What is Create: Enchantment Industry?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Create: Enchantment Industry adds more tools and methods for handling experience and enchanting inside Create. Its project page says the mod currently offers these, so if you like automating everything with belts, spouts and deployers, you can automate enchanting too.[1]

The pack includes version 2.5.3b of the mod.[2]

What it adds

The project page lists what the mod currently offers. These are the features that matter most for a Create player:[1]

  • Liquid Experience, listed as a current feature: high-density experience that is easy to store and transport.[1]
  • Experience Hatch, listed as a current feature: lets you interact with a fluid tank directly, using your own experience.[1]
  • Mechanical Grindstone, listed as a current feature: a fully automated Grindstone with an extra sanding function.[1]
  • Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger, listed as current features: a blaze acts as a smart enchanting table and as a smart anvil.[1]
  • Printer, listed as a current feature: copies written books, enchanted books, name tags, train schedules and more.[1]
  • Experience Lantern, listed as a current feature: absorbs experience and also works on contraptions.[1]
  • Hyper-enchantmechanism, listed as a current feature: lets you break the limits of enchantments.[1]
  • Mending on belt: items with Mending can be repaired using a Spout and Liquid Experience.[1]
  • Deployer and Crushing Wheel tweak, listed as current features: their kills drop experience nuggets. Deployers also benefit from a sword with Sweeping Edge.[1]

The page also lists, among the features it currently offers, Apotheosis integration such as the Brass Bookshelf, Infuser and Gem Cutter, and an optional Classic Blaze Enchanter from the old v1.0 mod.[1]

Tip: The project page describes the mod in general, so its feature list may not match version 2.5.3b exactly. Check in game before you plan a build around a specific machine.[1][2]

Where it fits in the pack

Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests for this mod, and the mod isn't on the ATM Star path. There is also no in-jar guidebook to confirm progression details, so I can't say at what stage of the pack you're meant to reach it.

How do you get started with Create: Enchantment Industry?

6 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.0 guide

This mod adds tools for handling experience and enchanting inside Create. Almost everything runs on Liquid Experience, so your first goal is to get a supply of it and then build the machines that spend it. Here's the order I'd go in.[1]

Step one: Mechanical Grindstone, your Liquid Experience source

Start with the Mechanical Grindstone. It's a fully automated grindstone, and it turns experience items into Liquid Experience. It can also disenchant enchanted items.[1][3][4]

Step two: feed it experience

These are the Liquid Experience sources confirmed in this pack's recipes:[3]

  • Grind a Block of Experience or a Nugget of Experience in the Mechanical Grindstone.[3]
  • Empty an experience bottle with a Create emptying recipe. You get Liquid Experience and an empty glass bottle back.[3]
  • The pack also has its own recipes that turn Mystical Agriculture Experience Droplets (emptying) and Ars Nouveau Experience Gems or Greater Experience Gems (grinding) into Liquid Experience.[3]

Step three: Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger

Next up is the Blaze Enchanter, a smart enchanting table. Feed it Liquid Experience to activate it, and set the enchant level on its panel before you enchant. The in-game ponder notes that a vanilla enchanting table caps at level 30, and that a higher level isn't always better, because some enchantments stop appearing when the level is too high.[4]

This is a smithing upgrade, not a normal crafting recipe.

The Blaze Forger is the matching smart anvil. It's made the same way, with a smithing recipe.[1][3]

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:smithing/blaze_forger

Tip: You can automate the Blaze Enchanter with a Mechanical Arm. The arm can insert items, feed experience fuel, and take out the enchanted item and any invalid item.[4]

Step four: store experience and make templates

The Experience Hatch lets you store your own experience in a fluid tank and take it back out. Both actions have their own advancements.[1][4]

Item Application (create)

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:item_application/experience_hatch

An Enchanting Template is made by pressing a Block of Experience. Put an item in the Blaze Enchanter's panel slot to enter Template Enchanting Mode. A blank template given to the enchanter then receives enchantments that suit that item. The Blaze Forger can apply the finished template to an item.[3][4]

Extras worth building early

  • The Printer copies written books, enchanted books, name tags and train schedules, and more.[1]
  • The Experience Lantern absorbs experience and also works on contraptions.[1]

Looking ahead: Super Experience

Once the basics run, look at Block of Super Experience. Pressing it makes a Super Enchanting Template, and the quest a quest in "?" in the Productive Bees chapter asks you to feed that template to an Experience Bee.[3][5]

How does Create: Enchantment Industry work?

