What is Create: Enchantment Industry?
2 parts
Create: Enchantment Industry adds more ways to handle experience and enchanting inside Create. If you like automating everything with belts, spouts and deployers, this mod lets you automate your enchanting and XP too. The pack includes version 2.5.3b.[1][2]
What it adds
- Liquid Experience: high-density experience that is easy to store and transport.[1]
- Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger: a blaze acts as a smart enchanting table and a smart anvil.[1]
- Mechanical Grindstone: a fully automated grindstone with an extra sanding function.[1]
- Printer: copies written books, enchanted books, name tags, train schedules and more.[1]
- Mending on belt: items with Mending can be repaired using a Spout and Liquid Experience.[1]
- Deployer and Crushing Wheel tweak: their kills drop experience nuggets. Deployers also benefit from a sword with Sweeping Edge.[1]
- Hyper-enchantmechanism: lets you break the limits of enchantments.[1]
Where it fits in the pack
In the pack's quest book, the mod shows up in the World Engine tier 5 chapter. Quest "Enchanted Book Production" quest asks for the Enchanter and the Printer. So the Printer is the item from this mod that the quest book asks for.[3]
That quest comes after another quest in the quest book, so it is not the first step of its path.[3]
How do you get started with Create: Enchantment Industry?
5 parts
This mod adds tools for handling experience and enchanting with Create. It is built around Liquid Experience, which is easy to store and move around. Here is the order I'd build things in this pack.[1]
Mechanical Grindstone
Start with the Mechanical Grindstone. It is a fully automated grindstone with an extra sanding function. It disenchants items, and it is a source of Liquid Experience. The recipe is the mod's own, so it is not changed by the pack.[1][4][5]

Experience Hatch
Next, make the Experience Hatch. It lets you store your own experience in a fluid tank and take it back out. The pack adds this recipe itself, and it is made by applying one item to another, not by normal crafting.[1][4][5]
Item Application (create)
Recipe id: ftb:create_enchantment_industry/experience_hatch
Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger
The Blaze Enchanter is a blaze acting as a smart enchanting table. In direct mode it randomly enchants a compatible item at the level you select. In template mode it writes one suitable enchantment into a blank Enchanting Template. It is made with a smithing recipe.[1][4][5]
Smithing Transform
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:smithing/blaze_enchanter
The Blaze Forger is the smart anvil. It can apply an enchanted book or a filled template to an item, extract one enchantment into a blank template, or merge matching items.[1][4][5]
Smithing Transform
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:smithing/blaze_forger
Enchanting Templates come from a pressing recipe.[4]
Pressing (create)
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:pressing/enchanting_template
Printer
The Printer copies written books, enchanted books, name tags, train schedules and more. It is also one of the two tasks of the quest "Enchanted Book Production" quest in the World Engine tier 5 chapter, so you will want one anyway.[1][3]
The Apotheosis machines
Once the basics are running, the mod's Apotheosis integration comes next: the Infuser, the Gem Cutter and the Affix Augmentor. The pack changed all three recipes from the mod's defaults, so go by these ones.[1][4]

