What is Farmer's Delight?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
Farmer's Delight is a cozy expansion to farming and cooking. With a simple cooking system and some familiar ingredients, you can prepare a wide variety of hearty meals, from sandwiches and salads to stews and desserts.[1]
It also adds a way to improve the soil your crops grow in, new tools and weapons for hunting and gathering, and decorations for your builds. If you like building a proper kitchen and farming a little bit of everything, this mod is for you.[1]
This pack includes Farmer's Delight 1.3.4, built for Minecraft 1.21.1.[2]
Where it fits in the pack
The mod has an entry in the Food and Farming quest chapter. The quest a quest in "Food and Farming" is untitled and completes when you obtain any one of these: the Cooking Pot, the Stove, the Cutting Board, the Skillet, or the Cutting Board from Cooking for Blockheads. Any of them will do, so pick whichever fits your kitchen first.[3]
How do you get started with Farmer's Delight?
5 parts
Farmer's Delight is all about cooking and farming. In this pack, the Food and Farming chapter of the quest book has a quest, a quest in "Food and Farming", that is completed by getting any one of the Cooking Pot, Stove, Cutting Board or Skillet. Here is the order I'd make them in.[4]
First: a knife
Start with the Flint Knife. A knife is a lightweight melee weapon with fast swings and gentle damage. It can harvest Straw from grasses, and it guarantees secondary drops from animals.[5][6]
To get your first Straw, harvest grass, wheat or rice with the knife.[6]
Later you can move up to the Iron Knife, shown below. In this pack the Diamond Knife and the Golden Knife are changed from the mod's defaults, and their in-pack recipes are shown here too.[5]

Then: a skillet
The Skillet lets you cook on the go: stand near heat, then hold the food in your other hand. You can also sneak to place it down as a block.[6]
Finally: a stove and a cooking pot
Then craft the Stove and the Cooking Pot. Put the pot down and you can start preparing meals. Both recipes are in the pack, so you can see exactly what they need below.[5][6]

Find some ingredients
Wild crops grow in specific places. Beetroot and cabbage are commonly found on beach coasts. Carrots and onions grow in temperate lands such as plains and forests. Potatoes grow in cold lands such as mountains and taigas. Tomatoes grow in arid lands such as savannas and deserts, and rice grows in the ponds of wet lands such as swamps and jungles.[6]
How does Farmer's Delight work?
5 parts
Farmer's Delight is a mod about farming and cooking, built around a simple cooking system. This section covers the stations, tools and soil upgrades that the sources confirm, and how they work in your hands.[1]
Cooking stations
The Cooking Pot is where you start preparing meals. Its tooltip lists how many servings it holds of a dish.[6]

The Skillet is the cook-on-the-go option. Sneak to place it down as a block, or stand near heat and hold food in your other hand. You can also place a Campfire to cook some food.[6]
The Cutting Board breaks items down: with a tool in hand, use the board on an item.[6]

Knives and harvesting
The Knife is a lightweight melee weapon with fast swings and gentle damage. Knives can harvest Straw from grasses and guarantee secondary drops from animals, and you can use one on Pigs or Hoglins to get Ham. Harvesting grass, wheat or rice with a Knife gives you Straw. Upgrading a knife to Netherite costs a whole Netherite Ingot.[6]
Straw is the starting point for Canvas, which is used for the farmersdelight:basket, the Canvas Rug and the Canvas Sign. The recipes are shown below.[5]
A canvas rug can be turned back into canvas.

Soil, compost and crops
Organic Compost slowly decays into Rich Soil, an upgrade for your farms. The decay is sped up by adjacent activators and by adjacent water. Sun, water and mushrooms also help it compost better. You can shear a fully mature Mushroom Colony, but growing one that far needs a very rich soil.[6]
Some crops have their own growing rules. Rice is planted in a shallow water puddle, and hanging rope above a tomato crop makes it grow taller.[6]
Meals and their effects
Meals carry status effects. Warm bowl meals give Comfort, which provides natural regeneration regardless of how hungry you are. Plated meals give Nourishment, which prevents hunger loss, except when saturation is used to heal damage. Some meals are big enough to be placed down as feasts and shared with friends.[6]
Dough is made by crafting wheat with a Water Bucket. The bucket's water is not used up.[6]
Storage crates
Crops can be packed into crates and unpacked again, as with the Cabbage Crate and Cabbage. A Cabbage Leaf can also be turned into a cabbage. The pack changed the Carrot Crate and Beetroot Crate recipes, so use the recipes below rather than the mod's defaults.[5]
The pack changed this recipe.

A cabbage leaf can also be crafted into a cabbage.
Unverified Any adjustable values for this mod would be set in its config files, and the sources here do not show any config for it in the pack.
How do you progress through Farmer's Delight?
3 parts
In this pack's quest book, Farmer's Delight shows up in the Food and Farming chapter through the quest a quest in "Food and Farming". It's an item task, and it accepts any of these: Cooking Pot, Stove, Cutting Board, a Cooking for Blockheads cutting board, or Skillet. You only need to obtain one of them to complete it.[4]
Start with your kitchen stations
The quest points you at the mod's core cooking stations, so this is the natural place to begin. Here are the in-pack recipes for the cutting board, skillet, cooking pot and stove.[4][5]

How does Farmer's Delight work with other mods?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
Farmer's Delight doesn't live on its own in this pack. A handful of recipes tie it to Create, Immersive Engineering, Silent Gear and Supplementaries, and the pack changed each of them from its default. Here's what the pack data shows.[7]
Create: Pie Crust by mixing
You can make Pie Crust with Create mixing, using Wheat Flour and any milk. It's a pack-changed recipe, so it's a way to get your pastry base from Create's machines.[7]
Mixing (create)

