What is Ender IO?
1 part
Ender IO is a full-featured tech mod. It adds armor, tools, weapons, machines, conduits, inventory management and mobs. Conduits are the signature piece: they move things between your machines, and the mod lists item, fluid, energy and redstone types.[1]
This pack ships Ender IO 8.2.11-beta. The mod is being rewritten from the ground up for modern Minecraft, so some features from older versions haven't been ported yet. If you remember something from the old 1.12.2 days and can't find it here, that may be why.[1][2]
Where it fits in this pack
Early on, Ender IO shows up in the power setup. The quest a quest in "New Beginning" teaches you that not every mod shares energy between machines the way Mekanism does, and that some need you to move it. Conduit Bundle is one of the accepted ways to do that, alongside pipes and cables from other mods. Each machine and pipe has its own configuration for where energy goes in and out.[3]
Later you meet the Powered Spawner, which has its own quest, a quest in "Apothic Spawners", in the Apothic Spawners chapter. It is Ender IO's take on a mob spawner. You need a filled Soul Vial and a Broken Spawner to make it. Once it's placed, give it a Capacitor and power it, and it spawns mobs. It can also fill Soul Vials directly, with no Clicker needed.[4]
The Yeta Wrench is also useful outside the mod. It is one of the wrenches accepted by a quest in "Industrial Foregoing" in the Industrial Foregoing chapter. That quest collects wrenches that can rotate Industrial Foregoing machines, tested mainly on the Laser Drill. Some wrenches might not work on other machines.[5]
Unverified The sources don't show Ender IO on the ATM Star quest path, so don't count on it as a required step for that goal.
How do you get started with Ender IO?
5 parts
Ender IO is a full-featured tech mod with machines, conduits, tools, armor and inventory management. In this pack, your first steps are about getting a capacitor into your machines and learning how to move power around. Here's the order I'd go in.[1]
Start with a Basic Capacitor
Ender IO machines need a capacitor before they will work: without one, the machine tells you to insert any capacitor. That makes Basic Capacitor the first thing to craft. This is the exact in-pack recipe.[6][7]

Store energy in a Capacitor Bank
Next, build a capacitor bank. The mod even has an advancement for building one. The Basic Capacitor Bank uses the capacitor you just made as part of its recipe. Later you can move up to the Advanced Capacitor Bank, which has an upgrade recipe starting from the basic bank.[6][7]

Craft a Yeta Wrench
Not every mod just shares energy between neighboring machines. Some need you to move it, and each machine and pipe has its own settings for where energy goes in and out. To change which end pushes and which pulls, you need a wrench on each end. The Yeta Wrench is Ender IO's wrench, and the quest book lists it among the wrenches that can rotate Industrial Foregoing machines. See a quest in "New Beginning" and a quest in "Industrial Foregoing".[3][5][7]

Run energy conduits
Conduits are how Ender IO moves energy from one machine to another. The quest book counts the Ender IO conduit as one of the ways to do it, alongside other mods' pipes and cables. This is the energy conduit recipe.[1][3][7]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: enderio:energy_conduit
The pack also adds its own recipes that make Ender IO conduits from AE2 cables and from Mekanism tubes. If you already have those around, check the recipe viewer for the conduit recipes marked as added by the pack.[7]
Build your first machine
The Alloy Smelter is one of the Ender IO machines you can craft early. Its recipe is the mod's own, not one changed by the pack. Remember to give it a capacitor, or it won't run.[6][7]

How does Ender IO work?
4 parts
Ender IO is a full-featured tech mod: machines, conduits, inventory management, armor, tools and more. Its conduits come in these types: item, fluid, energy, redstone, Applied Energistics 2 ME, Refined Storage and Mekanism chemicals.[1]
Heads up: the in-game guide entries for this mod are only placeholders, and the pack has no config files for it. This section sticks to what the mod's names and the pack's recipes actually show, and it is shorter than you might expect.[8][9][10]
Machines and machine recipes
The mod's language file names a lot of machine blocks, including the Alloy Smelter, Crafter, Painting Machine, Powered Spawner, Farming Station, Enchanter, Fluid Tank, Pressurized Fluid Tank, Impulse Hopper, Block Detector and Drain.[6]
The recipe dump shows machine-style recipe types for alloy smelting, sag milling, soul binding and painting. Alloy smelting turns colorless glass into Clear Glass.[7]

