Ferricore, Blazebloom Goo turns gold into Blazegold, VoidShimmer Goo turns diamonds into Celestigem, and Shadowpulse Goo turns netherite into Eclipse Alloy.[8][9][10][11]

Goo works in three steps: place the goo block, feed it the resource it asks for to activate it, then put an eligible block next to it. After each transformation there is a 10% chance the goo needs reactivating. Higher tier goo can do everything a lower tier can, and does it much faster.[7]

The pack's Just Dire Things quest chapter follows the same ladder. The quests for tiers 2 to 4 each ask for that tier's goo block, a goo upgrader item and the tier's material, and the tools, armor and machines of that tier hang off them.[12]

Tier 1: Ferricore

The chapter opens with Primogel Goo in "It All Starts With Goo" quest. Next, "Goo Transmutations" quest asks for an Iron Block, Raw Ferricore and a Ferricore Ingot. Nearly everything else in the Ferricore tier branches from that quest.[12]

Most machines come as a simple and an advanced version. Simple ones need no power but only affect the block or entity directly in front of them. Advanced ones need power, cover a large configurable area and have filters.[17]

The pack changed the recipes of the Simple Block Breaker, Simple Block Placer, Simple Clicker, Simple Dropper and Simple Swapper. The Simple Swapper quest sits in the Blazegold branch rather than the Ferricore one, so plan for that.[12][18]

Tier 2: Blazegold

"Creating Blazegold" quest asks for Blazebloom Goo, a goo upgrader item and Raw Blazegold. It unlocks the Blazegold tools, armor and bow, plus Blaze Ember, the Creature Catcher, the Experience Holder, the Blazejet Wand and the Portal Gun.[12]

"Template: Blazegold" quest gives you Template: Blazegold, and it requires both the Upgrade: Blank quest and the Blazegold goo quest. Blazegold tools, armor and the bow can be made with a smithing upgrade from the Ferricore version. The Blazegold tools and bow also have plain crafting recipes.[12][18]

Upgrading in the smithing table keeps the upgrades you have already installed, so it is the better route for tools you have invested in.[22][23]

"Creating Fluids" quest asks for the Polymorphic Catalyst. The fuel generator quest ("Upgraded Fuel" quest) and the portal fluid catalyst quest ("Unstable Portal Fluid" quest) both follow it.[12]

Tier 3: Celestigem

"Making Celestigems" quest asks for VoidShimmer Goo, a goo upgrader item and Celestigem. The pack adds three alternative recipes for VoidShimmer Goo, each starting from Blazebloom Goo, and each uses a different extra material alongside end stone and an ender pearl.[12][18]

Template: Celestigem ("Template: Celestigem" quest) comes after the Upgrade: Blank and Celestigem goo quests. Celestigem tools and armor are smithing upgrades of the Blazegold versions. The Celestigem Paxel is made by combining the Celestigem axe, pickaxe and shovel, and its quest ("Celestigem Paxel" quest) requires all three.[12][18]

This tier is also where the Advanced machines open up. "Advanced Machines" quest accepts any of the advanced breaker, placer, clicker, sensor, dropper, fluid placer or fluid collector. For example, the Advanced Block Breaker is crafted from the simple version plus Celestigem.[12][18]

Other Celestigem-tier goals are Voidflame Coal ("Voidflame Coal" quest), the Energy Transmitter ("The Energy Transmitter" quest) and the Advanced Portal Gun ("Advanced Portal Gun" quest). The Advanced Portal Gun needs the Celestigem quest and the Portal Fluid Bucket quest ("Portal Fluid" quest).[12]

Tier 4: Eclipse Alloy

"Ore of the Eclipse" quest asks for Shadowpulse Goo, a goo upgrader item and Raw Eclipse Alloy, and it follows the Celestigem quest. From it you get Eclipse Alloy tools, armor and the Eclipse Alloy Bow, plus Eclipse Ember ("Eclipse Ember" quest). Template: Eclipse Alloy ("Template: Eclipse Alloy" quest) needs the Upgrade: Blank quest and this one.[12]

The Eclipse Alloy Paxel ("Eclipse Alloy Paxel" quest) needs the Eclipse Alloy pickaxe, axe and shovel, and the Celestigem paxel quest too. The Eclipse Alloy Sword also shows up as a task in a separate quest in the Wild Hunt chapter ("Eclipse Alloy Sword" quest).[12][58]

