What is Create: Enchantment Industry?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Create: Enchantment Industry adds more tools and methods for handling experience and enchanting inside Create. Its project page says the mod currently offers these, so if you like automating everything with belts, spouts and deployers, you can automate enchanting too.[1]
The pack includes version 2.5.3b of the mod.[2]
What it adds
The project page lists what the mod currently offers. These are the features that matter most for a Create player:[1]
- Liquid Experience, listed as a current feature: high-density experience that is easy to store and transport.[1]
- Experience Hatch, listed as a current feature: lets you interact with a fluid tank directly, using your own experience.[1]
- Mechanical Grindstone, listed as a current feature: a fully automated Grindstone with an extra sanding function.[1]
- Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger, listed as current features: a blaze acts as a smart enchanting table and as a smart anvil.[1]
- Printer, listed as a current feature: copies written books, enchanted books, name tags, train schedules and more.[1]
- Experience Lantern, listed as a current feature: absorbs experience and also works on contraptions.[1]
- Hyper-enchantmechanism, listed as a current feature: lets you break the limits of enchantments.[1]
- Mending on belt: items with Mending can be repaired using a Spout and Liquid Experience.[1]
- Deployer and Crushing Wheel tweak, listed as current features: their kills drop experience nuggets. Deployers also benefit from a sword with Sweeping Edge.[1]
The page also lists, among the features it currently offers, Apotheosis integration such as the Brass Bookshelf, Infuser and Gem Cutter, and an optional Classic Blaze Enchanter from the old v1.0 mod.[1]
Where it fits in the pack
Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests for this mod, and the mod isn't on the ATM Star path. There is also no in-jar guidebook to confirm progression details, so I can't say at what stage of the pack you're meant to reach it.
How do you get started with Create: Enchantment Industry?
6 parts
This mod is built around Liquid Experience, experience you can store, pipe and spend. So the first job is to get some of it flowing. Here's the order I'd go in.[1]
Mechanical Grindstone
Start with the Mechanical Grindstone. It's a fully automated grindstone, and there's even an advancement for watching it disenchant an item.[1][3]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/mechanical_grindstone
The pack raised the fluid capacity of the Grindstone Drain to 5,000 mB (the mod default is 1,000), so it can work for a good while before you need to empty it. See kinetics.fluids.mechanicalGrindstoneFluidCapacity.[4]
Get some Liquid Experience
Liquid Experience comes from several sources. Grinding a Nugget of Experience gives 3 and grinding a Block of Experience gives 27. Emptying a vanilla experience bottle gives 10 and hands the glass bottle back. The pack also changed some recipes: emptying a Mystical Agriculture Experience Droplet gives 10, and grinding an Ars Nouveau Experience Gem gives 3.[5]
Deployers and Crushing Wheels help too. In this pack both are set so their kills drop experience, and Deployers collect dropped experience as Nuggets of Experience.[1][4]
Experience Lantern
Next, make an Experience Lantern to absorb loose experience. In this pack it holds 1,000 mB and pulls in orbs within a range of 10, with pulling switched on.[1][4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/experience_lantern
Blaze Enchanter
Once you have a steady supply of liquid, get the Blaze Enchanter. It works as a smart enchanting table, and it's made with a smithing recipe, not normal crafting.[1][5]
Smithing Transform
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:smithing/blaze_enchanter
The pack raised the level caps. Regular enchanting goes up to level 50 (mod default 30), and Super Enchanting goes up to level 100 (mod default 60). See kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxEnchantLevel and kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxSuperEnchantLevel.[4]
Blaze Forger and Printer
The Blaze Forger is the matching smart anvil, and it's also a smithing recipe.[1][5]
Smithing Transform
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:smithing/blaze_forger
The Printer copies written books, enchanted books, name tags and more. Here its tank holds 6,000 mB, up from the mod default of 4,000.[1][4]
Where to go next
The mod also has Apotheosis machines, and the pack changed the recipes for the Infuser, the Gem Cutter, the Affix Augmentor and the Blaze Composer. The Blaze Composer is a smithing upgrade that uses the Affix Augmentor, so make that one first.[1][5]
How does Create: Enchantment Industry work?
7 parts
Create: Enchantment Industry gives Create a whole way to handle experience and enchanting: Liquid Experience, Blaze-powered enchanting and forging, a smarter Grindstone, a Printer and some Apotheosis add-ons. Here is how the pieces work together in this pack.[1]
Liquid Experience and the Experience Hatch
Liquid Experience is high-density experience that is easy to store and transport. Be careful when placing it: in this pack, Liquid Experience vaporizes into Experience Orbs when placed (see kinetics.fluids.experienceVaporizeOnPlacement), so keep it in tanks and pipes.[1][4]
The Experience Hatch lets you interact with a fluid tank directly using your own experience. You can store experience in it and retrieve it again.[1][3]
Item Application (create)
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:item_application/experience_hatch
For supply, the mod grinds Blocks of Experience and Blocks of Super Experience into Liquid Experience, and empties bottles of experience into it. The pack changed the Ars Nouveau Experience Gem grinding recipe and the Mystical Agriculture Experience Droplet emptying recipe.[5]