9 parts

According to the mod's project page, this mod offers more tools for handling experience and enchanting inside Create. The foundation is Liquid Experience, which the page describes as high-density experience that is easy to store and transport. Almost every machine below either makes it, stores it or spends it.[1]

Getting Liquid Experience

The mod page describes the Mechanical Grindstone as a fully automated Grindstone with an extra sanding function. The mod's advancements show it disenchanting an enchanted item, and one of them asks for 1,000,000 mB of Liquid Experience from Mechanical Grindstones. The mod's grinding recipes turn experience items into Liquid Experience, and some values here were changed by the pack.[1][6][7]

Storing and moving experience

The mod page says the Experience Hatch lets you interact with a fluid tank directly, using your own experience. Two of the mod's advancements ask you to store your experience using an Experience Hatch and to retrieve some experience with one.[1][6]

Item Application (create)

The mod page lists the Experience Lantern as absorbing experience and also working on contraptions.[1]

Blaze Enchanter

The in-game Ponder scene says the Blaze Enchanter functions like an Enchanting Table. You give it Liquid Experience to activate it, and before enchanting you set the enchant level on its panel. The scene notes that the level cap of a vanilla enchanting table is 30.[6]

Blaze EnchanterMod recipe

Smithing Transform

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:smithing/blaze_enchanter

The Ponder scene says the panel is also a filter slot. Right clicking that slot with an item designates it as a template, which is called Template Enchanting Mode. In this mode the enchanter produces only enchantments supported by the template item, so diamond chest armor in the slot means only diamond-chest-armor enchantments. If you give it a blank Enchanting Template, the scene says those enchantments will be added to the template.[6]

The Ponder scene says different materials and template item types produce different enchantments. Its example is that golden chest armor has better enchantability than diamond chest armor, so it produces relatively better enchantments. It also warns that a higher level is not always better, because some enchantments will not appear when the level is too high.[6]

Pressing (create)

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:pressing/enchanting_template

Super Enchanting

The Ponder scene says the Blaze Enchanter has two "stomachs". Feed it a Cake o' Enchanting and it begins seething, a state known as Super Enchanting mode. Liquid Experience cannot be piped into the second tank: an eligible Super Experience item, such as Cake o' Enchanting, must be used.[6]

According to the scene, in this mode the enchant level cap is significantly increased and the enchanter can produce Treasure Enchantments. It exclusively processes Super Enchanting Template.[6]

Pressing (create)

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:pressing/super_enchanting_template

Watch out: The Ponder scene says to place a Lightning Rod nearby, because Super Enchanting can cause lightning strikes. You can cover the Blaze Enchanter with a block to avoid the strikes, but then a curse may appear.[6]

Making the cake

The Cake Base o' Enchanting recipe was changed by the pack, so follow this version rather than the mod's default.[7]

Cutting the cake gives 4× Cake Slice o' Enchanting. The pack also has a Farmer's Delight cutting recipe for slices that uses a knife, and it was changed by the pack.[7]

Cutting (create)

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:cutting/experience_cake_slice

Super Experience also comes as a block and nuggets that you can convert between each other: a block gives 9× Nugget of Super Experience.[7]

9 × Nugget of Super Experience

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/super_experience_block

Blaze Forger

The Ponder scene says the Blaze Forger functions like an Anvil and is also activated with Liquid Experience. It can merge enchantments of the same item like an anvil, but with no Repair Cost. It can also merge Enchanting Templates.[6]

The scene calls its most important job applying Enchanting Templates to items. It is also able to strip enchantment from equipment, a book or an Enchanting Template onto a blank Enchanting Template.[6]

Automating with Mechanical Arms

Both the Blaze Enchanter and the Blaze Forger can be automated with a Mechanical Arm. The arm can insert items and also feed experience fuel. On the Enchanter it can extract the enchanted item and any invalid item. On the Forger it can extract the forged item.[6]

Printer

The mod page lists the Printer as copying written books, enchanted books, name tags and train schedules. The mod's advancements also mention using it to rename an item and to change a package's pattern or address.[1][6]

Not every book can be copied. The Printer tells you when an enchanted book has no copiable enchantments or contains an uncopiable one. It also tells you when a written book has no contents to copy.[6]

Extras on the belt

The mod page lists a few smaller tweaks. Kills made by a Deployer or Crushing Wheel drop experience nuggets. Items with Mending can be repaired on a belt using a Spout and Liquid Experience. A Deployer also benefits from a sword with Sweeping Edge.[1]

Unverified This mod has no config files in the pack, and no in-jar guide was available. Exact tank capacities, enchant level caps in Super Enchanting mode, and processing speeds could not be confirmed.