How does Create: Enchantment Industry work?
10 parts
Create: Enchantment Industry turns experience and enchanting into things you can pipe, belt and automate. The core idea is Liquid Experience, which the mod describes as high-density experience that is easy to store and transport. The machines below either make it, spend it, or use it to change items.[1]
Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger
The Blaze Enchanter works like an Enchanting Table. It has two modes. Direct mode randomly enchants a compatible item at the enchanting level you select. Template mode writes one enchantment that suits the template item into a blank Enchanting Template.[5]
The Blaze Forger acts as a smart anvil and has three modes. Apply puts an enchanted book or filled Enchanting Template onto a target item. Extract moves one enchantment from an item, book or template into a blank Enchanting Template. Merge combines matching enchantment carriers, books, templates, or matching equipment.[1][5]
The pack leaves the level limits at the mod defaults. Regular enchanting uses up to experience level 30 (kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxEnchantLevel), and Super Enchanting uses up to level 60 (kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxSuperEnchantLevel). Both machines hold 4,000 mB of fluid, which is also the default (kinetics.fluids.blazeEnchanterFluidCapacity and kinetics.fluids.blazeForgerFluidCapacity).[6]
Breaking enchantment limits
The mod's Hyper-enchantmechanism lets you go past normal enchantment level caps. In this pack, Super Enchanting and Super Forging ignore enchantment compatibility (kinetics.enchantments.ignoreEnchantmentCompatibility is true). When an enchantment has no per-enchantment rule, its max level is extended by 1 for Super Enchanting (kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxLevelExtension) and for Super Forging (kinetics.enchantments.blazeForgerMaxLevelExtension). Extraction does not respect over-capped levels, because kinetics.enchantments.extractEnchantmentRespectLevelExtension is false.[1][6]
Super Enchanting also has a blocked-lightning case. Each curse roll has a 0.5 chance to add an applicable curse, with 1 roll and a maximum curse level of 1. The pack keeps these defaults (kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterBlockedLightningCurseChance, kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterBlockedLightningCurseCount, kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterBlockedLightningCurseMaxLevel).[6]
Automating the Blaze machines
You can automate the Blaze Enchanter with a Mechanical Arm. The Arm can insert the item to enchant, feed it experience fuel, and take out the enchanted item or an invalid item.[5]
Blaze Composer (Apotheosis affixes)
The Blaze Composer transfers, combines and reapplies Apotheosis affixes. Supply Apotheotic Essence through the bottom to activate Normal Mode, which accepts Brass and Crystal Affix Templates. Each tier has its own level capacity. Engineer's Goggles preview the inputs, essence cost, result and any reason an operation cannot start.[5]
- Extract Mode moves one affix from equipment into a matching blank template and returns the equipment without that affix.[5]
- Merge Mode combines templates of the same tier and rarity. Two matching level 0.25 affixes produce level 0.5.[5]
- Apply Mode consumes the template and adds or upgrades every compatible affix on the target equipment.[5]
For Super Mode, fill the Normal tank through the bottom pipe, then give the Composer a Godforged Pearl to permanently unlock its second tank. Once the Normal tank is full, extra Apotheotic Essence flows into the second tank and activates Super Mode. Super Mode accepts only Apotheotic Affix Templates, which can carry levels beyond an affix's native limit. Actual level limits and essence costs follow the server configuration, so check them with Engineer's Goggles.[5]
To automate it, use Depots and Mechanical Arms. In Extract Mode, two input Depots provide the affixed equipment and a blank template, and the input Arm puts each item in the correct slot. The Composer will not accept another batch until every output is removed, so the output Arm has to take out both the stripped equipment and the filled template. Arms can also insert Apotheotic Essence containers and the Super activator, but a bottom pipe is better for a continuous fluid supply.[5]
Apotheotic Essence and the Affix Augmentor
The Affix Augmentor automates what the Augmenting Table does in Apotheosis, which is upgrading the affixes of equipment. It must sit on a horizontal Belt or Depot. It needs a tank of Apotheotic Essence to work, and that Fluid Tank must be 2 blocks beneath it.[5]
In this pack you get Apotheotic Essence by dissolving Apotheosis materials in a Mixer. There is one recipe for each material tier from common to mythic, and the pack changed them. Gem Dust dissolves into Crystal Essence instead. The mythic and Gem Dust recipes are shown below.[4]

Mechanical Grindstone
The Mechanical Grindstone is a fully automated grindstone with an extra sanding function. It disenchants items and gives you Liquid Experience. The pack raised its fluid capacity to 5,000 mB, up from the mod default of 1,000 (kinetics.fluids.mechanicalGrindstoneFluidCapacity).[1][5][6]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/mechanical_grindstone
Printer
The Printer copies written books, enchanted books, name tags, train schedules and more. It can also rename items and change a package's address or pattern. The pack raised its fluid capacity to 50,000 mB, up from the mod default of 4,000 (kinetics.fluids.printerFluidCapacity).[1][5][6]
Every Printer function has its own on/off option, and the pack leaves them all enabled. They cover banner patterns, Create copiable items, custom names, enchanted books, package addresses, package patterns and written books (for example kinetics.fluids.enableEnchantedBookPrinting and kinetics.fluids.enableWrittenBookPrinting). Custom names print in italics, because kinetics.fluids.printingCustomNameAsItemName is false.[6]
Experience Lantern
The Experience Lantern absorbs experience and also works on contraptions. It holds 1,000 mB (kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternFluidCapacity). It pulls in experience orbs within a radius of 10 (kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternPullRadius), and pulling can be switched off with kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternPullToggle. It drains 50 mB of experience from a player per 0.5 ticks (kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternDrainRate). These are all mod defaults.[1][6]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/experience_lantern
Liquid Experience vaporizes into Experience Orbs when you place it (kinetics.fluids.experienceVaporizeOnPlacement is true), so keep it in tanks and pipes.[6]
Experience from Deployers and Crushing Wheels
Kills by Deployers and Crushing Wheels drop experience. The pack enables Crushing Wheel experience drops (kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXp) and Deployer experience drops from kills and mined blocks (kinetics.deployerKillDropXp, kinetics.deployerMineDropXp). Deployers collect dropped experience as Nuggets of Experience (kinetics.deployerCollectXp). A Deployer-held item with Mending can then be mended (kinetics.deployerMendItem), and Deployers can do sweep attacks (kinetics.deployerSweepAttack).[1][6]
The mod also lets items with Mending be repaired on a belt using a Spout and Liquid Experience.[1]
Super Experience
Super Experience comes as a Nugget of Super Experience and a Block of Super Experience, linked by the crafting recipe below. The block can also be pressed into a Super Enchanting Template, shown after it.[4]