Blaze Enchanter
The Blaze Enchanter works as an automated enchanting table. Its goggle help text describes two modes: direct, which randomly enchants a compatible item using the selected enchanting level, and template, which writes one enchantment suitable for the template item into a blank Enchanting Template.[1][3]
Smithing Transform
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:smithing/blaze_enchanter
The pack raised the level caps. Regular Enchanting goes up to level 50 (the mod default is 30), and Super Enchanting goes up to level 100 (the mod default is 60). The tank holds 4,000 mB, the same as the mod default. All the experience cost multipliers (direct, regular, super and template) are left at 1.[4]
- kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxEnchantLevel is 50 in this pack.[4]
- kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxSuperEnchantLevel is 100 in this pack.[4]
- Super Enchanting and Super Forging ignore enchantment compatibility here, and the extension for max level above the cap is 1 when no per-enchantment rule exists.[4]
- Blocked-lightning Super Enchanting rolls for a curse: up to 1 roll, 0.5 chance per roll, and a maximum curse level of 1.[4]
Blaze Forger
The Blaze Forger is the smart anvil. Its goggle help text lists three modes: apply puts an enchanted book or filled Enchanting Template onto a target item, extract pulls one enchantment from an item, book or template into a blank Enchanting Template, and merge combines matching enchantment carriers, books, templates or matching equipment.[1][3]
Its tank holds 4,000 mB, and its cost multipliers are all 1. When Super Forging ignores an enchantment conflict it adds 1 extra level of cost, and repairing durability during a merge adds 2 levels. These are the same as the mod defaults.[4]
Templates come from pressing experience blocks. A Block of Experience presses into an Enchanting Template, and a Block of Super Experience presses into a Super Enchanting Template.[5]
Pressing (create)