How do you progress through Create: Enchantment Industry?

5 parts

Here is how I'd order Create: Enchantment Industry in this pack, based on the in-pack recipes. Each step builds on the one before: first you make basic machines, then you get Liquid Experience flowing, then you upgrade to the Blaze machines, and last you reach the super tier.[7]

Basic machines

The Mechanical Grindstone is the entry point. It is a normal crafting recipe, and it is the machine that turns experience items into Liquid Experience.[7]

Getting Liquid Experience

Before any bigger machine is useful you need a supply of Liquid Experience. In this pack you can get it in several ways. Emptying a bottle of experience gives 10 units of Liquid Experience. Grinding a Nugget of Experience gives 3, and grinding a Block of Experience gives 27.[7]

The pack also lets you turn items from other mods into Liquid Experience, and these recipes are marked as changed by the pack. An Experience Droplet from Mystical Agriculture empties into 10 units. An Ars Nouveau Experience Gem grinds into 3, and a Greater Experience Gem grinds into 12.[7]

  • Bottle of experience, emptied: 10 units of Liquid Experience.[7]
  • Nugget of Experience, ground: 3 units.[7]
  • Block of Experience, ground: 27 units.[7]
  • Mystical Agriculture Experience Droplet, emptied (pack-changed recipe): 10 units.[7]
  • Ars Nouveau Experience Gem, ground (pack-changed recipe): 3 units. Greater Experience Gem: 12 units.[7]

Once you have a fluid supply, the Experience Hatch is a handy way to move it around. It is made by applying a Block of Experience to a Fluid Hatch.[7]

Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger

The Blaze machines are the main upgrade. Both are smithing recipes that start from a Blaze Burner and use a blaze upgrade Smithing Template from the create_dragons_plus namespace. The Blaze Enchanter finishes with an enchanting table, and the Blaze Forger finishes with an anvil.[7]

The Cake o' Enchanting is a side branch. The pack changed the recipe for the Cake Base o' Enchanting, and both steps are shown below. The filling step uses 1,000 units of Liquid Experience. A cake cuts into 4 Cake Slice o' Enchanting items with Create's cutting, and the pack also changed the Farmer's Delight cutting recipe for the slice.[7]

Top tier: Super Experience

The super tier revolves around the Nugget of Super Experience. The recipe dump lists a Productive Bees mixing recipe that produces the nugget, and it shows no item inputs, so check it in game before you plan around it. Nine nuggets craft into one Block of Super Experience, and a block can be turned back into 9 nuggets.[7]

Super experience also grinds back into Liquid Experience: 3 units per nugget and 27 per block, the same amounts as the regular nugget and block.[7]

How does Create: Enchantment Industry work with other mods?

    4 parts

Create: Enchantment Industry is built on top of Create and needs Create: Dragons Plus to run. In this pack, most of the crossover comes from recipes that turn other mods' experience items into Liquid Experience or use Create parts to make this mod's machines.[1][7]

    Create

Liquid Experience can be compacted into a Block of Experience. The block can also be ground back into Liquid Experience, and so can a Nugget of Experience.[7]

Which Create: Enchantment Industry config options matter?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.47 guide

There isn't much config detail to share for this mod yet. The project page describes the mod's features but doesn't list its config options, their defaults, or how to change them.[1]

One thing worth knowing: the page calls the Classic Blaze Enchanter, the old Blaze Enchanter from v1.0, an optional feature. That suggests it's something you can switch on or off rather than something that's always there.[1]

Unverified We couldn't check how this pack sets any of this mod's config options, including whether the Classic Blaze Enchanter is enabled or whether any values differ from the mod's defaults. The pack's config files for this mod weren't available to review.

What changed in Create: Enchantment Industry between versions?

    1 part

All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.0.2 ships Create: Enchantment Industry version 2.1.7. The mod has been in the pack since 1.0 or earlier, so you have had it from the start.[8]

    Mod changelog

    • 2.1.7: fixed a JEI plugin load issue. This is the version the pack currently includes.[8][9]

The pack changelogs have no entries for this mod, and I only have the 2.1.7 notes from the mod's own changelog. Older mod versions and the changes between them are not covered here.[8][9]