The end of the chapter is "Altering Time" quest, which asks for the Time Crystal and the Advanced Swapper. That unlocks the Paradox Machine ("The Paradox Machine" quest) and the Time Wand ("Time Wand" quest).[12]

Upgrades and fuel along the way

Once you have Upgrade: Blank, the chapter offers a whole group of upgrade quests, including Upgrade: Night Vision, Upgrade: Flight, Upgrade: Elytra, Upgrade: Hammer, Upgrade: Ore X-Ray and Upgrade: Instant Break. You install them by putting the tool or armor and the upgrade item in a smithing table. Hold shift over a tool to see which upgrades it can take.[12][22][23]

Fuel has its own track. The Simple Fuel Generator quest (""Simple" Fuel Generator" quest) accepts a Blaze Ember, Voidflame or Eclipse Ember fuel bucket. The Voidflame bucket ("Voidflame Fuel" quest) follows Voidflame Coal, and the Eclipse Ember bucket ("Eclipse Ember Fuel" quest) follows Eclipse Ember.[12]

How does Just Dire Things work with other mods?

2 parts

Just Dire Things connects to other mods in this pack mainly through its goo soils. The pack adds a whole family of Immersive Engineering Cloche recipes that use them, and the quest book pulls in the Just Dyna Things addon for goo upgrades.[12][13][18]

Goo soils in the Immersive Engineering Cloche

Every one of these Cloche recipes is added by the pack. Each takes one of the four goo soils, Primogel Soil, Blazebloom Soil, VoidShimmer Soil or Shadowpulse Soil, together with a seed or crop item, and gives you the grown result.[18]

The biggest group is Mystical Agriculture. Seeds for air, aluminum, amethyst, armadillo, blaze, breeze, bronze, certus quartz, chicken, coal, compressed iron, conductive alloy, constantan and copper give you the matching essence, and the list goes on. For example, you can turn Air Seeds into Air Essence on goo soil.[18]

Air EssenceAdded by the pack

Cloche (immersiveengineering)

Recipe id: ftb:cloche/air_essence_from_goosoil_tier1

Tier 1 soil version. The air essence recipe also exists for the other three soil tiers.

Crops from other mods can also be grown on goo soil. These all have goo soil Cloche recipes:[18]

Tip: If you already use a Cloche for crops, check whether a goo soil recipe exists for the seed you're growing. The aubergine, belladonna, cabbage, canola, coffee bean and Ars Nouveau pod recipes each come in all four soil tiers.[18]

Just Dyna Things in the quest book

Just Dyna Things is an addon for Just Dire Things, and the quest book ties the two together. Three goo quests each ask for a Just Dire Things goo block, a goo upgrader from the addon, and the resource that tier produces.[12][13]

They form a chain in the just_dire_things chapter: the first comes after the Ferricore quest, the second after the first, and the third after the second. The Blazegold and Celestigem tools and armor quests, and the Eclipse Alloy template quest, hang off this chain.[12]

Which FTB Skies 2 quests use Just Dire Things?

5 parts

Just Dire Things has its own quest chapter in the pack, "just_dire_things". Almost every quest is an item-collection task, and the tree branches out from one early checkpoint. One extra quest in another chapter also asks for a Just Dire Things item.[12][58]

The main path

  1. "It All Starts With Goo" quest is the chapter's first quest and asks for Primogel Goo. It unlocks after a quest that isn't part of this chapter.[12]
  2. "Goo Transmutations" quest asks for an iron block, Raw Ferricore and a Ferricore Ingot. Most of the chapter opens up from here.[12]
  3. "Creating Blazegold" quest asks for Blazebloom Goo, a goo upgrader (justdynathings:goo_upgrader_t1) and Raw Blazegold. It opens the Blazegold section.[12]
  4. "Making Celestigems" quest asks for VoidShimmer Goo, a goo upgrader (justdynathings:goo_upgrader_t2) and Celestigem. It opens the Celestigem section.[12]
  5. "Ore of the Eclipse" quest asks for Shadowpulse Goo, a goo upgrader (justdynathings:goo_upgrader_t3) and Raw Eclipse Alloy. It opens the Eclipse Alloy section.[12]

After the Ferricore checkpoint

Once "Goo Transmutations" quest is done, a large group of quests unlocks at the same time, so you can take them in any order. The tools are "Ferricore Pickaxe" quest (Ferricore Pickaxe), "Ferricore Shovel" quest (shovel), "Ferricore Sword" quest (sword), "Ferricore Axe" quest (axe) and "Unique Soils" quest (hoe). The armor set is "Ferricore Armor" quest and the bow is "Ferricore Bow" quest.[12]