Natural lightning strikes can transform Blocks of Experience, and the pack leaves that chance at 1.[4]
Mechanical Grindstone and Printer
The Mechanical Grindstone is a fully automated Grindstone with an extra sanding function. It disenchants items and gives you Liquid Experience. Both the Mechanical Grindstone and the Grindstone Drain have a stress impact of 4 in this pack. The pack raised the Grindstone Drain capacity to 5,000 mB (the mod default is 1,000).[1][3][4]
The Printer copies written books, enchanted books, name tags, train schedules and more. In this pack it holds 6,000 mB (the mod default is 4,000). Every printing function is enabled: banner patterns, Create copiable items, custom names, enchanted books, package addresses, package patterns and written books. Enchanted books containing a denylisted enchantment can't be copied, and the generation change for copying written books is -3.[1][3][4]
Experience Lantern, Deployers and Crushing Wheels
- The Experience Lantern absorbs experience and also works on contraptions. It pulls in nearby orbs within a radius of 10, holds 1,000 mB and drains 50 mB from a player per 0.5 ticks.[1][4]
- Deployers collect dropped experience as Nuggets of Experience and can mend held items that have Mending. They can also do sweep attacks, and both kills and mined blocks drop experience.[1][4]
- Crushing Wheel kills can drop experience in this pack. The chance and the amount are set by kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXpChance and kinetics.crushingWheelKillDropXpScale, both at the mod defaults.[4]
- Items with Mending on a belt can be repaired using a Spout and Liquid Experience.[1]
Apotheosis machines
The Affix Augmentor automates upgrading the affixes on equipment, which you would normally do in the Augmenting Table. It must sit on a horizontal Belt or Depot. It needs a tank of Apotheotic Essence, with a Fluid Tank 2 blocks beneath it.[3]
The Blaze Composer transfers, combines and reapplies Apotheosis affixes. You supply Apotheotic Essence through the bottom to activate Normal Mode, which accepts Brass and Crystal Affix Templates, each with its own level capacity. Use the side panel to pick a mode:[3]
- Extract moves one affix from equipment into a matching blank template and returns the equipment without that affix.[3]
- Merge combines templates of the same tier and rarity. Two matching level 0.25 affixes produce level 0.5.[3]
- Apply consumes the template and adds or upgrades every compatible affix on the target equipment.[3]
Mechanical Arms can automate the Composer. In Extract Mode, two input Depots provide the affixed equipment and a blank template, and the input Arm puts each item in the right slot. Every output must be removed before the Composer accepts the next batch, so neither an Arm nor a player can start another batch until then. The output Arm takes the stripped equipment and the filled template one after the other. Arms can also insert Apotheotic Essence containers and the Super activator, and a bottom pipe gives a continuous fluid supply.[3]
The pack changed how Apotheotic Essence is made: mixing Mysterious Scrap Metal gives it. The pack also rewrote the sequenced assembly for the brass, crystal and apotheotic affix templates, and gave the Infuser its own crafting recipe.[5][6]

Added by the pack. The intermediate item is the Incomplete Apotheotic Affix Template.
Dragon's Breath and the Cake
The pack changed the infusing recipe for Infused Dragon's Breath: 250 Dragon's Breath become 750 Infused Dragon's Breath. Emptying an Infused Dragon's Breath bottle from Apothic Enchanting gives 250 of the fluid, and that recipe is also pack-changed.[5]

Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:infusing/infused_dragon_breath
The Cake o' Enchanting is made by filling a Cake Base o' Enchanting with 1,000 Liquid Experience, and the pack changed the base's compacting recipe. Cutting a cake gives 4 Cake Slice o' Enchanting.[5]

How do you progress through Create: Enchantment Industry?
4 parts
This mod has no single ladder in the pack, so the tiers below follow the in-pack recipes. They run from grinding plain experience, through the Infuser, up to the blaze upgrades and the affix templates.[5]
First tier: Handling liquid experience
Your starting point is the Mechanical Grindstone. It turns experience items into Liquid Experience. A Block of Experience gives 27× and a Nugget of Experience gives 3×. The Block of Super Experience and its nugget give the same amounts.[5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/mechanical_grindstone
The pack changed the Ars Nouveau gem recipes: an Experience Gem gives 3× and a Greater Experience Gem gives 12×. The Ars Technica gems are untouched mod recipes: a Giant Experience Gem gives 48× and a Gargantuan one gives 192×. Emptying an experience bottle gives 10×. The pack also changed the Mystical Agriculture Experience Droplet recipe, which gives 10×.[5]
The Printer and the Experience Lantern are also plain mod recipes, so they are good early builds.[5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:crafting/experience_lantern
Pressing a Block of Experience gives an Enchanting Template. Pressing a Block of Super Experience gives a Super Enchanting Template.[5]
Second tier: The Infuser and infused materials
The pack rewrote the Infuser recipe in its own KubeJS script, so don't expect the mod's default. Check the recipe below before you plan this step.[5][6]

For a side project, there is the Cake o' Enchanting. The pack changed the Cake Base o' Enchanting recipe, and the base and the filling step are both shown below. Cutting the cake gives 4× Cake Slice o' Enchanting.[5]

Third tier: Blaze upgrades and enchanting gear
The blaze machines are all smithing upgrades. The Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger use the mod's own recipes. The pack changed both the Blaze Composer and the Affix Augmentor recipes, so check them below before you plan this step.[5]