- 250× any milk

Immersive Engineering: squeezing seeds
Immersive Engineering's squeezer has pack-changed recipes that involve Cabbage Seeds and Tomato Seeds together with Plant Oil. Check the recipe blocks below for the exact in-pack setup.[7]

Silent Gear: Netherwood on the cutting board
Cut Netherwood on a Cutting Board and you get Tree Bark plus a Stripped Netherwood Log. This is a pack-changed Farmer's Delight cutting recipe.[7]
Cutting (farmersdelight)
Recipe id: farmersdelight:integration/silentgear/cutting/netherwood
Supplementaries: Planter and Sack
Supplementaries has recipes that use Farmer's Delight items. The Planter recipe uses Rich Soil, and the Sack recipe uses Canvas. Both are pack-changed crafting recipes.[7]
Quest tie-in
In the Food and Farming chapter, the quest a quest in "Food and Farming" accepts any one of several kitchen items: Cooking Pot, Stove, Cutting Board, Skillet, or Cutting Board. So a cutting board from either mod counts for it.[3]
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Farmer's Delight?
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
Farmer's Delight shows up in one quest chapter in this pack: Food and Farming. The only quest I can confirm there is a quest in "Food and Farming", and it has no title in the pack files.[3]
It is an item-pick task, so you only need to get hold of one of the accepted items to complete it. Any of these works:[3]
- Cooking Pot[3]
- Stove[3]
- Cutting Board[3]
- Skillet[3]
- Cutting Board, the cutting board from Cooking for Blockheads, which this quest also accepts[3]
Unverified The sources don't say where this quest sits in the Food and Farming chapter, what it unlocks, or whether it has a reward. Check the in-game quest book for the exact order.
Which Farmer's Delight config options matter?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 1.17a guide
The Farmer's Delight project page says modpack makers are free to customize the mod as they see fit. That means a pack can change config values or recipes compared with the mod's defaults.[1]
Unverified No config files for Farmer's Delight were available for this pack, so I can't confirm any option names or values, or which ones the pack changed from the mod defaults. To avoid showing you a mod default as if it were the pack's setting, I'm leaving specific options out of this section.
What changed in Farmer's Delight between versions?
4 parts
All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.2 ships Farmer's Delight 1.2.11 (the 1.21.1 jar), and the mod has been in the pack since version 1.0 or earlier. I have no pack changelog entries for this mod, so this section follows the mod's own changelogs for 1.2.8 to 1.2.11. Entries that only apply to other game versions are left out.[8][9][10]
1.2.11 (the version in the pack)
- The feasts tag is now part of the c:edible_when_placed tag, and ropes are tagged under c:ropes.[10]
- Fixed a possible load error where tomatoes weren't present when joining a server.[10]
- Canvas Rug and Tatami Mats now have their own stepping sounds.[10]
- Statistics are now awarded for using tools on the Cutting Board, using Knives to cut cakes and pies, and using containers to take servings from feasts.[10]
- Mushroom Colonies no longer float without support when the light level is under 13.[10]
- Fixed outdated fluid syntax in the Create integration.[10]
1.2.10
- Villagers can now consume Farmer's Delight crops to become willing to breed.[11]
- New tags: farmersdelight:snacks for non-sweet multi-ingredient foods that don't need containers, and farmersdelight:sweets for desserts and similar foods.[11]
- The c:foods/milk tag is being phased out in favor of c:drinks/milk, and all the mod's recipes now use the new one. The old tag stays for backwards compatibility but was slated for removal in the next minor release.[11]
- Fixed the foodEffectTooltip config not affecting the tooltip of vanilla foods that have Farmer's Delight effect overrides.[11]
- Fixed the Cutting Board playing sounds at the zero corner instead of its center.[11]
- Fixed non-contained meals, such as Dumplings, being deleted when you used the same meal on the pot while it sat in the meal slot.[11]
- Fixed the Chocolate Pie spouting recipe in the Create integration to use the correct fluid tag.[11]
1.2.9
- Rich Soil Farmland can now be hydrated by any fluid type capable of hydration.[12]
- Wild Cabbage and Sea Beet can now generate in any biome tagged minecraft:is_beach.[12]
- Fixed the Cooking Pot allowing you to cook and store up to 99 servings.[12]
- Temporary fix for the Cooking Pot crashing in spectator mode: access is now disabled there.[12]
- Fixed Rabbit Stew not returning bowls after being eaten.[12]
- Fixed the Create integration's milling recipes, which never finished processing because of an invalid field.[12]
- Fixed the water-based Wheat Dough recipe still showing in JEI when disabled, and fixed the mod's special recipes existing in the minecraft namespace.[12]
1.2.8
- Wheat Dough got a simpler, less cumbersome crafting recipe that uses a water bucket as a simple technology gate. The bucket's water isn't depleted. The older recipe is still present so auto-crafting setups don't break.[9]
- All water bucket usages in the mod now use a common tag, which is c:buckets/water on 1.21.1.[9]
- New item tags: meals, drinks and feasts.[9]
- Knives were added to the breaks_decorated_pots tag, and the Master Chef advancement was updated with additional meals.[9]
- The Cooking Pot now always cools down when a recipe becomes invalid mid-cooking, instead of sometimes losing all progress.[9]
- Fixed Rich Soil negating fall damage on 1.21.1, Knives with Silk Touch slicing Pumpkin blocks, and the Jack-O-Lantern not being mineable with a Knife.[9]
- Tomato bushes no longer have their planting rules hardcoded to vanilla farmland.[9]
- On 1.21.1, Baskets and Cabinets now have an item handler capability, the Tall-mato advancement works properly, and HUD overlays no longer render on top of AppleSkin overlays.[9]