How do you progress through Ender IO?
4 parts
Ender IO doesn't have a questline of its own in the pack. Instead, three quests point you at it: one about moving energy, one about wrenches, and one about the Powered Spawner. The progression below follows those quests and the in-pack recipes.[3][4][5]
Moving power and getting a wrench
Ender IO machines don't share energy like Mekanism ones do, so you have to move it yourself. The New Beginning quest a quest in "New Beginning" accepts an Conduit Bundle (among other pipes and cables) as a way to carry energy between machines. It also says each machine and pipe has its own settings for where energy goes in and out, and that you need a wrench on each end of energy pipes to change which side pushes and which pulls.[3]
The Yeta Wrench is one of the wrenches the Industrial Foregoing quest a quest in "Industrial Foregoing" lists as able to rotate Industrial Foregoing machines. That quest notes the wrenches were tested mainly on the Laser Drill, so some may not work on other machines. Here is the Yeta Wrench recipe.[5][7]

Later on: the Powered Spawner
The Apothic Spawners quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners" is the Ender IO goal in this pack. The Powered Spawner is Ender IO's mob spawner. You need a filled Soul Vial and a Broken Spawner. Technically only the Soul Vial is needed to change the spawner's mob. Craft the Powered Spawner with the Broken Spawner you like, place it, give it a capacitor and power it. The quest also says it can fill Soul Vials directly, with no Clicker needed.[4]

How does Ender IO work with other mods?
5 parts
Ender IO doesn't live on its own in this pack. Several other mods feed into it, and the pack added or changed a bunch of recipes to make that happen. Here's what you'll run into.[7]
Mekanism transport becomes Ender IO conduits
The pack adds recipes that turn Mekanism's pressurized tubes and its advanced thermodynamic conductor into Conduit Bundle, using a Conduit Binder. There are also upgrade recipes that start from Infused Alloy and Reinforced Alloy. This fits Ender IO's own conduit list, which includes a Mekanism Chemicals type.[1][7]

Conduits also show up early. The quest a quest in "New Beginning" lists them next to Pipez, Mekanism, Powah and Oritech energy transport as ways to move energy from one machine to another.[3]
Oritech
The pack changed Oritech's Fluid Pipe and Pump recipes so that both use Ender IO's Conduit Binder.[7]

Mystical Agriculture and Productive Bees
You can farm Ender IO materials instead of smelting them. The pack changed the Mystical Agriculture recipes that turn essences into Ender IO ingots, including Dark Steel Ingot, Vibrant Alloy Ingot and Soularium Ingot. The same set covers Grains of Infinity.[7]
The pack also added a recipe for the Enderman Head that uses a Blank Skull and Enderman essence.[7]

Productive Bees has pack-changed centrifuge recipes for Ender IO honeycombs. They give you nuggets such as End Steel Nugget and Pulsating Alloy Nugget, plus Wax. The infinity honeycomb gives Grains of Infinity instead of a nugget.[7]
Compressed blocks and Create
All the Compressed has pack-changed compress and decompress recipes for Ender IO alloy blocks. One example is Dark Steel Block 1x, which converts back to Dark Steel Block. The same pattern covers the other alloy blocks, including copper alloy.[7]