How do you progress through Create: Enchantment Industry?
7 parts
This pack doesn't give Enchantment Industry its own quest line. The only quest that touches the mod sits in the World Engine Tier 5 chapter. "Enchanted Book Production" quest is untitled and asks you to bring an Enchanter and a Printer. It unlocks after another quest.[3]
Because the quest book only covers the Printer, the rest of this section is grouped by what the in-pack recipes involve. These are not official tiers from the pack. Recipes marked as changed by the pack differ from the mod's defaults, so don't trust other guides for those.[3][4]
Quest goal: the Printer
The Printer uses the mod's own recipe, unchanged by the pack. It is the Enchantment Industry item the quest asks you to bring.[3][4]
Early machines and experience handling
Below are the Mechanical Grindstone, the Experience Lantern and the Experience Hatch. The pack adds the Experience Hatch recipe itself, while the Grindstone and the Lantern are unchanged from the mod.[4]

Essences and affix templates
The pack changes the Create mixing recipes that dissolve Apotheosis materials. Materials of every rarity, from common to mythic, dissolve into Apotheotic Essence, and Gem Dust dissolves into Crystal Essence.[4]
Those essences feed the sequenced assembly recipes for the Brass Affix Template, Crystal Affix Template and Apotheotic Affix Template. The pack changed all of these. The Brass Bookshelf is also a pack-changed sequenced assembly.[4]

How does Create: Enchantment Industry work with other mods?
4 parts
Create: Enchantment Industry is built to plug into other mods, and this pack leans on that. Most of the links are in the recipes, so this page walks through where the mod's items pick up ingredients or outputs from other mods. Many of these recipes are changed by the pack, so don't assume you'll get the mod's defaults.[1][4]
Create and Create: Dragons Plus
Create is the mod's foundation, and its parts feed several of the recipes. The pack adds one recipe of its own: the Experience Hatch. The Mechanical Grindstone and Experience Lantern keep the mod's own recipes, and both are shown after the hatch.[4]

Dragon's breath
The mod's Infused Dragon's Breath fluid is made by infusing the Dragon's Breath from Create: Dragons Plus. You can also move between the mod's fluid and the Apothic Enchanting Infused Dragon's Breath item. Emptying turns the item into the fluid and returns a Glass Bottle, and filling does the reverse. The pack changed these recipes. Note that the mod's fluid and the Apothic Enchanting item share a name but come from different mods.[4]