Fourth tier: Essences and affix templates
The affix templates are the pack's top tier. The pack adds a sequenced assembly for each one and removes the mod's own version of the recipe in its KubeJS script. They go from the Brass Affix Template to the Crystal Affix Template to the Apotheotic Affix Template.[5][6]

You get the essences by dissolving Apotheosis materials in mixing recipes. The pack changed all of these. Gem Dust gives 10× Crystal Essence. Apotheotic Essence scales with material rarity:[5]
- Uncommon material: 3× Apotheotic Essence[5]
- Rare material: 9×[5]
- Epic material: 27×[5]
- Mythic material: 81×[5]
One more pack change: the Productive Bees mixing recipe for the Nugget of Super Experience was altered. A Block of Super Experience can be crafted from nuggets, and the block splits back into 9× nuggets.[5]

How does Create: Enchantment Industry work with other mods?
4 parts
In this pack, Create: Enchantment Industry is wired into several other mods. Most of the links are recipes that turn other mods' items into Liquid Experience or essences, plus crafting recipes for the machines. The mod's own page lists Create and Create: Dragons Plus as installation requirements, and an Apotheosis series integration. The pack changes many of these recipes, so what you see in-game is the pack's version.[1][5]
Experience from other mods
Several mods' experience items can be turned into Liquid Experience through grinding or emptying recipes.[5]
- Ars Nouveau: Experience Gem and Greater Experience Gem both grind into Liquid Experience. The pack changed both recipes.[5]
- Ars Technica: Giant Experience Gem and Gargantuan Experience Gem also grind into Liquid Experience. These use the mod's own recipes.[5]
- Mystical Agriculture: an Experience Droplet can be emptied into Liquid Experience. The pack changed this recipe.[5]
- Create: Nugget of Experience and Block of Experience both grind into Liquid Experience. Liquid Experience can also be compacted back into a Block of Experience.[5]
Apotheosis and Apothic Enchanting
This is the biggest connection. The pack changed a set of mixing recipes that feed Apotheotic Essence. The recipe ids grade the Apotheosis inputs from common to mythic: Mysterious Scrap Metal, Timeworn Fabric, Luminous Crystal Shard, Arcane Sands and Godforged Pearl. Gem Dust has its own mixing recipe that gives Crystal Essence instead. Here is the common one.[5]
Mixing (create)
Recipe id: create_enchantment_industry:mixing/dissolve_common_material
The pack also adds sequenced assembly recipes for the affix templates. The apotheotic and crystal versions use the essences from the mixing step, while the brass version uses Mysterious Scrap Metal together with a Copper Sheet.[5]

The Experience Hatch is a direct tie-in with Create: Dragons Plus's Fluid Hatch. Dragon's Breath links the mods as well: Dragon's Breath is the starting point for Infused Dragon's Breath in an infusing recipe the pack changed.[5]