Upgrades and templates

"Tool Upgrades" quest asks for an Upgrade: Blank and unlocks the tool upgrade quests. These are night vision ("Upgrade: Night Vision" quest), smoker ("Upgrade: Smoker" quest), ore X-ray ("Upgrade: Ore X-Ray" quest), flight ("Upgrade: Flight" quest), negate fall damage ("Upgrade: Negate Fall Damage" quest), elytra ("Upgrade: Elytra" quest), ore scanner ("Upgrade: Ore Scanner" quest), smelter ("Upgrade: Smelter" quest), instant break ("Upgrade: Instant Break" quest), mob X-ray ("Upgrade: Mob X-Ray" quest), hammer ("Upgrade: Hammer" quest), mob scanner ("Upgrade: Mob Scanner" quest) and drops teleport ("Upgrade: Drops Teleport" quest).[12]

The three smithing templates each need the Upgrade: Blank quest plus the matching goo quest. "Template: Blazegold" quest asks for Template: Blazegold and needs "Creating Blazegold" quest. "Template: Celestigem" quest asks for Template: Celestigem and needs "Making Celestigems" quest. "Template: Eclipse Alloy" quest asks for Template: Eclipse Alloy and needs "Ore of the Eclipse" quest.[12]

Blazegold, Celestigem and Eclipse Alloy

Outside the chapter

The "the_wild_hunt" chapter has one quest, "Eclipse Alloy Sword" quest, that asks for the Eclipse Alloy Sword. It lists no prerequisite quest.[58]

Which Just Dire Things config options matter?

6 parts

Good news first: every Just Dire Things option in this pack that lists a mod default is set to exactly that default. The pack doesn't change any of these values, so the numbers below are both the pack's values and the mod's. The common config file holds all of them, and the server config file shows the same values for the options it lists.[24][59]

Ability block limits per tool tier

These caps limit how many blocks a tool can break with abilities like ore miner or tree feller. Ferricore is capped at 64 in abilities.tool_max_break_ferricore. Blazegold gets 128 in abilities.tool_max_break_blazegold. Celestigem gets 192 in abilities.tool_max_break_celestigem. Eclipse Alloy gets 256 in abilities.tool_max_break_eclipsealloy. Each can be set anywhere from 1 to 2,048.[24][59]

Every ability toggle, such as abilities.flight, abilities.instabreak and abilities.treefeller, is set to true in the pack, so all abilities are enabled.[24][59]

Generators

Goo

goo.goo_can_die is true, so goo can randomly die when it finishes crafting and needs reviving by right clicking with an item. goo.goo_death_chance is 0.1, which is a 10% chance.[24][59]

Paradox Machine

Restoring one block costs 250,000 FE (paradox_machine.paradox_rf_per_block) and 50 mb of Time Fluid (paradox_machine.paradox_fluid_per_block). Entities cost the same amounts (paradox_machine.paradox_rf_per_entity, paradox_machine.paradox_fluid_per_entity). Both costs are multiplied by how many blocks or entities you restore, so big jobs get expensive fast. The machine holds up to 10,000,000 FE (paradox_machine.paradox_rf_capacity) and 16,000 mb of Time Fluid (paradox_machine.paradox_fluid_capacity).[24][59]

Watch out: paradox_machine.paradox_restricted_mobs is false in the pack. The config notes say that with it off there's a small chance of item dupe bugs when cloning mobs. They recommend leaving it off and adding any mob that allows dupes to the Paradox Machine's deny entity tag.[24][59]

Time Wand and Portal Guns

The Time Wand costs 100 FE per use (time_wand.time_wand_rf_cost) and a Time Fluid cost of 0.5 (time_wand.time_wand_fluid_cost). Both costs are multiplied by the acceleration amount. The maximum speed multiplier is 256 (time_wand.time_wand_max_multiplier), and the config says it should be a power of two.[24]

The wand's energy buffer holds 100,000 FE (time_wand.time_wand_rf_capacity). Fake players such as clickers are allowed to use it (time_wand.time_wand_fake_player_allowed is true).[24]

Portal Gun V1 holds 100,000 FE (portal_gun.portal_gun_v1_rf_capacity) and costs 1,000 FE per shot (portal_gun.portal_gun_v1_rf_cost). Portal Gun V2 holds 1,000,000 FE (portal_gun.portal_gun_v2_rf_capacity) and costs 5,000 FE per shot (portal_gun.portal_gun_v2_rf_cost).[24][59]