Quests that cross over
- a quest in "Apothic Spawners" sits in the Apothic Spawners chapter and covers the Powered Spawner, Ender IO's take on the mob spawner. The quest text says you need a filled Soul Vial and a Broken Spawner, then a Capacitor and power once it's placed.[4]
- a quest in "Industrial Foregoing" sits in the Industrial Foregoing chapter and lists wrenches that can rotate Industrial Foregoing machines. The Yeta Wrench is one of them, but the quest notes that some wrenches might not work with every machine.[5]
Which All the Mons quests use Ender IO?
3 parts
Ender IO doesn't have a chapter of its own in this pack. It shows up in quests spread across other chapters, and in most of them it's just one of several items that can complete the task.[3][4][5]
New Beginning: moving energy
The quest a quest in "New Beginning" comes after the Power quest. It accepts any one of several energy carriers, including Conduit Bundle alongside Pipez, Mekanism, Powah and Oritech options. It explains that not every mod shares energy between machines automatically, so you often have to move it with pipes, cables or conduits.[3]
Each machine and pipe has its own configuration for where energy goes in and out. To change that on energy pipes, the quest says you need a wrench on each end to choose which side pushes and which pulls.[3]
Industrial Foregoing: the wrench list
The quest a quest in "Industrial Foregoing" comes after the Industrial Foregoing quest. Its task accepts any one of the listed wrenches, and the Yeta Wrench is one of them. The others come from Supplementaries, Immersive Engineering, Just Dire Things and PneumaticCraft.[5]
The quest author wrote it because most wrenches can't rotate Industrial Foregoing machines. The list was tested mainly on the Laser Drill, so some wrenches might not work on other machines. Click the task in the quest to see all the valid wrenches.[5]
Apothic Spawners: the Powered Spawner
This is the quest that is fully about Ender IO. a quest in "Apothic Spawners" asks you to obtain the Powered Spawner, and it comes after an earlier quest in the same chapter.[4]
The quest describes the Powered Spawner as the Mob Spawner made with Ender IO. You start with a filled Soul Vial and a Broken Spawner. Technically only the Soul Vial is needed to change the spawner's mob. Once you have a Broken Spawner you like, you craft the Powered Spawner from it.[4]
- Get a filled Soul Vial and a Broken Spawner.[4]
- Craft the Powered Spawner using the Broken Spawner.[4]
- Place it down and give it a Capacitor.[4]
- Power it, and it starts spawning mobs.[4]
Which Ender IO config options matter?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.11 guide
There's nothing to tune here. The pack ships no config files for this mod, so every option runs at whatever the mod itself defaults to, and nothing has been changed for this pack.[1]
That also means you don't need to touch anything before you start building machines and conduits. Energy, item, fluid, redstone, Applied Energistics 2 ME, Refined Storage and Mekanism chemical conduits are all present in the version bundled here, as are the machines, armor, weapons, tools, enchantments and decorative blocks.[1]
Unverified Any in-game config screen this mod may expose has not been checked against the pack, so treat anything you find there as mod defaults rather than pack-tuned values.
What changed in Ender IO between versions?
3 parts
All the Mons 1.1.1 ships Ender IO 8.2.11-beta, and the mod was already in the pack by 0.3.0-beta or earlier. There are no pack changelog entries for Ender IO, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs. Here are the changes that matter most to you as a player.[2]
8.1.0: rebalance and cleanup
This release focused on Ender IO's internals, but it also reworked a lot of recipes. The authors warned that it might not drop into modpacks smoothly, because packs needed time to update custom recipes and questlines.[11]
- Copper Alloy was removed, and other alloy recipes changed. Pulsating alloy in particular became cheaper.[11]
- The sag mill no longer requires dark steel.[11]
- Conduits now share a naming scheme with cap banks (normal, energetic and vibrant), with recipes adjusted to match.[11]
- The Farming Station moved out of experimental.[11]
- Capacitors can be fed into machines by automation, but not taken back out.[11]
- Config options were added for ME Conduit energy consumption, and the defaults changed to 0.[11]
- Fixes included fluid tanks and the VAT duplicating things, and facades appearing in other dimensions.[11]
Version 8.1.1-beta removed energy throttling, so machines that send energy now distribute it evenly. It also added a whitelist tag for capturing and spawning mobs, and fixed in-place upgrading of item conduits and a logic problem with travel anchors.[12]
8.2 series: mixed conduit tiers
Version 8.2.0-alpha was the big one. Energy, item, fluid and chemical conduits of different tiers can now connect to one another, and transfer speeds drop when the route passes through a lower-tier conduit. Conduits always take the shortest path, even if a faster route exists that is longer. Modpack developers can enable or disable this per conduit type in the mod's config.[13]
- Energy conduits went back to peer-to-peer, so they no longer have an energy buffer. Any energy stored in them was voided.[13]
- Fluid and chemical locking was removed, so those conduits carry any number of fluids or chemicals at once. All tiers also support priority.[13]
- The limited item filter was added.[13]
- Grinding ball data moved to a NeoForge data map, so add-ons like Ender IO Kube JS needed time to catch up.[13]
Unverified Whether All the Mons enables or disables mixed-tier conduit connections for each conduit type has not been confirmed.
8.2.2 to 8.2.11: stability fixes
- 8.2.2-alpha fixed a crash when disconnecting two conduits of different tiers.[14]
- 8.2.5-beta added keybinds and curio support to the staff of travelling and the electromagnet, fixed energy conduits that broke in the previous update, and stopped machine state tooltips from overlapping other UI.[15]
- 8.2.9-beta added a potential fix for poor energy conduit performance and crashes.[16]
- 8.2.10-beta fixed loading conduit data from saved data and increased the pickup range of vacuum blocks.[17]
- 8.2.11-beta, the version in this pack, improved fire crafting, so fire water can now be used for it. It also discards networks corrupted by the update from 8.0.7 to 8.2.9 and fixes a server crash caused by the coordinate selector.[18]