You can move that fluid in and out of bottles to reach Apothic Enchanting's Infused Dragon's Breath. Filling a Glass Bottle with the fluid gives you the Apothic item, and emptying the Apothic item gives back the fluid and a bottle. The pack changed both recipes.[5]
Productive Bees
The pack changed a Productive Bees conversion recipe that uses the Super Enchanting Template to produce the super_experience bee.[5]
Which Create: Enchantment Industry config options matter?
4 parts
Most of this mod's settings live in one server config file. The pack only changed four values from the mod defaults. Everything else is at the mod default, or has no default listed in the pack's config, so it behaves the way the mod ships.[4]
Values this pack changed
- kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxEnchantLevel is 50 here. The mod default is 30. This is the max experience level a Blaze Enchanter can use in Regular Enchanting.[4]
- kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxSuperEnchantLevel is 100 here. The mod default is 60. This is the same limit for Super Enchanting.[4]
- kinetics.fluids.mechanicalGrindstoneFluidCapacity is 5,000 mB here. The mod default is 1,000 mB. It is how much liquid a Grindstone Drain can hold.[4]
- kinetics.fluids.printerFluidCapacity is 6,000 mB here. The mod default is 4,000 mB. It is how much liquid a Printer can hold.[4]
Costs and limits left at default
Every Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger experience cost multiplier is 1, so nothing is made cheaper or pricier. That covers regular, super, direct and template enchanting, plus normal forging, super forging, apply, extract and merge. Blaze Forger repair adds a level cost of 2 and ignoring an enchantment conflict adds an extra 1. Both are at their mod defaults.[4]
For Super Enchanting and Super Forging, kinetics.enchantments.ignoreEnchantmentCompatibility is true, so enchantment compatibility is ignored. The level extension for both kinetics.enchantments.blazeEnchanterMaxLevelExtension and kinetics.enchantments.blazeForgerMaxLevelExtension is 1, as in the mod default. It applies when no per-enchantment rule exists. kinetics.enchantments.extractEnchantmentRespectLevelExtension is false.[4]
Blocked-lightning Super Enchanting can add a curse. The chance per roll is 0.5, there is at most 1 roll, and the curse level tops out at 1. These are the mod defaults.[4]
Experience from machines
Deployers collect dropped experience, can mend held items, can sweep attack, and their kills and mined blocks drop experience. All of these are on, and both Deployer experience scales are 1. Crushing Wheel kills also drop experience, with the chance and scale left at their defaults.[4]
The Experience Lantern pulls in nearby experience orbs. The pull radius is 10, the drain rate is 50 and the capacity is 1,000 mB, all at mod defaults.[4]
Printer options
Every Printer function is enabled: banner patterns, Create's copiable items, custom names, Enchanted Books, package addresses, package patterns and Written Books. The Enchanted Book cost multiplier is 1. The denylist still stops denied Enchanted Books from being copied. Custom names are not printed as item names.[4]
Blaze Enchanter and Blaze Forger fluid capacity are both 4,000 mB, the mod default.[4]
What changed in Create: Enchantment Industry between versions?
6 parts
All the Mons 1.3.0 ships Create: Enchantment Industry 2.5.3b, and the mod has been in the pack since 0.3.0-beta or earlier. Below are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[7]
2.5.3b (the version in this pack)
- Fixed the Infuser crashing shortly after placement when using Apothic Enchanting 1.6.1 or newer.[8]
- Apothic Enchanting integration now requires version 1.6.1 or newer.[8]
2.5.0
This update centres on Apotheosis content, with a lot of polish for the Blaze machines.[9]
- Added the Blaze Composer and Affix Templates for handling Apotheosis affixes. The Apotheotic content now has its own creative tab.[9]
- Added more customizable options for the Blaze Forger and Blaze Enchanter, plus improved arm interaction and goggle tooltips for both.[9]
- Added goggle tooltips for the Gem Cutter and the Affix Augmentor.[9]
- The Affix Augmentor now has a configurable maximum level and a global cost multiplier. Affix composing rules can deny or reprice augmenting separately.[9]
- The Blaze Forger now needs you to pick its mode manually through the side panel, for a better automation setup.[9]
- Added support for third-party lightning rods exposed through shared block tags.[9]
- Printers now support Dye Depot's extended colors in banner patterns, custom names, goggles and JEI previews.[9]
Before the release, a 2.5.0 preview alpha went out. Its changelog warns against adding it to a normal save or modpack. It lists fixes for the Gem Cutter not processing flawless gems on a depot, the Affix Augmentor failing to start on belt-held items, and how curses work in the Blaze Forger.[10]
2.4.2
- Added Copper Age Backport compat.[11]
- The TML compat config is now independent.[11]
- Fixed inappropriate class loading.[11]
2.3.1
- Updated for Create 6.0.10 and added support for copying schematics.[12]
- Fixed an item duplication bug with Sable.[12]
2.3.0
This update targeted Create 6.0.9 and added compat for Touhou Little Maid. It also fixed a batch of bugs:[13]
- Glitchy animation and unlocalized text on the attribute filter.[13]
- EXP not being required during forging in certain situations.[13]
- A crash when rotating the Blaze Enchanter.[13]
- Breaking a Printer destroying any EXP inside it.[13]
- Sweeping Edge on a deployer doing extremely low damage to non-main targets.[13]
2.2.5b
Fixed a crash where an EXP item gave no EXP liquid.[14]
