Navas ZA Megas is a mod in All the Mons 1.3.0, where it is version 1.7.6. Adds All Megas from Pokemon Legends ZA into Cobblemon! (MSD Required) (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is Navas ZA Megas?

3 parts

Navas ZA Megas adds every Mega Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Z-A to Cobblemon. The project page counts 45 Megas in total, DLC included. It needs Mega Showdown (MSD) to work, so think of it as a content add-on for that mod.[1]

This pack ships version 1.7.6 of the mod. It is for you if you want the Legends Z-A Megas in your Cobblemon world.[1][2]

What you get in-game

The mod shows abilities, ability effects and Mega Stone crafting recipes in-game, and the author asks players not to request lists elsewhere. Since the 1.5.2 release, the Megas use the same abilities as the Legends Z-A OU format on Pokémon Showdown. Check that format for the exact details.[1]

Where it came from

The original Navas authors stopped updating the addon and deleted their Discord. It was handed to MSD moderators, who keep it going until it can be fully built into MSD.[1]

Watch out: If you add things on top of this pack, don't install zamegaearly, because its content is already integrated here. Don't mix in other Mega packs either, as the project page says that causes conflicts.[1]

Progression

Unverified The sources I have don't say where this mod fits in the pack's progression. I can't confirm any quest, ATM Star path link or gating, so check in-game for how you get Mega Stones.

How do you get started with Navas ZA Megas?

4 parts

Navas ZA Megas adds the Mega Pokémon from Pokémon Legends Z-A to Cobblemon, 45 in total with the DLC included, and it needs Mega Showdown to run. In this pack the way in is crafting: the stones covered below each have a crafting recipe, and the pack has changed those recipes.[1][3]

Watch out: Don't add zamegaearly next to this mod, because its content is already built in. Don't mix it with other Mega packs either, since that causes conflicts.[1]

Get Mega Stones first

Every recipe for this mod in the pack uses a Mega Stone plus a diamond, so stock up on Mega Stones before anything else. Each recipe then adds its own extra items on top.[3]

Start with the simplest recipe

Baxcalibrite is a good first craft. Besides the Mega Stone and a diamond it only asks for a vanilla diamond sword, so there are no Cobblemon items and no netherite to hunt down.[3]

Lucarionite Z is a good next step. It adds one Cobblemon item and a feather to the Mega Stone and diamond.[3]

Move on to the Cobblemon item recipes

Next come the stones that need no netherite: Absolite Z, Garchompite Z, Golisopite and Tatsugirinite. Collect Mega Stones as you go, and check the recipes below for exactly what each one needs.[3]

Save the netherite recipes for last

These stones also ask for a netherite ingot, so they are the expensive ones: Darkranite, Heatranite, Magearnite, Zeraorite and Zygardite. Come back to them once you have netherite to spare.[3]

How does Navas ZA Megas work?

3 parts

This one is simpler than a tech mod, so I'll be upfront. Navas ZA Megas adds the Mega Pokémon from Pokémon Legends ZA to Cobblemon, 45 in total with the DLC included, and it needs MSD to work. The sources here don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation for it.[1]

What the mod does give you is a set of Mega Stones that you craft by hand. In this pack, the stone recipes below are shaped crafting recipes, and the pack marks each of them as changed. These are the pack's recipes, not the mod's defaults.[3]

Finding info in-game

The mod's own page says abilities, ability effects and Mega Stone crafting recipes can all be viewed in-game. It also asks players not to request lists, because the info is placed where it belongs in the game.[1]

Compatibility rules

Watch out: Don't use this mod alongside zamegaearly, because its content is already fully integrated here. Don't mix it with other Mega packs either, since conflicts will happen.[1]

How do you progress through Navas ZA Megas?

2 parts

Every stone from this mod is crafted, and the pack has changed each of these recipes. All of them need a Mega Stone and a diamond, so you can't make any of them until you have a Mega Stone in hand.[3]

Unverified The sources here don't show any quest involving this mod, so where it sits in the pack's quest book is unverified. The grouping below is based only on the crafting recipes, not on an official in-pack progression.

Stones without netherite

These stones are the entry group. Their recipes ask for a Mega Stone, a diamond and a type-themed Cobblemon item, and none of them needs a netherite ingot: Absolite Z, Baxcalibrite, Garchompite Z, Golisopite, Lucarionite Z and Tatsugirinite.[3]

Stones that need netherite

These stones each ask for a netherite ingot on top of the Mega Stone and the diamond, so they make natural later-game targets: Darkranite, Heatranite, Magearnite, Zeraorite and Zygardite.[3]

How does Navas ZA Megas work with other mods?

2 parts

Navas ZA Megas is built as an addon, and its project page says MSD is required. You can see the link in the pack's recipes: every Mega Stone recipe from this mod starts from the Mega Stone. The pack has changed all of these recipes, so what you see here is the pack's version, not the mod default.[1][3]

Cobblemon and vanilla items in the Mega Stone recipes

Besides the Mega Stone, each recipe also takes any diamond gem. Most of the mod's stones add a Cobblemon item on top, such as a gem, a held item or an evolution item. So you'll need to collect Cobblemon items before you can craft most of them.[3]

Baxcalibrite, Darkranite and Zygardite use vanilla Minecraft items instead of a Cobblemon one. Baxcalibrite needs a diamond sword, Darkranite needs an ender eye and Zygardite needs a nether star.[3]

Some stones also need any netherite ingot: Darkranite, Heatranite, Magearnite, Zeraorite and Zygardite. Plan for some late-game materials with those.[3]

Magearnite in Create and Ender IO progression

The pack also uses one of this mod's items outside the stone recipes. The Soul Heart Mechanism is made with a Create sequenced assembly, and the pack has changed this recipe. The assembly uses Magearnite together with Dark Bimetal Gear and any brass plate, and it starts from the Unfinished Soul Mechanism. That makes Magearnite useful beyond Mega Evolution.[3]

What changed in Navas ZA Megas between versions?

All the Mons 1.3.0 ships Navas ZA Megas 1.7.6, so you get every change listed below. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mons 0.13.0-beta or earlier. These notes come from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[2]

  • 1.7.6: cleanup and script fixes. This is the version in the pack.[2][4]
  • 1.7.5-hotfix: fixed a crash.[5]
  • 1.7.3: Alolan Raichu can no longer mega evolve outside of battle. The update also refreshed the PT_BR localization and brought new Greninja animations, a new Eelektross model with animations, and a new Scovillain model.[6]
  • 1.7.2: listed only as "Champions Changes!" The changelog gives no details, so I can't say what exactly changed.[7]
  • 1.7.1: general bug fixes, with no specifics listed.[8]
  • 1.6.1: fixed the Chesnaught poser and the Floette Eternal Flower move pool. Chesnaught's ability was also fixed, so it is now bulletproof, matching what was seen in the Pokémon Champions trailer.[9]
Tip: The 1.6.1 release also fixed a missing path for the "DynamaxBlocked": true setting. Before the fix, some mega evolutions could use Dynamax, so that is now closed off.[9]