Which FTB StoneBlock 4 quests use Create: Enchantment Industry?
In this pack, the quest book has one quest that asks for this mod's items: "Enchanted Book Production" quest, in the World Engine Tier 5 chapter. The quest has no title in the quest file.[3]
The quest has item tasks. You hand in an Enchanter and a Printer. That pairs an Ender IO machine with this mod's Printer in the same quest.[3]
For order, the quest comes after "Mek Haters Unite" quest, so finish that one first.[3]
Which Create: Enchantment Industry config options matter?
5 parts
Good news: this pack leaves almost all of the mod's settings alone. The only values changed from the mod default are the fluid capacities of the Grindstone Drain and the Printer. Everything below is the server config unless I say otherwise.[6]
What the pack changed
- kinetics.fluids.mechanicalGrindstoneFluidCapacity is 5,000 mB in this pack. The mod default is 1,000. This is how much liquid a Grindstone Drain can hold.[6]
- kinetics.fluids.printerFluidCapacity is 50,000 mB in this pack. The mod default is 4,000. This is how much liquid a Printer can hold, so you can store a lot more before it needs a refill.[6]
Classic Blaze Enchanter is turned off
features.processing.processing/classic_blaze_enchanter is set to false here, so the Classic Blaze Enchanter is not enabled. The mod describes it as the old v1.0 Blaze Enchanter, brought back as an optional feature. The sources don't say what the mod's own default is, so I can't tell you whether the pack flipped it.[1][7]
Enchanting limits and costs
The Blaze Enchanter limits are at their mod defaults. kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxEnchantLevel is 30 for Regular Enchanting, and kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxSuperEnchantLevel is 60 for Super Enchanting. Both level extensions, kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxLevelExtension and kinetics.enchantments.blazeForgerMaxLevelExtension, are 1.[6]
The experience cost multipliers, such as kinetics.processing.blazeEnchanterNormalEnchantingCostMultiplier and kinetics.processing.blazeForgerNormalForgingCostMultiplier, are all at their mod default of 1. The pack doesn't make enchanting cheaper or more expensive.[6]
kinetics.enchantments.ignoreEnchantmentCompatibility is true, so Super Enchanting and Super Forging ignore enchantment compatibility. kinetics.enchantments.extractEnchantmentRespectLevelExtension is false.[6]
Deployers and Crushing Wheels
kinetics.deployerCollectXp is true, and kinetics.deployerMendItem needs it to work and is also true. kinetics.deployerSweepAttack, kinetics.deployerKillDropXp and kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXp are true as well.[6]
The Deployer XP scales are untouched: kinetics.deployerKillXpScale and kinetics.deployerMineXpScale are both 1, the mod default.[6]
Printer and Experience Lantern
All the Printer functions are enabled, including kinetics.fluids.enableEnchantedBookPrinting and kinetics.fluids.enableWrittenBookPrinting. kinetics.fluids.printingEnchantedBookCostMultiplier is at its mod default of 1.[6]
The Experience Lantern is untouched. kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternPullToggle is true, kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternPullRadius is 10, and kinetics.fluids.experienceLanternFluidCapacity is 1,000 mB. All of these match the mod defaults.[6]
What changed in Create: Enchantment Industry between versions?
FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 ships Create: Enchantment Industry 2.5.3b, and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0.0 or earlier. Below are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[2]
- 2.5.3b (the version in this pack): fixed the Infuser crashing shortly after placement when using Apothic Enchanting 1.6.1 or newer. The changelog also notes that the Apothic Enchanting integration requires version 1.6.1 or newer.[2][9]
- 2.4.2: added Copper Age Backport compat, made the TML compat config independent, and fixed inappropriate class loading.[10]
- 2.4.1: added an Infused Dragon's Breath impact effect for Fragile Fluid Tanks. With Apotheosis integration active, the impact performs a Bulk Salvaging burst on nearby dropped items and may salvage equipped items. Apotheosis server config options for this salvaging behavior were added too.[11]
- 2.4.1 fixes: Bulk Salvaging now picks equipped items from salvageable equipment instead of effectively checking a fixed slot, and a dedicated server startup crash caused by the Ender Woven Bag's clientbound packet handler is fixed.[11]
- 2.3.1: an update for Create 6.0.10 that added support for copying schematics and fixed item duplication with Sable. The changelog says that if you cannot install the mechanical grindstone while Sable is installed, you should wait for a new Sable release containing a fix.[12]
- 2.3.0: an update for Create 6.0.9 that added compat for Touhou Little Maid.[13]
- 2.3.0 fixes: glitchy animation, unlocalized text for the attribute filter, EXP not being required during forging in certain situations, a crash when rotating the Blaze Enchanter, and breaking Printers destroying any EXP inside. Sweeping Edge on a deployer also did extremely low damage to non-main targets, and that is fixed.[13]
- 2.2.5b: fixed a crashing EXP item giving no EXP liquid.[14]
- 2.2.3: this version required Create: Dragon Plus 1.8.1. It added a compacting recipe for infested stone and a crushing recipe for infested cobblestone, and fixed the spout using too much EXP when mending.[15]
